Chapter 20! Please REVIEW and hope you all enjoy!

"Do you have any protein bars on you? I'm starving." Sarah whispered to Kai, who was sitting next to her. Kai looked at her weirdly, his legs and feet on top of the desk in front of him.

"What? Why the hell would I have protein bars on me?" Kai whispered to her in response. Sarah frowned at this, crossing her arms.

"Sarah and Kai. Stop flirting with each other and pay attention." Cynthia stated loudly, calling out the duo in front of the whole group. The group sat in one of the film rooms, along with some other Project Giratina members, sitting in the row behind the group. They were all watching a video on defusing different types of bombs. In the first row was Sarah, Kai, Silas, May, Harley, and Seiya, all sitting in that order. Of course, Cynthia stood at the front, lecturing the group.

"Wait a minute! I wasn't even flirting with her. She asked me for a damn-" Kai was interrupted by Harley.

"Sure you guys weren't. Cause you guys also never flirt with each other." Harley said sarcastically, with a serious look on his face. Sarah sat up and looked at the young man, her face revealing how annoyed she was at Harley. The guy had barely spent time with them. For Arceus's sake, he had known them for two weeks. She was about to respond but Kai beat her to it.

"Listen up Barbie, no one asked for your opinion." Kai responded quickly, also annoyed at his comment. However, it was Seiya who jumped to Harley's defense.

"Don't insult him, Kai! You don't have to start calling people names just cause you don't like what they said." Seiya stated, fixing his glasses as he finished, glaring at the aura user. May raised an eyebrow at Seiya's defense, having thought that he would back up Kai.

"Ok everybody, lets just settle down. I think we are all just blowing this out of proportion." May advised, hoping the argument would die. Unfortunately, Kai would never let that happen.

"No, I don't think so May. I think if Harry has anything to say to me then he should do it while he has the balls to." Kai remarked to Harley while addressing him by the wrong name, now sitting up and leaning towards Harley.

"I'll always let you know what problems I have with you, kid. Let me start off by saying: I have a lot of problems with you." Harley said affirmatively, pointing at Kai.

Firstly, you are immature and brash. I've seen the things you've done. You rush into harm's way with your head down, ready to fight. You never think. You just act. It's going to get you killed one day. The only reason you haven't been killed yet is because you possess the ability to use aura. Without it, you would be completely neutralized by Chaos. That is the one of the two reasons you are here. Simply put, your aura is deemed as valuable by Cynthia and the organization. The second is just because you are a strong trainer. Secondly, you think everything is a game. Chaos doesn't play around. They will kill us without any hesitation if we do anything such as a minor slip up. If you grew up, you would take this more seriously. Yet, you show no care for this at all. Even though all our lives are at stake. Finally, I don't trust you. Not..One..Bit.. I don't trust you on the field and I don't trust you now. I don't trust you to be able to help me if I'm in danger, due to how "trigger happy" and spontaneous your actions are. Your actions are going to kill you or someone else one day." Harley finished, glaring at Kai.

After hearing Harley's offensive words, Kai got up from his chair, walking towards Harley aggressively. Seeing Kai begin to approach him, he was unsure if Kai was going to throw a punch at him once he got close. The others were unsure too, leading Sarah, May, and Seiya to get up from their chairs. The trio got in front of Kai, standing between Kai and Harley, both of them glaring daggers at each other.

Silas, who was still sitting down, was replaying Harley's words. Something was definitely off about Harley. Those words were way too personal and filled with resentment, anger, to be just words. There was a motive behind it. Silas refused to believe there wasn't.

"Get up here and say it to my face, bitch. We could settle this right here if you want, Harry." Kai said aggressively, being held back by Sarah and May now.

"Kai, calm down! Just sit down, why are you trying to fight him?" Seiya asked disbelievingly, not knowing how this fight erupted out of nowhere.

"Are you kidding me? Harley is to blame just as much as Kai is!" Sarah remarked loudly.

Silas remained sitting down calmly, still pondering over Harley. "That speech by Harley was personal." Silas thought to himself. It just had to be. The group continued to argue with each other intensely. Words were exchanged, fingers were pointed, and birds were flipped depending on who you looked at (I wonder who you think did…).

"THAT IS ENOUGH!" The Sinnoh Champion screamed towards the group. Immediately, everyone shut up. It seemed like during the fight, she had completely disappeared. Yet, she made sure everyone knew she was right there, with a wake up call. Cynthia scowled at the group, not believing how immature they were at that moment. Especially Kai.

"Words cannot begin to describe how appalled I am. This is absolutely inexcusable. The only reason I let it play out was because I wanted to see what you had to say about each other. Also, I actually had faith that you would be able to resolve it like the adults you are. However, it is clear how mistaken and misguided my prediction was. All of you acted like children just now, with the exception of Silas. I expect MUCH more from you all. Kai and Harley. Whatever that was, you two will sort it out. Now. Both of you will battle each other in the training field. Five minutes." Cynthia finished, pointing towards the group exit. The group looked confused at this, with the exceptions of Kai and Harley. The two would solve their issues with a battle? What was the intention behind that?

However, Kai definitely didn't mind having to battle this chump. Kai smirked at Harley confidently, before laughing at him as he left the room. Harley's face remained neutral, pushing his bangs out of the way of his eyes before following the group. In Harley's head, though, he was celebrating wildly. Harley knew he wouldn't win the battle. Hell, he probably wouldn't get close. Little did Kai know, Harley was just obtaining intel from the battle. Cynthia somehow blessed him with a golden opportunity. He was going to witness just how Kai battled. His strategies. His Pokemon. His battle approach. Best part yet, Harley got a first class ticket to watch this. Kai would win the battle. He would win the war.

Soon, the group made it to the battle field. Kai and Harley prepared themselves inside their respective trainer's boxes. The group had to wait a minute for the referee to arrive. Once the group was situated in the spectators box, the trainer's were ready, and the referee arrived, everything was good to go. Cynthia stood next to the referee, keen on watching the two of them battle. She knew that Harley was a great trainer. Yet, she also knew Kai was a prodigy. She wanted to get a closer look at Kai's skill in battling. She hadn't seen much of it since he arrived into HQ the first time.

"Our both trainer's ready to battle?" The referee questioned Harley and Kai. The two of them nodded, grabbing their first pokeball.

"Begin!"

Kai and Harley threw their Pokeballs at the same time, the white light from the pokeballs blinding them temporarily. Out of Harley's pokeball emerged Porygon( Porygon2 to be exact). Facing Porygon was Kai's Flygon, who took into the air immediately while screeching at its opponent. Harley's face remained composed and neural, while Kai crossed his arms confidently.

"Porygon, use Ice Beam!"

Porygon fired a streak of ice towards Flygon. Before it got too close, Kai issued a command.

"Just dodge it."

Flygon weaved out of the way of the Ice Beam expertly, not letting it come close to hitting the dragon type. Remaining composed, Harley ordered another attack.

"Use Psybeam continuously. Keep trying to hit it."

"Fly around it."

Flygon circled around Porygon, still continuing to dodge it's attacks. Psybeams flew through the air, some even managing to come very close to hitting Porygon. Harley was confused, seeing that Kai was not motivated to attack whatsoever. "What's his game plan right now?" Harley thought to himself. Meanwhile, Kai was watching Flygon, waiting for an opening in Porygon's attacks. Seeing one, Kai issued his first attack.

"Flygon, Super Sonic!"

"Get out of there Porygon!" Harley screamed, realizing the Pokemon was in danger. It was too late. Porygon was struck with the blast, now leaning side to side in confusion.

Sarah and May cheered for Kai, while Seiya and Silas remained neutral, not picking a side.

"Flygon, Dragon Rush!" Kai commanded, knowing Porygon was confused.

"Ice Beam!"

Flygon flew rapidly towards Porygon, lowering its head as its body was outlined in a purplish glow due to the Dragon Rush. While Porygon was commanded to use Ice Beam, it couldn't attack due to the confusion it experienced. Porygon was hit hard by brutally, sending it flying into the air. Porygon hit the wall hard, knocked out in one shot.

"Porygon is unable to battle. Send out your next Pokemon!"

Even Cynthia was impressed by how quick the first matchup went. While Harley's Pokemon lost, Harley smiled widely at the defeat. He already got such great intel on how Kai battled. This would be an extremely productive battle for Chaos's benefit. Seeing Harley smile, it only served to piss off Kai more. Kai was extremely confused, not knowing why the older man was grinning sadistically. He had just lost a Pokemon.

"Harry! You just lost your first Pokemon! In case you didn't know, you have to send out another to continue!" Kai yelled sarcastically, with Harley shaking his head, his face now serious.

Harley threw his next Pokeball. When the light cleared, an Aurorus was revealed. The group was impressed that Harley had such a rare and beautiful Pokemon. Even Kai was impressed. Kai returned Flygon, wanting to give all six of his Pokemon a chance to battle. Kai then sent out his Charizard, who roared loudly as soon as he landed onto the field. The group and Harley's mouth opened in amazement, seeing the black scaled Charizard. No one besides Kai had seen the shiny Charizard before. This battle already contained two of the most spectacular Pokemon the group had ever witnessed.

It was Kai who yelled his command first.

"Charizard, use Flamethrower."

"Protect!"

The blast of flames headed straight towards Aurorus. Aurorus created a clear wall using protect. The flamethrowers stopped there, dissipating after a few seconds.

"Aurorus, use Ancient Power"

"Dodge them while flying and use Flare Blitz"

Charizard was able to dodge its attacks masterfully, getting in close slowly. However, Harley had a plan for this. Just as Charizard was about to to connect with Flare Blitz, he issued another attack.

"Hyper Beam!"

"Fuck…" Kai muttered, knowing there was no way Charizard could do anything about it. Charizard was able to hit Aurorus just as he sent out the Hyper Beam. The Hyper Beam connected point black, creating an explosion. After the smoke cleared, Aurorus was standing, although it was hurt due to the effective fire type attack. Charizard was also standing, but it's wings and body were littered in bruises due to the attack. Not letting it slow him down, Charizard roared loudly once again.

"Wow, that is one strong Charizard." May said out loud.

"For sure. Great move by Harley though." Seiya commented, praising the trainer.

While Hyper Beam required a recharge, time had already passed due to both Pokemon taking a few seconds to get up.

"Aurorus, use Mist."

Aurorus obeyed, created clouds of mist around the field. Kai ordered his Charizard to remain calm, with the Pokemon nodding in response.

"Bulldoze!" Harley ordered his Pokemon.

Charizard and Kai were unable to see the Pokemon until the last few seconds. Seeing him, Kai issued another order.

"Stop him." Kai said simply. The group appeared confused at this, until they witnessed what occurred.

Right when Aurorus was about to connect with the ground-type move, Charizard stopped him in his tracks with both hands. Charizard slid back a few feet before his feet settling into the ground, snarling at the Pokemon. Harley was shocked at Charizard's strength, not knowing what to do.

"Quickly, use Ice Beam!" Harley stated, seeing how Charizard wouldn't be able to dodge.

"Overpower it. Blast Burn." Kai stated.

The two fired their attacks at close range, with Kai's easily overpowering the ice type move. Due to being super effective and in close proximity,

Aurorus fainted immediately, laying on the floor. "Aurorus is unable to battle. Send out your next Pokemon!" The referee ordered once again.

Seeing this, both Kai and Harley recalled their Pokemon. Kai thanked his Charizard, impressed at his performance. The group talked amongst themselves, also impressed at both trainers and their Pokemon. It was Kai who sent out his Pokemon first. Floatzel appeared, grinning confidently. Seeing Kai's choice, Harley sent out his next Pokemon, a Manectric.

"Manectric, use Thunderbolt!"

"Agility to get away." Kai replied calmly.

Manectric fired off several Thunderbolts, with Floatzel dodging easily due to its increased speed. After a few seconds, Floatzel attacked.

"Hydro Pump!"

The blast of water headed towards the electric dog. Not having a move to stop the water, Harley ordered the Pokemon to dodge it to the side. However, Kai predicted this.

"Ice Fang when he moves to the side!"

Manectric dodged the Hydropump, jumping to the left of it. After he landed, however, Floatzel bit the Pokemon fiercely using Ice Fang. Manectric cried in pain, attempting to free himself. Floatzel wouldn't let go of the Pokemon, hurting it over time.

"Manectric, Thunderbolt while he's biting you!"

"Throw him in the air." Kai stated.

The Thunderbolt landed on Floatzel for about half a second, damaging the water type slightly. However, Manectric was now airborne and dazed, not knowing where it was. Defenseless, Kai called out another attack.

"Hydro Pump while it's in the air!" Kai ordered loudly.

Obeying, Floatzel once again sent out a strong current of water. It hit the electric dog, pushing it into the wall. It hit the wall harshly, before sliding down unconscious.

"Manectric is unable to battle. Send out your next Pokemon."

While Aurorus was able to land a great hit on Charizard and do some damage, this battle was lopsided just like the first. Clearly, Kai was dominating the battle.

The two returned their Pokemon, sending out their new ones at the same time. The light cleared, revealing a Tyranitar and an Absol facing off. It was Harley who ordered the first attack.

"Absol use Night Slash!"

"Tyranitar use-" Tyranitar was interrupted as Absol landed the hit on the Pokemon, Tyranitar crying in pain. The whole audience and Kai were shocked at how fast Absol was. The Pokemon moved and attacked Tyranitar before Kai could even call a move. This Pokemon was a threat. Even Kai knew it.

"Tyranitar, use Stone Edge" Kai ordered.

The Pokemon fired the flurry of rocks at Absol. Seeing this, Harley responded.

"Double team."

Several copies of Absol took place on the field. The Stone Edge hit a copy, missing the real Absol. Tyranitar now faced about eight copies of Absol, with the real one there somehow. Not panicking, Kai smirked as he called his next attack.

"Earthquake, quickly!"

"Shit!" Harley thought, knowing that specific attack would occur across the whole battlefield. The battlefield shook, hitting all the copies and the real Absol, who cried in pain.

"Tyranitar, use Ice Fang while he's down!"

Tyranitar ran towards Absol, his mouth opened wide with his fangs now encased in Ice. Kai's Pokemon was just a few feet away before Absol got up onto his feet.

"Absol, use sucker punch!" Harley commanded.

Harley's Absol barely avoided the Ice Fang due to its speed, before hitting Tyranitar in the chest hard. While the attack did damage, it would also hurt Absol due to Kai's next attack.

"Use Brick Break!"

Tyranitar's hand glowed white as he slashed down on Absol, who was still too close to him. While Absol was extremely fast, he couldn't outrun Brick Break. Since the attack was super effective, it did major damage on Absol. He was sent into the ground, rocks flying upwards due to the hit. Absol had fainted upon collision, it's eyes swirling.

"Absol is unable to battle. Please send out your next Pokemon."

Harley had done better with this matchup, doing very good damage on Tyranitar. It was clear though that the battle was one sided, Tyranitar being too strong for Harley to manage. Harley only had two more Pokemon left, while Kai had all six. The two returned their Pokemon, Kai sending out his next Pokemon first. Raichu emerged, small shocks of electricity crackling from its cheeks. Harley sent out his next Pokemon, a Flareon, landing onto the field. The fight began, Kai ordering the first move.

"Raichu, use Thunder!"

"Dodge and then use Lava Plume"

Raichu sent out a large streak of Thunder. It narrowly missed Flareon due to the Pokemon moving out of the way impressively. The Flareon then sent out a blast of flames towards Raichu.

"Use Iron Tail to deflect the fire." Kai stated

Raichu's tail turned gray due to the Iron Tail, before it deflected the fire into the ground. The group was impressed with the strategy. Silas sat on the bench, writing down that strategy for future use.

"Flareon, use Flame Giga Impact!" Harley ordered, frustrated at how the battle was going. Flareon obeyed, rushing towards Raichu while it picked up speed quickly. Kai smirked, knowing how this would play out.

"Double Team."

Raichu split into several copies. Flareon charged into one of the copies, pushing straight through it. Not having any time to stop or slow down, Flareon crashed into the wall harshly. Flareon took a lot of damage from that. On top of that, it now had to recharge and was completely paralyzed for a few seconds.

"Raichu, Thunder Wave!"

Raichu sent out a wave of electricity, now permanently paralyzing the Pokemon. Harley cursed, knowing that the situation got much worse. With the Pokemon paralyzed, it would have trouble moving. It would be lucky if he was able to without a hitch.

"Now, use Iron Tail!" Kai ordered.

"Flareon, Flamethrower!"

Raichu jumped into the air, his tail now gray and ready to strike the Pokemon. Luckily for Harley, Flareon was able to fire the flamethrower without a problem. Unfortunately for him, it didn't do much to stop Raichu. Raichu was hurt but continued downwards, striking Flareon hard with its tail. Flareon sunk into the ground by about a foot, not getting back up. While no one could see Flareon well, they knew he had fainted and was unable to battle.

"Flareon is unable to battle. Please send out your final Pokemon!"

Kai was about to recall his Raichu before it growled at him playfully, not wanting to stop battling.

"Alright buddy, if you insist." Kai said, laughing at the Pokémon's antics.

"Well, it looks like Harley is down to his last Pokemon. Wonder who it is…" Silas stated, curious as to who it would be.

Harley grabbed his last pokeball, before throwing it into the air. Togekiss emerged from Pokeball, ready to battle.

"You're not gonna defeat my Togekiss so easily, Kai. She's my starter Pokemon and my strongest." Harley said seriously, looking at Kai. Kai shrugged at Harley, not really caring what he had to say.

"Whatever you say Harry." Kai replied, before ordering his Raichu to use Thunderbolt.

Raichu obeyed, firing off a Thunderbolt towards Togekiss.

"Use Extreme Speed to dodge, then into Air Slash!"

Togekiss dodged using it's increased speed, before shooting off towards Raichu. Kai barely had time to scream for his Pokemon to dodge. However, Raichu was hit by the Air Slash, sending it rolling a few feet back. Raichu struggled to get back up. Seeing the Pokemon struggle, Harley continued.

"Use Shadow Ball continuously!"

"Dodge them Raichu!"

Shadow Balls flew around the field, with Raichu barely dodging them. Knowing Raichu couldn't sustain this, Kai called out another command.

"Use Iron Tail to launch them into Togekiss!"

"Dodge them!"

Raichu lifted his tail, now hitting six shadow balls coming towards him still. The first four missed Togekiss. However, Raichu was able to hit Togekiss with the fifth Shadow Ball. Due to being so focused on that Shadow Ball, however, Raichu was blasted by the last Shadow Ball, stunning the Pokemon. Seeing his chance to end it, Harley took it.

"Extreme Speed into him!"

Togekiss flew at an insane velocity, smacking into Raichu. Raichu hit the wall, leaning forward and dropping into the floor. Raichu was unable to battle.

"Raichu is unable to battle. Please send out your next Pokemon!"

Kai thanked Raichu for his performance, before returning him. The group was stunned that Kai lost a Pokemon before shaking it off. It was normal. The trainers weren't invincible. It was inevitable they would see him lose a Pokemon one day. Besides, Harley definitely wasn't a pushover. Kai's face grew serious, upset he had lost a Pokemon. That Togekiss was definitely not a pushover. "Well, I think you're going to struggle to beat this one." Kai thought to himself, looking at Lucario's pokeball.
