Angelica hated that, she despised Monday' hated the six letter word that was guaranteed to bring her some sort of discomfort. She had said it a million times before and would undoubtedly say it a million times more. Monday's sucked ass. It wasn't too long ago when she was having this same thought, in the same car, with the same person, in front of the same old building. The entire ordeal was incredibly redundant. Angelica sighed and turned to look at her good friend Thomas Jefferson who was in the driver's seat next to her.

"Please don't make me go in there. I'm honestly begging you."

Thomas smiled and shook his head.

"Don't look at me. I was the one who told you to take the day off."

Angelica playfully scoffed before turning her head to gaze at the Schuyler Law office.

"Yeah I know, but still I'd feel better about myself if you would let me think that I actually wanted to be here."

Plus she had plans after work anyways.

Thomas smiled and flexed his hands on the steering wheel.

" You don't have to go in. I could take you back if you want. Either to your place or mine. It doesn't matter. Hell, if you wanted to drive to Canada right now I would drive you."

Angelica smiled.

"Nah, Canada is like 6 hours away. Plus what is there even to do in Canada?"

Thomas shrugged.

"I don't know? Whale Watching."

Angelica smiled from ear to ear and laughed.

"Yes Thomas! Let's drive 6 hours away and go whale watching in Canada."

Thomas threw his hands up and grinned.

"Hey! I'm just throwing suggestions. Don't be mad at me."

Angelica glanced over Jefferson.

"I could never be mad at you."

Thomas rolled his eyes.

"Angelica Schuyler, I take you for a lot of things but I never thought a liar would be one of them."

Angelica scoffed but the faint smile playing on her lips stayed.

"Thanks."

Thomas looked over at Angelica with the faintest hint of confusion.

"For what? Whale watching"

Angelica leaned her head back on the seat's headrest.

"No Friday,the weekend,everything really."

"It was no problem-

Angelica cut him off. It was unintentional but nonetheless Jefferson was cut off

"No,you've always been there for me. More times than I was for you. It just amazes me that's all. I honestly can't fathom the fact that you can still be there for me 100% whenever I need you. It makes me question my own moral compass not gonna lie."

Thomas laughed off her apology. He appreciated it but it wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear. A mere 72 hours ago the beautiful woman in front of him was congested and puffy eyed and now she was smiling and enthusiastic. Thomas didn't quite know exactly what it was that he was feeling but he'd be lying to himself if he were to say that he didn't enjoy Angelica Schuyler slightly depending on him for a night or two.

It had been awhile since she had spoken to him in the personal level she had the night before and he wasn't entirely ready to let it go. But that was the consequence of falling in and out of love with a woman as independent as Angelica Schuyler. The emotional vulnerability didn't last very long.

Thomas turned to look at Angelica.

"So what do we do now? Do you want to walk in there or go whale watching?"

Angelica grinned again.

"Well as tempting as whale watching in Canada sounds, something tells me I should probably go in there."

"You sure? If you want I could walk you in there."

Angelica shook her head.

"No it's fine. I'll be okay."

Thomas arched an eyebrow.

"Promise?"

"Pinky promise."

Angelica

Lifted up her finger to further reassure her friend.

Jefferson hesitantly connected his own pinkey to hers. The hesitation was purely a force of habit. You could never fully trust a woman such as Angelica. While she was loyal she often had the tendency to refuse help. Especially when she needed it. She was funny like that.

Angelica gathered her belongings and opened the car door.

"Au revoir Jefferson"

Thomas waved in response.

"arrivederci Angelica."

Angelica closed the door and watched Thonas's car pull away. Once his vehicle had disappeared into traffic Angelica allowed her smile to drop. She should've taken Thomas up on his offer. Whale watching would've been a lot better than being at work. It's not like she couldn't afford to miss work. She knew that while her father was a strict employer he was still fair and that his employees had a good amount of vacation days. Not as much as they deserved but more than the other law offices in the area offered. But in the end she was here, Thomas was probably stuck in traffic, and she was still too proud to ask for help. So Angelica inhaled and walked into the dreaded Schyler law office.

Angelica walked in and was met with the familiar greeting of her favorite and only recopinist, Stacy. Angelica and Stacy had created an interesting relationship. Granted their first interaction hadn't been ideal but after a few weeks of seeing each other almost every morning they both decided that they were mature enough to respect one another and afford each other a standard greeting. They had even made a routine. Angelica would walk in, Stacy would say hello, Angelica would say hello back and then they parted ways. In reality this was just standard etiquette but considering the rough path they started on this was major progress.

"How are you this morning, Miss schuyler?"

"I'm doing well Stacy- that was a lie. How are you?"

Stacy responded with a good hearted smile

"Well you know the usual. Scheduling meetings and therapy sessions."

Angelica laughed.

"While you're at it , add me to that list."

Stacy smiled and nodded.

"Will do Miss chuyler!"

Angelica waved to Stacy one more time before exiting the lobby and entering the actual office space of the building. As soon as she stepped foot in the office she was immediately met with David Gardner. A young ginger headed intern who also happens to be one of the many sons of respected businessman John Tyler. Despite the fact that David was young and intelligent he was not exactly popular among the rest of his colleagues. He had just graduated from high school and was taking a gap year at this internship to gain experience. Angelica didn't quite understand this though. He hadn't even started college let alone apply for any jobs so she wasn't exactly sure how internship experience was going to help him if he didn't even have his bachelor's degree. But she didn't question it. To each their own. Anyways he was an extremely smart ass and felt the need to critique everyone in the office on how to do their job despite the fact that he didn't even have a legitimate job nor was he getting paid. Granted a few weeks ago Angelica was in the same position but he was 18 and she was 23 so she was obviously so much more mature.

Angelica met the eyes of David and prepared herself for the long evaluation of her job he was going to give her.

"Good morning Angelica!"

"Morning David. How are you?"

David frowned and stared Angelica dead in her brown eyes.

"I would like to say well but unfortunately you didn't respond to any of my emails over the weekend so I'm afraid I'm in a less than ideal mood."

Angelica rolled her eyes. She did in fact see David's emails. She had just closed to ignore them. To be 100% honest his emails were filled with bs. All 4 of them were 200 words minimum and they all said the same thing. Angelica needed to do a better job of organizing her folders. Supposedly this was an inconvenience for all people who were forced to look over her notes after a meeting or if they needed them for a reference or some sort. Angelica didn't respond because she knew that this didn't bother anyone but him because Dolley was the only one who reread her notes and Dolley didn't mind her disorganization. The only reason why David saw her notes was because he had taken it upon himself to look at her work ethic after the entire Benjamin Franklin incident.

"Well David I was busy."

"Doing what exactly?"

Angelica frowned. This was the thing about working with a spoiled 18 year old. They were always so nosey.

"What I do during the weekend is no ones business but my own."

Angelica turned to walk to her cubicle when she heard that little shit David say something under his breath.

"Your business and Hamilton's I'm sure."

Angelica swiftly turned around and stared David down.

"Excuse me?"

David sneered. For being 5'3 he sure was confident.

"Nothing. I was just saying you and Hamilton seem to have a very intimate relationship."

Angelica bit her lip in an attempt to contain herself. It was taking Angelica everything in her body to not throw this little skinny headed ginger out of the office window and into moving traffic.

"Listen here kid. The next time you try to have an opinion on my own relationships I swear I will make your life an absolute hell."

David took a step back so he didn't have to crane his neck to look at Angelica. That was the nice thing about being 5'5 and 5'7 in heels. High school losers didn't exactly tower over her.

"How so?"

Angelica laughed a little.

"Listen David. I'm only 5 years older than you. I will find

any stupid social media account that you've ever made and show all your future employers the slightly offensive comments you made back in sopmore year."

The little color that David did poses was soon drained from his face.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

Angelica smiled.

"I'm sure you do, David."

"How did you know?"

Truth be told she didn't but she was still considered a young adult and knew that most 15-16 year old boys made some pretty dumb decisions in their early years of high school and she just got that vibe from this point it was just a lucky guess.

David didn't say anything. The kid looked like he was going to shit his pants. Angelica smiled with satisfaction. She knew from personal experience that if there was anyway to scare a trust fund baby then all you had to do was threaten their reputation. In the elite world of the one percent your reputation was everything. If you screwed up the best thing to do was to keep it under wraps or pay for it to go away. Either way your public image had to be spotless and Angelica's kind of people would do anything to keep it that way.

Angelica flicked her wrist and checked her watch.

"Well David, as lovely as this conversation has been, I have to get back to there anything else I can do for you?"

He said nothing for about 3 seconds. After those 3 seconds, he readjusted his tie as though it were a noose around his neck.

"No Angelica. - he shook his head to emphasize his point. That's all."

Angelica nodded.

"I guess I'll see you later then."

David nodded his head with an uncomfortable expression.

"Later."

Angelica smiled and turned on her heel. Had her day started off rough? Yes. She woke up tired, encountered one of the most annoying people she had ever met, and was walking away knowing she had a shit ton of work to do but now she felt a little better. No one else was going to bother her with anything personal. David was the only one who was entitled enough to question her on that topic. So now for the rest of her 8-hour work day, she would be free to be productive without any distractions.

Angelica made a pit stop to the break room to grab herself a cup of coffee. 2 weeks ago Angelica would've politely declined a serving of the black liquid. She had had her fill with it in college with all the all-nighters she pulled but now that she had an actual position at her father's law firm the responsibility to be a little more attentive was a tiring one and thus called for the caffeinated beverage.

After her trip to the break room, Angelica stopped at the printer to grab a copy of some legal documents, and then finally she was at her cubicle. Angelica took a sip of her coffee and was quiet but not too quiet. The only thing you could hear was the clicking of keyboard keys. The atmosphere was calm but at the same time, it had a hint of motivation flying in the air.

Angelica clicked the top of her pen and opened it to underline a few points on her freshly printed document and I kid you not even 3 minutes passed when she heard someone practically scream the words-

"Yo Schuyler!"

As a result of the surprise that came with having your name basically screamed out of nowhere, Angelica's pen slid across the paper, creating a huge, irreversible mark right through her paper because the last time she checked pens weren't erasable. Angelica unsurprisingly groaned out of frustration. She reluctantly looked up to glance at burr and was surprised to see a panicked expression in place of his usual nonchalant one.

Angelica stared at him for a few seconds. Trying to figure out what was causing the man in front of her so much stress.

Angelica cocked an eyebrow in curiosity.

"What's wrong with you?"

Burr frowned and talked through his teeth.

"He's here."

The corners of Anglicans mouth turn downwards. Now she was even more confused.

"Who's here?"

Burr rolled his eyes so hard that they might've gotten stuck that way.

"Mckinley!"

Angelica squinted and then it hit her.

"Oh shit!"

Burr nodded with wide eyes. Now both Angelica and her coworker were sharing the same panicked expression.

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. He's here!?"

"No Angelica I just told you that for the hell of it. Yes, he's here!"

Angelica sprung out of her chair and frantically sifted through her papers trying to find the McKinley folder.

" Dammit Aaron. Why is he here? He wasn't supposed to be here till Wednesday!"

" How was I supposed to know that he rescheduled? Do I look like Stacy to you!"

The meeting that the two coworkers were describing was known throughout the office as the McKinley meeting. This meeting was enough to either make or break a young lawyer's career. Me. McKinley was unarguably one of the most powerful men in New York City. Some may even say more powerful than Philip Schuyler himself. The reason why he was showing up at the Schuyler Law office though was one of the most humiliating scenarios that any married socialite could face. A cheating scandal. Many people had affairs. This was no secret but a public one was the closest thing to death for these influential men. Similar to what she told David if your reputation was tarnished you could bet your influence would be too.

Angelica ran her fingers through her cabinet file until her eyes met a folder that read the words, McKinley, in bold black sharpie.

"Yes! I found it!"

Angelica triumphantly raised the folder to burr's face and smiled.

Aarons's face lit up in what looked like relief. He grabbed Angelica's wrist and they both started running towards the infamous glass conference room. That room had hosted many of Angelica's career Achievements and misfortunes. She could only imagine if this meeting would be a high or low for her ever-growing career.

the two began running and approached Dolley at the end of a hallway. She was holding a stack of papers and a few pens in her blazer pocket. She quickly fell into line with them.

"Here's here!"

Aaron nodded towards Angelica.

"Yeah, she knows."

Dolley split the papers in half and each gave Aaron and Angelica a stack.

"Here's what we're going over. The prenup, the estates, stock shares, and whatever else they own."

Angelica looked down and skimmed through the paper.

"Is his wife here?"

Aaron shook his head.

"Not yet at least. She says wants to mentally prepare for today. So we can expect at least an hour delay on her end."

Angelica's eyebrow raised.

"Wasn't she the one doing the cheating?"

Dolley shrugged.

"She's smart. If my multi-millionaire husband was trying to divorce me I would take some alone time for the sympathy vote too."

Angelica smiled and nodded.

"To each their own I suppose."

Angelica put the papers underneath her arm and looked at her coworkers.

"You guys ready?"

Both Dolley and Aaron exchanged worried glances but nodded.

Angelica exhaled one more time before pushing open the glass doors of the conference room. Both Angelica, Aaron, and Dolley took their seat at the conference room table across from a frowning William McKinley. He wouldn't be considered a particularly large man but he was by no stretch of the means slim. He had slicked-back silver hair and his suit was an ugly shade of green. He had brown eyes and bushy eyebrows that seemed to be permanently furrowed.

"You're late."

Angelica awkwardly smiled.

"I'm sorry sir. We didn't expect to be meeting with you so soon."

"So you were unprepared?"

Angelica frowned.

"Not exactly."

"Well, then what was it. You were late and weren't expecting me. Sounds like unprepared to me."

Angelica clenched her fist on the table but the smile on her face remained.

"Well, then I guess we were unprepared. Sorry for the inconvenience."

McKinley didn't acknowledge her apology but only grunted in response. She took the opportunity to start this meeting. Angelica sat down and opened up her folder.

"So, you are filing for divorce against your wife Ida?"

William nodded.

"And you want to divorce her on accounts of adultery?"

McKinley rolled his eyes and waved his hands in the air.

"Yes, yes. We all know why I'm here."

Angelica frowned in pure annoyance.

"I just wanted to make sure. No need to get upset."

He pointed his finger and violently pushed it into the table.

"I simply want to divorce that woman and make sure that she doesn't get her greedy hands on my money!"

Angelica spoke again.

"I understand sir but based on your prenup she is entitled to a fraction of your estate-

"Damn the prenuptial! She is a dirty liar and deserves jack fucking squat!"

Aaron stood up and placed his hands at the table.

"Mr. McKinley I'm going to have to ask you to calm down for a moment. We're here to help you get the most you can out of this settlement but we won't be able to if you dont cooperate with us."

"I'll do whatever the hell I want! Who are you to tell me how to behave."

Micknly waved a finger at the three adults across the table from him.

"You three have clearly never worked with old divorced couples. Well news flash jack asses we usually aren't too friendly" Dolley now stood up in an effort to de-escalate the situation.

"I will have you know that we were highly recommended and we think that we could really help you and your situation."

"Bullshit! Recommended by who?- William locked eyes with Angelica- your father? The only damn reason why I let myself listen to you three is because of the fourth one."

Angelica, Aaron, and Dolley looked at one another. Burr spoke up.

"A fourth?"

Micknly nodded and flipped through his own papers.

"Hamilton. Washington's kid."

Angelica stared at Mckinley.

"I'm sorry but I don't remember Mr. Hamilton being apart of this case."

"I don't expect you to. I signed him on the same day I rescheduled."

Angelica frowned.

"Well, he's not here so I'm afraid you're stuck with us-

And not even 3 seconds passed when the one and only Alexander Hamilton walked in. In that moment Mckinlys face lit up in delight,Aaron sighed in relief, Dolley happily split her own ginormous stack of documents into another half, and Angelica frowned. She was not amused .Aside from the fact that the two of them had just participated in screaming and arguing championship a mere 3 das ago Angelica also found it to b extremely incosiderete that he thought that he could just show up unfashibly lte and take over a case he wasn't even signed onto until a fucking day ago.

"Alexander! My god, how are you son?

Suddenly Mckinley was no longer brooding like a teenage boy. He was now smiling at Alexander as though he was the millions of dollarsh e was trying to kee from his soon-to-be ex-wife. It made Angelica want to gauge her own eyes out.

Alexander grinned back and approached Mckinley with a firm handshake.

"I'm good sir. I just want to thank you for considering me for this case."

Mckinley waved off his appreciation in what could only be described as humble. As though he were not just screaming at the other three people in the room.

"Don't thank me. You're a good lawyer and I trust you! I would expect nothing less from Washington's boy."

Alexander returned a tight lip smile and Angelica inwardly cringed. Referring to Alexander as Washington's boy in private was one thing but doing it infront of him was another. Of course Alexander didn't say anything. He wasn't that dumb. Instead he just nodded and smiled.

After the two mens extremely friendly greeting, Alexander turned to face the three adults he had seemed to forget about.

"So I'm assuming that you've met my colleagues."

Mckinley turned and sneered.

"Yes, we've met."

Alexander looked at Mckinley and then the rest of his coworkers. Angelica would like to think that he held eye contact with her longer than he did with everyone else but then again he could just be glaring at her. Either one would be reasonable. A few moments passed before Alexander clapped his hands together.

"Well, now that I'm here we can finally get this meeting started."

Angelica rolled her eyes hard. This guy had some nerve. Walking in almost half an hour late and then thinking that since he has now blessed everyone with his wonderful presence, they could finally return to their normal schedule.

Mckinley, though, had a very different expression to Alexander making his grand entrance. Instead the old man smiled in agreement and made his way to the head of the table where this entire mess first started.

Alexander soon followed Mckinly's lead but instead of sitting at the end of the table he chose to sit next to dolley,to the left of Aaron, and directly across from Angelica.

Alexander skimmed through the documents that dolley had given him.

"So I notice that your soon to be former spouse has failed to make an appearance."

Aaron opened his mouth to inform Alexander that was going to be taking some personal time before arriving but before he got the chance Angelica intervened.

"Maybe she just just wanted to make everyone anticipate her appearance. Sort of like a grand entrance."

Alexander looked up from his papers to give Angelica an annoyed look. She would never admit it but it satisfied her to know that she was getting under his skin. It was extremely childish but she didn't care. She was in a childish mood.

"That's extremely unprofessional."

Angelica smiled and tapped her fingers on the table.

"I agree. It's like she thinks the world revolves around her."

Alexander frowned.

"Is there something you want to say Miss Schuyler?"

Angelica shook her head.

"Nothing at all Mr Hamilton. Nothing at all."

Alexander furrowed his eyebrows and put his pen at the corner of his mouth.

"I disagree. I feel like there's something you want to say."

"How do you know that I wanted to say anything."

Alexander grinned and shrugged. Now he was under her skin. Well played sir. Well played.

"A feeling."

Angelica scoffed.

"A feeling?"

Alexander shrugged.

"That's what I said."

"And do you get these feelings a lot Mr. Hamilton? Or do you just ignore them."

Alexander's expression hardened.

"Well my feeling are based off of signals and sometimes people give mixed one so it's kind of fucking hard to tell."

The room went silent. Burr , Dolley, and Micknly exchanged awkward glances. Aaron laughed nervously and pushed out his chair.

"I think that I forgot an important paper on the printer so I'm just gonna grab it"

Dolley perked up and nodded in agreement.

"I'll go with you!-and then bless her soul, she stopped and looked at Angelica. I'll catch up with you later."

Angelica turned back to glare at dolley but after she saw her uncomfortable expression she gave dolley a small smile. A signal giving dolley the approval to leave the room. Not that Dolley needed it but Angelica knew that her friend was too kind hearted to leave her stranded in a situation as difficult as this one.

"You know Dolley, I think I forgot somethin =g on my desk. Would you mind getting it for me."

Dolley looked up at Angelica and beamed. It was the first time Angelica had ever seen her smile in a way that showed all her teeth, Angelica couldn't help but admire it. It was a pretty smile.

Dolle looked at Aaron who was looking at her with a sense of adventure in is ees. Though they were still in a professional work setting Angelica could understand where the youthful excitement was coming from. If Angelica had been forced to listen to two specific people argue all day then she would for sure jump at the chance to escape these moments anytime she got. On top of that those free moments were so much more valuable when you had a companion who could relate to the exhaustion on a personal level. Dolley packed up her things and she escaped the notorious conference room hand in hand with Aaron Burr.

Now there were three. A Schuyler, a Hamiltion, and a Micknly. No one said anything. There was no need. Both Alexander and Angelic were fighting a silent battle. If looks could kill the two adults would've left behind a brutal crime scene. After a minute or so the phone rang. Both Angelica and Alexander looked at it at the same exact time and I kid you not they both lunged for it as if they were toddlers. They both tousled over it before Micknl snatched it from both of them.

"Enough! This is a law office not a damn day care for god sakes!"

Micknly signed and answered the phone.

"Hello?-The man took a long pause. Well, well ,well if it isn't the devil herself. Where the hell are you, Ida. This meeting started an hour ago… I don't give a damn that the kids called you. They are grown adults. They can figure out how to do their own damn laundry. My Fault! My fault! You coddled them their entire lives and now at 19 years old they don't know how to do laundry! Damn you Ida. This is why I'm divorcing your evil ass! You play your little mind tricks on me and then you blame it on me! Well I'm sick of it. Sick of it you!"

Angelica couldn't speak for anyone but herself but she was staring in total disbelief. When he expressed his dislike for his soon to be ex wife she thought that he would at least have the decency to be polite to her in public. Especially in the presence of his esteemed colleagues' children but she guessed not.

Mckinley caught her stare and apparently Alexanders matching one and shooed them off.

"Get out! Go!"

Both Alexander and Angelica hastily exited the room without their belongings. They may have been strong headed and independent but both knew the boundaries of their anger prone client. On the way out though they once again resorted to childhood games and fought over who was able to squeeze through the door first. Alexander was moments away from exiting first but Angelica elbowed him and was able to exit first.

"Ah! Son of a bit-

Alexander was about to finish the ending to his vulgar sentence when Angelica hushed him.

"Excuse me sir. Would you mind not using such foul language in the office space."

Alexander stared back at her with an almost appalled look.

"Are you serious right now?"

Angelica rolled her eyes.

"Dead serious."

Alexander stared back at Angelica before his notorious smile widened. And then he laughed.

"Angelica, I haven't had a conversation that lasted more than 2 minutes with you when you haven't decided to throw in a vulgar word here and there."

Angelica rolled her eyes.

"That is not true."

"Yes it is. I swear fuck might just be your favorite word."

"Well at least I know how to spell!"

"Excuse me?"

Alexander looked back at Angelica in pure confusion.

"I said at least I know how to spell."

"I can spell just fine thank you."

" You can't spell hypothetical."

"Alexander crossed his arms.

"Yeah I can."

Angelica shot back.

"No you can't."

"How so?"

"Two weeks ago you wrote hypothetical wrong in your notes."

Alexander frowned.

"How would you know that?"

"Because I'm the one who has to read over your notes dummy!"

It didn't take long for Alexander to

"Well at least I know how to use a printer."

Angelica instantly took offense

"Who said I couldn't use a printer!"

"No one had to say anything. It's pretty obvious."

"I know how to use a printer damnit."

"No you can't"

"Yes I can."

"No you can't. Not properly anyways."

It didn't long for the two to start arguing like children.

"You know what Angelica you are being extremely immature."

"I'm the one being immature. You were the one who was late to a case meeting you weren't even supposed to be o until yesterday!"

"Well Angelica you would know that I was put on the case if you read your goddamn emails!"

Angelica moved closer and pointed her finger in front of Alexander's face.

"Thats because your emails are five fucking pages long!"

"That's because people appreciate the details Angelica. Excuse me for making everyone else's job a little bit more convenient… And get your finger out of my face"

Alexander attempted to swat Angelica's finger away.

"My finger isn;t even in your face."

"Yea it is."

"It's close to your face but it's not in your face."

Alexander scoffed.

"That's the same damn thing."

"No it's not Alexanderrrr."

"Yeah it is Angellicaaaa ."

Both adults dragged out the letters in their names as though they were both still toddlers.

Honestly it was an inconvenience to most individuals present in the office space but they were all to mentallly drained to get involved. Plus their boss's daughter was the one involved in the disruption so they weren't going to risk their jobs for the desired silence. Though nepotism was a bad thing it was also a fragile one and rumors of Philip Schuyler lashing out on others on the behalf of his youngest daughter were not uncommon. Even though most people in the work space didn't get that feeling from Angelica and she was considered a pretty genuine person, not too many young adults were interested in putting their careers on the line to test this theory.

The two continued they're "little" back and forth when Angelica suddenly heard a familiar voice. Angelica turned around and caught Alexander peering over her shoulder. Angelica almost stopped breathing when she saw who it was.

"Angie!"

There was Elizabeth Schuyler smiling and waving her hands over at Angelica.

Angelica's eyebrows cocked in confusion. Don't get her wrong, she loved seeing her sister. Especially when they were surprise visits but what the hell was she doing here.

"Eliza?"

Elizabeth smiled back at her sister even though she noticed the visible confusion on her face.

"Yeah it's me. Aren't you excited to see your favorite little sister."

"Of course I am. I'm just uh surprised to see you."

Elizabeth's face dropped and she instantly looked down at her phone.

"Am I early? I thought you said 12:20 because that's your break but I could be wrong."

Angelica closed her eyes and groaned.

How could she forget. Lunch. They had been planning for weeks. They had both been so busy and barely had any time to catch up with one another and she forgot. She felt horrible.

"Elizabeth! I forgot I am so so sorry. I swear I didn't mean to-

"No Angelica it's fine. I get it." You're a busy girl."

"It's fine. Go ahead."

Both Angelica and Elizabeth turned to see Alexander standing with his hands in his pockets and a small smile.

Angelica looked back at Alexander.

"Pardon?"

Alexander smiled and took out his hand for Elizabeth to shake.

"I'm Alexander-

"I know."

Alexander laughed a little and his charm shone through.

"It's been a long time huh?"

"Yes it has."

"Well Elizabeth I was just saying if you two ladies wanted to go to lunch I wouldn't mind picking up some slack."

Angelica spoke up

"That's not fair Alexander. It's finne. I'll stay."

"Angelica go. Enjoy yourself."

Angelica rolled her eyes.

"I appreciate your kindness but I promise you Elizabeth and I can reschedule."

"Or you could come to brunch."

Angelica and Alexander turned to look at Elizabeth, who had stayed relatively quiet throughout this entire ideal.

" Our parents always host this brunch on saturdays. You could discuss whatever work you have then. Plus our dad will be there so you could turn to him with any legal agreements."

Angelica shot Elizabeht a look but it was no use. Elizabeth was looking straight at Alexander.

"Elizabeth I'm sure that ALexander is busy-

Alexander interrupted to respond.

"I'd love to."

Angelica spoke through her teeth.

"Aren't you busy on saturday?"

"I can clear my schedule."

Angelica was going to argue once again but she soon realized that there was no point. When Alexander set his mind to something there was nothing you could do to change.

"So I'll see you two saturday."

Elizabeth smiled. Angelica did not.

Alexander nodded at both women before making his departure.

Elizabeth looked at Angelica with a beaming expression.

"This is wonderful. Aren't you excited?"

Angelica's expression didn't change. In fact she kept her eyes straight ahead. Stuck on a smug Alexander Hamilton who knew that he had won this one battle in their infamous war.

"Angie?"

Angelica glanced at Elizabeth.

"Yes?"

"I asked if you were excited?"

Angelica huffed.

"Ecstatic."
