The Don Appears

The atmosphere on the ship was tense. It was so thick that it can be cut by a knife. Everyone sat inside the kitchen waiting patiently for Nami who said that she had to say of utmost importance that she needs to tell everyone.

Zoro was now leaning against the wall of the kitchen while sharpening his katana, Usopp was sitting in the room sweating nervously hoping that whatever Nami was going to talk with them about wasn't going to be life-threatening, Johnny and Yosaku sat together with their arms crossed on their chests both of them wondering where one of their wanted posters went missing, Robin was sitting reading a book as she still tried to understand what is the connection between Nami and the Arlong pirates, and finally, Luffy was sleeping in Robin's lap while she played with his hair.

Usopp then spoke, "Hey guys, why do you think Nami told us to meet her on the ship?" he paused for a moment as he added, "And why is it so important that she can't tell us in the restaurant?"

The boy truly hoped it isn't something too dangerous; the fight with Kuro really shook him to the core. Sure, he fought them head-on and still won, but he didn't need more life-threatening adventures even though this comes with the manual of being a pirate.

Zoro looked at him with a glance before returning to his swords, and answered, "Wait, and you'll find out." Then he added, "And where is she by the way? She dragged us to the ship to tell us something, and then she goes and disappears."

Robin looked at him, "I think she preparing something first to tell us whatever she is planning to, so the best thing to do right now is to wait patiently. Plus, she said that she had to bring something first, and she wasn't gone for that long so I guess we can let it pass."

The black-haired woman then returned to her thoughts about Nami; is she trying to get Arlong's bounty? No, that's ridiculous; as much as Nami is resourceful she can't defeat a Fishman alone. Is she perhaps a member of the Arlong pirate? No, she made it clear that she hates pirates, whoever they are, and that this entire thing between them is just a temporary truce. Is she being used by them? That made much more sense; maybe they are holding someone she cares about hostage, and she is forced to work with them. This also could explain why she seems to be greedy; she must be trying to earn enough money to pay a ransom.

Luffy then said from where he was sleeping, "Whatever she has to tell us, it doesn't matter; she is Nakama, so we will help her out if it's necessary."

The boy truly didn't care what Nami had to say; on some level that is. He thought that if she was in trouble, he was going to help her one way or another, and he couldn't care any less about the fine details.

"Well, that's nice and all, but what if she was leading us to a trap of some sort?" Usopp asked fearful for everyone's life, and his in the first place.

"I highly doubt that, Usopp." Robin said while flipping another page in the book she was reading which caused the boy to ask her, "And how can you be so sure of it?"

Robin then said, "I've long learned how to read facial expressions from my mom," the girl explained as she remembered when her mother told her that facial expressions can sometimes be the key between life or death; so naturally during her training to understand the ponoglyphs further her mother trained her in various other things such as facial face reading, body movements, and much more. And to that she was eternally grateful, she then continued saying, "The moment Nami said that there is something important that she needs to tell us, her entire body tensed up and her face although calm her eyes were tired, sad, and had an earnest look in them which indicate that whatever she is going to tell us it's real."

Usopp then sighed as he held his hand to his chest, "Well, as long as you say so."

Zoro then said, "Usopp, man up. If the captain says we're going to help her, and she leads us into a trap then we walk into the trap, kick some people's butts, and go home."

This caused Usopp to stare at him blankly before the boy yelled, "You know, we all can't be monsters all you and Luffy, right?"

"You don't need to be a monster. Just train a little, and you'll do just fine." Zoro said as if that was the most obvious thing in the world causing Usopp to facepalm at him, as he yelled, "We all can't train like you."

"Training is training," Zoro said calmly further angering the long-nosed boy.

As the two were about to continue their argument, the door opened revealing Nami who was looking kinda down with a very sad expression on her face. She calmly walked to the table, she then grabbed something from her pocket and slammed it into the table shocking everyone around her, though it did help prove Robin's theory.

The orange-haired girl then sighed heavily as she sat at the table. She then looked at the people and said, "I'm sorry for the sudden outburst, but I needed to get this out of my system, or else I was going to explode out of anger."

Everyone looked at each other and shrugged as Johnny said, "No problem Big sis Nami, I mean everyone needs to cool off every once in a while."

The girl smiled at him, but then Zoro said, "So are you going to tell us why you brought us here, or are we going to stare at each other?"

Nami looked at him as she sighed again; this time she said, "So there's no running away from this now, is there?" She herself at this point didn't know why she was telling them this, but the way the others acted around her made her feel welcomed. The way Robin told her how the rubber boy saved her home island gave her hope. And today, when they gave a complete stranger food for free without asking for anything in return moved her. When was the last time she actually felt such kindness? When was the last time she was treated like a human? Maybe, this is the reason that she's going to tell them about her eternal nightmare.

"Come, and look at the paper." The girl said as she moved said a piece of paper forward for everyone to see, but this caused both Johnny and Yosaku to jump back in fear, as they said, "Don't tell me that you're going after him. You'll probably die."

Nami shook her head gently as she said, "While there is some truth to the fact that I'm trying to kill him, that's not the complete story. There's an entirely different matter."

Usopp's eyes then widened, and said, "If she's not trying to kill him, then she's with him, and she trying to kill us. She wants to drag us to this monster for him to feast on our souls." Usopp said as he pointed his finger to the poster which showed a strong fish-like humanoid with a long serrated nose like a saw shark wearing a fluffy hat and a flower-patterned dress.

Luffy then smacked Usopp on the head saying, "She's Nakama. She won't betray us."

This caused Nami to laugh a little drawing everyone's attention as she said, "Nakama? Right." The girl then slumped forward as she said, "Luffy, do you remember the first we met when I told you that I hated pirates and that I despised them with every inch of my soul?"

The boy nodded his head remembering the girl's words.

Nami then looked at him dead in the eyes as she said, "That day you changed my view of the world when you fought for people you barely knew. You, a pirate of all people fought for their safety…" she remembered Luffy's fight with Buggy the clown and then added, "Then came up the whole thing with Usopp's village, even though you had no gain from protecting Kaya and her village, you still did it anyway." She then looked him straight in the eye and said, "Tell me, why did you do all of this even though you are a pirate?"

The boy looked at her and said, "Because that buggy guy hurt the dog's treasure so I had to fight for him, and Usopp's my friend so I had to fight for Nakama."

The girl stared at him, and said, "What if I told you that I was never you're Nakama? That I was only using to get something that I desire. That I was planning on stealing this ship when you were all at the restaurant."

Luffy looked at her and smiled, "I wouldn't worry about that, because I can tell from your face that you don't mean it." The boy then began laughing with his signature laugh, "Shishishi…"

Nami then slapped her hands on the table, "How can you simply trust me like? I'm someone who stole from people. I'm someone who threw many people to take my fall that may have led to their death so how are you simply trusting me?"

"That's because we're Nakama. I trust you." Luffy said with a smile.

"But I'm someone who could be trusted. I'm nothing, but a cheat…" the girl then sat and began crying so Robin hugged her saying, "Tell us Nami, what's going on? Tell us, so we can help you like we helped the others."

The girl through her tears began to remove her shirt causing some of the guys to gain a blush as Zoro yelled, "Woman, have some decency."

When she was finished, Johnny and Yosaku yelled, "You're one of them?"

This confused the other guys, so they looked at Nami and were shocked by what they saw on her shoulder. It was a blue tattoo that had a head of a saw shark head, this caused Usopp to yell, "You're one of the Arlong's pirates?"

Zoro was about to go to his swords, but saw Luffy was calm through this so he simply laid back, and said, "I presume there's a story as to why you joined them in the first place, and of course, it wasn't out of charity."

"No, you can say I joined them for some kind of charity," Nami said as tears were still falling shocking Zoro.

Nami then wiped her tears as she said, "I think it's best that explain for you why I joined them in the first time…" the girl then went on telling them how her original country was ripped apart in a huge war, how a marine by a name Bellemere adopted her and another young girl named Nokiji, how she took them to her hometown 'The Comoni Islands', how she grew up with her, how she struggled feeding them but always treated them like her own children, how she had skill for drawing maps, how she wanted to draw a map of the world, how her skills impressed Bellmere and she believed in her dreams, how one day she had a fight with her, how all hell broke loose on the same day when the Arlong pirates, how they demanded money to allow people to live, how the villagers tried to hide both her and her sister to avoid detection from Arlong due to their bad money situation, how they managed to find their house, how Arlong defeated Bellemere when she tried to fight him, how they cried out for her drawing attention to themselves, how Bellemere traded her life for them, how she tried to kill Arlong the first time only for him to take notice of her drawing skills and make a deal with her that if she managed to get 100 million berries he will let her village go, and finally how she began to risk her life to gather the money, "…and we finally reached this point where I'm with you."

Nami looked around to see Johnny, Yosaku, and Usopp in tears. Robin felt her heart break into pieces when she heard the girl's story; the only thought that hit her was how can she survived through all of that.

Luffy was the only one calm. He looked at Nami and walked to her.

The girl looked at him half-expecting him to kick her out of the ship, not that she can blame him; she was playing with him all this time. But that never happened, he simply hugged her as he said, "Don't worry Nami, I'll help you."

The girl then began to cry and said, "Thank you Luffy."

The boy then came out of the hug, and told her, "Once, we're done here. I promise I'll go and kick his butt for you." Luffy was externally calm, but on the inside he was angry. No one dared to make his Nakama cry and can get away with it. He couldn't wait till he face off with that Arlong guy and give him a piece of his mind for hurting his navigator.

The girl's eyes shoot wide open. She came to terms that she needed help, but she didn't want that kind of help yet. Although she believed in Luffy's strength, she didn't want him and the others to die so she quickly said, "No, wait. That's not the type of help I want."

Everyone looked at her in confusion if she didn't want them to fight, then what did she want them to do in the first place.

The girl blushed a little as she said, "Please, I don't want violence, since the lives of the villagers I lived with are on the line, so can you possibly I don't know lend me some of your money Luffy so I can finish the payment."

The rubber boy rubbed his forehead; he didn't have a problem giving Nami the rest of the money, but… he looked at Nami, and said, "Nami, I can help with the money, but are you sure he's going to honor his deal?" the boy scratched his head as he then added, "I mean pirates aren't known for honoring their deals."

Unlike what everyone thought, Luffy did know that most pirates cheat, steal, kill, and destroy any village they come to. When Shanks came to his village, he told him that not all pirates are him. He told that some pirates are only interested in ruining people's lives just for the fun of it.

The girl looked at him unsure of what to say. She knew he was right, but she didn't want harm to come to her village or her friends for the first time since becoming a pirate thief. so she said with a bright expression, "100%, he is committed to our agreement since we made it, and hadn't done anything to prove otherwise."

The boy then let out a sigh as he said, "Okay,"

Nami then began to smile brightly, but Zoro then said, "Okay, but this doesn't solve another problem of ours." The girl looked at him in confusion as to what problem remains after this. Once she finishes paying Arlong, she is free to do whatever she wants, so in essence, there should be no problem.

"What happens if he didn't honor his deal?" Zoro spoke with absolute certainty in his voice, "I mean we can't cross that from our calculations. He always can play chicken, and increase the terms or just make the money disappear altogether." He wasn't to throw this out of the window just because Nami said he is trustworthy. Pirates are scum, and that's a fact. Luffy is an exception from that rule since he's already as weird as hell.

The girl looked down, as she also always thought about what will happen if he betrayed their deal. It would practically ruin her life to no end. All of her hard work will be practically thrown down the drain with no one to console her, so she shook her head as she looked at the wayward swordsman saying, "There's no way he will. And let's leave that for another time."

Zoro nodded his head, as he opened a memo inside it that said to prepare to fight Fishman later on.

Nami then looked at Luffy and said, "So Luffy, will you give me enough money to finish the rest of the payment." She looked at him with hope in her eyes that the torture would finally stop; that all her pain and hard work would pay off.

The boy sighed as he said, "How much do you want, Nami?"

The girl's expression brightened even further as she said, "You're the best, Luffy." She then proceeded to yank from her pocket a large piece of paper that had many calculations on it, as she began explaining, "Well you see on my last trip, I reduced the total down to 50 million berries, and now I have about 20 million of them, so I need about 30 million berries." She then made the paper disappear as it appeared saying, "So will you help?"

The boy looked at Robin who nodded, so he said, "Alright, the money's in my room. Feel free to take it." The girl then stood up to go, but Luffy grabbed her arm and said, "We're here for you Nami. Just say the word and he'll be gone for good."

The girl then said, "Thanks, Luffy."

When the girl left the room, Luffy said, "Alright guys, prepare to fight fishmen after we bring our cook." And with that groans from Usopp emerged due to his fear of fighting Fishmen.

After that was finished, Luffy decided with the crew against Nami's best wishes to stay at the floating restaurant for a couple more days, so he can try and convince Sanji to join his crew, but the man was as hard as nails, and Nami said that they were on a tight schedule and that if she misses her date of return Arlong will probably off her village.

Luffy was right now wrapped around Sanji's leg, as he begged and cried, "Please just hear me out."

The man then sighed as he looked down at the boy and said, "What now? Don't you get it? I don't want to join your damn crew. I'm flattered that you want me to join the crew, but I won't leave this place until that old moron acknowledges my skills."

A voice from the kitchen then emanated for everyone to hear as Zeff said, "And that's something that's not going to happen even if you grew wings little eggplant. Go with the boy, and stop ruining my restaurant's food with your horrible cooking."

Sanji then yelled back, "You'll acknowledge me, even if I had to beat it from you."

Luffy then gained an idea, "Well if you join my crew, we have Nami on it."

The redhead then threw a mug at Luffy screaming, "I'm not some advertisement you know."

The rubber boy pouted as he rubbed the assaulted area, and then looked at Sanji who had hearts in his eyes as he said, "Nami-swan, I am your enteral servant of love, and I will serve you faithfully…" the man then regained his posture as he said, "No, even with such beauty on board, I can't leave this place. I'm sorry."

Luffy then returned really bummed out to his seat, as he began to eat his meat. He then felt Robin put her hand on his shoulder as she said, "Let me try with him."

The boy honestly didn't like the idea of Robin talking with Sanji, since he always flirted with her, but he had no other choice. So he nodded his head, and with that, the girl stood up and went up to the cook.

The moment the man saw her; his eyes turned in heart, and he said, "Robin-chawn, I'm your…" he then adjusted himself as he said, "I perceive you came to talk with me."

The girl smiled as she said, "Perceptive, but no I want to ask you a question."

The man blinked but nodded his head telling her to ask, so she said, "Sanji, what is the real reason you don't want to leave the place. I mean there has to be more than Zeff acknowledging you."

The man then took out a cigarette and said lighting it, "Well, you see I owe everything to the old man in there, so I can't just up and leave this place."

Robin understood from where he was coming. Whatever was the story between Sanji and Zeff, it made the former feel indebted to the latter. This means that Sanji thinks he's doing Zeff good by being here, and not living his life.

"Sanji, I can't claim I understand what happened between you and Zeff, but have you ever looked at it from Zeff's perspective."

The blond-haired man looked at her in confusion as she began to explain further, "I mean he did what did for you to live, but what are doing now isn't living. He only insults your cooking, so you can go out to the world, and see it for yourself." She then remembered Luffy's story with Shanks, and decided to tell it to him, "My boyfriend Luffy was once rescued by someone, and that person lost his arm, but when the time came for him to go that person told him to live his dreams, and that's what Zeff precisely wants from you."

Sanji looked at her captivated by her words. They all rang true in his head, but deep down he still couldn't leave this place. Zeff was like a father to him. he sacrificed everything he have for him, so he can't just leave him alone, and just disappear on a moonless night. On the other hand, what Robin said was also true, the old geezer didn't want him to stay here and rot till he's nothing but an old man.

He was lost in his thoughts trying to think of a way to reply to the black-haired girl who only smirked and said, "When you find the answer, tell me." she then went to her table.

Zoro then looked at her and said, "So what happened did you convince captain flirt to join us?"

"No, I didn't, but I think I came close enough to convince him. I'm just letting him think about it." She replied.

Zoro then looked at Luffy wanting to convince him not to take the cook, since he didn't like him from the start, but then the doors were suddenly slammed open.

Everyone then looked at the doors and saw two figures enter them. One was Gin that Luffy and the others helped a couple of days back, and the other figure was a giant of a man who was holding onto Gin. He was wearing a huge cloak on him, but his purple hair could be seen from under the cloak, as well as a cloth tied around his head.

Gin then said frantically, "Here's the restaurant I told about captain. Here we can bring you food."

The man then began to beg, "Please give me some food. I'm extremely hungry." He then slipped from Gin as he hit the ground with a thud while the smaller man tried to help him up.

Once the people looked at the man, and give him a better look they all shrieked in fear as they recognized who he was. The man was none other than Don Krieg; the captain of the Krieg armada. He was a pirate known for his dirty tricks to take down opponents, such as faking defeat before attacking merchant vessels, marines, and pirates alike. He was known in the east blue as the strongest man there, but his steam was cut short when he entered the grand line when they encountered a single man who destroyed his entire fleet in one night only leveling his original ship.

Krieg then said, "Please I need water and food. If it's about money then I have enough to pay, just feed me." the man then bowed down and put his head on the ground as he began to beg the people present there to give him food, but Patty wasn't having any of it as he said, "Do you think that we were born yesterday? The moment we feed you, you will backstab us, and try to kill us all."

He then looked at Krieg as he said, "Your reputation proceeds you. We know all about your fancy tricks, so don't even think about it."

Gin then said, "If it's about money, Don said we have enough money to pay for our food, so please feed him he's about to die." The tanned man begged afraid for his captain's life, but then Patty laughed at him saying, "Yeah, still not convinced with your act. You should seriously get some acting classes."

Patty then called out for someone, "Hey Crane, come here for a moment."

A man then appeared from the kitchen. He was wearing a traditional chef's costume. He had an unshaven beard with sunglasses on his eyes. He slowly walked up to Krieg as he said, "Well, well, well, look at what the sea dragged to us today. I never thought I'd see the day that Don Krieg himself would be begging for food or mercy."

Patty then patted him on the back, as he said, "We should probably call the marines to get this thug out of the ocean for good. He caused so many crimes we would be doing the world a favor if we turn him in. We would get statues for it."

"Please, I only need food, and I promise you I would leave this ship alone. Just bring me a cup of water." The giant man cried out.

"Don, you shouldn't beg like this. You're Don Krieg, the leader of the Krieg fleet you shouldn't beg like this." Gin said as he held his hungry who was barely standing.

Moments later the door of the kitchen opened as it relieved Sanji who walked out of the kitchen door holding a steaming bowl of food, and a clean cup full of water, and slowly walked toward Krieg.

Patty looked at him, and asked, "Hey, what do you think you're doing you moron?" the large armed hand then held Sanji, but alias the blond man kicked him in the face and sent him flying to the other side of the restaurant. He then put the dish in front of Krieg.

Gin then looked at Sanji, and said, "Thank you very much Sanji for helping Krieg."

The huge man then began to slowly eat the food as Crane yelled at Sanji, "What kind of drugs are you on? Now, he will gain his strength back and try to kill us all."

Sanji looked at him unimpressed as he said, "This is not my concern. As long as there is a hungry person, I will try to feed them. I have no shame in this."

Krieg finally finished his meal, as he laid back a little. He then turned toward Sanji and smiled maliciously. He tried to hit the man, but Sanji was then pulled back by two disembodied hands to the side barely avoiding the strike.

Robin who was at her table took a deep breath as she said, "Well, that was really close." She was able to read Krieg's intention, so she reacted as quickly as she can before the man was able to hit Sanji.

The pirate captain then looked at Sanji and scoffed saying, "You got lucky boy, but thanks for the meal I really needed it." He then began looking around the boat and said, "Nice place."

"Don, you were fed. Come on, let's go." Gin said to his captain hoping the man would honor his word. When first mentioned the boat to his captain, the man was thrilled since he and his crew were starved, so he needed to bring them food, but little did Gin know that Krieg had ulterior motives.

The giant man looked for a little moment and said, "Huh, I think I found our new ship."

"Don, what are you saying?" Gin said as he couldn't believe that his captain is planning to harm the people that helped him, "But you promised that you won't do anything to anyone."

"Did you see me hurt anyone? I kept my word, but I never said anything about the ship." He said as he looked at Gin. He then added, "You aren't planning to betray me now Gin, are you?"

"Of course not Don." Gin said quickly trying to pacify his captain.

"Good, now…" he looked at the cooks as he said, "Now listen to me, and listen good. I want a hundred meals by the end of this being prepared to my men, so I can feed them, and any funny stunts will end with everyone one here in caskets, get it." The man said, and everyone knew that he meant business.

Suddenly, Sanji began walking to the kitchen, but was caught by Patty who said, "What do you think you're doing now, you moron?"

Sanji then turned and looked at him as if he grew another head, and said, "Well, you heard the man. He said he needs a meal for hundred men, so I'm going to cook them. They won't cook itself you know."

This caught everyone by surprise, but the cooks were shocked the most. They knew that this idiot loved his place more than anything in this world, so why was he trying to help Krieg of all people.

Patty then did the most logical thing he saw at the moment as he slammed his giant fist on Sanji sending him to the ground, as he said, "Why don't you try a rest for a little while because I think you lost it for a bit. Listen here Sanji, I don't usually say anything when you give free food to some crooks who don't have anything, but I won't allow you to ruin this place."

Sanji then looked at him, and said, "My job as a cook is to feed people whoever they are, and it doesn't matter what happens afterward." The man truly believed in his philosophy that anyone should get a good meal to fill his stomach.

Patty then scoffed as he said, "Are nuts or something? Are you trying to kill us all? This is not some moral issue. This is you trying to ruin this place as you're thinking. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you're Don Krieg's secret spy on the ship."

Krieg then said, "What are you cooks waiting for? I need food for my men right now? So get to it."

Gin then said, "Please do as he said I don't want anyone to be hurt here." The man was still sad that Krieg broke his word, but he said he won't hurt anyone as long as they do whatever he says, so there is no problem.

Patty then smiled as he said, "Before we give you food for your men…" the man then brandished a small rocket launcher on his wrist, "How about you eat some of my custom-made deserts first?" he finished as he launched a couple of projectiles toward the man who took him head-on.

Patty then stood as he lifted his hands, and people began to cheer for him, as they thought that he defeated Krieg, so he said to where Krieg was standing, "How did those desserts taste like?" the man finished with a smile thinking he already ended this.

From the smoke, a voice echoed as he said, "That's the worst dessert that I ever ate in my life. Are you sure you are a cook?" The smoke then cleared as Krieg stood tall with golden armor on him. He then reached toward Patty grabbed his rocket launcher in one hand crashing it, and punched the man with the other sending him to the ground.

Before Krieg can do anything, the doors of the kitchen swung open. A huge sack of food then slammed into the ground as Zeff stood in front of it as he said, "Here are one hundred meals for one hundred men." Zeff then looked at Krieg as he said sternly, "Now get out of here before I kick you out."

Krieg then laughed as he said, "Well, at least you have a sense of humor. But no by the time, I'm back I want this ship to be empty for me to take it, and so it can act as my new home ship."

Zeff then said, "That's not happening, and if you try anything, I will kick you to the bottom of the sea."

Krieg's eyes then widened as he said, "I knew I remembered you from somewhere. You're Red Leg: Zeff. The man who used to defeat his enemies in a foot-oriented fighting style. They say your nickname came from there, right?"

Zeff then said calmly, "Yeah that's me. What's that mean to you?"

"Nothing really," Krieg said, but then added, "But that means that you went to the grand line right?"

Zeff then said, "That's none of your concerns. Now go out of my ship, or be kicked out of it."

"I see," Krieg said as he rubbed his chin, "Here's what's going to happen; you all are going to empty the ship, and I'm going to take your log from your sails to which I will use this time on my journey."

Zeff then scoffed as he said, "As if I'll ever give someone like you my log."

Krieg felt insulted, but he then yelled, "I'm Don Krieg, the strongest man alive. I had all the things necessary to conquer the seas from men to ships, but I only lacked the information, but this time with the information from red Zeff's log, I'm going to conquer the sea and become the pirate king."

"Hey, but that's not going to happen really." A voice cut off Krieg. The man turned around in annoyance as he looked at a teenage boy wearing a straw hat sitting beside a black-haired girl, so he asked in an annoyed voice, "And why is that, brat?"

"That's because I will be the only one who will become the pirate king," Luffy said as if it was a truth of the world.

Krieg scoffed as if he heard a crazy person talk, so he said, "Listen here kid, I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let this slide, but by the time I come back here, I want you gone with the rest of you bugs."

The man then lifted the sack of food over his shoulder and continued walking outside the restaurant, and with that people began running outside the restaurant each running for his life. Gin looked at the people remaining in the restaurant, and said, "I'm sorry for this. I didn't know he was going to do this."

Sanji who was still on the ground stood up, and said, "No problem, but now we'll just have to kick his butt."

Gin then looked at him with shock saying, "You want to fight Don Krieg, but he's the strongest man in the world. You should take his offer, all of you, and leave this place giving it to him. He's being really generous, so why don't you take it."

Sanji lit his cigarette as he said, "This place means so much to that old man, so I will fight to the bitter end to protect it."

Gin then looked at Luffy and said, "You need to leave. Don is angry with you. He will kill you if you don't."

Luffy merely chuckled as he said, "Don't worry about me. I'll simply kick his butt as I did to others, and defeat him." Gin then shook his head as he began walking outside to join his captain, but before he exited he said, "This is advice for all of you; leave this place or you'll face the wrath of the strongest man alive."

Gin then walked outside the door as the cooks swarmed Zeff, and Patty asked him, "Owner Zeff, why did you give them food? You practically empowered them even more. You should have left them to starve and die…"

Zeff then yelled, "Shut up." Every cook then went quiet as they looked at Zeff who said, "Do you understand how it feels to be hungry? How does it feel to wait for a decent meal? How to stay for days on end without a piece of bread in your mouth? How to sit patiently only to see a drop of water?" They all remained quiet, and no one dared to say anything, "No great, so don't talk about what you don't know. We are sea chefs. We live to give people food no matter who they are. Now, we must protect our home, so get ready to fight them." And with that everyone began shouting excitedly.

Then all of the chefs went inside the kitchen to bring weapons for themselves, as they readied for the fight to protect the restaurant. Zeff watched them with a smile as Luffy walked up to him, and said, "They sure seem fired up."

The old man replied, "Can't blame them. This is their home, they're fighting for."

"Old man, I want Sanji. So how about a deal, if I defeat that Krieg guy, he comes with me and becomes my chef."

"You can take him right now I don't care as long as he stops scaring my customers away," Zeff said as he walked away from the boy leaving a stunned Sanji with Luffy who gave him a thumbs-up as a sign of winning something only for the blond man to facepalm as to why this idiot doesn't get it that he doesn't want to go with him to the sea at all.

Sanji then yelled at Zeff saying, "Hey, listen here you shitty old geezer, I'm ain't some old relic that you can throw away whenever you want, or you can make a deal to throw me away. I'm staying here whether you like it or not."

He then walked away from both of them steaming.

Nami then approached Luffy and said, "Luffy, what are we going to do. I have a date I can't miss anymore. Arlong might destroy my village on the head of its people."

She then felt Luffy's hand on her shoulder as he said to her, "Then go."

"What?"

"You heard me." the boy answered, "Take the 'Going Merry' and go to your home island. I'll follow once I defeat captain trashcan, and get our cook. Then we can solve this whole Arlong thing okay."

The girl nodded her head as Luffy then added, "But take Usopp, Yosaku, and Johnny with you just for safety okay."

The girl once again nodded her head. She then walked with Luffy and the crew outside as Don Krieg's men were readying themselves for the fight. He then whispered into Nami's ear, "When the real chaos begins, you go into the ship and leave. Go tell Usopp about this." The girl nodded as she went to talk to Usopp.

Don Krieg then said, "Last chance to empty the ship."

Zeff then walked up to him, and said, "Fat chance, I'll listen to someone who got destroyed in the gates of the grand line." This comment seemed to enrage Krieg who yelled to his men to attack. The men then jumped at the ship only for some of them to be smacked when its fins began to lift from the water.

The fins were now placed horizontally on the side of the ship, as Zeff said, "I don't need the inside of my ship destroyed, so I installed these for troublesome people like you just in case. Leave before we force you to."

Krieg only smiled further as he thought of all the uses for the ship. He can pretend to it to a floating restaurant only to catch his enemies off guard, and kill them all.

Krieg's men then began to run on the fins only to be intercepted by the cooks who jumped into their way using whatever they got under their hands from knives to pans, to lades.

But who stood out was Sanji who was Zeff's personal apprentice, so he lit a cigarette as he said tapped his shoes, and began running. He then jumped into the air and he began kicking his enemies left and right sending them overboard.

The chefs looked at him and began to cheer as Sanji said, "Now that you're all fully fed and healthy, I can kick your butts no problem."

He then kicked a pirate across the face, and sent him into the ocean as he said, "Never attack a sea chef's home, or you'll face the wrath of the sea gods."

Meanwhile, Luffy was jumping up and down at Sanji's fighting impressed by his skills, and so were Robin and Nami. Usopp was merely boasting about how his kicks cut through walls of steel, while Zoro scoffed saying that his kicks are overrated, and a bad swordsman on his worst day can kick his butt.

Krieg was furious with his men seeing as they were being beaten left and right by nobody, so he yelled, "What's happening to you, they're only a couple of sea cooks. End them already."

"Yes, Captain." The men replied in fear, as they continued their assault, but then something happened that shocked everyone.

The remains of Krieg's original ship were then cut in half, and the man himself was in shock as he said, "I thought was left him in the grand line."

"He followed us all the way here."

"What does he want more with us?"

More of Krieg's men began to yell in horror as a figure began to appear from the smoke and the fog.

Luffy then leaned to Nami saying, "Go" the girl nodded as she grabbed Usopp and booked it.

The new arrival was a single man sitting on a boat that resembled a grave with candles on the side. He was wearing a purple suit with a necklace on his chest. On his head lay also a purple hat, and a very huge sword strapped to his back.

Zoro smiled at the new arrival as he said, "It's him…"

The man then lifted his head as he opened his eyes revealing a pair of hawk-like eyes.

"The greatest swordsman in the world Dracula Mihawk."
