Yonduweek day Four
Theme. Fight
Fight to the Highest Mountain
Everyone heard the rumble first followed by the acrid smell filtering thou the decks, whilst Iztel and Horuz just stepped out, unscathed as people run through them trying to put them out. "Next one" ordered Horuz as Iztel activated the next timer and another bomb went off.
Yondu had created them, there was enough accelerant to cause a disturbance and confusion but not enough to kill anyone, as someone sent a message to the captain, informing him of this. Hoping that he wasn't ignoring them by being too occupied with Kraglin's body.
Further up the deck, Kraglin felt paralysed as Riddhi suddenly stopped what he was going and gave a sneer, "I need to sort this out, but don't move…well you can't and I'll be right back" followed by his evil laugh, and he left the room locking the door behind him
However, it was a good minute before Kraglin quickly got to his feet, the antidote which Yondu brushed across his lips before kissing him, had worked a treat. Aside from that all Kraglin had was a slight headache, which passed as he put his mind to work and began tearing and pulling boxes around the room. Knowing what he was looking for and a reminder if this went balls up would the captain make him clean his room before killing him?
As organisation went and things which were people's trophies, he was insane for the stuff he collected. Kraglin noted there was almost nothing in the way of money, jewels and units, until he came across a small metal boy and pulling the lid off saw a familiar red crest, and just grinned.
Throughout the Elector there were scenes of chaos, as people didn't know where to turn as the explosions continued whilst on the lower levels Horuz and Iztel the latter who had pummelled anyone who had tried to stop him, had blue blood on his hands whilst Horuz stated the obvious but for anyone who just didn't get it,
"We're taking the captain down, we're sick of it, with it or not Yondu's got a plan". For some reason and the treat of Iztel, seemed to do the trick and weapons were turned in the opposite direction. They had orfes from Yondu to main but not to kill however they were all waiting, and it was depending on one more thing as they went up to the next deck and the next.
However, Yondu stared at the wall in the Brig, he had heard the explosions going off and knew they were going to plan, but he didn't know about Kraglin and out of being more absentminded, he picked up an old nail on the ground and etched his name on the wall which was more about of tradition and contained many others.
Some he knew and some who he had heard of, having moved on, or who were dead. There was a stench in the Brigs that was not designed for comfort after all. But tapping his finger on the wall when he was done as before him, Yondu heard movement, as the armour plating dropped down followed by the Xandarian.
"Took you long enough. Glad you're, ok?" quipped Yondu, internally relieved to see that Kraglin was fine and didn't appear harmed, whilst he was filled in on what was happening.
"So, all going to plan…but are you ready to do this?"
This would be the hardest part, in the folds of Kraglin's arms were Yondu's fin and arrow, and all someone had to do was connect them. But it would be Kraglin who remembered how this impacted Yondu the first time around, and Yondu saw the pale look on Kraglin's face before reiterating.
"I'll talk ya through it, look I trust you. That's it". And sitting on the floor since the brig didn't have seats, Yondu pulled off his bandana, revealing the crater in his head and began to instruct Kraglin.
This felt laborious, and the Kraglin had minutes and it didn't stop Yondu winching, as the Yaka was reinserted and wired up, with Kraglin and his small toolkit work on it being embedded into Yondu's scalp.
"Don't worry about it, you're doing fine. And when it's done, I'll go to a professional,", stated Yondu whilst Kraglin agreed it was a good idea, and feeling the metal going into Yondu's brain in an imitation of the fin he once had which had been cut off.
Yondu was beginning to feel nauseous but swallowed it down, it didn't have to be perfect, but it just had to work and gritted his teeth as he felt like Kraglin was poking around in his brain. However, with the hum began to feel the fireworks under his skull as a sigh it was working, and Yondu finally concluded it was.
It was crude, rudimentary, but Yondu took the arrow made up take something he hadn't held in forever and with a faint whistle it sifted out in the air and just hovered. Whilst Kraglin looked like he was going to collapse from relief. Yondu had stated it was his heart, not his head which controlled the arrow, Yondu was sure his heart grew three sizes that day.
Yondu felt almost euphoria at this as Kraglin gave him the holster for the arrow, and with a low whistle went back to his rightful place and Yondu even under the circumstances felt prouder and taller.
Whilst Kraglin sent a message to Horuz who as he was crossing the deck to get closer, activated the stitch and most of the wall ripped off from the brig, leaving a massive hole in the wall, and Horuz just standing there looking impressed with himself.
"You know you were only meant to blow the bloody doors off right". Stated Yondu as the pair left the room and joined him and the group travelled farther up the decks.
People were confused about what was going on and tried to fight back, whilst Yondu stated "You deserve a better captain than him". Which for most of them, seemed to turn more in their minds and apart from a few, to which Yondu didn't blame them since loyalty to a crew was essential to a Captain and he was asking them to throw it away in a second.
In the end, however, it was quite a large group that was followed by an internally clueless Yondu as the word "mutiny" travelled through the decks. For some who had heard it before it had always been an empty threat, and one that would cut you down in a heartbeat.
However, those knowing what Riddhi did, and was doing to Kraglin, and seeing the Ravager stepping up, had in the recess of their body tapped into that area of nobility that Ravagers and their stupid code pretended to have. And one by one, more of then turned. Riddhi was a madman and had to be stopped, and more turned towards the idea of a new Captain, anyone but him.
With more going to their side, Yondu and Kraglin were about scale the shafts for an exit, when the door suddenly opened and there stood Iztel, with a huge grin on his face which was plastered with blue blood.
"This is fucking awesome". Noting that Horuz wasn't far behind him and the rest too, they went through decks to find Riddhi, noting more joining up with them, like they were his private army. The few that didn't join them, with a whistle, Yondu's arrow buried deep and hot into legs and shoulders, to incapacitate but he didn't want to kill anyone, but it didn't stop the Elector deck looking a deep blue against the metal.
Yondu didn't care about a new Captain all he wanted was to stop Riddhi, as one of the Ravagers crossed his path, a tall guy with greasy hair, and his face covered with goggles, and Yondu couldn't remember if he had ever taken those damn things off.
"It's a mutiny, forget the Clan of Riddhi this is now the Clan of Tazerface" he bellowed and one second later, he was punched in the face by Iztel who grabbed his head and slammed it into a deck pole. Almost casually even though it happened in seconds, Iztel grabbed him and threw him over until they heard the thud of him falling thirty decks below.
Even with the chaos, all paused and just looked over "Was his name Tazerface, which type of bitch name is that?" asked Kraglin since this mutiny within the mutiny was over in seconds.
"God know…name like a bitch and did anyone notice he screamed like one when he fell". Asked Horuz, who let the moment slide since casualties were expected amongst the most stupid. The group went further into the Elector, wondering where the hell Riddhi was throughout the smoke.
As the group came to a deck crossroads, from the shadows stepped out an imposing figure, and almost involuntary Krlaign shrunk back. The air was thick with smoke and anticipation as the captain stepped forward with all authority and everyone hushed and danced on his every word.
"You twisted sack of shit, thinking what you could mutiny, and I'd just step away and let you. Oh, you have no idea what you started. For you Iztel. I'll rip both your arms off. Horuz, oh I'm going to have you, followed by Kraglin for dessert, whilst you watch Yondu, whilst you watch over and over again".
Yondu's eyes narrowed and with a hum of radiation his arrow however in the air, but not as well as Yondu would have liked and to his credit, that Captain looked at it pathetically, and reminded Yondu of that "Oh your "little arrow", full credit to you Krlaign, faking the entire thing.
Bet you fake with him the entire time, but cut me down with that, and that's what you're remembered for. For taking out a Captain like a coward, too pathetic to face me himself but what do you expect from a liberated slave".
The laugh that followed was so menacing that Yondu's eyes narrowed, and with a short whistle it was removed from sight and to everyone's surprise into Kraglin's hands "Hold that for me would ya" uttered Yondu and every other outcome was impossible and not end to this.
"I don't want to be Captain; I don't care about that…I just want to take you down"
And with a flourish, Yondu's red coat dropped to the ground, and he made his stance.
"Oh, you think you can best me". Riddhi said, dropping his coat and the pair circled each other, and one was a Captain and the other a traumatised Kree liberated battle slave. Everything Yondu knew came back to him at that moment and he moved in a way that surprised everyone and seemed to pounce on Riddhi like an animal.
Knocking him to the floor, there was nothing gentlemen or merciful about it. Just pain, pure violence by a man who knew better now, but didn't care as a demon was unleashed within him
Yondu just rained blow after blow on Riddhi's head, and face, the sounds of cracking teeth could be heard, and blood, red but brighter than Peter's began to spill from his mouth. Followed by the sounds of his skull cracking, the fragile bones moving under the surface of the skin.
For Ravagers, this was graphic as Riddhi, tried to move a hand up. To try to fight off Yondu but it was futile, and his hand fell back to the deck with a thud.
Yondu just rained down until his own hands were bloody but did not care, and no one else did. So close to Riddhi's chest she could see the chest slowing down, and death was coming and inevitable. But even that was too easy.
Yondu could feel Riddhi's legs twitching, as he opened his hands, and pressed both thumbs into the Xandarian eyes.
Riddhi tried to scream, his legs twitching beneath Yondu's whose expression never changed as he dug deeper, feeling the man's eyes disintegrating under the force of Yondu's weight, as he pressed deeper.
Blood now pouring from his eye sockets, his broken mouth gasping for air, Yondu gripped his eight fingers to the side of Riddhi's face and pressed further with all his strength, without warning and without mercy.
For the Ravagers they were shocked by all this, just the sheer brutality of their Captain increasing his full anger on the Xandarian, as Riddhi's brain exploded from the back of his skull. This caused his brain matter to shower over the floor and splash up at Yondu, who didn't stop until the man who's laughed haunted so many people finished twitching.
That was it the bastard was dead.
