Chapter 7 A Shocking Grocery Run!
"What do you mean you're back at Kanto?" Golly asks. "So Brother and I will be the only ones at home?"
"Sorry about that, I am having a meeting with the Elite Four and the Gym Leaders, so I won't be home tonight." Aurora says. "But don't worry, I'm sure that with the butlers and the maids there, you won't be starving."
In Ash's house, there are 3 butlers and 3 maids, the head butler is called Paris while the head maid is Jane. The other butlers and the maids are named Deigo, Ronald, Judy, and Vivian.
Ash says, "Yeah... But we're supposed to go to the shopping mall today..."
"I guess we should stay home and train..." Golly sighs.
After ending the call, Ash and Golly are now in the living room having snacks and discussing. "So what kind of training do you think we should do?"
"I think it might be great to capture new Pokemon." Golly replies.
Just then, Rowlet falls from the top of the bookshelf and lands on Ash, causing some books to fall onto them and the orange juice also drenches their clothes.
"Oh man..." Golly mutters. "Now my clothes are orange juice..."
"The expansion rate of that stain is at 25% each on you!" Rotom says.
The maids and butlers also rush in and take care of the mess, while Paris asks, "Are you two alright?"
"Don't worry, Paris. We're fine." Ash says. "But I think we need a new set of clothes..."
"That won't be a problem. Just leave everything to us." Paris says as they are brought to their rooms to change their clothes. Ash says, "Having maids and butlers in the family feel so unreal for me..."
Pikachu nods, "We're not used to this kind of life after all..."
After changing clothes, Ash and Golly are back in the living room, and they see Rotom taking pictures of Rowlet. Ash notices the butlers and the maids finish cleaning the room and Ash says, "Sorry to make a mess...we should've been more careful."
"Do not worry." Jane says. "What matters is that both of you are safe."
Just then, a bang appears and Paris yells, "What's going on?"
"The washing machine is a mess!" One of the butlers says.
"Who did that?" Paris yells as Ash and Golly decide to check it out, only to slip on the floor because of the emergency. "How did this happen..." Ash mutters.
Then they notice Paris scolding Vivian, since she was the one who made the mess. She admits that she accidentally put too much detergent into the washing machine. Ash says, "Please don't scold her. Everyone makes mistakes."
"Yeah. We're all a family, so please stop." Golly says.
Paris says, "You two are really nice, but this isn't the first time she's made the mistake."
Vivian lowers her head, but Ash says, "Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll be doing great next time."
"Thank you, master Ash..." Vivian mutters.
Just then, Ronald rushes toward them and he says, "Paris, we are out of food for dinner."
"Are you serious?" Paris mutters, and Ash says, "That means we can go to the Shopping Mall to buy some, right?"
"Yeah, I want to check out the place." Golly says.
After asking if Ronald can bring them, the others agree to let them go there. After separating from the mall, Ash and Golly are walking around the place. "This place is really huge!"
Rotom looks at the shopping map and he says, "There are all kinds of stores."
Golly says, "So where should we go first?"
Before they can say something, they notice Sophocles with Togedemaru. "Sophocles! And Togedemaru as well!"
"Ash?" Sophocles notices them and he is surprised.
"Alola." Golly says. "Are you shopping as well?"
"Well...yeah..." Then Togedemaru greets Pikachu enthusiastically, causing him to be uncomfortable. "No Togedemaru!"
"Looks like Pikachu has a fan." Ash says.
"Togedemaru, the Roly-Poly Pokémon. An Electric and Steel type. Its ability to generate electricity is weak, but its long needle acts as a lightning rod, so it can attract lightning and store the electricity. When happy, it forms a ball and rolls around. But once it starts rolling, it can't control itself."
"So it has the ability Lightning Rod..." Golly says.
After Togedemaru crashes from its uncontrollable rolling, Ash asks, "So what are you shopping for?"
"Well, I want...ice cream and stuff..." Sophocles says.
"Ice cream! I want some as well!" Ash says.
"Me too!" Golly says.
Then they all find a seat and purchase some ice cream, Ash says, "This is great! I have never had ice cream this good before."
"I know, right? I think it is the best ice cream in all of Alola!" Sophocles says. "They use the highest quality milk and vanilla beans, sparing no expense! And they are all exclusive, hand-made products!"
"You know, it also tastes better with the Malasadas." Golly says while putting her ice cream on it. "And I heard that it was sold very fast, so we're lucky to get some."
"Yeah. Malasadas are also great as well." Ash says.
Sophocles says, "By the way, there is something I can show you." He takes out a homemade device and shows Ash and Golly a program he had created, called the "Togedemaru Training Program".
"Wow, that's awesome." Ash says.
"A training program? How fascinating! I'd like to see the data." Rotom says.
"I'll show you, if you'll allow me to dissect and analyze you." Sophocles gives Rotom an evil smile, causing him to panic. "I refuse!"
After finishing eating, they are walking around and Sophocles says, "So you're here with your butler, who is trying to buy some food for dinner?"
"Yeah. But I think we should meet up with Ronald..." Ash says.
Just then, the doors are closing, much to their surprise, and it separates Rotom, Pikachu, Togedemaru from the others. Ash yells, "Pikachu! Rotom!"
"What happened?" The crowd is also panicked, and Ash tries to knock on the door to know what is going on.
"Maybe we should tackle the door..." Golly says.
"Stop! You can't just break the shopping mall's property!" Sophocles says.
"But..." Then a staff comes and he tells the crowd that there is a machine malfunction that caused all the shutter doors to close. Right now they are investigating the cause.
Just then, the lights go off, and Sophocles is panicking. "I-I-It's dark! I'm scared!"
Then he starts to run around and Golly asks, "Sophocles? What are you doing?"
And Sophocles bumps into Ash, causing him to fall down, and Rowlet, who is in Ash's backpack, is also suffocating because of the pressure he is getting. After the lights go back on, Sophocles panics, "I'm sorry, Ash!"
"Don't worry. Sophocles, are you afraid of the dark?" Ash asks.
"No, it just caught me off guard for a second!" Sophocles says. "I'm totally fine. I mean, at night, I'm not scared at all because Togedemaru is there with me."
"Well then, we'd better meet back up with Togedemaru and the others as soon as possible." Golly says.
Then they decide to ask the security guard for more information. "How long are the shutters open again?"
The guard says that he's trying, but Sophocles decides to help out by using his invention for the system analysis.
"Looks like the only solution here is to reboot the entire system." Sophocles says.
"The main controls are in the power supply room." The guard replies.
"Looks like it's up to us." Ash says, causing Sophocles to be shocked. "Are we even allowed to do that?"
Golly yells, "Pikachu, Rotom! How are you doing?"
Rotom says, "We're fine! I just got the map to the power supply room!"
"I knew we could count on you!" Golly says. "Let's meet in the power supply room!"
Later, Rotom opens an air vent, to which Pikachu climbs up easily but Togedemaru is having trouble reaching. Pikachu lowers its tail to assist Togedemaru, only for Rotom to carry Togedemaru up there.
"Now turn right!" Sophocles yells, and they do it, but Ash hits a door.
"Brother!" Golly says. "Are you sure this is the right way?"
"Huh?" Sophocles asks in confusion. They try again, only for Ash to run into another door, and a third attempt leaves Ash hitting another door. And after the third time, Ash says, "I've had enough..."
"Geez..." Golly says. "This one is shut as well!"
"It's strange...it shouldn't be..." Sophocles says while looking at the data.
"What's going on here? Explain now, Sophocles!" Ash yells.
"Don't blame me! I'm just looking at what the map says!" Sophocles yells back.
Golly notices the door shutting and yells, "I think the shutters are continuing to shut the places! We have to get out of here now!"
They run to get under the door but Sophocles trips and falls, only for Ash and Golly to pull Sophocles through. Golly says, "I gues that explains why Sophocles' data has been a little wrong..."
"I guess it is no time to argue right now..." Ash says.
As they continue to run, they manage to get to the roof, and they also meet up with Pikachu and Togedemaru, who are hanging onto a wall.
"Pikachu! Togedemaru!" Ash yells.
"Why are they there?" Golly asks.
Rotom comes and he says, "Togedemaru slips and Pikachu tried to save them, but..."
"Rowlet, save them right now!" Ash says.
"Don't just stand there as well, Rotom! You have Levitate! Save them!" Golly says.
Both Pokemon are saving Pikachu and Togedemaru as they are back on the ground. Then Togedemaru starts to nuzzle Pikachu as they are on the ground.
"Looks like you two make a good team, I guess." Golly says.
"I guess so..." Pikachu says.
"Togedemaru is a girl, though." Sophocles says, causing him to flinch a little, that he knows about Pikachu and his love for Lillie's Sylveon, and Ash sighs, "But they can still make a good team."
"By the way, shouldn't we go to the power supply room?" Golly asks.
Then they quickly rush there and solve the whole problem. Once they are done, they are back at the entrance.
"Good thing everyone got out okay." Sophocles says.
"Yeah. We can do anything if we work together." Ash adds.
"There you are, Master Ash and Lady Golly!" They turn to see Ronald, their butler, rushing toward them. Ash says, "Ronald! Glad to see you again!"
"I've been looking for you too, the whole mall was a mess because of the lights and the shutters. I'm glad both of you are safe." Ronald says.
"We're sorry. By the way, I bought the food that we need." Ronald says as he shows the bag.
"That sure is a lot of food..." Golly comments. "By the way, Sophocles, do you want to come with us? Our head maid Jane is a good chef."
"Really? I'll ask my mom about it." Sophocles says. "Can they make a huge grill with a huge side helping of potato chips?"
"That won't be a problem." Ronald says.
"Sounds like I want to have them as well!" Ash says as they all head back to their house.
And here is a new chapter, as you can see, Ash and Golly are not living with Professor Kukui just like in the anime, and they are also some sort of royalties like Lillie's family. And here are all the names of the maids and butlers in Ash's home, and they will be given more appearances in the future chapters. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be about Litten.
