Chapter 3 Deadly Life:

Suddenly there was a ding dong. "A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, which you may use however you like, the class trial will begin!" Before I could process what, the hell happened, Monokuma popped up out of nowhere just to give us Hifumi's Monokuma File. Byakuya ripped out of Makoto's hand and tried to take charge of the situation. Before I could even yell at him to give back the file Hina shouts. "How can you be so... so calm...? I mean Hifumi is dead ya know?!" Once she said that, I realized between her and the body discovery announcement were true. Despite all of the stuff he said to me he was just as nervous as the rest of us... but now Hifumi Yamada the Ultimate Fanfic Creator... is dead as well.

"This is all just too awful!" Hina shouted. She started to break down and cry and soon she rushed over to Hifumi's lifeless body. "W-who would do this..." She asked. She burst into tears and she fell from her eyes and landed on Hifumi's body. While this was going something smelled from Hifumi's body... something that stinks... before I could process it... suddenly an arm reached up... it was Hifumi. "He's alive again?!" Makoto shouts. "Jesus dude... you really know how to take a beating." I shouted.

"Where... am I? Cold... so cold... Is... Winter coming?" a weak Hifumi asks. I rushed down to Hina's side as I wasn't about to let him die. "Hifumi! Wake up!" Hina cries out. "Stay with us Hifumi, don't you fuckin die on us you hear me?!" I shouted. "Ahh... that's right... I remember now... Hope's Peak..." He continues. "Come on, you gotta wake up!" Hina cries out. I turned around to the others who just stood there and were doing nothing. "Hey, don't just stand there getting bandages from the nurses office..." I called out. "I...remember everything... Before I'd met you... all... I'd met... you all..." Hifumi continues. "His memories are all binding together. He has nothing useful to offer us..."

"Will you just shut the fuck up already, why aren't you going to the nurses office!?" I shouted to Byakuya. "Ahh... the light...it's... reaching out... to me... like a tail... of a... comet..." Hifumi says. "Don't say another word man, run away from that light you stupid ass." I shouted in his face... despite the smell of something familiar I need Hifumi to see me, regardless of what he has said to me about Alter Ego, he's still a friend. "Mister... Owada, I'm... sorry... for the stuff... I said... you... " Hifumi said with a smile, his arm was shaking and getting weaker.

"Hey Hifumi! Who was it?! Who attacked you!? Who tried to kill you!?" Hina cries out still clutching his body. "Who... killed me...?" He asks. It felt like he was getting weaker by the minute. "That's right... I remember... their name... Yasu...hi...ro..." At that moment his arm hit the floor and his eyes closed. This time Hifumi was really dead. Hina burst into tears over Hifumi's body, I got up as I promised my bro that I wouldn't let anyone else die... but I couldn't keep that promise. "Damn it... DAMN IT!" I yelled.

"This isn't some stereotypical fantasy. Tears can't restore a person's vitality." Byakuya says with a grin. I turned to him wondering what is going through mind to say stupid shit like that. "How much longer until you're satisfied with this fucked up game?!" I yelled. "There's no point in arguing with him Mondo. He's someone who has no tears for the weak, No blood in his veins, no calcium in his bones, At least he has the meat..." "Yeah and like meat he can get his face bashed in!" I yelled. "You're just angry! Going out of his way to return, just to leave us with his..." Before he could finish, I grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him against the wall. "Mondo!" Makoto calls out.

"Go ahead and say it, I dare you, I double dare you motherfucker!" I shouted. "Get those disgusting fingers off of me and release me this instant!" Byakuya shouted. "Like I'm going to take orders from a heartless smug bastard like you!" I shouted back. "So what are you going to do, kill me, I'll be glad to see you get executed for good this time." Byakuya says grinning. He's tempting me but I'm smarter than that. "Kill you... I wish... but I'm better than that, and it wouldn't be that easy for someone like you... you piece of shit. No this is what you're going to do, you're going to stand here, shut up, and keep those comments in that fuckin mouth of yours." I said.

I let go of Byakuya and placed him down. I walked back over to Makoto so that way he could hold me back. "Getting back on topic... Hifumi did say Yasuhiro, right?" Sakura asks. "Yasuhiro Hagakure... That is the only person he could have been referring to. So Mondo if you want to take out your frustration on anyone... you can take it out on Hiro." Celeste says. "And with that, this case is solved." Byakuya says. "If it's true, I can't forgive him... no way I can ever forgive him!" Hina shouts. "Ok Hina then how about we skip the class trial, find Hiro ourselves and beat the answers out of him." I shouted. Hina, clearly angry, looks at me with a nod.

"That's fine with your method... and while you do that checking all over the school, we'll track down the culprit in our little life-or-death game here." Byakuya said some more bullshit but I didn't care because I had so much anger that I didn't listen. All I cared about was finding Hiro, kicking his ass, and making him wish he were dead. "Come on Hina, let's go, this bastard is fuckin dead!" I shouted. The two of us were ready to leave the repository.

"Hold on you two, I get that you're angry, trust me I feel the same way, if it is Hiro I'll never forgive him either... but going after him without any evidence won't solve anything. Mondo, do you remember what you told me when everyone thought I killed Sayaka... about what your brother told you?" Makoto asked. I stopped from leaving the room and I realized I'm acting out of anger. I thought about what Makoto asked when this whole thing started the first time. "You're innocent until proven guilty." I said.

"Yeah so even if Hiro is responsible, we need to find evidence to prove it right? So please can you and Hina just stay calm and help us find some evidence?" Makoto asked. Hina turned around. "Makoto is right, I still don't forgive Hiro, however there's no point in going after him without any evidence. Ok Makoto, I'll stay and help you." She says, I took a deep breath and smiled. The first thing we did was check the Monokuma File. It stated that the victim was Hifumi Yamada, the cause of death was a blow to the head. The time of death was 9:30 am. So it wasn't that long ago before Hifumi got killed. "It seems that the Monokuma File gave us the needed information, now we just need to find the evidence." Celeste says. "There's something else that's bothering me... aside from Hiro one other person has been missing for quite a while." Sakura says. "Are you talking about Kyoko?" Makoto asked. "I thought we agreed that she was MIA, right?" I asked.

"I understand, and I know she's not the type to die so easily... However if Hiro really is the culprit, there's still a chance he can go after her. Plus she does have an alibi from when Celeste and Hifumi were attacked. However, what if the killer wasn't working alone? What if they had... an accomplice?" Sakura asks. The thought of an accomplice didn't make sense because we discussed it in the first trial that if only one person killed only they would get profit off of it... but then I thought about it. However, just as I was thinking, Monokuma shows up again. "I'm pretty sure I explained it before, didn't I? During the first class trial. Even Mondo knows that despite him being unbelievably retarted." Monokuma says. "Oh kiss my ass!" I shouted. "Nah I'm not into bikers. Anyways as I said each murder is allowed an accomplice, but only the one who does the killing will get to graduate." Monokuma says.

"Yeah, that's why I said that there would be no reason for anyone to work together." I said. "That maybe true, but did anyone work together this time?" Sakura asked. "Sorry can't answer that! It would obstruct the free exchange of information between you guys." Monokuma says smiling. "It's not like you've done that before, so if you're not going to tell us, why don't just get the fuck out of here, how about that?!" I shouted. "Fine, fine but just remember, only one blackened can graduate. An accomplice gets nothing!" Monokuma says. "Then we only need to figure out who that one blackened is that did the killing, right? Just like normal?" Byakuya asks. "Well let me clarify something on the off chance that there is an accomplice. In this class trial, what you need to determine is... the one true blackened who devised the murder plot and put it into action!" Monokuma answers.

After that he leaves in the blink of an eye. "Then I can't see any way Kyoko would be connected to this case, after all." Makoto says. "Look man I don't want to get your hopes up but don't forget about one person killing two people rule that Byakuya talked about. There's still a chance she could get killed even if those chances are extremely low." I said. "If that's true then... Kyoko, where are you?" Hina asks. "As long as she's not connected to the case and if she doesn't get murdered it doesn't matter. Let's get back to the investigation for now." Sakura says. "I have absolutely no doubt Hiro is responsible for this." Celeste says. At this point something felt off about Celeste. She seems to believe that Hiro is the culprit yet he hasn't been found, I feel like she has something to hide.

However I've caused enough trouble arguing with Byakuya, the only thing we can do now is wait until the time is right. "Y-you know... don't you think we should consider a certain someone a suspect, just in case? I'm talking about the murderous fiend... Genocide Jack!" Hina asks "Wha-?! I'm offended!" Genocide Jack said as she appeared right the hell out of nowhere. "Jesus... why the hell do you keep popping up like that?" I asked. "More importantly how and when did you-?" "I've been looking all over for you, master! When I woke up, you were nowhere to be found!" Genocide Jack or Jill or whatever she wants to be called says interrupting Byakuya. "I liked it better when she called him a lowly cur." I whispered to Makoto.

"Anyway! You there milk sack swimmer girl! Why do I gotta be the suspect?!" She shouts at Hina. "Well, I mean... you are a serial killer." Hina argues. "I'm not doubting her either, but you did say last time you like to kill boys... and the victim is a boy this time." I said. I point Genocide Jack to Hifumi's body. "Well... as much as I wish I could kill him I have an alibi you know..." She says, "She's right when we heard Hifumi scream, she was with me. And when his body disappeared, she was still lying unconscious in the equipment room. I can't imagine any way she would have been able to move his body." Byakuya says. "Besides like I said even if I wanted to kill him, I calculate every move I make! I'm not gonna kill someone when everyone knows what I look like! They don't call me the murderous fiend for nothing!" Genocide Jill says interrupting again.

"That's not the kind of thing you should be bragging about!" Hina shouts. "On another topic, should we guard by the bodies like before? We can't have them disappearing again..." Celeste asks. "Actually wait, Mondo promised that he would help me investigate the crime scene in case another murder were to happen, so Sakura are you fine with watching the scene by yourself?" He asks. "That's no problem, Hina and I can handle that you don't mind do you Hina?" She replies. "Sure. I'd be totally useless on the investigation anyway... but I do want Mondo to help out as well." Hina says sadly.

"And how exactly can a neanderthal like him possibility help with an investigation?" Byakuya asks back to his usual smug self. "Well screw you, I said I was going to help Makoto and that's exactly what I'm doing." I said. "Besides Byakuya we don't have any more time to waste, so look Mondo and I will look around the room to see if there are clues we can find, Hina and Sakura will watch over Hifumi's body, and you, Celeste and Genocide Jack can wait in case Kyoko comes back." Makoto says. "I agree, so if you want to be democratic why don't we do it this way? All in favor of Makoto's plan raise your hand." I called out. All of the girls raise their hands agreeing with this plan. "Well majority rules. Ok Mondo let's start looking around" Makoto says to me. I got excited and happy. It was time I got to prove to Makoto that I'm a man of my word. I'm not smart but I'm going to help Makoto out and catch this killer.

First, we looked at the mantle of Hammers. "Yo Makoto, is it just me or are there less hammer's compared to when we came here last time?" I asked. "I think the Justice Hammers have been designed using these as models. They're all covered in debris and Chalky stone powder..." I suddenly looked to my left in shock. "Hey look at that!" I called out. I point to a crack in the wall in between the two paintings and on the floor... was Justice Hammer 4. "Is that... Justice Hammer 4 from the equipment room?" Makoto asks. "It has to be plus that crack in the wall wasn't there either, looks like somebody tried to break it open." I said, the two of us looked at the hammer closer this time debris, dust and stones were all over the hammer compared to when we found it in the equipment room. "I wonder... wait!" Makoto calls out. "What is it?" I ask.

Makoto runs back up on the mantle and pulls down one of the hammers. "Mondo feel this hammer for a moment." Makoto says as he passes me the hammer. It was wet. And saw water dripping down on it. "It looks like someone scrubbed it, and yet Justice Hammer 4 hasn't even been touched, hell it seems the killer didn't bother to clean this hammer at all." I said, I picked up Justice Hammer 4 and saw how some of the paint covering the hammer started to chip away and got dusty while the hammer Makoto gave me was wet and dripping with water. "Well it seems like we found the weapon that killed Hifumi, but what are we supposed to do with this spotless Hammer if it's just a regular one compared the four we found that are decorated?" I ask. "Well that part we'll have to wait for the class trial, but for now I think we'll just call it Justice Hammer 5." Makoto says.

"Alright sounds good, why don't we check Hifumi next?" I ask. "Sure but why?" Makoto asks. "Well somethings were bothering me even when I was near him with Hifumi I smelled something around his body, and plus we do need to figure out how the killer got his body from the nurses office to up here, right?" I ask. "That's true, why don't we check it out then." Makoto says. The two of us walked over to Hifumi's lifeless body. There was still the mystery of how the killer moved Hifumi from the nurses office to the repository, plus it's from 1st floor to the 3rd floor. The two of us further examined Hifumi's body, the smell from before he came back.

"Whoa, Mondo you're right there is a smell coming from Hifumi." Makoto says. "Yeah but it's not the stink kind of smell... hold on Makoto, feel his clothes for a minute." I said, we both touched parts of Hifumi's clothes and... they were wet. "His body is wet, it's not much but it seems like Hifumi didn't have time to air dry yet, plus now that I'm looking at it the bandages he had before are gone." Makoto says. "Yeah plus I doubt he took a shower while he was kidnapped plus, regular water doesn't smell... unless it was added with something." I said, "Like maybe chlorine... and the only place that has chlorinated water is the pool." Makoto says.

"Jesus so when did the killer have time to stop at the pool, plus the Monokuma File says he died from a blow to the head, not drowning." I said, "We'll check the pool later to confirm this for now there's something else that's been bothering me...look at his glasses." Makoto points me to his glasses. "Hey, these things look clear, compared to when he was attacked in the nurse's office his glasses were covered in blood too not just his head." I said, "Which means someone must have cleaned his glasses." Makoto says. "Shit, the only thing I could think of as to why his glasses were wiped clean, however it still doesn't explain where the bandages from his head and hands are." I said, "Well probably have to check that out later." Makoto replies.

"You know while we are on the subject of strange, I feel like someone's hiding something, especially Celeste. Everyone, hell, including me are convinced that Hiro killed Hifumi, however there's a lot of stuff that doesn't make any sense. Celeste especially she's been taking charge of this whole fiasco and was the one who said Hiro is the culprit. Doesn't that sound off?" I ask. "Yeah that doesn't sound right at all. We have to ask everyone first, then we can ask Celeste." Makoto replies.

The two of us went around the repository and asked anyone to confirm about Hiro being the culprit. Byakuya says that everyone expect Hiro has an alibi and that Hifumi said his name before he died. The two of them talked about why if Hiro was the culprit, did he bother putting on that ridiculous costume. They went back and forth, I tried to follow along, but I just couldn't keep track. Finally he just left. "Sorry man I couldn't keep track of all that, but what the hell was that about?" I asked. "I think he talked as if... he'd figured something out." Makoto replies. "Well were not letting him take any of the credit this time right." I said, Makoto nodded, and we continued onward.

We talked to Sakura next. "I must be honest, you two definitely make a great team." She says, "Thanks, I got most of what happened but there's a lot of evidence that doesn't make any sense." I said, "That's true there are many aspects to the incident this time. Too many, to be honest... Considering that, it maybe a good idea to look back on everything that's happened." Sakura replies. "Yeah, I think it's a good idea after all the shit that went down today, I can't even keep track of what happened two hours ago. So what do you say Makoto?" I ask. "Yeah I think it's best if we look over what happened." He replies.

"Very well let's start from the beginning. This morning only five of us met up at the dining hall Hina, Kyoko, you two, and myself. We waited for the others, but nobody showed up. So we decided to go look for them." "And we waited about an hour after we had breakfast before we left." I said, "Correct Mondo, we began our search around 8 o'clock, we split to search different floors, you and Makoto searched the 1st floor, I searched the dorms, Hina searched the 3rd floor and Kyoko searched the 2nd floor." Sakura says.

"After we split up that's when Kyoko disappeared." Makoto says. "We didn't have time to check because that's when Hina found Celeste in the rec room, on the third floor where she was searching then quickly grabbed you, me and Mondo." Sakura continued. "Once Mondo and I got Celeste to calm down, she said that she was attacked by the suspicious individual and lay unconscious for about an hour. In other words, she was attacked an hour before we found her. Meaning just after 7 o'clock." Makoto says. "That's where we found Justice Hammer 1 that was used to attack her, and she said that she took a picture of that Robo Justice guy dragging Hifumi away with his digital camera." I said.

"Yes and that's when we became aware of that costumed individual, once we learned that we met up with Toko and Byakuya on the second floor when we realized that Kyoko wasn't with us. We began our search for the costumed assailant on the second floor. There we found an injured Hifumi at the library." She continued. "That was when we found Justice Hammer 2 in the library, since he was still breathing, we went to the first floor to the nurses office, we continued our search leaving Hifumi there and telling him to get some rest." I said.

"Yes however before we could even search Celeste said that she saw a shadow running up to the second floor that's when our search began, or so we thought when screamed Saying that Robo Justice was on the 3rd floor. From there we made our way to the 3rd floor." Sakura said. "Once we got up to the third floor, we heard a scream back downstairs, that scream came from Hifumi. At that point we split up into two groups. Celeste, Hina, Mondo and I went back to the nurse's office. Meanwhile you, Byakuya, and Toko pursued the suspect on the 3rd floor. And when we got back to the nurses office..." Makoto says.

"We found Hifumi more badly injured, still alive but his injuries were worse than before, on top of that we found Justice Hammer 3 on the ground. The two of us grabbed Hifumi and placed him on the bed. Makoto and I went up to the third floor to tell you're group about Hifumi, we left Celeste and Hina to bandage up Hifumi's wounds so he wouldn't bleed out." I said. "And while that was happening my group was checking the equipment room in the physics lab to find some things that were off about it we couldn't find anything specific except for a trail of water and blood mixed together and Justice Hammer 4 which looked like it was never even used once.." Sakura continues.

"After we arrived you, me, Mondo and Byakuya all headed back to the nurses office... leaving behind Toko who fainted from the blood and water mixture." Makoto says. "However the moment we left the physics lab Celeste came running up to us saying that Hifumi disappeared even despite the injuries he received from two hammers to the head. However when we got to the nurse's office Hifumi's body disappeared from bed we placed him on, and the only thing to clue was in were some of the blood on the bed sheets and pillows." I said. "After that I remembered we abandoned Toko unconscious and went back to the equipment room. Since the killer didn't murder Hifumi, there was still a chance the killer would have killed Toko." She continues.

"So in order to prevent the killer from committing any form of murder we began searching from Hifumi to make sure that he was still alive despite his injuries." Makoto said. "We first checked the repository but the door to the place was locked even after I knocked on the door and yelled there was no response. After Makoto and I tried to locate in one of two classrooms on the 3rd floor, Celeste told us she found Hifumi's body in the repository, and the door that was locked before, was unlocked." I said. "Once I opened the door we all found Hifumi, once we found him the body discovery announcement came on... indicating that he was killed, which pretty much leads to right now." Makoto says.

"Looking back, things have certainly been very active..." Sakura says. "I'll say the whole thing while serious felt like a fuckin wild goose chase. On top of that after looking back on everything Celeste has been the most active out of all of us." I said, "Well regardless I think you two are doing a great job, Makoto I believe you Mondo have made a great promise, so keep up the good work and make Taka proud." Sakura says with a smile. "You bet; we should talk to Hina now right?" I ask. "Sure thing... partner." Makoto says with a smile. "Partner huh... yeah, I like the sound of that." I said.

The two of us walked over to Hina to see how she was holding up. "Yo Hina, how are you? have you tried to calm down for a bit?" I asked. "Thanks for asking Mondo, I'm still sad but I'm more relaxed than before. Do you two mind if I ask you guys something?" She asks. "Yeah what is it?" Makoto asked. "While you guys were talking with Sakura, Mondo brought up a good point about the repository. After we split into our groups Sakura and I came to the repository before you and Mondo came, and even before the repository door was locked we couldn't get inside... even when Mondo tried knocking there was nobody inside so we assumed no one was there. We were the first ones to get to the repository so there's no way someone could bear us here...So if that's true, then... who locked the door, and why was it unlocked now?" Hina asks. "We all thought the same thing." Makoto says.

"Yeah and on top of that Celeste was the one to say to go to the repository after we already tried the locked door." I added. "Yeah. Well I hope I was a help to you guys; Sakura was right you two are pretty good together." Hina says with a smile. "Thanks Hina. Mondo, let's try the door." Makoto says. The two of us went to the doorknob and there was a push in lock, but it could only be locked from inside the repository. "So that means there was someone in the repository when I called out, they were just being really quiet." I said. "Plus there isn't a way to lock it from in the art room, as you said Mondo someone was already in the repository before Hina and Sakura." Makoto said. "With the exception of Hifumi, Kyoko and Hiro everyone was in the same area at the time we began the search, my only theory is that someone must have started off ahead of the group while no one was looking." I said.

"I think we should try a few more rooms, let's check the nurse's office and the equipment room. So we can confirm how Hifumi went from there to here in the repository, and if we can check the equipment room we can find out if Justice Hammer 4 went from there to here." Makoto says. "Sure thing partner. But where should we go first?" I said. "I think we should check the equipment room first since the physics lab and the art room are both on the third floor. "Alright then the equipment room it is." I said.

With that the two of us left the repository and went to the physics lab. When we got to the physics lab Genocide Jack was already there. We immediately saw that Justice Hammer 4 that was in this room was gone. "So that means someone did take Justice Hammer 4 to the repository." Makoto says. "Hey Genocide Jack, you were in this room right? Did you at least see anything?" I asked. "I was sleeping right here when the culprit took the hammer. I'm super pissed I missed such an ultimately rare event!" She says. "So basically nothing." I said. "Not entirely look here." Makoto says. He points to a wet spot on the ground. Some drops of blood mixed with a dry stain.

"Well what could that stuff mean that was with the blood?" I asked. "It's probably what Byakuya and Sakura said before. How Toko fainted when she saw blood mixed with water, however it would seem the water must have dried up." Makoto says. "Well aside from those things this room was the same as we left it, though it did confirm that this culprit took Justice Hammer 4 from the equipment room to the repository." I said, "Right so that would explain why we found Justice Hammer 4 in the condition we found it in the repository. Now we should check the nurses office, from there we can figure out how the culprit took Hifumi from the nurses office to the repository." Makoto says. "That'll be the room where everything falls into place, so let's get to it." I said.

The two of us left the equipment room confirming that someone took Justice Hammer 4 from there to the repository. We went down to the first floor to search the nurses office. When we got to the nurses office Celeste was already there. She's been acting weird the whole time during this fiasco, and I want to get some answers out of her, but for now I need to work with Makoto to find some clues in regard to Hifumi's murder. "Ah, Makoto, Mondo I wasn't expecting you two to be here." She says, "We already searched the repository and the equipment room, so this is the only room we have to check now." I said. "Well there are some things I need to confirm, but one thing for sure is that Justice Hammer 3 is still right where we left it." Makoto says.

"What I don't understand is why the killer left all those hammers in the rooms, of course with the exception of Justice Hammer 4 every other hammer has been left behind to where Celeste and Hifumi got attacked?" I asked. "It might be because since Justice Hammer 4 was the largest of the hammers we found that would be enough to kill someone, since despite the size of Justice Hammer 3 Hifumi was able to survive the blow." Makoto says. "That's true, but don't you think..."

"Is there something you two want to ask?" Celeste asks. "Yes actually, Celeste, what are you investigating here in the nurse's office?" Makoto asks. "I am not investigating anything, precisely saying. I am simply going around, seeing if Hiro might be hiding somewhere. What about you two? What are you trying to find in the nurse's office?" she asks. "We're just checking this and that... really we're trying to figure out how the culprit dragged Hifumi from the nurses office to the repository." Makoto says. "There has to be some way, the blood from Hifumi's near fatal wound has seeped through the pillowcase and the sheets where we left him." I said checking the bed where we placed Hifumi where he got attacked.

"I see, how was Hifumi moved, eh?" She pondered. "When he disappeared, you and Hina were supposed to be in the nurse's office while Mondo and I went to the equipment room to tell the others what happened." Makoto says. "Correct. Hina was not feeling well, so I stayed behind to look after her. But she seemed to be worse, so I took her to the bathroom." Celeste replied. "And when you got back, his body was gone?" Makoto asked. "We could not have gone for more than a minute or two though." She replied. "So then, the killer was able to get in and move Hifumi's body in that short amount of time?" Makoto asked.

"But even that doesn't make any sense, even if the culprit is Hiro there's no way he could have dragged Hifumi up to the repository in at least a minute." I said. "Hey Celeste, there's something I've been meaning to ask you?" I continued. "And what would that be Mondo?" She replied. "For one thing you've been pretty vocal this entire situation, not just splitting up our groups but also you seem like you had to take charge over everything. Another thing, why are you so hell bent on believing Hiro killed Hifumi?" I asked.

"It's pretty obvious is it not? It's clear Hifumi said Yasuhiro when he died and he still hasn't appeared. As for being vocal I wanted to take the initiative so that Byakuya wouldn't have to." She responded. Once again it seemed like Celeste just dodged the question... I didn't want to pressure her anymore, so I just left it there. "Man I forgot we've been running around all day I forgot to get our drinks." I said, "Don't worry Mondo. I see a fridge over there, maybe we can find some drinks for us, Celeste do you want anything?" Makoto asked. "I'm ok, but appreciate the thought." She replied.

Makoto opened the fridge and instead of drinks there were packets of blood, the type of packets that hospitals use where they transfer blood and shit. I went over to see if there was something to give me energy and my foot pushed down on the lid that opens the trash bin. I looked inside and saw something. "Holy shit! Makoto come look at this!" I called out. Makoto jogged over and looked inside the trash bin. What we saw looked like a glasses cleaning cloth and it had some freaky ass character on it. "Did you two find something?" Celeste asked. "Actually Mondo found it, There's a cleaning cloth in the trash can." Makoto replies. "A cleaning cloth...?" She asked. "Whoever this belonged to must have used it to wipe up some blood." He says. "Well I can tell firsthand it's somebody who likes freaky ass cartoons like this... however this character looks familiar. Hey Celeste, doesn't this character look like that princess thing on Hifumi's camera you took from him?" I asked.

"I haven't the slightest idea." she replied. "But don't you have the camera with you?" I asked. "No, I went to my dorm first to put the camera down before I went to the nurses office. I didn't have to look at it again." She replied. "Well I suppose we should go; we did find something but there's more we need to check, let's head back to the equipment room." Makoto says. "Right, we'll see you in the class trial." I said. "I wish you both the best of luck." Celeste said.

As the two of us went back to the physics lab I was getting more irritated about what happened. "You saw that shit right?" I asked Makoto. "I can't blame you Mondo, I mean Celeste avoided another question... yet she somehow sounds convincing." Makoto replies. "I just can't shake this feeling like Celeste is hiding something, I mean the fact that she easily convinced all of us that Hiro is the culprit. And the cartoon princess on Hifumi's camera is almost the same as the character on the cleaning cloth, did that robo justice hit her spot that made her go blind too?!" I asked. "Well, I don't know Mondo, at this point, aside from a handful of people it's hard to figure out who has a good poker face, and who is telling the truth and who is lying." Makoto says. "That is true, but I still feel like it's way too obvious and there is a chance that Celeste is lying just to save her ass." I said, "Well..."

"I thought I would find you two coming here." Before we could continue our conversation Byakuya was right in front of the physics lab. "I wanted to thank you for what you did. Not that you've meant to, but you ended up making this little game of ours very interesting indeed, and it seems you're pet there has developed a brain too." He continued. "Well that certainly is a way to give us a compliment." I said. "You should go to Hiro's room next. Oh and Mondo hold on to this in order to make yourself useful." Byakuya says. Byakuya handed me a letter that said, "Meet in the dining hall."

"What the hell is this supposed to be, are you telling us to go to Hiro's room or the dining room, make up your damn mind!" I shouted. "Actually Mondo I think I get what Byakuya wants us to do. You might not have gotten it, but Hiro wrote that note for everyone to meet up. You probably got up early before Hiro gave his note to you." Makoto says. "You remember well." Byakuya says. "Still just looking at this thing, I'm surprised Hiro knows how to write well considering how he said, he got held back." I said. "The penmanship is pretty remarkable, so it definitely left an impression..." Makoto says. "Anyway, this makes it clear, right? This is a trap. Things are getting more exciting." Byakuya says. "What is it?" I asked. "I already paid my debt to Makoto. I never gave you anything. Besides I don't owe you an explanation to either of you. Goodbye..."

Byakuya says he walks away. "Yeah well fuck you too!" I called out. "All right man, so are we going to Hiro's room, but how the hell are we supposed to do that my bro said in the last two trials that the locks to our rooms were unpickable." I said, "It's true that Taka did say the locks were unpickable but... why don't we go there?" Makoto asks. "If it gets us some kind of new lead then let's get going." I said.

The two of us headed down to the dorms and went down the hall to Hiro's room which was in between Hifumi's and Leon's dorms. When Makoto pulled on the knob the door was unlocked. When we walked in the room all we saw was just mystical witchcraft shit, books stacked on top of each other on the desk and all of this voodoo stuff. "I got to admit it wasn't what I was expecting." I said. "Expect that, look." Makoto and I bent down to find some cardboard boxes and a piece of paper that had a design and materials made out of cardboard, plastic, and plaster.

"Is this stuff for Robo Justice?" Makoto asks. "Well the blueprints are a big give away that's for sure, and yet even though it's Hiro's room, this just seems un-Hiro like if you know what I mean." I said, "You're right... Mondo give me the blueprints for a minute." Makoto calls out. "Sure you got it." I said, I gave Makoto the blueprints as I looked over his shoulder so I could try to figure out what he's trying to find. "I think I know what it is... but I think we should save it for the class trial, there's one more place we need to check." Makoto says. "The pool right, because Hifumi's clothes were wet as he lay dying and that's the only place where Hifumi got wet and left a chlorinated smell." I said. "Yeah we need to check the pool first to confirm." Makoto replied.

The two of us got up and left Hiro's room. As soon as we walked out the door Hina came running down the hall. "Makoto! Mondo! Big news! BIG NEWS!" She cried out. "What's wrong?" Makoto asked. "Did you find someone?" I asked. "Yes we found Kyoko." Hina says. "Is she okay? Where is she?" Makoto asked. "Wait I wasn't done. There's more big news." She continued. "Is it about Hiro?" I asked. "No it's Robo Justice!" Hina says. "We already confirmed that it's Hiro in the costume. Come to the pool on the second floor." Hina says as she dashes for the stairs. "Well that saves us some time. The pool is actually where we need to go anyway." I said. "Let's go." Makoto says.

The two of us dash towards the stairs and to the pool. When we got to the pool Byakuya, Celeste, and Hina were already there but across the way I saw something strange. "There's the Robo Justice suit." Makoto says. The two of us ran to the other side of the pool toward the locker. As soon as we got closer we saw Kyoko was there as well. "Kyoko and..." There was the Robo Justice suit but remained silent. "Hiro, I believe the time has come for you to come out." Celeste said. Still no response. "Hiro, there's no point in hiding you killed Hifumi now get out of that costume!" Hina shouted but still nothing.

While this was happening I turned to Kyoko. "Hey Kyoko, do you know how worried we all were, where the hell were you?" I asked. "There's no time to worry about that. I found Hiro jammed in the pool room locker, however something seems off, I didn't want to confirm anything until more people came. I thought he was asleep, so I kicked him and there was no response." Kyoko says. "So he's trying to be a rock when his back is against the wall." Byakuya says. "It's not that, look at the costume for a minute." She says. Makoto looked at the costume for a bit. "Kyoko is right, something seems different, Mondo feel the arms." I felt the arms and sure enough there were drips of water. "What the... hey the paints on my hand. And is it dripping?" I said. "It seems to be. I already felt the same thing when I found it, it seemed like the costume was still drying. But there was a clue from that over there."

Kyoko pointed to something next to the locker. "Isn't that the dolly from the equipment lab, how did it get here?" Makoto asked. "That's something we need to uncover." Kyoko says. "But what about Hiro, he's still being silent, just come out already?!" Hina shouted. There was still no response. "Kyoko could you at least tell us where you've been?" Makoto asked. "There was something I had to check up on." She replied. "But..." "NEVER! MIND!" She shouted. "It's best to leave it right their man, woman just want to keep things to themselves." I said, "More importantly we need to get Hiro to drop the act and ask him why he's dressed up like that..." Kyoko stopped mid-sentence. "I don't care what his reason is, He should do something about that costume. It pains me just to look at it." Byakuya says. "Well it doesn't look like he can take it off though." I said.

"Why would he make something that you can't take off by yourself?" Celeste asks. "Let me try something. HEY HIRO, YOU LITTLE BUM GET OUT OF THAT COSTUME ALREADY!" I shouted. There was still no response. "OH YOU'RE PRETENDING TO BE ASLEEP NOW YOU SCARED SACK OF SHIT?!" I yelled. "There's a clasp on the back that's keeping him from getting out. It's pretty sturdy. I don't think you can get it off on your own. We don't have a choice... Let's help him." Kyoko said. I went around behind the costume and sure enough a metal clasp which was the only thing that seemed new like compared to the rest of the costume. I went and opened the hatch. "All right Hiro enough games, it's time to get out of that fuckin..."

As soon as I opened the hatch water came flooding out and something landed right by my feet... It was wet, dripping... It was Hiro, with his eyes wide open and his body not moving an inch covered in water. "Hiro?" Makoto asked. Before long a ding dong came from in the pool area. "A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, which you may use however you like, the class trial will begin!" It was the body discovery announcement. "Well this is unexpected." Celeste said. So that wasn't a joke.

The body discovery announcement came on, which means Yasuhiro Hagakure the Ultimate Clairvoyant... is dead. "So Hiro is dead? What the fuck man!" I shouted. "But if Hiro is dead then who's the culprit?" Hina asks as tears are about to leave her eyes. "That's obvious... one of us is the culprit." Byakuya says. "Well, well, I didn't think there will be more but it's certainly exciting!" It was Monokuma who came out of nowhere again. "I was starting to get bored and was going to start the class trial but seeing this makes things more exciting, well I suppose I should cut to the chase... here it is... The Monokuma File."

Monokuma pulls out a Monokuma File that is the same as Hifumi on the outside. Once Makoto opened it up he read it out loud. "Victim Yasuhiro Hagakure, cause of death... drowning. Time of death 9 am!?" Makoto says. "Just as I thought I needed the body discovery announcement to confirm it, but it appears Hiro had been killed before Hifumi and has been dead for some time now." Kyoko looks calm. "Then his cause of death explains why the Robo Justice costume is wet." I said. "It was just like with Hifumi's clothes it seems it had only little time to air dry." Makoto says. "This does give us a problem. If Hiro is dead then my previous assumption of him killing Hifumi is wrong." Celeste says. "Well that's why Mondo and I came here in the first place, there were some things we need to confirm." Makoto says. "Well I think it's best if we look here in the pool to find some pieces of evidence." Kyoko suggests.

At this point she's right, that's all we can do. "Still isn't it kind of weird how perfectly the suit fits Hiro...?" Hina asks. "More to the point, nobody but Hiro would have been able to wear that costume." Celeste says. "Well then how the hell did he die with him still wearing it?" I asked. "That's obvious he knew the blueprints were in his room so once he finished Killing Hifumi, he jumped to the deep end of the pool and committed suicide so he wouldn't have to face the guilt." Byakuya says. "But that doesn't make sense. Did you even read the Monokuma File? Plus Kyoko just said that Hiro has been dead for a while and he died a half an hour before Hifumi." I brought up.

"Mondo's right besides I think there's more to it than that, there's probably some kind of pieces of evidence that proves that Hiro's death wasn't a suicide." Makoto says. "At the very least we won't know if Hiro either committed suicide, or someone killed him until we check this entire area." Kyoko adds. "I think we should first check the costume, it maybe wet but maybe there's some secret to it." Makoto suggests. "I agree that should be the first thing we should check." Kyoko says." "Ok then I'll test it." Hina calls out.

I moved Hiro's wet corpse out of the way, placed it against the wall and closed his eyes so he could rest in peace. I turn around and Hina tries to get the wet Robo Justice costume on. She was only able to get the chest, one leg and one arm on, after that she was stuck. "Whoa! See how loose it is? I mean, come on... I'm blind as a bat in here! Can't see my feet at all. I'm surprised he got anywhere in this thing. Not to mention-! You totally can't bend at the waist! Seems like a pretty obvious oversight..." Hina says. "Just be careful Hina you're going to lose your balance." I called out.

I got up and got Hina to stand up straight by taking the leg and arm off so she could stay on two feet. "Thanks Mondo, I actually thought I was going to lose my balance. However we now know for sure right? I mean, it seems pretty clear that nobody but Hiro coulda fit into this dumb costume!" Hina says. Hina gets the chest part off of her as I place it with the rest of the pieces. "Well? We know that Hiro fits into the costume but where does that get us?" Hina asks. "Well why don't we check Hiro's body?" I asked. "Why his body though?" Celeste asks. "Because we found some details like Hifumi's clothes being wet when we checked his body so maybe there's something Hiro might have." Makoto says. "Then Makoto and Mondo will check Hiro's body." Kyoko says without any hesitation.

The two of us went to Hiro's lifeless body, his body was wet, his fingers were pruning but something was poking out of his pocket. "What is that?" I ask. I felt like paper as I didn't want to rip it. So I carefully pulled out the paper, sure enough it was dripping wet, but the writing was in pencil, so we were able to read it... well sort of. "I found a hole maybe we can use to escape. Monokuma can't find out, so don't tell anyone else for now. Let's meet in the rec room at 1 A.M." Makoto read the note.

At that moment Sakura and Toko came bursting in. "What happened, Toko and I heard the body discovery announcement, and we came running!" Sakura called out. "Well Sakura it's Hiro... he's dead." Hina says. "Damn! So there really were two people." Sakura says in frustration. "Oh another cute boy is dead!" Genocide Jack screams. "This letter though..." "Makoto, this is what I was trying to tell you... that letter." I called out. "Mondo, you've seen that letter?" Makoto asked. "Well since everyone's here I can finally show you guys something." I said. Everyone gathered around me and Makoto as I pulled out the piece of paper I've had since last night. "What is it Mondo?" Hina asks. "I was going to ask you guys when we were in the dining hall, but since everyone is here I can show this." I pulled out the letter I got and gave it to Makoto. "It says I found a hole maybe we can use it to escape. Monokuma can't find out, so don't tell anyone else for now. Let's meet in the equipment room at 6 AM."

"So Mondo got a letter too and it seems that the handwriting is the same." Sakura says. "That would seem to be the case the difference however is the time and place." Celeste says. "But Mondo never went to the equipment room right?" Hina asks. "Yeah I can confirm that I saw him come out of his room at 7 am to join us at the dining hall." Makoto says. "When I got the letter last night I thought it was a trap, so I didn't bother going. I thought about it since that was how Sayaka got Leon to come to Makoto's room to try and kill him and naturally I thought it was the same thing." I said. "Wow it's amazing how someone as dumb as you was able to come up with a smart move." Byakuya says.

"Whatever, but from the sounds of it, it seemed like Hiro fell for the letter, but that doesn't explain how he was knocked out and put in the costume in the first place." I said. "There is a possibility that Hiro could have been drugged, the nurse's office did have chemicals that could have knocked him out..." Kyoko says. "Well even if that is true Hiro must have been one dumb fish to take the bait like that." Hina says. "Come on true he might have been the culprit but let the man rest in peace already." I said. "So to summarize Hiro and Mondo got similar letters, however Hiro did what the letter told him to do, Mondo ignored the letter and joined the people who were at the dining hall." Makoto says. "And those people were Hina, Makoto, Kyoko and myself. So Mondo has four witnesses to where he's been and thus has a solid alibi." Sakura adds.

"Hm it seemed like a pretty big oversight for the culprit to forget the note in Hiro's pocket, however if Hiro's cause of death was drowning it would make sense as to why the culprit didn't get rid of the letter. With that in mind we should resume our investigation. There's no time to waste before the class trial begins." Byakuya says. "Well even if Hiro is dead why did he have to kill Hifumi?!" Hina asks. "Just stop Hina... there's no point in asking that." I said. "Hina, Mondo is right as much as we want to ask him, we can't." Sakura adds. "Ok." Hina sighs. "If you have time to carry on like this you have time to search for your evidence." Byakuya interrupts. "Why hasn't anyone decided to bash your face in already, that's why Makoto and I came to the pool in the first place." I shouted.

"Hey why is there some blood spots in the water, and what's that white stuff, did big tit swimmer girl give you guys something!" Genocide Jack called out. "Wha- big tit swimmer girl!" Hina exclaims. "That's enough out of you." Sakura shouts. "Hey, hey easy. Look despite what she said she might be onto something." I said. "Yeah Mondo's right. I think I see something at the bottom of the deep end at the pool." Makoto exclaims. The two of us rushed to the other side of the pool and since the water was still we could see clearly from the surface. "I can barely tell what that stuff is..."

Before I could say anymore Sakura dives into the pool and grabs it and gives it to Makoto. "Wow, thanks Sakura." Makoto says. "There's no need to thank me." Sakura says. "But don't you need a towel or something to dry off?" I asked. "I'll be fine, I hope this will help you figure out who murdered Hiro and Hifumi." Sakura says as she walks back over to guard Hina from Genocide Jack. Makoto looked at the white stuff and splotches of red on the sticky side. "Wait I think these are bandages." He says, "Hey didn't Hifumi have bandages around his head and hand. Hina and Celeste were in the nurse's office wrapping bandages around his injuries." I said.

Hina and Celeste came over as Makoto showed them the bandages in the pool. "Yeah those were definitely from Hifumi's wounds, he was the only person to have bandages on him, and the wounds he got were severe." Hina exclaims. "The question however is that how did they end up in the pool, and how did they come off, Hina and I made sure to wrap the bandages tight in order to stop the bleeding." Celeste says. "Well that's one thing we still need to figure out." I said. "Everyone, why don't we go back to our original posts, there may be some pieces of evidence in the other rooms that might have been overlooked." Kyoko says. "That's fine we'll leave the pool to Makoto and Mondo, the rest of us will go back to where we were before." Byakuya exclaims.

Everyone began to return to their original posts while Makoto and I stayed in the pool. Everyone left except Kyoko. "Makoto, Mondo, I want to help you guys with the investigation. It looks like I got a late start on this one, so I need to make up some ground. However Mondo has done a great job with helping you investigate." She says. "Well we did make a promise that we would help each other, and Mondo has been a great partner." Makoto says. "Yeah a lot of the physical evidence helps give Makoto a better idea of how the items were used." I said. "I think the three of us should work together, but Kyoko when we have time... will you tell us why you disappeared?" Makoto asks. "No." She says.

Just like that she just said no without even hesitating. "Well why don't we continue? I'll examine Hiro's body further, you've already checked the condition of the costumes, and found the bandages at the bottom of the pool, so why don't you guys check the dolly. We should check to see why it's here in the pool area and not in the equipment room where it came from." She says, "Jeez she sure likes to get to the point, but that has been bothering me, let's go check it out." I said, "Right Mondo, let's take a look." Makoto says.

While Kyoko examined Hiro's body, Makoto and I ran to the dolly that was just sitting next to the locker. Sure enough there were drips of water from the pool but also on the wheels droplets of blood. "So the trail marks from the equipment room match the trail here." Makoto says. "Well why would they bother doing that, it's likely a pain in the ass to get the whole thing from the rec room to the pool area." I said. "That's not the only thing." Kyoko came over. "What did you find Kyoko?" Makoto asks. "It's true as the Monokuma File stated Hiro's cause of death was drowning however he seems to have also suffered blunt force trauma to the head... take a look at the head of the robo justice costume." Kyoko says.

She hands me the top of the robo justice costume, and I look to the back. "Hey there's a huge dent in the back." I exclaimed. "Correct it seems likely that Hiro must have woken up, so the culprit must have used a large object to knock him out while he was still inside the costume." Kyoko explains. "The only thing that matches the dent are all of the Justice Hammers that have been scattered all over the place." Makoto says. "I think that about wrapping up some key pieces of evidence here at the pool. Now if you two don't mind I would like for you guys to take me to the repository so I can examine Hifumi's body." Kyoko says. "Sure but why?" Makoto asks. "Dead bodies don't lie, you know. They tell the truth far more easily than the living. Wouldn't you agree?" She replies. "You didn't have too many friends growing up did you?" I asked. "Anyways we need to hurry back to the repository before the class trial begins." Kyoko replies.

The three of us get up with the pieces of evidence in the pool, and we head up to the third floor and show Kyoko Hifumi's body in the repository. When we got to the repository Kyoko showed no signs of hesitation and started poking around his body. She was absolutely calm and didn't freak out at all, it's like she's done this before. "Well did you find anything?" I asked. "Well I did take a look at Justice Hammer 4... look at it more closely." She says, Kyoko gives me Justice Hammer 4 and I notice some tears on the decoration covering the hammer. "You see, while the hammer has some cracks from when it made impact against the wall, there are some of the colors that are faded in spots. The only way for it to fade is to place it in water." She replies.

Suddenly I take a sniff. "Hey, this hammer has a smell of chlorine too." I said, "Correct which means that this Hammer was in the pool as well, unlike the bandages the culprit had the hammer in hand and was able to get it out of the water." Kyoko replies. "I should also point out that both victims had their e-handbooks on them. I did confirm that despite his being submerged in water for a long period of time, Hiro's handbook was still able to work. Aside from that neither handbooks have anything to do with how the murders were carried out." Kyoko adds. "So you're saying we don't have to think about the handbooks entirely this time?" Makoto asks. "It seems like it, I mean the secret was that they short circuit from heat right, the pool temperature is mostly cold, and I'm pretty sure that their waterproof anyways." I said.

"If you didn't think about them I wouldn't have gone out of my way to mention them, all I said was that they weren't used to help carry out the murders. There maybe a point, however, where the handbooks may play a role." Kyoko says. "I think we'll keep it in mind for now." Makoto says. Soon another bell rang, and sure enough it was Monokuma... so it was almost time. "Are you excited?! Are you pumped?! It's time for the class trial to begin! Like the bright burst of fireworks, like the flash of a soul clashing with life and death...! And so... with no further ado...! Everyone please meet at the usual spot! Make your way to the red door on the first floor of the school. Puhuhu see you soon." The TV turns off and of course the time has come.

"It's unfortunate, but I suppose this is where our investigation comes to an end. You'll have to figure out the rest for yourself and come to the proper conclusion." Kyoko says. "To hell with that, I promised Makoto I was going to help him out however I can and that's exactly what I'm gonna do." I said, "That's not what I meant Mondo... however I can say that this will prove how much you have grown as a person, and you truly are kindhearted as Taka says. So do everything you can to help everyone know the truth." Kyoko says.

Kyoko leaves as we follow her lead to the first floor. "Makoto listen, I know I ain't smart, I'll probably not understand everything you say, but damn it, I'm going to help you out in this trial with everything I've got." I said, "Yeah, I know you will Mondo, you really have been a great partner, Kyoko and Byakuya seem to help but I feel like you've kind of taken Sayaka's place as my helper." Makoto says with a smile. "Damn straight, and while I have a pretty good idea of who this culprit is, we're going to survive this place no matter what." I said.

The two of us nod as we walk into the room. Sure enough everyone was there and waiting. Suddenly two Monokuma's come right the hell out of nowhere but he said that this was an illusion. "Can we just get in the elevator already?" Kyoko asks. Monokuma tried to keep up the shtick but nobody was interested. So we all were prepared to get in the elevator. As hard as it was for everyone we have to do this, the person who killed Hiro and Hifumi is someone in this room, everyone is set on Hiro being the killer but there's no point in blaming him if he's dead. Regardless, I know I have to do everything I can to get through this trial. My bro saved me last time, and I'm not about to let his sacrifice be in vain. I will help Makoto figure out who set this whole goddamn thing up.

We all got in the elevator and began to descend down. I stood against the usual spot with my arms and legs crossed, with Hina to my left near the door and Makoto a little to my right in front of the door. Even though this is the third time we have been doing it, this shit never gets any easier especially since there are less and less people now. Eventually the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened, just like last time the room changed. The difference this time is that the room was bright blue of light and dark blue, the floor was blue, and there was even a crescent moon on the right side of the room.

Monokuma made a comment about how few of us there are, I didn't want to hear that because he probably was getting off of the fact that we were killing each other to continue this sick joke. Sure enough I looked at the room and saw stands and pictures of Hifumi who was in between Toko and Makoto, Hiro who was next to Chihiro and of course my bro who previously was in between Sayaka and Junko.

We got to our assigned seats and we were about to begin the third trial. Bro I made a promise that I would help everyone escape this place, I'm going to help them get out no matter what. So bro, you, Chihiro and everyone who has died watch from there ok, we're going to solve this case.
