Akira's POV

"It's another D-rank, kuso" Naruto said kicking a stone.

"Naruto, this is just our first mission for the day" Sensei said raffling Naruto's hair

"And this will be our last boring mission-dattebayo" Naruto said with determination

"Right, D-ranks missions are so boring" I said with a sigh

Sakura has crossed arms nodding her head in agreement, Sasuke has a disappointed look.

"Come on, guys, have some energy, it's already 12 in the afternoon" Sensei said with an eye smile

"You're the one to talk, you're late by 3 hours" I said with a furrowed eyebrows

"Ma, Akira, don't be like that, you're also late yesterday" Sensei said with a teasing voice.

"pshh..." I said looking at the side.

"Now, come on we need to track the cat, so we can eat lunch and get a new mission, okay?" He said starting to walk.

"Hai! And the next mission we will get will be more cooler-dattebayo" Naruto said with a huge smile following sensei. Sasuke, Sakura, and I look at each other before sighing and following Sensei and Naruto.

(Man, he has so much energy...) The three of us thought.

"Sasuke here at point B!" Sasuke said through the mic.

"Akira, here at point D!" I said removing the lollipop I'm eating

"Sakura, here at point C!" Sakura said through the mic.

"Naruto here. I'm at point A!-dattebayo" Naruto said after a few seconds.

"You're slow, Naruto!" Sensei said through the mic

"Okay, the seventh squad..." Sensei continues but immediately stops.

"The target move..." I whispered.

"The target has moved! Follow it!" Kakashi-sensei commanded.

We immediately follow, changing our position as we trail where the cat runs.

"Alright! It's over there!" Naruto said all of our focus was on the target.

"What's your distance from the target?" Sensei asks also focus on our target.

"Five meters! I can go at any time!" Naruto answers.

"me too..." I said

"I'm ready too!" Sasuke said

"me too...!" Sakura said

"Okay..." "Do it!" Sensei whispered shout.

All of us complied, Naruto is the first one to jump on the cat, catching it.

"I got him!" Naruto shouts as the cats try to escape but Naruto holds it tighter, making the cat scratch his face.

"Does he have a ribbon on his right ear...? Are you sure it's our target, Tora?" Sensei asks

"It's the target, no mistake" Sasuke said through the mic while the cat continue scratches Naruto's face

"Alright, the mission to capture lost pet 'Tora' is complete!" Sensei said.

A shout can be heard through the mike making all of us wince.

"Isn't there a mission with a great sense of urgency?!" Naruto shouts having enough of nonsense mission.

"Naruto...!" I whispered shout covering his mouth still wincing.

Naruto stands up scratching his neck, his other hand is holding the cat who's still trying to scratch him.

Sensei walked toward us with an eye smile, holding his left ear.

"Good job, team" Sensei said raffling all our hair.

"Ahh, mo, hold this Akira-ttebayo!" Naruto said passing me the cat, who immediately stop escaping once I'm holding him. I position the cat in a more comfortable position.

"Damn, my face hurts." Naruto said, looking at the cat

"Bad for you..." I said with a smirk, cuddling the cat. Naruto just cross his arm, pouting.

"Alright, we needed to go back and give this cat to its owner" Sensei said petting the cat.

"Ohhh! My cute Tora I was worried to death!" The owner said, squishing the cat.

You can literally see the cat have tears in its eyes.

(Is that tears of joy... or tears of pain) I ask myself

"Achuu..." Then I suddenly sneeze making all of them look at me, I just laugh awkwardly.

"hehe... A cold maybe..." I said with a shrug.

"Serves him right, that stupid cat!" Naruto whispered scratching his head.

"No wonder he ran away..." Sakura added

"nhn" I said nodding my head, scratching my nose feeling that I will sneeze again

I can feel Sensei's eyes looking at me, so I look at him giving him a small smile.

"...Now, then!" The Hokage said getting our attention

"The next mission for Kakashi's seventh squad is..." He said examining the paper he was holding

"An errand to the neighboring town to... baby-sit the chief councilor's boy... Helping with digging for potatoes, eh..." He listed making all of us groan, Sensei looking at us with sympathy.

"NOOOOOO!" Naruto cut the Hokage from saying more of the boring missions.

"No! No, thank you!" Naruto said having an x sign. I copied Naruto having an x sign with my fingers, having a shrugging face.

(I'm a supportive friend)

"As for me, I want to do more exciting missions! Give us something else!" Naruto said his hands stills forming an x sign.

"nhn" I heard Sasuke said, I look at him seeing him with a serious face

Sakura had an annoyed look while Sensei has a defeated look on his face looking at Naruto.

"You fool! You're still the bottom rookie!" Iruka-sensei shouted standing from his chair.

"But he got a point though..." I whispered but not quite enough for them not to hear.

"You Akira! Stop encouraging Naruto!" Iruka-sensei said pointing at me.

He crossed his arms with a confused look when I walked towards him my hands in my pocket.

I lean my face towards him with a teasing smile, one eyebrow raised.

"Ohh... for all I know you just miss us and don't want us in danger" I said with a teasing voice and having a sly smile.

"What nooo!" He defended with furrowed eyebrows. We can hear the Hokage chuckle.

"Ohh.. really?" I said still a sly smile, leaning my face more.

"Really, Akira!" He said also leaning, our eyes leveling, him having a challenging look on his face while me having a sly smile one eyebrow raised, teasing him. I wanted to burst out laughing seeing the slight blush on his cheeks.

Suddenly someone pulled me by my jacket's collar.

"Okay, that's enough" Sensei said clearing his throat while pulling me to the rest of the team, he looked at Irukas-sensei with a serious face.

Iruka's POV

"Ohh.. really?" she said still a sly smile on her face, leaning her face more.

"Really, Akira!"I said also leaning, our eyes leveling, Me, having a challenging look on my face, even though I know what Akira's said is true, her having a sly smile and one eyebrow raised, teasing me.

(Yes, I'm worried so what?) I thought leaning more my arms still crossed

Suddenly someone pulled her by my her jacket's collar. Making me heave a sigh.

(That Akira, should learn some respect)

"Okay, that's enough" Kakashi-sensei said clearing his throat while pulling her to the rest of the team, he looked at me with a serious face or I rather say a warning look?

(huh? what did I do) I thought with a sweatdropped.

I heave a sigh when he looks back again at Akira, and the rest of the team giving them an eye smile and a soft look on his face.

(It's really subtle look he gave me a few seconds ago, he is the copy ninja, he always has that look, maybe I'm misinterpreting it...) I thought heaving a sigh again.

Akira's POV

"Ahh, mo... let go of me" I said getting his attention while I try to loosen his hold on my jacket's collar

"ahh, right" He said letting go of me.

"Akira, you can't do that be respectful to your seniors" He said with an eye smile, raffling my hair but I quickly shoved his hands away.

"hmph" I said looking at the team, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and I lock gazes making them chuckle, Sasuke having a smirk on his face.

Sakura suddenly walked toward me still giggling

"... that's funny, you can see that you caught him off guard..." She whispered but not quite enough making Iruka-sensei blush. I chuckled when I see Iruka-sensei face turns into a bright red color. He suddenly put both of his hands on the table with a serious face he always has when he's about to lecture us.

(Here we goo...)

"At the start, everyone moves up the ladder by gaining experience from simple missions!" He said

"B-But! It's been nothing but a blah missions so far!" Naruto said, he was about to continue what he is talking about, when Sensei smacked him on the head, causing him to faceplant on the floor.

"Knock it off!" He said looking at Naruto then his gaze avert towards me. I move away from him not wanting to be smacked by the head but he rests his arm on my shoulder making me stop. I heave a sigh of relief when I thought that he was not going to smack me, but he suddenly flick my ear.

"Itai!..." I said holding my left ear he just flicks

"And also you Akira!" He said with a serious look.

"Damn, I really hate you old man..." I whispered but not caring even if he hears it. I shove his arm that is resting on my shoulder and walk towards where Sakura is.

"Feel bad for you..." Sakura said giggling. I just cross my arms and look in front with a jokingly annoyed face.

"Naruto, It's necessary to explain to you what a mission is..." The Hokage said getting all of our attention.

"huh?" Naruto said sitting on the floor and looking at the Hokage

"Listen to me" The Hokage said smoking from his pipe.

(I don't want to listen to this) I thought not paying any attention to the Hokage anymore.

(It's better to read a book than to stand here and listen to lectures...) I thought, trying to be sneaky when I pull out a book but Iruka-sensei gives me a look, causing me to hide it again, I hear Sakura chuckles again beside me. I look at the rest of the team, seeing all of them not also paying attention to what the Hokage is saying. Sasuke looking bored, Sakura is beside me who is giving me a look, Naruto is still on the floor seemingly thinking of something and Sensei just have his usual bored look looking at the team.

(Ahh, mo, why can't the Hokage give us a better mission) I thought, crossing my arms with a frown across my face.

Naruto suddenly speaks and turns around to look at us, getting all our attention even Kakashi-sensei

"Yesterday's lunch was pork bone broth noodles, so what do you think our lunch would be today, Akira?" Naruto said looking at me.

"Ma, I think... what do you like?..." I ask looking at the ceiling my hand under my chin, thinking about what could we get for lunch.

"mhmm... maybe it will be miso broth..." Naruto continues, his eyes twinkling.

"Well, if that's wha-" I said but was cut off by a shout.

"Listen!" The Hokage shouts seeing that we're not paying any attention to him.

"I-I'm sorry" Sensei said looking at the Hokage, scratching his head. Naruto suddenly turns around to look at the Hokage

"Maaaaan! You always lecture me, old man! But I'm not that little prankster that you think I am! Right, Akira?" He asks crossing his arms, to prove that he changed.

"mhm, mhm..." I said with closed eyes, nodding with a convincing look.

"See, humph!" He said turning around again with a pout on his face.

I saw Iruka-sensei smile making me smirk, when he catches me looking at him he quickly changes his expression to an angry one.

(Nice try, covering up... but I already caught you) I thought my smirk turned to a small smile, his cheeks had a red tint on it. Then we heard the Hokage chuckle while smoking from his pipe.

"Okay, fine!" The Hokage suddenly said making all of us perk up.

"If you insist... I'll have you do a C-rank mission... You'll be a bodyguard to someone." The Hokage explained with a smile.

"Really?! A ha" Naruto said standing up

"You hear that Akira!" Naruto said putting his hands on my shoulder, shaking me violently.

"Err- Narutoo..." I said shoving him away, but his hold didn't loosen

"Who?Who?" Naruto said as he stop shaking me looking at the Hokage.

(Ahh, thank you kami...)

"Don't get so hasty. I'll introduce you now!" The Hokage said fixing his Hokage hat.

"Could you please come in...?" The Hokage shouted as the door slowly open catching our attention.

"What's this? It's just a bunch of squirts!" The old man slurred holding a beer in his hand

"What the hell..." I mutter my eyebrows twitching all my excitement gone.

He drinks from his bottle as my teammates observe him with a confused look and disgusted face.

"Particularly you, the smallest one with the idiot's face. Are you really a ninja" He continues observing the team.

"Ah hahaha... Who is the smallest one with the idiot's face he is talking about?" Naruto said with a smile as we walked toward him to observe our height differences, making him the smallest.

I sweatdropped as his face changed into an angry expression.

"What?! I'll kill him!" Naruto said as Sensei hold him by the collar to prevent him from attacking our client.

"What good it will do to kill the old man you're supposed to be guarding, you moron?!" Kakashi-sensei said still holding Naruto.

"And youu..." He said squinting his eyes

"You look like you don't know anything about being a ninja, you're more likely cares more about your look, are you really a ninja?" He said pointing at me.

"You look like you won't touch even dirt..." He said as he drink from his bottle, you can hear gasp coming from the people in the room.

(What did he say to me...)

"..." I just look at him trying to calm myself.

"Ohh.. did I hit- ..." He said but stop immediately as I throw a kunai at him, cutting the end of the cloth tied to his head

"Now tell me, where do you want this next kunai to land, on your head, or maybe I could give you a haircut, well if it misses next time, you know..." I said twirling a kunai on my finger, my eyebrows raise, an innocent smile on my face.

He gulped as he looked at the kunai I threw, then back at me, his gaze fixed on the kunai I'm twirling at my finger.

"Ahh, mo... just kidding, just kidding..." I said, putting my kunai back in my pouch and dismissively waving my hand. The room atmosphere changes, as the people in the room sigh

"That's dangerous Akira" Sensei said as he tried to flick my ear again but I cover it, making him cross his arms instead while looking at me seriously.

"It's just a joke, Sensei" I said still covering my ears. I walk beside Naruto who is now giggling.

"You should have continued it" He whispered in my ear.

"Well, he is our client, after all, maybe after the mission" I whispered back to him with a playful tone in my voice, making him giggle again.

Our client clears his troats getting our attention.

"I'm Tazuna, a veteran bridge builder. You'll be risking life and limb in guarding me to the max until I return to my land and complete my bridge!" He explained

"Alright, now I will dismiss you and proceed to your next mission, and good luck on your first C-rank mission team 7" The Hokage said with a smile. Sensei start walking as we follow behind him.

Once where are outside, Sasuke closed the door of the room.

"Tazuna-san If you don't mind, we're just gonna get lunch and pack our things" Sensei said with an eye smile.

"Sure" He said drinking his beer.

I walk towards him making him stumble. I reach my arm to grab the kunai that I threw earlier, and put it back in my pouch

"pshh.. you stink old man" I said, scrunching my nose then I walked towards the team who is now giggling.

"nhn" Sasuke had a smirk. You can see that Sensei is also smirking at how his mask moves.

"Time to eat-dattebayo" Naruto said as he started walking very childishly.
