After cleaning everything up from breakfast, Snow sent Lancex and Sarah to get groceries as the bar was running low. Sarah and Lancex readily agreed and soon headed out. Evac and Jetfire partially understood why they couldn't go, at least not alone, as they had no idea where to find those things. But what they didn't know was that Snow and Hope had a very specific reason for the two Autobots to remain behind. "Why couldn't we go with Lancex?" Jetfire asked, a bit curious.
"First off, we wanted to thank you for saving our friend from his presumed fate" Snow started.
"It is not us whom you should be thanking. We only played a small part, Primus saved him" Evac replied, never one to steal credit from another being or bot.
Snow nodded. "Well, if I ever figure out who that is, I will thank him. Secondly, we want to know more about your interest in our friend Lancex" Snow responded, causing both bots to turn bright red in the face.
Hope seemed to sense what that blush meant, "do you two really want to have a relationship with Lancex?" She asked a bit brazenly, but then she was never one to beat around the bush.
Both instantly nodded, with Jetfire replying, "we came here because we loved him and we never could have loved him properly in our universe, we were too big. Here, we are the same size as him here, and very much the same as him with a few differences. We even asked Optimus if we could go on reserve so that we could pursue him. But it is up to him if he chooses us or not."
Snow and Hope nodded at that, as the answer showed the pair just how serious Jetfire and Evac were about their desire to become a family with Lancex. "I know Lancex has no parents here, as he told me long ago. As such, we became his family, well, until it was expanded with you Autobots. And hearing your answer gives me confidence that should he choose you, you will be good to him" Snow replied, giving the flyer bot pair gift of no interference as they persued Lancex. Both Jetfire and Evac smiled in relief and thanked both Snow and Hope for their blessings. And it was just in time, as shortly afterwards, Lancex returned with groceries and the friends, old and new, just hung out.
Much later, as night time approached, Lancex grew tired, as he had had a very long day. But even being tired, he helped the other humans cook supper. Now that Jetfire and Evac's systems were able to process this food and not just energon, they enjoyed the food Lancex cooked.
After the evening meal, Lancex headed to bed early. Jetfire and Evac, tired much like Lancex, went to join him. They snuggled close to him as they revealed that they had been given a blessing to court Lancex. Lancex blushed but snuggled close to the two. Lancex then thouht of something that they could do tomorrow, and he told them of it. Jetfire and Evac were surprised but agreed. The three were soon fast asleep, dreaming of what tomorrow would bring.
