Craig, Octavio, Ammoses, Louis, and Casiopea were now heading towards their second class. Louis said, "That first class was real boring. All we did was learn about some old dead dude that made a weapon once. How the hell is that gonna help us in the military?" Ammoses snapped, "Hey! Respect the history! Us weapon makers are important too, y'know? If Machine Girl were here, she'd tear you a new one for saying that." Craig shrugged, "I kinda agree with him, to be honest. We really don't need to know about the history of these weapons, we just gotta learn how to kick ass with 'em!"

Ammoses snarled, "I'm surrounded by fools!" As the five continued to walk, Octavio sighed. "I wish I knew how my Dad was doin' right now. In the future, there outta be a portable telephone that you can just, take anywhere. Or at least, a portable telegraph." Craig shook his head, "Eh, I don't really see that happening anytime soon." The five eventually reached their class, which was named "Physical Training". Casiopea exclaimed, "Oh shit, are we gonna finally get off our asses and do somethin'?!"

The five sat down, and about three minutes later, two people walked in. Well, one of them wasn't exactly a "person". The first person who came into the room was a tall inkling female, about 6'4, with long hair where each tentacle was a different color. The second "person" was an incredibly fluffy cat, who's fur was white with grey areas. His eyes were yellow, and his arrow shaped tail stuck out like a sore thumb. The cat jumped onto a table which the inkling woman stood in front of. The two stood up with perfect posture.

The woman began to speak in her monotone voice, "My name is Yoko Kanno. I am your professor, so refer to me as Professor Kanno, or just Kanno. The cat next to me is Judd. He is my friend and assistant. You might know him, as he's been assisting with turf wars for nearly 1,900 years. Yes, I know that's a ridiculous amount of time. Yes, I know that he's a mammal, and those are all supposed to be extinct. It's a long story that neither me or him feel like going over, so just go with it." Just nodded his head, "Meow! (She's right! I've been over it too many times to count.)"

The students in the class were all taken aback by how they were somehow able to understand Judd's meows. Kanno said, "You'll get used to it." Octavio whispered to Craig, "The way she speaks makes me sleepy. She sounds so fuckin' bored." "True." Casiopea stood up raised her hand up high, however, she didn't wait for Kanno to let her speak. "Yo! We gonna do somethin' or nah!? This is called PHYSICAL TRAININ'! FUH FUCKS SAKE, I WANNA DO SOMETHIN' PHYSICAL!" Kanno calmly replied, "It's the first day... why the hell would we do anything on the first day?"

"We spent like a bajillion hours in our last class learning about the history of the snipe 400 majoobily or some shit!" Casiopea responded. "This is a different case... we're not a history class." Casiopea sat back down, disgruntled. Kanno could already see the long year ahead of her, wondering why she became a professor, while Judd just kinda stood there on the table. Kanno passed out a few important sheets of paper, and the rest of the class was spent doing nothing. Ammoses told Casiopea, "Do something like that again and I'll tell Machine Girl!"

"Oh, quit treatin' me like a child! Ya just mad because I'm a truly free spirit! What's Machine Girl gonna do anyway? Is she gon beat me? I'd like to see her try!" Casiopea huffed. Octavio looked at the stack of papers he now had, "Great. We're barely on the first day, too. Fuckin' hell." Craig sighed, "I just hope it doesn't drive me as insane as high school." In unison, Octavio and Craig both said, "But 'ey! It's only a yearrr!" The two high fived. Enough time had eventually passed to the point where it had now become the hour to go the next class. Louis asked, "What's there even left to do? I mean, weapons, physical training, what the hell is left for us to need?"

...

"Finally, Casiopea's away. I can actually focus now." Machine Girl said to herself. On her desk was a massive journal, so thick that she could barely grasp it with her hands. Multiple sections of the journal were marked with bookmarks. These sections were Stomp, Nozzle, Whirl, Maw, and Blight. Right as Machine Girl was going to open the massive book and get to work, she heard a knock coming from the front door. She got up and walked over, making to to not step on any scrap metals which lay on the floor.

Machine Girl opened the door, and was greeted by dark blue haired octoling. "Hello! I'm Alija. You received my letter, right? I believe your friends and sister all know who I am." "Oh. Yeah. I forgot about you. What is it you need?" "Well, I wanted to reward you all for your great service. I rewarded the other five by making it so they only had to attend military academy for a year. But, as I saw, you don't attend a military academy. So I'd like to give you a different reward." Machine Girl raised an eyebrow, now interested.

Alija said, "I was originally going to give you a workspace, but I couldn't find an area to buy out. So instead, I'll give you this!" She pulled out a slip of paper and handed it to Machine Girl. "What- what is this?" she asked. Alija answered, "It's a pass for the nearby junkyard. I believe that you enjoy tinkering around with scrap parts and creating things or whatever, so this should help you with that. You don't have to pay for admission, and you don't have to pay for any parts you take. Show 'em that slip of paper and they'll let you do what you want." For the first time in a while, Machine Girl slightly smiled, "Thank you."
