Doujutsu VS. Doujutsu

- With Kakashi and Hinata -

Kakashi and Hinata as well as the other samurais that were with them made their way back to the group, they could hear fighting from afar as they were retracing their steps.

Kakashi's gut feeling was right, the moment Hinata saw a "little girl" that suddenly vanished into thin air. He just hoped that they would make it in time to carry out their job, Kakashi then ordered Hinata once more to use her doujutsu to see what was going on ahead of them.

"Byakugan! (All Seeing White Eye)" Hinata said as veins began to appear on her face, she scanned what was going on in the distance. There she saw samurais fighting against a similar foe they faced inside the shack, only this time there were more of them. She looked further ahead and saw one of her teammates fighting against what seemed to be enemy shinobi.

"What do you see Hinata?" Kakashi asked

"T-They're fighting against those… "Things…" As well as multiple shinobi Kakashi-sensei" she replied

"How many are there?" Kakashi asked further

Hinata saw a dozen enemy shinobi and five more E.H. (Exploding Humans for the sake of convenience). This worried Kakashi but what worried him more was this all felt rather familiar to him for he was certain that he saw this somewhere. A gruesome and savage technique that uses humans as some sort of bomb, even the thought of it disgusts him. Sure he saw his fair share of brutal jutsus but this one was one of the worst. But unfortunately, Kakashi just couldn't remember what it was though it was at the tip of his tongue.

They then stepped up their pace so that they could regroup much faster. After a while they were able to return to where they left the group, Hinata was right for there were a handful of enemies around them and it was utter chaos. Though he would surely do his best to complete their mission regardless.

They saw samurais fending off multiple E.H. that were attacking them with weapons of their own, Kakashi lifted up his forehead protector and activated his doujutsu to verify something in his mind. He observed one of the samurais that were fighting one E.H., the E.H. slashed his wakizashi at the samurai but the trained samurai was able to deflect the slash and land one of his own attacks on his foe. The E.H. remained still much like the other E.H. they saw inside the shack, the slashed region of the enemy began to swell and grow in size. After a few moments, the body reached its limit and blew up causing the ground to shake and stain the area red. He noticed that if you were to make the enemy bleed they would cease to move and remain still after which they would blow up after a given amount of time. Kakashi knew there was a way to reverse this technique but he did not know how nor did he have the time to do so. And as much as he wanted to help out those poor people, it just wasn't possible. The only thing that he can do is stop them from hurting more people, though it certainly won't be a pretty sight.

With this information in mind, Kakashi rushed towards the samurais who were in combat, "Get away from them and stop attacking them!' he yelled at the samurais. They didn't question him and did as he said, Kakashi took out shurikens from his pouch and threw them at the E.H.. All projectiles were able to cut them causing them to bleed, they stopped moving and every one of them started to blow up in size until they exploded. "What the fuck is going on?!" one of the samurais asked

"I'm as clueless as you are but there's no time to explain, where are the merchants?" Kakashi asked as he lowered his forehead protector once more to conserve chakra.

"I believe one of your students, the one with a hairstyle that looks like a pineapple. He evacuated them to a secure building though I don't know which one" he replied

Before Kakashi turned to Hinata, she already activated her kekkei genkai to look for a cluster of people within the buildings. This impressed Kakashi for Hinata already knew what she had to do and that she was also showing initiative on her side.

"There! They're hiding in an inn Kakashi-sensei" Hinata replied

"You two, follow my student so that you can guard the merchants while my team and I as well as the others go handle the enemy shinobi" Kakashi ordered the two samurais. They nodded and followed Hinata as she led them to where they needed to be.

- With Shikamaru -

While Shikamaru was guarding the door, he decided to think of a plan if and when he's able to join his team to fight back against those enemy shinobi, not only do they need to ensure the safety of these merchants but they also needed to keep a certain item off the hands of the enemy. Shikamaru knelt on one leg and made a ring using his thumb and index finger on both hands, but someone tried to turn the door's knob as he was about to close his eyes and begin thinking. "Hello? Anyone in there?" the person asked from outside. Shikamaru scoffed as if he was going to open the door that easily. Though Shikamaru anticipated for a situation like this to occur, he took precautionary measures such as closing the curtains and hiding the merchants behind the counter to avoid being spotted. There was no way for him to verify if this person was a friend or foe, this left him with only one option for he was not willing to take a gamble at the cost of the merchant's lives. Shikamaru was behind the door, he took out a kunai from his pouch and saw a person's shadow through the gap underneath the door.

The person continued to turn the knob in an attempt to open the door, some of the merchants whimpered in fear so Shikamaru had to shush them to tell them to keep quiet, "Hijutsu: Kagemane no Jutsu (Hidden Jutsu: Shadow Imitation Technique)" he said as his shadow extended and went through the gap between the door and the floor. Once his shadow connected to the other person's shadow, he quickly opened the door and aimed his kunai at his foe's throat.

"Wait! I-It's us Shikamaru..." Hinata said to him, Shikamaru stopped when he saw Hinata was among them but he kept his kunai pointed at the person he paralyzed. How could he be certain that they were the real deal, he has no intel about them whatsoever. They could be faking to lull him into a false sense of security. A certain amount of paranoia won't hurt anyone. In fact, it's even more beneficial in this situation.

"How can I be sure that all of you are who you claim to be?…" he questioned

"I-It's really us Shikamaru" Hinata argued

"Sorry, but I won't buy that easily… If you're really Hinata, then tell me the answer to this question. What's my dream?…" Shikamaru retorted

"T-That's a trick question… You don't have any" Hinata answered

This answer was enough to satisfy Shikamaru, he thought that there was no way the enemy could know such information about them. He sighed and lowered his kunai as he released his jutsu thus enabling the samurai to move on his own again.

"You know you could've stated that you were with them Hinata. Though knowing me, I would still be skeptical. But still… I almost killed a man for no reason" he replied

"S-Sorry about that… I-It slipped my mind, I honestly thought you were expecting an ally to come" she returned

Shikamaru sighed and decided to let it slide for there was no point in arguing even more. "So where's Kakashi-sensei?…" he asked

"He's already out there fighting t-those shinobi, he told me to lead these samurai to you so that they can guard them" she answered

"I see, well lead the way then now that I can leave these merchants to these samurai. Though I need to tell Kakashi-sensei something…" he said

"W-What is it?…" Hinata asked

"I'll tell you when we regroup with Kakashi-sensei cause it would be a drag to repeat myself

Shikamaru and Hinata then headed to where Kakashi was so that they could regroup and deal with the enemy shinobi. This mission was taking much longer due to the setbacks they kept facing along the way. It's safe to say this mission was a pain in the ass but they still had jobs to carry out either way.

- With Kakashi -

Kakashi was dealing with multiple enemy shinobi and some E.H. here and there, he wondered just how many locals did they use. It was truly despicable what they did, using people as glorified bombs for their own gain. He was surrounded in all directions, this left him with no choice but to use his Sharingan (Copy/Mirror Wheel Eye). Kakashi didn't want to take any chances, one wrong move and he could end up being blown to bits and pieces.

2 E.H. rushed at him with kunais in hand, he had to make sure to get away from the blast radius once he makes any one of them bleed. One of the E.H. slashed his kunai but Kakashi simply blocked it using his own kunai, he followed it with a downward slash using his kunai and then an upward slash finally finishing it off with a spinning kick to the face. Not only did he make the E.H. bleed but also sent it flying into one of the enemy shinobi he was facing, the E.H. landed on top of his foe. As expected, the E.H. remained still as it began to grow in size making it heavier and heavier, the enemy shinobi grunted as he tried to get out of his predicament but it was no use for the E.H. was just too heavy for him. He struggled, squirmed, and even tried slashing the body with a kunai but it was too late. He screamed at the top of his lungs but it was cut off as soon as the body exploded. Turning both bodies into nothing but a mere stain on the ground.

Kakashi sensed another E.H. approaching him from behind, the twisted his body and slashed his kunai at the E.H.'s legs which he then followed by a backflip kick/flash kick thus creating some distance between him and the E.H., Kakashi rushed and quickly formed a Raiton: Chidori (Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds) and thrust his fist that was enveloped in electricity. The impact not only electrocuted the body but it also sent it flying into a tree, the body ceased to move and exploded afterward. The explosion was enough to topple down the tree it hit causing further damage to the forest.

Kakashi reassessed his surroundings to find where the other enemy shinobi were, but he wasn't able to when suddenly paralyzed. 'Kanashibari no Jutsu (Temporary Paralysis Technique)' he thought to himself, he tried to break out of it for he felt a projectile coming his way. The kunai almost hit when out of nowhere another kunai intercepted it thus changing its trajectory, and there Kakashi saw Sasuke landing in front of him.

"Don't die on me yet Kakashi… You've yet to teach me everything about these eyes" Sasuke said to him

Kakashi sighed internally both in relief and disappointment, he was thankful that Sasuke arrived just in time to get him out of his sticky situation but disappointed that Sasuke has yet to learn the value of respecting his superiors. It was something he had to drill into Sasuke's mind if was to rise up through the ranks of Konoha's forces, but that was for another time though.

Sasuke then pumped chakra into his legs as he quickly closed the gap between him and Kakashi's assailant. In a matter of seconds, Sasuke was already in front of his enemy. Much to the misfortune of Sasuke's foe, his reaction time wasn't the best so he couldn't react to Sasuke's flurry of attacks. Sasuke jabbed the man's abdomen causing him to lose his breath, he followed it by a spinning hook kick to his head and a leg sweep into another jab. Sasuke didn't relent though as he continued his combo with another leg sweep using his other leg this time causing the man to stumble backward., Sasuke then ran towards him and performed a jumping spinning heel kick to finish him off. Kakashi was rather impressed at Sasuke's taijutsu, he's not called a prodigy for no reason that's for sure.

"Have you seen the others?" Kakashi asked

"No, I was gonna ask you that as well" Sasuke replied

"I see, well let's look for them then" Kakashi suggested to which Sasuke agreed. But before they were able to look for them, Shikamaru and Hinata landed in front of them.

"There's no need for that, but we have to move quick Kakashi-sensei" Shikamaru said

"Why is that?" Kakashi questioned

"They're after an item that the merchants have in one of their wagons, they call it Eiyu no Mizu (Hero Water)" Shikamaru answered

"Hero Water?…" Hinata asked

"It's some sort of special drink that Takigakure produces every one-hundred years, it grants tremendous amounts of chakra. Not only that, but it also has healing capabilities" Shikamaru simply regurgitated what the merchants told him earlier.

Kakashi then asked why the merchants possessed such an item, Shikamaru simply told him the long and short of it as there wasn't enough time to retell the entire explanation.

Kakashi decided to not question it further as they needed to move quickly now that they have a new mission at hand, and that was to secure the Hero's Water.

"I see… Let's head to the wagons then, we'll deal with the enemies we encounter along the way. This item must stay out of the enemies' hands" Kakashi ordered to which his students nodded

- At The Wagons -

Multiple enemies were rummaging through the stuff that was inside the wagons in search of a specific item they were looking for, they haphazardly tossed items they weren't looking for thus leaving the insides in disarray.

"Where the fuck is it?!…" one of the enemies said

"How should I know?!… It could be in any one of these crates for all I know…" another person argued

"Just shut up and keep looking!" the third one yelled

They broke various crates and locks as well as emptied tons of bags to no avail, "We're never going to find it at this rate if we don't even know what the item fucking looks like!" one of the men complained as he threw the suitcase he just emptied. The suitcase landed on the wooden floor and it made a sound as if there was one last item inside the container. This caught his attention for he was certain he emptied the bag before tossing the bag, he then grabbed a kunai from his pouch and sliced the suitcase open only to reveal a hidden compartment inside. Inside was a scroll with a seal on it, it looked like it contains something of value. Why would even someone go through such lengths to hide something if it doesn't hold any value?

"I think I found it!" the man exclaimed

"Great! Now let's get the fuck outta here before th-" his sentence was cut off as he was paralyzed. "Hijutsu: Kagemane no Jutsu (Hidden Technique: Shadow Possession Jutsu)" Shikamaru said as he successfully attached his shadow onto them, he was able to capture two out of the three enemies but couldn't catch the third one for he was farther away and was able to react accordingly.

Two kunais then embedded themselves into the foreheads of those who were paralyzed thus eliminating them swiftly, Sasuke then sprinted towards the third one to retrieve the stolen scroll. But unfortunately for him, a new enemy landed in front of him with his head looking down on the floor.

"Sorry but I can't let you pass kid" the man said and smirked

"Well let's see about that" Sasuke said as he continued to sprint towards the man as he activated his Sharingan (Copy/Mirror Wheel Eye)

The man then raised his and stared at Sasuke, 'An Uchiha huh? Who would've thought that a single Uchiha was able to survive after their clan's massacre? Now this would certainly be fun' the man thought to himself, he then activated his doujutsu. His eyes were blood-red while his pupils were pitch black and sported a purple horizontal slit.

This surprised Sasuke but it did not faze him at all as he pressed on, he jumped into the air and spun around to add more momentum to his kick. The man simply stood still and made eye contact with Sasuke causing him to stumble to the ground, "Pathetic… You think your eyes are enough as it is? The hubris of your clan amuses me" the man said

Sasuke was shocked that his body was moving on its own accord, he then took out another kunai from his pouch and aimed it at his own throat. Sasuke realized he was under some sort of genjutsu that forces him to do the user's bidding. He resisted the genjutsu with all his might but the tip of the kunai was getting closer and closer. Sasuke then took a deep breath and concentrated on his training, "Kai! (Release)" Sasuke said as he disrupted his chakra flow before the kunai punctured his throat. Once he was free from the man's influence, he dashed back to regroup with his teammates.

"Did you secure the package?" the man said to the man behind him who was holding a scroll

"Y-Yes sir…" the other man replied

"Good, now get the fuck out of here. I'll handle them" he said

The man then nodded and started to run away. As much as they wanted to pursue the guy fleeing away, they just couldn't because they still had an enemy in front of them. Sasuke tried to make a run for it once again, the man saw this and was about to stop Sasuke until suddenly Kakashi appeared in front of him

"Sorry I'm late kids, catch the other one and I'll handle him" Kakashi said to his students. Shikamaru, Sasuke, and Hinata nodded at one another as they sprinted toward their target.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan, the man who copied a thousand jutsus. I didn't expect to see you here let alone the last Uchiha" the man said to him

"I do not know who you are but I have seen those eyes somewhere" he replied

"I'm Atsushi of the Chinoike Clan and these eyes? That fact that you can't remember what my eyes are called saddens me but let me show you the power of the Ketsuryugan!" the man said.

It finally hit Kakashi as he remembered the Ketsuryugan (Blood Dragon Eye), a well-known eye of the Chinoike Clan that was active during the warring states period in Kaminari no Kuni (Land of Lightning). A kekkei genkai that rivals the Sharingan in terms of genjutsu and versatility, its brutal and savage jutsus were the thing that sets it apart from the others. He also wondered what was a member of the Chinoike Clan doing here in Kawa no Kuni (Land of Rivers) but that was a thought for another time though.

Atsushi then stared at Kakashi in an attempt to put him under a genjutsu. But to his dismay, Kakashi was able to foil his plan before it even hit him using his prowess at using the Sharingan.

"It seems like using genjutsus is out of the table then… I guess I'll have to resort to this" he said as he slit his wrist

Blood dripped from Atsushi's hands and onto the ground, he then made a single hand seal causing two nearby corpses to twitch and shake. "Ketton: Saifon (Blood Release: Siphon)" he said as blood began to ooze out of the dead bodies making them shrivel and look paler, Atsushi continued to drain all the blood until there wasn't any left. "Ketton: Blood Tendrils (Blood Release: Blood Tendrils)" he said as he formed the ball of blood into tendrils, the man shot the tendrils at Kakashi by extending its length in mere seconds.

Kakashi dashed backward to avoid being caught, he was successful in doing so but then he saw the tendrils hit a nearby tree. The weapon destroyed the tree with ease, after seeing that he sure as hell didn't want to be hit by those.

Atsushi then retracted the tendrils and reformed them back into a ball of blood, "Ketton: Blood Hound no Jutsu (Blood Release: Blood Hound Technique)" he said as the ball of blood turned into two feral dogs made out of the blood he siphoned. The dogs then chased after Kakashi while snarling ferociously, Kakashi dashed backward, flipped, and somersaulted to put some distance between him and the dogs. Kakashi threw shurikens at the dogs while he was dodging but none of the projectiles hit for it simply passed through them.

Atsushi chases down Kakashi with the use of his literal bloodhounds, little is known about the Ketsuryugan (Blood Dragon Eye) which made it difficult for Kakashi to come up with a plan to defeat his opponent. As he was running away from Atsushi's dogs, Kakashi realized that the path he was taking was being dictated by Atsushi himself. He was being led to where there are tons of corpses, Kakashi was now back in the small town.

"Witness the strength of the blood that flows within you Kakashi!" he said as he began to siphon all the blood from his dead allies, deceased samurais as well as the remnants of the E.H. that exploded during the chaos.

Once Atsushi accumulated all the blood he can gather, he split the ball of blood in half. Using the first half, he converted the blood into raw chakra to strengthen himself. Using the second half, he used it to perform various blood-related jutsus.

"Ketton: Doka Shimasu no Jutsu (Blood Release: Assimilation Technique)" Atsushi said as blood began to seep into his body thus increasing his speed and strength. "Ketton: Sanguine Arms (Blood Release: Sanguine Arms)" he said, blood then clung onto his arms. This jutsu allows him to form the blood into any type of weapon/arm he needs with just a single thought.

In response to this, Kakashi formed the following hand seals: Monkey - Dragon - Rat - Bird - Ox - Snake - Dog - Tiger - Monkey, after which a high-pitched sound could be heard which resembled a thousand birds chirping. Lightning was enveloped around his hands, it was jittering and crackling. "Sic him" Atsushi said to his bloodhounds, after which they ran towards Kakashi.

Kakashi ran towards the hounds to quickly close the gap between them, once they were in range then he would take them down, Kakashi thrust his fist into the first hound causing it to explode and scatter blood everywhere, he then ran towards the second and doing the same. Atsushi smirked and did a hand seal once more, "Ketton: Blood Tendrils (Blood Release: Blood Tendrils)". Tendrils made of blood emerged from the ground where blood was scattered, once they were formed they then targeted Kakashi to incapacitate him. Kakashi performed a series of Kawarimis (Body Replacement Technique) and Shunshins (Body Flicker Technique) to get out of danger.

"I'm not yet finished! Ketton: Senbon Chiame! (Blood Release: Senbon Blood Rain)" Atsushi released a barrage of senbons made out of blood to shower Kakashi with it. "Doton: Asudomo (Earth Release: Earth Dome)" Kakashi said as he placed his palm on the ground thus creating a protective dome made of solid earth. None of the senbons were able to penetrate through Kakashi's dome, Atsushi gritted his teeth and approached the dome made of earth. He reformed the blood on his arms to form a lance so that he could pry open the dome. "It took a couple of hits before he was able to break through the dome and there he saw that Kakashi was nowhere to be found. Atsushi then felt a presence coming from behind, he smirked thinking that he has the upper hand. He turned around and quickly stabbed Kakashi using his blood lance thus piercing it in his body but to his dismay, he just stabbed a clone.

"Raiton: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Lightning Release: Shadow Clone Technique)" Kakashi said as his clone electrocuted Atsushi, the process behind this was that lightning simply used the blood as a conductor because blood is essentially water at its very core, and water is an excellent conductor of electricity. Another good conductor of electricity is the human body since Atsushi's arm was connected to the very blood that electricity was flowing through. He received a powerful shock causing him to be temporarily paralyzed.

While Atsushi was incapacitated, the real Kakashi came out of hiding from within the doom using a combination of Meisaigakure no Jutsu (Hiding With Camouflage Technique) and Chakra Henso no Jutsu (Chakra Disguise Technique). The combination of these two jutsus not only allowed Kakashi to be invisible but also hid his chakra signature from Atsushi to avoid being detected.

Kakashi ran at him and performed a spinning back kick to his face followed by a leg sweep to a knee kick sending him up in mid-air. He jumped and twirled around to deliver another kick using his heel which sent him down to the ground. The force was strong enough that it was able to make him bounce off of it, he continued his combo by doing a series of left and right roundhouse kicks and topped it all off with a powerful spinning kick. Atsushi was sent tumbling across the ground after Kakashi's impressive kick, Atsushi then got up once more and stared down at Kakashi.

He gritted his teeth at the prospect of having difficulties dealing with another Sharingan (Copy/Mirror Wheel Eye) user, adding more fuel to his rage was the fact that Kakashi only had one Sharingan for that matter. Not accepting defeat easily, he dissolved his blood lance and used some of the blood from it to heal his injuries. "Ketton: Chi no Iyashi no Jutsu (Blood Release: Blood Healing Technique)" with this technique, Atsushi had to sacrifice a portion of the blood he was using to create jutsu in exchange for healing the damage he has taken. All of his wounds and bruises vanished as if they were there in the first place, Atsushi smirked in satisfaction as he prepared for round two.

Kakashi stood his ground in anticipation of Atsushi's move, his opponent ran at him and formed a series of hand seals, "Ketton: Chi Shuriken no Jutsu (Blood Release: Blood Shuriken Technique)" he said as a barrage of shurikens were aimed at him. Kakashi flipped and turned to dodge most of the projectiles, though one was coming at him and he didn't have enough time to dodge it so he was forced to block it. Atsushi smirked at Kakashi's futile attempt, Kakashi attempted to intercept the shuriken with the use of his kunai but the projectile passed through his kunai and reformed after thus cutting Kakashi's cheek.

Kakashi stepped back and touched his cheek to assess the injury, at first he thought it wasn't that serious for it was simply a shallow cut not until he felt chakra seeping into his system, 'Chakra is entering my system…' he thought to himself. He then felt a pang of pain in his stomach.

"It's over Kakashi, too bad your Sharingan can't get you out of this one" he said as he saw Kakashi's cheek swell in size, his body blew up like a balloon as well. Moments later, Kakashi was nothing but a big ball of blood and guts. The ball reached its limit and exploded causing it to rain blood and guts, Atsushi was satisfied with the results and thus he walked away.

"So that's how you make those exploding humans huh?" Atsushi heard Kakashi's voice, this shocked him thinking that there was no way Kakashi would have survived that. He was then brought back to reality and there he saw Kakashi behind him with a kunai at his throat. Kakashi simply used Utakata (Ephemeral) when he and Atsushi were staring down each other after his combo.

"The Sharingan?!" Atsushi said to him

"Sorry, it's nothing personal" Kakashi said as he slit Atsushi's throat thus ending him once and for all.

Kakashi sighed and looked around his area to see that the fighting was coming to a stop, he saw other enemies fleeing from the battle but most of them were dead. Their group faced minimal losses but it was still a shame that some of them died in the line of duty though Kakashi has accepted that fact a long time ago, for death was part of their jobs and it's up to them to make sure that they'll live to see another day.

(A/N: Wow another case of writer's block haha sorry bout that, most of the jutsus Atsushi used were either from fanon stuff or stuff I made up since Chino (an actual character in Sasuke Hiden Light Novel) barely used any jutsus, all that was in the wiki was the blood dragon jutsu but that can be done with tons of blood like in the Valley of Hell. I wanted to use that but the blood inside a human body is not enough to support that jutsu even if there were tons of bodies cause a human body simply has 1.2 - 1.5 gallons haha whereas the anime or novel had more than that so yeah, there was also this morphing jutsu where the user can pretend to be someone else, I implemented that so try and figure out in what part I did it. Message me your answer if you'd like so yea haha. The only jutsus I could use were the Exploding Human and Genjutsu of the Ketsuryugan which had no name. So yeah sorry for the wait, it was just hard for me to implement this doujutsu though I wanted to include it also I already committed to it so yeah, there's a part two to this and that's about the student's pursuit mission)
