THEY SPLIT up, Andy, Jake and Georgie heading into one room and Ava and Sam heading into another.
"So, you're like the two in the other room?" Jake asks her. "You have visions?"
"Yeah, except mine work a little differently from theirs," she explains. "I only see specific flashes and they mostly just come at night."
"So, what did you see happen here?"
She's saved from answering by Andy.
"You guys! I found something!"
Sam and Ava come in to see, too. Andy is holding up two bags.
"Salt!"
"That's great, Andy. Now we all can... Where's Lily?"
"And Imogine?"
"Lily?" Ava calls.
"Imogine!" Georgie yells.
They hear a little girl giggling nearby. They all rush outside. At the top of the water tower, Lily is hanging from a noose, dead. Imogine lays dead at the base. Georgie buries her face in Sam's chest and Ava screams.
"Oh my God! Okay, that's officially- Sam they're dead! They're dead! You said we were chosen for a reason. That is not chosen! That's killed! Okay, we have to get out of here."
"Stop," Sam barks.
"Yeah, I second that emotion," Andy says, siding with Ava.
"Not sure that's an option," Jake mumbles.
"What?" Ava squeaks.
"Lily was trying to leave," Sam explains. "And I think she touched Imogine because Imogine was trying to stop her. The demon's not gonna let us get away that easy. We've gotta gear up for the next attack."
"Oh, gear up?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, well, I'm not a soldier. I can't do that!"
"Well, if you wanna stay alive, you're gonna have to. Let's go."
"I'll get her down," Jake volunteers.
He heads over to get Lily from the top of the water tower while Andy, Sam, and Georgie stand on the front porch of one of the buildings. Ava went inside to take a breather.
"You know, I was just thinking about how much Dean would help right now," Sam voices. "I'd give my arm for a working phone."
"You know, you may not need one," Andy says. "I've never tried long distance before, but do you have anything of Dean's on you? Like, something he touched?"
Georgie backs off briefly so Sam can search his pockets.
"Uh... I've got a receipt. Would that work?"
"Yeah," Andy nods, looking at the signature on the receipt. "D. Hasselhoff?"
"Yeah, that's Dean's signature... It's hard to explain."
"Alright."

Andy says he got through, and they just have to take his word for it and hope that Dean shows up. Late that night, the entire group is in one room, silent. Georgie is struggling to stay awake, head nodding closer and closer to Sam's shoulder. And then she sees Ben Stevens in the corner behind Jake- and his eyes are glowing yellow.
"Howdy, Georgina. What do you say you and I take a little walk?"
Since she's dreaming and is the only one who can see him, she follows him outside.
"You're awfully quiet, Georgina. You're not mad at me, are you?"
"I'm gonna tear you to shreds, I swear to-"
"When you wake up, tiger, you give it your best shot."
"Why leave me there when you were going to bring me here the whole time?"
"Isn't it obvious?" he asks, stopping. "All of this, everything I've done, is to prepare you. Big plans for you, Georgina Mae. Big plans indeed."
"What plans?"
"You're the one I'm rooting for," he smiles at her. "Welcome to the Miss America Pageant. Why do you think you're here? This is a competition. Only one of you crazy kids is gonna make it out of here alive."
"But I'm-"
"Different from the others? Yes, I know. I really don't like playing favorites... Just kidding. I do. What I need is one person to be a leader."
"To lead who?"
"Oh, I've already got my army. Or, I will soon, anyway. You know, I'm surprised you hadn't guessed. I mean, why do you think so many have flamed out already? Max Miller and Andy's brother, what's-his-name? And now Lily and your sister Imogine."
"You son of a bitch."
"That's really no way to talk to your father, Georgina."
"You're not my father."
"No, you're right, I'm not. But I am wearing your father. Anyway, I've been looking for the best and brightest, and initially my focus was on Sam's generation. I was rooting for him, initially. But then I found out about you and your sister and I just had to get you in on it, too. You're tough. You're smart. You're well-trained thanks to your daddy. Georgina- Georgie- you're my favorite."
"You ruined my life," she snarls. "You killed everyone I love."
"The cost of doing business, I'm afraid," he sighs. "Your mother and siblings- they just had to die. I mean, your brothers were just bad luck, caught in the crossfire. But your mother... she tried to stop me, and I needed you sharp, on the road, honing your skills."
"You didn't kill Jessica just to get Sam hunting again. You did it to get me out there, too."
"See, this is why you're my favorite."
There's a pause and then she realizes something.
"Wait, what do you mean my mom tried to stop you?"
"Well... okay. You caught me in a charitable mood. I'll show you."
The demon snaps his fingers, and suddenly they're standing in Georgie's bedroom at her old house.
"Look familiar? It should."
A twelve year old Georgie is sitting on the bed staring up at her father, who's eyes are glowing yellow.
"Wait, I don't remember-"
"Shh, just watch the show. This is just a hi-def instant replay."
Her father slits his own wrist with one of his nails and offers it to the young Georgie. She grabs onto it to keep it in place and then lowers her mouth onto it, sucking the blood.
"What is-? What are you doing to me?" the older Georgie demands, turning to face the demon beside her.
"Demon blood... it's one of the sweetest substances known to man, ironically."
"Wait... So does that mean I have demon blood in me?"
The demon just chuckles.
"Answer me!"
Just then, Heidi Stevens walks in the room and stops short when she sees what's happening.
"Ben, what are you... It's you."
Her eyes widen as she sees his eyes.
"She knew you?" Georgie questions.
The demon who's still feeding the younger Georgie blood flicks his other wrist and she goes flying.
"I don't think you want to see the rest of this," the present demon says, and snaps his fingers again.
She jolts awake in the abandoned South Dakota house next to Sam. Jake is yelling at them.
"Guys, wake up! Ava's missing."

While they split up to look for Ava, she returns to the room where Andy has stayed behind. She walks over and breaks the salt line on the windowsill.
"Ava, where'd you go?" Andy asks her. "Didn't you hear us yelling?"
"Yeah, I heard you."
She stares at him for a moment, then puts her hands to her head in concentration. A cloud of black smoke appears outside the window and slips in via the spot Ava broke in the salt line.
"What are you doing?" Andy queries.
The black smoke materializes into the little girl from before.
"Holy..."
The demon girl kills Andy and then disappears back out the window. Ava stares at the corpse, amused, and then opens her mouth and screams. Sam and Georgie hurry back inside.
"Sam, Georgie! I just found him like this!" she points at the body.
"What happened?" Sam demands.
"I don't know!" Ava shakes her head.
"How'd that thing get in? Where were you?" Georgie asks.
"I just went to get some water from the well. I was only gone maybe, like, two minutes!"
"You shouldn't have gone outside. Ava, we have to stay in here-" Sam cuts himself off as he spots the break in the salt line and points. "Who did that?"
"I don't know, maybe Andy-" Ava shrugs.
"Andy wouldn't do that. Ava, that line wasn't broken when we left. Ava."
"What, you think that I-"
"I'll tell you what I think: five months. You're the only one with all that time you can't account for. And that headache you got? Right when the demon got Lily."
"What are you trying to say?"
"What happened to you?"
"Nothing!"
Sam stares her down while Georgie stands a step behind him, arms crossed over her chest, waiting. A minute later, Ava drops the act and laughs a little.
"Had you going though, didn't I?" she wipes her eyes. "Yeah. I've been here a long time. And not alone, either. People just keep showing up. Children, like us. Batches of three or four at a time. This was the largest group there's ever been."
"You killed them? All of them?" Georgie asks.
"I'm the undefeated heavyweight champion."
"Oh my God," Sam breathes.
"Don't think God has much to do with this, Sam."
"How could you?"
"I had no choice. It's me or them. After a while, it was easy. It was even kind of fun. I just stopped fighting it."
"Fighting what?"
"Who we are, Sam. If you'd just quit your hand-wringing and open yourself up, you have no idea what you can do. The learning curve is so fast, it's crazy, the switches that just flip in your brain," she laughs. "I can't believe I started out just having dreams. Do you know what I can do now?"
"Control demons."
"Ah, you're quick on the draw," she hangs her head. "Yeah, I'm sorry guys. But it's over."
The cloud of black smoke appears back at the window, but before it can get in, Jake comes up behind Ava and twists her neck, killing her instantly. The demonic smoke leaves the window and disappears.
