"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the nomination confirmation assembly!" Principal Harshwhinny began, taking the stage with a remote in her hand, "This year, we saw an overwhelming amount of nominations across all three upper grades."

"And after rigorous amounts of counting and long thoughtful selecting, we have confirmed the 10 of the nominations," Sugarbelle added.

(Lodestar High Auditorium)

"Excuse me, can I sit here?" Ember and the three Dragons turned their heads to Capper. Who stood there looking polite and calm "Uh, it's my first day today and I was kind of just ushered into this assembly."

Ember smiled and giggled, inviting him over to sit, "Sure."

Capper took a seat to Adagio, the latter of whom greeted him. Shooting him a quizzical and curious smirk.

"New blood, huh?" She chuckled, "I remember when I was new blood at this school," She let out a relaxed sigh, reminiscing on her early days in Lodestar, "Good times. Say, what's your name?"

"I'm Capper. Capper Dapperclaws. I'm from out of town."

"Funny, we were also originally from out of town too," Adagio continued, "Which town are you from?"

"..." He chuckled, "Um, well I guess out of town is a little...wrong. See, my Dad is an explorer, so what I'm saying is I've never had a solid home before. I've been travelling around the world with him and my Mom."

He certainly had Adagio's attention now, "Oh? So that makes you a globetrotter then?"

"Yeah, basically."

"Interesting," She sat up straight and asked more questions, "Where've you been?"

"Oh you know, East Africa, South Kasnain, the Island of Mucruso. The list could go on and on," Capper wanted to sell his story, and the best way he could was to act excited about some places he'd been too, "Oh, one time we spotted a herd of Elephants, it was amazing to see in person. I've also seen a handful of different species only Privelegd Explorers get to see," He smugly smirked and inspected one of his fingernails, "Not trying to brag or anything."

Adagio giggled back, quirking an eyebrow and folding her arms, "I think we're going to be great friends, Capper."

Anyway...

Harshwhinny began to list off the names of the students she's confirmed to take place in this year's School Presidential Election.

"All nominees will begin their campaign sometime next week at the beginning of October and the election will be held a week after," Sugarbelle explained, "But without further a due, your 10 nominees for this year School Elections are:"

Harshwhinny continued from there, reading off the names on a tablet.

"Number one: Astro Borealis."

The crowd cheered for Astro, who by now has become the most popular kid in school. He was a senior now, compared to last year when he was just an 11th grader.

With his photogenic smile, politeness and his popularity, he seemed like the clear frontrunner for the election.

"Number two: Amethyst Star."

Another one of the popular kids, the purple-headed gal was mostly in the pool of 10th Graders who had been nominated for the presidency. Being one of the more, elite 10th graders how you say. One much more serious than the first nominee Astro.

"Number three: Gizmo Poindexter."

One of the brainiacs of Lodestar and was pretty well-liked across Lodestar High. The same age as Astro, the second senior to be nominated for the presidency.

(because in case anyone was wondering, we don't really have cliques in High School: Jocks, Goths and all that. And I'm pretty qualified to be saying this because I'm fresh outta high school).

"Number four: Lavender Lace."

The first 11th grader mentioned the blonde-headed gal was a drama and music girl with a hint of interest in Fantasy MMOs.

"Number five: Twilight Sparkle."

Sunset widened her eyes, meanwhile, Twilight shot Sunset a smug grin and stuck her tongue out at her, "Yeah, fuck you."

"Number six: Sunset Shimmer."

Twilight widened her eyes shortly thereafter, with Sunset shooting her a smug look, flipping her off thereafter, "You were saying?"

"Number seven: Soarin' Skies."

Now both of them widened their eyes, both darting them at Soarin'. The latter of whom just sitting there chuckling and scratching"Num the back of his head, "What? I wanna have fun too."

"Number eight: Indigo Wreath."

Remember the kid that had an argument with Flash Sentry backstage of the play minutes before the show? The guy who wanted the part of Wilson Ford? Yeah, this was him. He was a senior too now.

"Number nine: Teddy Blitz."

One of the well-known football players of Lodestar, he was notable for bringing home a championship early in the fall last year. Son of the football coach at Lodestar as well. A junior with similar popularity to Astro Borealis.

"Number ten: Fleet Foot."

Another athletic kid added up four athletes who were nominated for the presidency. She was one of Spitfire's friends and another senior.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, these are your potential picks for Lodestar's next President, give them all a round of applause."

The crowd of students clapped and cheered for their fellow students. While Sunset and Twilight were busy glaring at each other, the other students felt pretty honoured to have been chosen in a pool of hundreds of students who had been nominated.

Rover was relieved. With Sunset's nomination confirmed and the fact she and Twilight were having a mini-feud. He could relax for the weekend and not have to worry about meeting Sunset's parents.

Then he got a text message, feeling his phone vibrate, he took it out.

And then promptly smiled. The kind of...mysterious smile you see from someone who was up to something.

He excused himself, letting Sunset know, "Hey, I'll be right back."

Sunset turned away from Twilight, giving Rover a smile and nodding, "okay, I'll meet up with you later."

Rover nodded and gave Sunset a peck on the cheek. Got up and walked out of the auditorium.

(Outside of Flash Sentry's apartment room; room 418)

Capper had left Terri with very specific orders.

"Look, stay hidden for now. Send him a message but don't let him see you."

She knew what to do and she knew how to do it. She just didn't want to do it.

Her silver-blue hair was a disguise. A thin sheet of mana distorted her hair colour, in reality, she had long spiky red hair. She needed that disguise and she couldn't look suspicious with it on.

So she took it off and opted for her normal hair. Shaking her head a bit to get some bangs away from her eyes. Before continuing to glare Sentry down.

Flash was asleep on the couch, a place he'd kind of been at a lot for the past month. She and Capper always came around on nights to check on Sentry...well stalk him actually.

And most of the time, he was up eating something while watching television. In other words, she saw him as nothing but a total slob. All the more reasons she didn't want to be on the same side as him.

But Discord had brought the two on for this, and he was a lot stronger than she was. So if she defied him, she'd probably end up the same fate as her father Tirek.

She gritted her teeth, she was gonna move in on the premises.

It was broad daylight anyway, standing in a tree outside an Apartment complex probably looked odd to people walking by.

Leaping off the tree she stood on, she activated her mana and relied on a very basic transparency spell. So for a brief moment, her body became translucent, which gave her the ability to phase through solid objects.

Like the window, she had been staring at for the past five minutes.

And just like that...

She was in.

The spell wore off, and she kept her power level to a low. The lowest she's ever kept it. She winced, if she made a sound, who knows how he'd react. She hadn't seen anything from the World Tournament but Capper had.

From what he said, Flash was fast and manage to best one of the city's most versatile fighters in the second round. Well, he thought so.

Honestly, she felt like Capper liked this place more than he did the Grogar Legion. She hoped that that wasn't true. Then again, Capper's kind of annoying so if she was asked to take care of him. She wouldn't mind doing so.

She cringed, the apartment smelt like a musky mixture of cheese puffs, roast beef, soda, water, maple syrup and anything from the grocery store. Prompting her to plug her nose.

Not to mention there was stuff everywhere. Clothes, packets, cups of ramen, the sink was full of dishes he was yet to clean and his fridge was left wide open.

"Lives like a slob too..."

But, she then put her eye on the one they were after...well everyone in the Grogar Legio was after.

He was asleep. Just knocked out, at 12 at noon. With some crumbs on his face and a bag of cheese puffs in his hand. Some spilling out of the bag. And again one word came to mind as she saw him in that state...

SLOB.

Then again, she wasn't happy to be standing right there. Right near him.

This was it, this was the guy who mopped the floor with Tirek and ruined her life.

She gritted her teeth, anger was swelling up within her! The anger she had to control, she couldn't risk waking him up right now. Trying to suppress every violent thought about him she wanted to execute at this very moment.

This wasn't even the first time she'd seen him before either. Even before Capper had started spying on him, way before that.

Before his death, Tirek had been told about Flash Sentry. Grogar wanted him to take care of it personally and somehow turn him over to their side.

Tirek (believe it or not) was actually a good father to the only daughter he'd ever had (Terri). Because he cared about her, if she needed his attention he would give it to her. If she ever got a cut on her knee or some minor cut or injury. He was always there to put a bandage on it.

That being said, he along with Chrysalis did massacre an entire village just hours away from Canterlot City. So, there was that...

(FLASHBACK)

Date: May 17, 2005

She could still remember the day they...well...

They never formally met. As in, face to face. It was more of a spy on him from afar with her father.

So, yeah things haven't really changed as far as that department went...

But anyway!

She was 6 and so was Flash. Up until that point, Terri had been living away comfortably with the Grogar Legion. But as all children would, she was always curious about where her father went for days at a time.

So this time around, he decided to take her.

"Wheee!"

Terri was young and naive back then. A lot more jubilant, though getting some parts of what the Grogar Legion was about.

She sat on her father's shoulders, as he flew her towards the cusps of Canterlot City. Somewhere hidden but high up so no one else can spot them.

Tirek landed on said spot, letting his daughter down from his shoulders. Kneeling down next to her just to gaze at the city of Canterlot. This wasn't just any particular spot though, this was a specific spot he chose.

Terri looked mesmerized at the city at mid-day. Tilting her head.

"What's this place called, daddy?"

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that dear," Tirek said patting her on the head, "I came here because I want to show you someone...a new friend for you. One day..." He handed her some binoculars and instructed her further. "Look specifically...at that store over there. The big red building with the spaceship sign on it."

She did so, looking into the lenses of the binoculars.

There, she spotted a 6-year-old Flash Sentry. Standing in the middle of the street crying, people walked by and ignored him. Some even glared at him as they walked by.

Terri widened her eyes and gasped, "Daddy, there's somebody crying down there!"

"Oh, is that so?" Tirek grinned, "And what does he look like?"

"Uh...he has blue...pointy looking hair."

"Good, good," Tirek took the binoculars back, "That's your new friend. That's the person I wanted to show you."

"But, daddy, he's crying!" Terri whimpered, "I think he needs a hug!"

"Oh no...no, no, no," Tirek giggled, gently picking up his daughter, "He'll be alright, dear."

"But─"

"I know..." Tirek slowly began to fly up, "I know you want to go help him down there and give him a hug. But, we can't do that. Mr. Grogar would be mad. Do you want Mr. Grogar to be mad at us?"

"...No..." She pouted, she really felt bad for the lonely child crying in the street, "But, you hug me when I get sad."

"It may not make sense to you know, dear. But, maybe wait a couple of years down the line. But, that being said, I don't want you coming back here. At least not until you're a little older. Are we clear?" He asked gently.

Terri frowned, she really didn't want to leave. And she really didn't understand why her father took her here to see some random kid crying. But she obliged. Nodding her head and humming.

"mm-hm."

"Good," Tirek cradled her and flew her back, "Let's go home now,"

Date: July 15th, 2013

She around the time she was 14 she started branching out on her own. She was told more and more about what the Grogar Legion wanted to do, and she was told more about their fixation on Canterlot City.

She hadn't seen Flash up until that point, she obeyed her father's order and stayed away from Canterlot City. Growing up training under her father anyway to become strong.

But she still never forgot about that crying 6-year-old kid she once saw when she was a kid as well. Now that she was older, she supposed she could take a look.

Flash was already 14 as well at this point and was still rowdy as ever. Although he had mellowed out a little since seventh grade. He still had fun pissing people off.

Bow Hothoof for example...

"GET BACK HERE YOU FUCKING BASTARD!"

He was pissed, believe it or not, he was a master at crafting homemade stink bombs. And well...I didn't say he didn't do smaller practical jokes after 7th grade.

He couldn't help himself. He was in the area, he saw Bow's car, he really hated him and the idea popped in his head.

Flash was laughing hysterically as he was being chased. Taunting Bow as he ran.

"What's wrong, old man? Don't like air freshener?" He giggled, "I'm still surprised you can keep up, y'know in the shape you're currently in."

"WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I'LL RIP YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF YOU LITTLE PRICK!"

"Oh, come on now," Flash turned around and flipped Bow off, "Let's not make any promises we can't keep, huh?"

Terri was watching from afar. Sat down with her legs crossed. Looking through a pair of Binoculars.

She giggled, she found something kind of charming about how rowdy and sassy Flash was right now. Now she was interested in getting to know more about him? Looking away from the binoculars, she smirked.

"He's certainly an interesting one~"...

(FLASHBACK)
END

So yeah, to sum it up...

As a young child, she felt bad for Flash. When she was older, she was interested and a little attracted to him, and fast forward to now she wants to kill him in cold blood as revenge for her father's death.

Yeah, that's where they were.

She glared at him. She couldn't believe she felt bad for him as a child. Heck, she couldn't she liked him a little for that brief period of time before Tirek's death.

She hated him!

She could do it right now, she could end Sentry right here and try to make it look like an accident.

But then again, she'd probably get an earful from Discord or worse, Grogar. And whenever anyone disappoints any of them, then the next thing you know, you never see said person again.

So she had to try and suck it up.

He was asleep, it was perfect for her.

Now, she could begin sending a message to him.

To Be Continued...

Fun Fact about Terri: She was a character made up on the spot midway through writing the first chapter of the election arc. Because I'm trying to raise the stakes.
