The next morning, on Wednesday, May 5, at a holding area at the police station, Oliver and Slickwell were held in a small cell, with Basil locked in a cage outside. The Mystic Isles Protectors, led by Orion and Vega, showed up there after they heard what had happened, and they were angry. But the angriest was the one protector who paroled them and basil...

Sofia: (outraged) I can't believe what you two just did!

Slickwell: Please, your majesty, hear us out!

Sofia: I paroled you guys, because after you undergone rehabilitation, I believed that you knew what you did wrong, and decided to change your ways. It appears that I've been mistaken in this case!

Oliver: But milady, we didn't kill Meteora!

Sofia: (sarcastically) Oh, sure, guys. And I haven't forgot what the trouble you've caused, like trying to rob an old lady's mansion?!

Cop: (comes in) Miss Sofia?

Sofia: (cheerfully) Oh, yes?

Cop: I can't believe I'm going to side with those two, but one of their neighbors didn't think they were responsible for the murder.

Sofia: Really? Who was it?

Cop: From what I remember, it was one of their neighbors, Brittney Wong who had doubts.

Slickwell: Wait, so you believe we're innocent?

Cop: I didn't say that. I'm saying, however, that last night, Brittney and her roommate, Jackie Lynn Thomas, found some clues in their yard. I will need to question you guys on more stuff. We've also sent one of our experienced cops to help the two women solve this case.

Sofia: Sir, could you get me in contact with Jackie and Brittney? I'm also now wondering if these two have been framed.

The cop nodded. Meanwhile, on Bellemeade Street, a police car was pulling in the driveway of the two-story house. The officer who came over had brown hair and brown eyes. He knocked on the door of the lower house, with Jackie answering it...

Jackie: Hello? Are you the cop that's come here to help us?

Officer: That's correct. I'm John Stuffins.

When John came in the house, Jackie and Brittney introduced themselves to him. Then the two women showed the officer the gloves and mall receipts they found outside their yard last night...

John: Wow, I wonder if Oliver or Slickwell had the time to go shopping?

Jackie: Honestly, I don't know.

Brittney: And actually, I wonder why they leave receipts in their own yard like that, instead of throwing them away?

John: What I do understand, is that they're receipts from the South Shore Mall that are apparently littered in the backyard. Also, many of the things on those receipts are what was taken from there!

Jackie: Are you saying... Oliver and Slickwell we're involved in robbing those malls?!

John: I'm not sure for certain. Another issue is the white gloves and gun.

Brittney: Why would someone leave a gun right outside their doorstep, then toss the white in their own yard? It's almost like you're asking to get caught!

Jackie: So, what do we do?

John: I think we need to visit one of those malls that was robbed recently and get some answers. Let's go!

John, Jackie, and Brittney got in the police car, and John drove it off the block, and into Smithtown...
