"So what is it that bothers you about this place?" Alex asked as she and Harris walked round the outside of a building.
"Don't you sense it?" He asked.
"What?"
"That we are being watched." He said looking round.
"Watched from where?" Alex asked.
"Don't know." He said. "But something is going down here."
"We can set up surveillance." Alex said.
"But there's no proof of anything happening. I could be wasting everyone's time. It's bad enough I am wasting yours."
"You're gut has a good track record." Alex reminded him.
"Thanks. You mind if we do another walk round?"
"Sure." Alex said following him once more round the building, again not finding anything suspicious.
"Sorry, looked like I wasted your time." Harris apologised once they had made it back to the front of the building.
"It's okay." Alex said. "Let's call it a day and we can discuss surveillance tomorrow." She said as they walked to the cars. Seeing her tyre had been slashed she muttered.
"Sorry." Harris apologised as he checked his own car. "I'll give you ride home and sort out the repair."
"Thanks. I'll just grab my things." Alex said opening her car door and leaning in to grab her bag. As she leaned in she felt something in her back before moments before she felt pain and her body started to spasm before she passed out.

"What's going on?" Alex asked groggily as she woke up. Sitting up she saw her hands were cuffed and she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. Looking round she moved her cuffed hands to her shoulder and saw a blood stained bandage.
"They took your tracker." A familiar voice said from her other side.
"Harris?" Alex asked looking round. Seeing how bruised and dirty and ill he looked she asked. "What did they do to you?"
"Interrogation." He said wheezing.
"How long have we been here?" Alex asked, worried by how long she had been out for, for Harris to get that beaten up.
"You an hour or so. But I've been here for two weeks."
"No you haven't." Alex said. "You were at work."
"That wasn't me. They can shape shift. They took my identity and now they are you."
"What?" Alex asked.
"Whoever got me is a shapeshifter. After they brought you in here, they took on your identity instead." He said, his breathing laboured.
Trying not to panic over what that might mean for MJ and her niece she looked at Harris and asked.
"What do they want?"
"Access codes and security protocols as well as background info. But I didn't tell them anything." He said as the door opened.
"Director Danvers." Someone who looked identical to Alex said walking into the room.
"Who are you?" Alex asked.
"I'm Director Alex Danvers." The body double said.
"No one will believe you."
"I look like you. I speak like you. I have your tracker. I have an extensive dossier on you. I am you."
"Why?" Alex asked.
"I need information. We weren't going to do this yet, but an opportunity arose. Now there are two ways to do this, the hard way or the easy way. Either way you will never escape. Too many questions if you do." The body double said before taking out a gun and shooting Harris.
"No." Alex screamed looking at the dead body.
"He has served his purpose. If anyone found him it would cause problems." The body double said before changing form and looking like Harris before in a male voice saying. "But don't worry, tomorrow morning I will phone in with mumps. No one will know for a couple of weeks that Harris is dead." The then shape shifted back into Alex and smiled before adding. "Like I was saying an easy way and a hard way."
"I won't talk." Alex said.
"I thought you'd say that." The double said before two men entered the room and yanked Alex up and placed her cuffed hands onto a hook, which was dangling from the ceiling. "I have no issues with torture. In fact I enjoy it." The body double said striking Alex. "But think, everything I do to you I can do to dear sweet MJ." The double added smiling as she struck Alex several more times.

Feeling weaker and weaker Alex knew her chance of escape was exponentially decreasing. She had already tried and failed several times, the result of which was more beatings and a more vigilant guard. But she refused to give up, especially when her son and niece were in danger.
Following a failed attempt that had made use of the spoon they provided with her meals they simply stopped bringing her food and any potential weapons. She was in too much pain to be hungry, but she new the starvation was making her weak and her chance of winning a fight was gone. However, with each passing hour the guards were seeing her a less of a threat.
As she tried to figure out what to do she heard voices from beyond the door. Shutting her eyes she focused on the conversation.
"We have to move her out of the city." The first voice said.
"That's a huge risk." The second countered.
"Well now Supergirl is back she might be able to hear her. So gag her, knock her out and we'll move her." The first explained.
"We should kill her now." A third voice said.
"They aren't our orders." The first said. "The van will be here soon."
On hearing her sister was bag Alex suddenly felt a burst of energy. Opening her eyes again Alex new it was now or never. Half of her was tempted to scream for her sister, hoping she would hear the scream. But she knew not even Kara would be able to get to her before her guards dealt with the noise. So instead she went back to the brick wall to the side. When she had had the spoon she had dug at the mortar trying to loosen a brick. Once the spoon was taken she continued with her nails until she had no nails left. But the brick was the only weapon she could think of.
Ignoring the pain in her finger tips she scratched at the mortar and tugged at the brick she had been targeting until finally it came loose. Just as she extracted it from the wall she heard footsteps approach the door.
Torn between standing by the door and striking immediately or lying on the floor and striking when they got to her, for a moment Alex didn't nothing. Then suddenly making her mind up she stood by the door.
"Wakey wakey." A male voice said opening the door. "Now why are you-" He started only to have the brick smashed down on his head.
Crouching by his body Alex looked for weapons but found none, so instead picked up the brick again and waited for the next guards to enter. Hearing nothing Alex changed her mind and walked out of the room. Seeing no one she limped down the corridor wondering where everyone was.
In front of her she saw an old window which between the dirt and grime was allowing sunlight in. Feeling relief she could see the outside, but fear over the fact she had no idea what floor she was on she looked round for steps. Seeing none she decided route one was the only way. She started to limp towards the window only to hear shouting behind her. Moments before there was the crack of gun fire.
Feeling the burn as the bullet went through her leg she stumbled and fell through the window onto the street below.
Ignoring the pain she stumbled to her feet and limped down the street, her vision too blurred to see what was ahead of her and her ears only making out indistinct sounds of screams and cars.
Knowing there was a danger behind her she kept moving forward until her progress was abruptly halted by something big and metal hitting her from the side. She was aware of a momentarily flying sensation before hitting the ground hard. Despite the pain she knew she had to make it home and tried to get up, only to find several hands holding her down, telling her to stay still.
