AN: Hello. The next chapter of the story. Made for Tumblr user princessquinnella.

Enjoy!

The door of Baker street 221 B ½ blasts open as Basil marches into the flat, angrily.

"I'm a fool! Idiot! I should have known that!"

"But Basil, we all saw him fall from Big Ben. We even thought you might have…" Dawson tried to say while closing the door.

"But I had the propeller of his blimp." Basil reminded him. "I should have confirmed it when his body wasn't found. No cat would go walk in the rain so there wouldn't be any of them nearby."

"But how could he have survived?" Dawson asked.

"I'm not sure. But my guess is it has to do with this." Basil said and showed the vial of pixie dust. "Queen Mabs told us that never fairies need this to fly. It could be possible that when this Quinnella came she passed the Big Ben and some of her dust got into Ratigan which lowered his fall."

"And then a few days later he came and tried to steal the crown of Queen Mabs." Dawson figures.

"Ratigan obviously recognized her by dust, which is why he took her. But after he learned what kind of fairy she is, he has used her talent to make counterfeits." Basil confirms. "Knowing him, Ratigan still wants to rule all of Mousedom, so these jewels are merely practice for something big."

"Practice? What could be more precious…? Oh no, you don't think…"

"Elementary, dear Dawson. All these jewels are identical. If Ratigan could make counterfeit Crown jewels and take the real ones, he could take over all Muosedom."

"Great Scott!" Dawson shouts in shock. "We should inform the police!"

"Like they would believe you." Heard a young voice on the staircase. Both find Elizabeth standing there in her light blue nightgown.

"Elizabeth! How long have you been up?" Dawson asked in surprise.

"Please, I always wake up whenever my uncle comes in like that." she said.

Basil looks suspiciously at his niece. "How much did you hear?"

"That Ratigan actually survived the fall because of…pixie dust." Elizabeth answered.

"You knew about this, didn't you?" Basil figured.

"I had suspicions, but I hadn't no evidence…"

"Evidence?"

"I only know the body wasn't found and that his bell doesn't work on all cats." Elizabeth said. Both looked shocked. "I had catnip when I tested, just in case." she assures. "And today I confirmed it when I spotted peg-leg prints in the Toy store…"

"Toy store? Again?" Basil wondered. "Did you write everything down?"

"See it yourself." Elizabeth said and gave her notebook to him.

Basil took it immediately and read every part.

"What was taken?" Dawson asked.

"Well, not much really. Just three dresses." Elizabeth answered.

"Dresses?" Dawson wondered.

"Yes. One was obviously some elegant princess gown, the second I'm not sure, but it's obviously something fancy too. The third one concerned me. It's a wedding…

"Wedding gown." Basil figures.

"Wedding? You don't think…?" Dawson worries.

"Oh, why else would they steal three dresses from a toy store?" Basil said.

"Well, I'm pretty sure the same reason they stole uniforms for Jubilee." Elizabeth figures. "Not to raise suspicions."

"Especially if everyone thinks he is dead. Ratigan wants to give a spectacular comeback. What could be spectacular then appears wearing Crown jewels, an army to take over England, and a fairy as his queen."

"What? Queen?" Dawson and Elizabeth shouted at the same time.

"I can guess Ratigan has got fancied on this Quinnella fairy. Not only is she talented, but… I guess she is also attractive. What could be a better way to keep her than force her to marry him."

"Oh my…"

"We must save her!" Elizabeth said.

"And we will." Basil said to her. "We just need to know where he is."

"What about his old lair?" Dawson asked.

"I went to see it a week ago. It is abandoned." Basil cleared.

"What was it anyway?" Elizabeth asked.

"An old wine cellar."

"Well, wouldn't that give some ideas where he would set up a new secret lair?" Elizabeth said.

Basil thought a while before he took a map and set it up on the wall.

"I think you should go back to sleep." Dawson said to Elizabeth.

"Fine"

"And you return those old articles of Ratigan from your conspiracy board." Basil said out loud while looking at the map.

Elizabeth groans at that before going to her room. Well, at least he won't send her away.

On the next day, Dawson finds Basil resting on the couch while there were three spots marked on the map. Dawson was a bit relieved that Basil has got some rest, but he should eat something too, before rushing anywhere.

Elizabeth came out dressed as a street boy again.

"Where are you going?" Dawson asked.

"I go talk with my contacts if they know something." Elizabeth said before seeing the marked spots. "I'll also ask irregulars to check those areas."

"Would that be wise?"

"Uncle needs all the strength to save that fairy. And who knows what that rat has planned." Elizabeth said before going out.

"What about breakfast?" Dawson asked. Elizabeth shows a paper bag, meaning she eats them later or shares them with street boys.

Meanwhile somewhere in the sewers…

Ratigan walks into his new lair with Fidget. Just as expected, it is another abandoned wine cellar. However, it was more spacious compared to the last one. This new one was connected in many ways to sewers so that you could easily get lost there if you weren't careful. A perfect place to keep a fairy hidden. With so many pipes and water, she can't escape.

"Is everything set for tonight?" Ratigan asked Fidget.

"All set, boss. We got a table set, music…"

"And the room?"

"Just as you wanted, boss." Fidget said before they entered that particular room.

The room is luxurious red with a huge king-size bed with a wine red canopy, a fancy closet, a dressing table, a huge mirror, and two mannequins with the two dresses Fidget has taken from the Toy store. One of them was a white dress with a ball gown skirt with puffy sleeves to the elbows and continued as a long fitted sleeve. The other dress was a simple light pink dress with a semi-transparent magenta robe with black fluffy trims.

"What do you think, boss?" Fidget asks.

"The room is perfect. But…" Ratigan said while looking at the pink dress with a magenta robe. Suddenly he just tore up the pink dress under it leaving the semi-transparent magenta robe. "There. Everything is ready now." he said, smirking.

"Why did you do that, boss?" Fidget asked curiously.

"Because this is meant to be for a wedding night." Ratigan said with a smirk. Fidget soon realizes what he was after, and chuckles evilly. "Now…How's the future queen of mine?"

"Stopped crying. And the jewels are ready for the next rob."

"Excellent. After this, we move to the main target." Ratigan said. "And with her by my side, I'll have it all!" He declares before laughing evilly.

"Um… what about Basil?"

Ratigan froze when he heard that name. "What did you say?" He growls angrily. Fidget was about to leave but the rat stumped on his only leg, which made the bat whine. "You DARE mention his name in front of me!" Fidget was preparing for the worst to happen but Ratigan started to think. "However… it's a matter of time before he comes after us. I'll put someone to watch over there. And if he plans to play a hero… Oh, I'll be ready as always."

AN: The white dress is same design like in Labyrinth movie.
