When Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura heard that Kakashi is going to train them to the bones, they didn't expect it to be this hard.

In Naruto's words: "This is a complete violation of our rights!" to which he got a roundhouse kick as a response. Bluntly said, nobody spoke up after that.

The training was mostly consistent with stamina training. A lot of stamina training. 20 km worth of stamina training.

Sometimes Sakura twitches slightly if she hears the word 20 from Kakashi. But in the end, it was all worth it. If you ask Kakashi anyway. His students probably would disagree.

Of course, stamina training wasn't all they did. The Uchiha duo were trained by Kakashi on how to use the Sharingan correctly and effectively. Which was a lot easier than expected since it was only 'activate and watch'. Not having problems with the Sharingan, they moved on to jutsus. Sasuke was learning a new fire jutsu, while Naruto was practising the great fireball with Kakashi's help, and Sasuke's subtle hints.

Sakura, who didn't have a Kekkei Genkai, was first removed from her diet from Kakashi after finding out about it. It took a bit of convincing on his part, mostly saying that Sasuke-kun won't like a weak wife, but she soon ate enough for a Ninja.

The second part was giving her more stamina and strategy. Since she will be mostly the support, knowing as much strategy and information as possible was vital. Once or twice when she had free time she would try to read her book on medical ninjutsu, which was less successful without a Sensei who could help her.

Still, the first aid lessons were better than nothing.

Sasuke was leaning against the wall of the academy. He still had 10 minutes before needing to be there and, as much as he wanted to deny it, his Team had grown on him.

So there he was, not so last loyal Uchiha anymore although this information was only known by Team 7 and the Hokage, waiting for both of his teammates.

Naruto was still acting like Naruto despite trying to teach him that Uchihas don't act like that. The only thing Sasuke managed to accomplish was that he finally didn't wear that monstrosity of a jacket, and he could somehow pull an acceptable Uchiha-'hn'.

Sakura finally took her training seriously and even though she is still annoying, was worth something on the Team. Of course, both knew that it was going to be a long way till she will be an actual asset to the Team.

Speaking of the devil, both of his teammates were finally here.

"Hey, Sasuke! Sorry, I accidentally slept in. Good thing Sakura was walking past my apartment and wanted to walk with me." Naruto excused. Sakura just nodded to confirm his statement.

"Hn"

"Yeah, We're ready as can be! Let's go!" Naruto yelled, somehow understanding the language of the Uchihas despite only being one for a week.

Sakura and Sasuke quickly followed their dumb teammate and walked together up the stairs.

Coming up another floor they saw a huge crowd gathered around the door, that was blocked by two other genins. Naruto was about to walk up to them when a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

"Naruto, we only went up two floors," Sakura whispered in his ear. It took a lot longer for Naruto to receive the information and find the error. When he did he almost wanted to shout before another hand from Sasuke stopped him.

"This is probably a test. Let's leave quietly." the Uchiha said and guided them to the stairs.

So Team 7 made it up the stairs quickly and quietly.

Right as they were about to exit the stairs, Kakashi appeared in a shunshin.#

"Ah, so you all actually came. Not that I thought you wouldn't come of course. I am here to wish you good like one last time." Kakashi said giving them his eye smile they, at this point, saw it way too much during the training.

"Thanks, Sensei!" Both Sakura and Naruto said, the ladder giving him a thumbs-up. Sasuke gave him a grunt as an answer.

The Team made its way to the right room and was immediately bombarded with killing intent from every other participant.

'They are all older than we are.'

'Hah, they all won't even know what hit them!'

'Time to show them the strength of the Uchiha Clan.'

All genins were not caught in any of the killing intent. All three of them tasted a fraction of Zabuza's. After such an encounter something truly vile would need to intimidate them.

"Sasuke-kun!" was cried out and a blond blur was glomping Sasuke, much to his chagrin.

"Ino-pig! Get away from him!" Sakura yelled out enraged.

Naruto, who was snickering from the sidelines, was very much amused.

"Troublesome. Seems you guys are also here." A tired voice said from behind him.

"Shikamaru! Chouji! It's good to see both of you. How have you been?" Naruto asked, happy to see his other graduates.

"Not a whole lot different. Ino's like always too. You?" Shikamaru answered quickly. Sure they were technically all leaf genin, but better safe than sorry. Also answering more would be too troublesome anyway. He didn't say anything about the Uchiha on his back.

Smiling Naruto excitedly took a stance. "You won't believe it but I actually-" Before he could speak further a hand was clapped over his mouth to stop him from speaking.

Turning around he sees that it came from Sasuke.

"You want to reveal your ace in the hole, idiot?" Sasuke asked with a raised brow. Naruto, who didn't think of that, sheepishly smiled back. Turning back to Shikamaru he continued. "Sorry. It's a secret, but it's kickass I can tell you!"

"Hey, hey, seems like the whole gang is here." another voice said to his right. Looking in the direction he could see from Team 8 Kiba, Hinata and... Bug-person.

"Hey Kiba! Also ready for the exams? What's up Hinata? Hey... uh..." Naruto trailed off, not remembering the last person's name.

"You forgot my name? This is very inconsiderate from you. Why? Not remembering one's name means it doesn't hold value."

"S-shino-kun! N-naruto-Kun probably d-didn't mean it l-like that." Hinata said trying to calm the bug-ninja down.

"Sorry, Shino really," Naruto said somewhat guilty.

"Apology accepted. Why? We shouldn't hold grudges over little things." Shino replied.

"Sit down all of you maggots!" a loud and stern voice screamed at the front. It was a huge man with a bandana and two ugly scars across his face.

Listening to the man's word everyone took a seat, the Teams going together.

"I'm Ibiki Morino, your proctor of the first Chunin exam test. I won't repeat myself so listen up! Under all of your desks, there will be a folder. get it out now." Doing as they were told, everyone got their folder that was... glued? to the underside of the table. Opening it reveals a short description of a person. "As you can see, it's a description from someone in this room. "

Several people were looking left and right now "The test is relatively straightforward. Identify the person and spy on him during this week. Write everything you can find about him on those scrolls." he was pointing towards a desk with many scrolls. "All the while not giving anything away from yourself. At the end of the week, your information will be reviewed. Every right information will give you one point. Should you have fewer points than your own spy, you will be eliminated from the exams and fail. Killing is strictly forbidden. One last thing, on every scroll, is a time window imprinted. You are only allowed to spy on your target during this time window. Ninjas all around the village will watch you, so don't try cheating." With his last words said he shunshined away.

Silence filled the room. Until one ninja from Ame stood up and went to get a scroll. After that, the rest joined him in getting a scroll.

"This is lame! I thought we get to fight something!" Naruto was disappointed in the first stage of the exams. 'Great now I also have dumb hours. He continued looking at his scroll and saw that he got times from 1 a.m to 7a .m.

Most Teams already left, leaving only a handful remaining. All of them were either discussing with their teammates or trying to wrap their heads around the description.

Meeting up with his Team, he saw their face in a grimace. They also didn't know who their target was.

This wasn't a good start...

A/N

Why hello there!

Thanks for still enjoying those fics, even if they are mostly boring. The build-up is just very lame.

How did you like this new test? I think it's more fitting than the writing thing they did. If you have suggestions do tell me.

That's it, have a wonderful day!

I'm getting out of references... 'Kamui!'
