Author's notes: So after uploading Chapter 5, I decided to go back and reread a bit of the original story, and I began to realize something... my formatting wasn't the only issue with the original story. I actually failed to keep continuity in a few very important moments.
For example, in Chapter 8 of the original story, Aaron Boreal didn't notice the Visualizer Luna was wearing despite him being the one who gave it to Geo in the first place. And in Chapter 10, I had Geo be the one to notice Luna's odd behavior despite the fact that he doesn't even freaking know her that well at the time! Heck, even in Chapter 2, I mistook which part of the day Luna and her friends confronted Geo on the game's second day and even made it seem like they've been confronting him for a long time now when that was actually only the second day.
I think the reason why I made these mistakes was because I was focused so much on what was happening in the moment and trying to adapt it for Luna, that I failed to factor in the important context of the characters and scenarios. And actually, I think I did a poor job of adapting the scenarios for Luna as well. So... yeah. I've gotta be more careful about that.
Star Force Ark, Chapter 6: Making Amends
The next few days were mostly normal. However, each day, after school ended and she finished her Student Council duties, Luna would go to the Wave Road to vent her stress on some random viruses. While she was there, she found an EM being that sold her some HP Memories and Battle Cards, though she couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a Navi, a Hertz, or something else entirely. Sometimes, destroying viruses got her Battle Cards that she would switch into her Folder, while other times she'd either get a seemingly random amount of Zenny or a Battle Card she didn't feel like using.
After a while, she would return to the real world and head home before trying to learn more about this "Kelvin" person Omega-Xis mentioned, either through talking with Omega-Xis or using her computer. As she learned more about him, she found herself admiring him a bit and regretting that she wasn't able to meet him in person. Upon learning that he was actually Geo's father and had disappeared along with the Space Station "Peace", she quickly came to regret her forceful attempts to try to get him to come back to school.
However, these days weren't entirely peaceful, as Luna would hear rumors of various objects around the town being destroyed. Omega-Xis didn't think these incidents were related to the FM-ians pursuing him, but she decided to keep an eye out for them just to be sure. Wanting to figure out just what was going on, she had Bud and Zack prepare a scouring car so they could look for the perpetrator.
On that night, Luna went up to Vista Point and noticed Geo standing on the metal balcony by himself, appearing to be looking for something, and decided to approach him. As soon as he noticed her, he began to groan. "What are you doing here?", he asked, causing her to pause for a moment.
"Actually... I wanted to apologize.", Luna said, "I did some thinking, and I guess I was being a bit too forceful... I'm sorry."
Caught off guard, Geo was about to reply until he noticed something. "W-Wait... that's the Visualizer that Mr. Boreal gave me...", he said, catching Luna's attention, "So you're the one who found it?"
"O-Oh, you mean these glasses?", Luna asked while pulling them off of her head, "I just found them here one morning... I didn't know who they belonged to, so..." This was a lie, of course, as she already knew that they belonged to Geo, but she wanted to hide the fact that she had been watching him the night he discarded them. Hearing this, Geo sighed in response.
"I tossed them away because I got annoyed.", he said, "I regretted it the next day and came back to look for them, but I couldn't find them anywhere." He then looked up to Luna. "But as long as they weren't picked up by someone sketchy, it's fine. You can keep them." Hesitating for a moment, Luna put the Visualizer back on her forehead. "B-By the way, how's that guy... I think his name was Bud?"
"O-Oh, him?", Luna replied, caught off guard, "H-He's doing fine. He and Zack are currently driving around the town in the scouring car we prepared."
Geo gave a relieved sigh in response. "That's a relief.", he said, "I honestly don't know what happened back there. It felt like something was pulling on my arm, but... Wait, what's a scouring car?"
"U-Um... basically, we're going around the town to try to find the person responsible for the recent incidents.", Luna said, "You can join us if you want." There was a brief pause as Geo thought it over.
"Sorry, but I'm not interested.", Geo replied, "But... thanks for offering. I'm gonna head home now." Geo then began to walk off.
"A-Ah, be careful on your way home!", Luna shouted to him. After a few moments, he disappeared from sight.
"Well, that was a surprise.", Omega-Xis said, "I honestly didn't expect you to apologize to him."
Sighing, Luna pulled the Visualizer over her eyes and turned to Omega-Xis. "I... after learning about Kelvin's disappearance, I felt bad for trying to force him to come back to school.", Luna said, "I still think he should come back, but trying to force it while he's still dealing with his dad's disappearance will just make things worse."
"Is that so...", Omega-Xis replied, "Anyway, don't you think it's time you get back with your friends?" This caused Luna to pause for a moment as she thought.
"Yeah, you're probably right.", she replied, "Let's go." Putting the Visualizer back on her forehead, she began walking off toward the town.
