Prologue

"Oh - uh - hello." I said to the man.

The vision's of him I had, did not convey the aura around him.

He felt dangerous.

"My dear Cassie, you are even more beautiful than I had imagined." He whispered.

I did my best to not let him see me shiver.

The Dark Lord was white, ghostly white. And I wished he wouldn't come closer.

"You do not seem surprised to see me." He whispered as he walked over to me.

I panicked for a second.

"I knew the Malfoy's were Death Eaters. When you returned, I knew it was a matter of time before we finally met. However, I thought that our meeting was going to be later this summer." I kept my back straight, but I looked at Voldemort.

I didn't want him to see me afraid.

He smiled and held out his hand for me.

I hesitated before taking it.

"Are you sure you didn't see me in a vision?" He whispered.

I stiffened at that.

"I don't -"

"Do not lie to me, Cassie. Mr. Warrington told his parents about your lineage." He hissed.

My eyes widened at that.

"I am a Black."

The smack echoed through the room.

My head was turned to the right and I saw fear flash through Narcissa's but it was gone quickly.

"We know you are a Seer." He hissed at me.

The sting from when he hit me started to become noticeable.

"If you will forgive me, sir, but Cassius and -" I started.

"DO NOT SAY HIS NAME!" Othello roared.

I dared to look over at him. His face was a mixture of red and purple.

"Silence!" Voldemort didn't raise his voice, but it did the trick.

"Do continue, Cassie, you won't be interrupted again." Voldemort tried to smile, but it looked grotesque.

"We never spoke about my lineage. I thought that was my secret to keep, but I was wrong." I finished.

Voldemort let out a laugh and circled around me.

"Tell me, Cassie, do you know how to procure your visions?" He put a hand on my back and walked me over to an empty seat beside Snape.

"No sir, I've been practicing different ways but I'm afraid I haven't been able to bring one forth." I admitted as I sat down stiffly next to the Potion's Master.

"Of course, of course. Not all Seer's are able to procure visions. But you do receive visions, yes?" The Dark Lord asked.

"Yes, sir." I nodded.

There was suddenly a burst of mutterings around the table we were seated at.

"Narcissa, why don't you take Draco upstairs? We'll get better acquainted with Cassie." Voldemort made it sound like a suggestion, but I can hear the order in his tone.

"Yes, my lord." She nodded.

Draco looked at me with wide eyes as Narcissa put her arm around his shoulders and led him out.

I watched as the door closed and then the reality of the situation I was in started to hit me.

I was in a Death Eater meeting.

I had no allies.

I was on my own.

My hair was already silvery blonde, but I'm sure it turned paler.

"Now, let's get started." Voldemort took his place at the head of the table.

WELCOME! I am so sorry this took so long! I really needed to find my flow again. I had an idea of how I wanted it to end, and I currently have that written down, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to get this started! I appreciate your patience and I appreciate you being here!
