The rabbit-eared girl was about to say something again but Rafael lifted his hand again and placed it on his ear.

"Listen it's started." he said to her.

The massive city became silent as if everyone that was fighting or running could sense the danger, the defenders of the city instinctively found themselves standing back to back with those they had been fighting seconds earlier.

No one said anything as they held their weapons tightly as they waited for something to happen.

The unnatural blue light began to glow brighter with each passing moment and soon mixed itself with the natural color of sunrise.

As both, the invaders and defenders let out a breath of relief, before starting to laugh at how foolish they were none of them realized that something had placed itself in the center of their formation.

They were about to turn their weapons at each other once again when they began to notice that something wasn't right, someone was standing behind them, something that shouldn't have been there.

All of the men and women turned around and attacked the creatures together as if they had been training together for years, unfortunately, their cooperation meant nothing to the things that they were fighting.

Normally in a game, the players start as weak and so do the monsters, eventually both the players and monsters become so strong that they become nearly untouchable to other players and monsters.

To stop the stronger monsters and players from bullying the weaker players, most games place restrictions on those that had left a certain area, as well as the monsters that reached a certain point of power.

Unfortunately for the defenders and invaders of Lungmen, these restrictions didn't exist and they found themselves having to defend against creatures that had been created for the only purpose of killing.

No matter where a person turned they would see both the invaders and defenders of the city being dragged into dark alleys as they fired or chopped away at something.

Drones showed images of creatures that looked like trees but had tentacles that attached themselves to people's heads.

Those that were unfortunate enough to be caught by such things were rendered helpless and began to defend the trees, while at the same time they forced anyone they could get their hands on to join them in their enslavement.

As the drones showed the invasion of the city they showed packs of wolves and snakes entering the building and patrolling the streets of Lungmen, yet when they encountered, the frightened population of the city none of them attacked.

"Kirito what's going on, why is?"Rafael said to Kirito who immediately stopped him from saying anything else.

"I know we're holding Laughing Coffin back, but to be honest whit you there right." RKirito answered him.

"What d you mean?" he asked JKirito.

"Look, I'll make this quick."

"Last time we made contact with a city and it was invaded, so we left and then we made contact with a city and it was invaded by the same group, hell they're dressed in the same clothes as the group that attacked the other city."

Kirito said to him.

'Which means that every time we make contact with a city it's going to be invaded by the same group until we deal with it." Rafael said as he understood what Kirito said to him.

"So then why did Aincrad decide to send those monsters in?" Rafael asked Kirito.

"Because we were taking too long."

"Remember the guy that was shooting at the castle and the mob that attacked? not to mention the fact that we just stood around while the invasion began."

"The floor bosses think that we aren't willing to do what it takes to defend the castle, so they're sending the group that will."

"..."

"You the one with the ears" Rafael said to the Rabbit girl.

Amaya glared at the man but didn't say anything.

"Call your superiors or whoever is in charge of the city defenses, tell them to stop fighting and if possible send me a map of the areas that invaders have taken over." Rafael said to the girl but she didn't move.

"Kirito is it possible that we were always meant to fight both groups?" Rafael asked Kirito.

"It's possible that we were supposed to defend the city, but considering that we took so long that might not be an option anymore." Heathcliff answered him.

"Is there any way of telling the guy you met to order his men to stop fighting or to allow us...to" Rafael began to say to Heathcliff even as he remembered that the monsters were already in the city

"I see...let them through if we cant end the fighting one way then we might as well end it the other way."

"Hey, guys just this once don't kill any civilians and people that surrender," Rafael said to the members of Laughing Coffin but unsurprisingly none of them answered him.

"I guess we're doing this." Saito said to himself as he clapped his hands.

Both groups looked at each other and prepared to fight one another when Rafael heard something he hadn't heard in years, it was the sound of a cellphone ringing.

He watched as the rabbit-eared girl answered it and said what before she hung up and ordered her group to leave.

He turned his attention to his friends who were looking at their help screens and from the expressions they had Rafel understood that something was wrong.

"What's going on?" he asked them.

"The invaders they're escaping, I mean they're leaving the city, and other than the ones that the monsters caught there's none of them left." Dante answered him.

"... Strange, so what happened now?" Rafael asked himself, as the members of Laughing coffin were forcefully teleported back into Aincrad.

"What!?" the members of the murder guild said enraged at the fact that they weren't able to have their fun.

"Enough, I sent you into that city to deal with a situation, there is no point in you being in that city if the situation no longer exists." Radius said to them.

The murder guild members watched as the monsters began to set free the people that looked as if they were members of the city's police, while they kept the ones that looked as if they were part of the group that had invaded the city.

"However, I am aware that all of you wanted to have fun, and fun you shall have." Radius said to them as the monsters that had people with them were teleported into the room with them.

With a wave of its hand Radius created an exact copy of the city of Lungmen while at the same time it made the monsters vanish which set the animal-eared people free.

"Enjoy your hunt." Radius said to its servants as the members of laughing coffin walked into the city and began to hunt their prey.

No one would ever know what happened inside the room, only that there was suddenly a lot of information about the biology of different kinds of people that lived in this world was suddenly available.

In Lungmen the Guild Leaders and the rulers of the city were having a meeting again, however, there were a lot more guards and cameras watching the two groups negotiate.

In the end, both sides agreed on a deal that neither of them was happy with.

Because Aincrad had invaded Lungmen and had attacked its defense force it had to pay for all of the damages that the group called Reunion had done to the city, while at the same time it would have to take back all of the refuges it had brought into Lungmen.

Lumen's rulers weren't fools and they knew that the Guild leaders had Lungmen under their control for the moment.

So they knew that they had to give something up so that the Players as they called themselves didn't decide that the city was too much trouble and destroyed it before help could arrive.

So they offered the player's weapons designs and the textbooks that they had asked for.

Wei Yenwu could see that the players wanted to demand more, after all, they were on the losing side of the deal, but they agreed.

Wei didn't mention that the weapon schematics that the players were being given, were so outdated that everyone had them and no one used them anymore.

Out of pure spite, some men had even thrown in some designs that had so many flaws that they killed their users whenever they tried to wield them.

The textbooks were so old that they were useless, not to mention that a person could get more information from computers than from books.

Along with the fact that the players still had to give Lungmen the food they had agreed to earlier, Wei was pleased to know that Lungmen was on the winning side of the deal.

"Before we end this, your infected give them to us." Asuna said to Wei who felt his heart stop.

"Our men spoke to some of them and they say that they don't like the way that they are being treated and since we are taking the refugees back with us, well we might as well take them." Asuna said to him.

"You know what I have a better idea, we will take all of the infected that show up in your city from now on." Wei used all of his strength of will not to turn and look at his wife.

Asuna turned her attention to the cameras in the room before speaking directly to them.

"If you could be so kind as to spread the word to every other kingdom and city, we will take all of the infected people from them." Asuna said to him with a kind smile.

As Wei looked at the young woman smiling at him, he couldn't help but feel as if he was looking at a snake that was dripping venum over him.

On the surface, this looked as if he was on the winning side of everything.

"Deal." Wei said to Asuna as he felt a cold sensation spread through his chest.
