Still on the hill and unaware of what had occurred, Lancex was still trying to wrestle with his feelings regarding Jetfire and Evac. And as he wrestled with them, a strange portal opened near him. He spotted it, but didn't think much of it, as the cons were all secured. Lancex was shocked when Jetfire and Evac appeared. "What are you two doing here?" Lancex asked, feeling a bit shy and tongue tied being around the other two.
Jetfire and Evac picked it up instantly, but said nothing. "We went to speak with Optimus regarding things" Jetfire started.
"What did he have to say?" Lancex asked, extremely curious and hopeful.
"We were given permission to be reserve soldiers, on call if needed in an emergency only" Evac revealed, though Lancex wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
"Optimus doesn't grant resignations, as it is always our choice to join or not and to leave or not, but we believe strong enough in Autobot mission that we want to be able to help if needed. That is why we asked to be reserve, so that we can still be part of the team but choose to do other things as well" Jetfire explained, which made Lancex feel better. Jetfire and Evac wouldn't be required to fight with the Autobots unless absolutely necessary.
Lancex smiled. "So now what?"
"Well…. If only we had a way to your home universe" Evac replied. Lancex's eyes went wide.
"We talked, Lancex, and there is no way in this universe that we would be able to be compatible, but after heading into your universe, we were all on an even playing field. We figured it would be best to go there. We just don't know if we can get back there or back from there if we are needed or need something here" Jetfire added.
Lancex then stood up and pulled out a card, that appeared to shine silvery in the sun. "This is a super rare mirror card. It is the only type of card that will allow us to pass between this universe and one other one. If you are serious, we can use this to go to my home" Lancex revealed, the card ready in his hand.
"Please, let us head to your universe. By the way, if that card is so rare, how did you manage to find it?" Jetfire asked
"Slugbug granted this card to me once you came to visit my universe the last time, in case i ever wanted to return home."
"do you think it will allow us through?" Evac asked.
"it will, if i want it to happen. this card is imrpinted on me. it will allow me to transfer between the two universes and take anyone or anything I want, within reason." The two flyers nodded as Lancex activated the card. They hoped this would work.
