Chapter 28: The Scottish Empire
Harry was having a great day. He managed to outsmart Draco in their quidditch match. Gryffindor unsurprisingly won. It had been a very close match, but in the end it didn't matter. Both teams had the same score. Harry managed to catch the snitch by doing an extremely quick wronski feint. Draco, unsurprisingly, tried to trick Harry and attempt a reverse wronski feint that Harry invented. It didn't work to say the least. How stupid could Draco be to use a move the other seeker invented against him.
Harry and Draco went to the boy's showers while Ginny and Daphne went to the girl's showers. Once they were finished they ate a quick lunch before going back to their quarters. Ginny was still irritated because her twin brother Ron managed to hit her broom with the quaffle instead of throwing it in her hands. Her mood quickly brightened when she entered their quarters and saw Harry and Draco talking with grins.
"What's got you all so happy?" Daphne asked first.
"You know how I ordered our forces to charge to London?" Harry asked. After receiving three nods he continued."We have captured all of England except for London. We took all the ports and coast line so the enemies in England are all trapped in London."
"I'm so proud of you!" Ginny squealed as she ran forward and hugged Harry and Draco.
"Ireland also managed to take full control of Northern Ireland which was Voldemort's last holding in the British Isles as we took Wales and Birmingham." Draco added with a grin.
"My Lord!" A voice from the fireplace said.
"Alexander, what is the meaning of this?" Harry asked in a dangerous tone.
"The leader of Poland signed a deal to recreate Austria-Hungary. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Poland signed it all together to give up the old territories of Austria-Hungary. They also agreed to give the leadership to Poland because it is being taken by Prussia. Poland became desperate and Germany wasn't helping the situation which caused Poland to invade Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary for land and survival." The man named Alexander said. Alexander had a thick Russian accent and had thick blonde hair.
"We can't do much about that. Keep spying on Voldemort, Alexander." Harry said. Hearing the dismissal in his voice he quickly left.
"Who was he?" Daphne asked. Daphne didn't know everything about Scotland other than the wars and some of the armies.
"He works in the Companaidh Brathaidh which is our Espionage Company." Harry said while silently pondering the new developments.
"I didn't know we had a spy agency." Daphne said in surprise.
"You never asked. So I never answered." Harry said cheekily.
"Fuck you,"
"Love you too," Harry replied with a grin.
London, England
Millions of soldiers were marching into the city of London after the brutal 2 month long siege. After a giant bombing run did the English army finally surrender. Effectively ending the cause of World War 3. 14,000( 30864680 pounds or 15,432.34 customary tons)metric tons of explosives were dropped on the city of London. Even more than the explosives used during the London Blitz. From the start of winter to the start of spring there was a siege of London. The death eaters were pushed out of Cardiff which ended the battle with death eaters. Now, muggle England remained.
Soldiers in English uniforms began to leave houses and buildings and onto the streets. They all began to be rounded up like a bunch of sheep. Eventually they went to the trucks and were sent to a labor camp on the Faroe Islands. Many citizens came out of their houses in support of the Scots that were way better rulers than the English.
Even though Harry was not yet aware of the capture of London he was happy with the siege. The Legion had taken most of The Trident members in Africa. Before London was sieged they had almost all of the old British colonies join the Legion with threats of them becoming colonies again or threats of invasion. Because of that new development Scotland invaded all the coastal African countries that were part of the Legion. The second they fully captured Algeria he annexed it as part of Scotland.
In those two months where Africa was being invaded by Scotland the Legion countries in Africa were pretty much completely taken except for South Africa. Harry knew that he would have to change some things in the country. The first thing that was bugging him was the name Scotland. He really wanted to change it into The Scottish Empire, but to do that he would have to establish colonies in Africa. So that was exactly what he was going to do.
Great Hall,
Harry and his friends walked through the doors of the great hall. As usual there was a wizarding wireless that was modified to be able to project across the school and even into Hogsmeade if there was important news. Harry and his friends sat at the Gryffindor table and began eating. About halfway through dinner the static sound of the wireless beginning to broadcast began playing through the great hall.
"Austria-Hungary has been reformed! Austria and Hungary reunify and annex the Balkans! The Serbian army is still holding on and is fighting ferociously! The specijalne jedinice or Serbia's elite fighters have been given unrestricted sarin gas usage. The Elite soldiers have special armor that repels the sarin, but the Germans don't have an ounce of protection against it. If you don't have a clue as to what sarin is I'll tell you what it is. Sarin Gas is a chemical agent that will kill you in seconds if it touches your skin. This particular gas is produced in large quantities at the Scottish Highlands where the capital of Scotland resides."
When the man finished saying the first piece of news the school gasped at the new knowledge they had. Most of the students didn't even know that Scotland became a country already let alone produce a deadly gas 50 miles away from Hogsmeade.
"For some better news. London has fallen to the new Scottish Empire! That's right Scotland has formed a brand new Empire from its new territories in Africa and from the new unification of the British Isles! Ireland was allowed to keep its independence as long as it supported Scotland. Ireland was also able to reunify the island of Ireland. The king of the Scottish Empire is Harry James Potter who has begun the revolution and has made Scotland into a giant military. All hail King Harry James Potter!"
Cheers erupted in the hall as the wireless turned off. Harry was a bit irritated and shook his head to stop people from yelling all hail Harry James Potter. Harry knew that he would become the King of the empire from the start. He knew that his children would be the kings of Scotland and that the House of Potter was now the royal house of Britain…no…Scotland.
Glasgow Scotland,
Harry was quite overwhelmed at having to run a full country. No wonder why Fudge was so fucked up in the head. Harry thought quietly to himself with a quiet chuckle as he signed a bill that would repair all of war torn Britain. As soon as he signed the last bill it was time to get ready for his speech in London. Harry got up and opened the door to go to his room at Potter Manor.
Once he finished showering and getting dressed did he leave Potter Manor. He opened the gates and apparated to the area where the speech would take place. Harry went to the back of the podium to go over his speech. There would only be security at the entrance. Of course he knew that this would be asking for death eaters to show up and attempt to capture him. That was the exact reason he was going to have 5 Elite Hurricane squadrons hidden in the crowd and behind Harry.
After an hour of waiting, people began to arrive. High ranking members of society sat at the seats next to the podium. The regular citizens stood or sat directly in front of the podium. After thirty minutes every high ranking Scottish official like Amelia Bones, Perla Potter, Sirius Black and Cyrus Greengrass arrived. Harry stood up at exactly 5 pm and walked to the podium. Lights were flashing everywhere and there were cameras recording the speech and being broadcasted across the world.
"On April 3rd 1995 London fell to the Scottish Empire, our Empire that has united the British Isles. We are the second most powerful Nation on earth, a nation that has united three different countries, united an island and is fighting on the nation of England that is an ally of the German Empire has fallen to our hands. This is payback as the German Empire took our allies in France so we took theirs. Today on April 10th 1995 we gathered here to hear my speech, the first speech that the Scottish Empire has hosted in public in London. We are here in the newly built city of London what's the help of all of our Dukes & Lords we have managed to rebuild the city with magic and other means extremely quickly since April 3rd of 1995 where we have captured England."
"I'm glad to have most of the support of our Dukes & Lords on our side in the war against Germany. It is sad the amount of destruction that has happened in this nation but it is a must. you can't win a war without sacrifice there are certain things you can sacrifice so you can get back and some that aren't a thing that we sacrificed is this city we have destroyed it. Yes we have and I regret it. Many people lost their lives in our bombings but the city was in the wrong hands the hands of a person that chose the wrong side which ended their nation. I wish to thank all of our soldiers that have fought in England to retake our Island. I think every single person the forest on the Streets of London to take the capital of the enemy which reunited our Island. Yes we gave up Northern Ireland to Ireland but it was a good deal a good deal because we now have the support of that country in this war. I give my condolences to every person that has lost a member of their family due to the Civil War and due to this war in general that has plagued our world. Is said to think that such violence has happened before and that's happened a few decades ago in the forties and the early 20th century. I thank you for your time and hearing me out in this speech. I wish you a good day."
Harry turned around and walked away as the crowd applauded. Harry nodded to a shadow in an alley which made 4 tall and muscular men appear from the shadow and follow Harry as he apparated to the gate at Potter Manor. When he entered the manor he swiftly walked to the floo that was in the entrance hall with two long strides. He quickly threw floo powder in the fireplace. It erupted in green flames. Harry mumbled a few words and walked into the fireplace. He appeared in his quarters at Hogwarts.
Harry then went down to the great hall to get dinner before coming back up to the flat that he had at Hogwarts. At that time Ginny and Daphne returned from their girl's night with Fleur, Madisson and Angela in Edinburgh. Angela was Krum's girlfriend from France which he kept remembering Harry about because Harry said he would never be able to get a French girl. Draco walked through the door from North Port when he finished training.
"What'd you do in Edinburgh?" Draco asked. This pissed Harry off because the two girls began to talk about their day excitedly. Harry put his watch up to his mouth which was connected to Draco's earrings which would allow him to hear Harry.
"Did you have to ask them that? You know that they'll never shut up now." Harry whispered. Draco gained an amused gleam in his eyes as Harry's message went through. Harry sighed and went to his room to go to bed.
AN: This took a while for me to post it because I'm lazy and I was a bit busy doing other things regarding this chapter and the story in general. I had to do all that math with a calculator which was extremely hard ;). I also started working on a timeline for this so i could know the dates of events in this story. Do you want me to post the timeline after I finish the story or should I post what I have done right now or should I not post it at all. I also want you to know that I'm really inconsistent if you can't tell already. I also don't write my chapters in advance so as I'm posting this I don't have another chapter ready. Finally I am also busy writing for my other story that is up tight now and another story for fun that I may or may not post after I'm finished with this one.
