Phase 3: Pool Assault
The Agents grab their weapons and gear. Ark is wielding an MP5, Leon grabbing a G3KA4 battle rifle and Elza uses an SG 550 SR DMR and a W1200 pump-action shotgun.
Leon grabs a Desert Eagle to go along with his sidearm. "This will come in a pinch," Leon said.
"Let's do this," Elza to slap on a Hybrid sight and a bipod grip on the SG 550 SR. The trio exit out of the save room to go into the dark hallways with them hearing moans in the distance.
"Right out of a horror movie," Ark said holding onto his MP5 tightly as they carefully move through the ship.
"We are in horror movies on the job," Leon said dryly as Morpheus is watching from the cameras to not see them coming out of the save room.
"So, the legendary Ark Thompson. The mistress's business partner will be very interested that he is here," Morpheus said to see they are going toward the pool section. "Time to step it up," he contacts his Undertaker units within the pool section of the ship.
"Seek and destroy them," he ordered as several Grunts along with a bigger Undertaker called a Heavy wielding an M249 light machine gun. The troops go into position to block them from going into the area.
The trio is walking through the dark halls with lights flicking out with shadows dancing on the walls. "This ship used to be filled with life and now it's a ghost ship filled with weird soldiers and monsters," Elza said to feel sorry for the people losing their lives in the chaos.
"This is just like that time we were in those ships fighting the T virus," Leon said.
"Yeah, another group of people trying to ruin other's lives either for profit, belief or some other nonsense," Ark said
"Umbrella has been selling their Bioweapons right and left to make up for cost since they fucked up in Raccoon City," Elza said.
"Yep. They keep dodging the law ever since, even the bioterror attacks within South Korea with the Northern Stars which we have found using Umbrella BOWs and viruses. Yet they push it under the rug and said it was a rogue element of the company who did it," Leon said.
"Sounds too familiar," Ark said to fix up his green jacket.
"Indeed, and now we are dogging Umbrella for years. Trying to slow down the Raccoon Trails," Leon said to Elza.
"I can see that, all the secrets, military projects, and giving away their BOWs to rebels, terrorists, and hostile governments to buy themselves time. Then they shift the blame when an attack happens by a rogue element," Elza said to feel sick thinking about it.
"Yeah, I am hoping this would come to end. Taking out one evil company is enough," Leon said sounding disheartened by this statement.
"I know we will stop these assholes from causing more harm," Elza said with hope filling up her tender voice.
"You are always the optimistic one," Leon said to admire her cheerful disposition.
"Thanks, sweetie. That's me," Elza said as they hear barking noises as a pack of Cerberuses comes storming into the hallways.
"Oh crap," Ark said as they open fire on the dog pack to take out a few but Leon and Elza gets tackled by the dogs with Ark dodging their lunges. They counterattack by blasting them in the back to kill them off.
Leon kicks the beast off him and shoots it into the head with his Desert Eagle to see its head blow open like a melon. He fires more shoots to take out 3 more dogs as Elza rolls into another room to dodge another lunge from the mutant canine.
She sets her PDW in 3 round burst to tear into the head of the dog with a single burst while she takes out another dog in the head with precise shots.
Ark avoids the last incoming Cerberuses as he sticks one with a grenade for the blast takes out the rest becoming a red mist.
"Impressive, it is expected from high-tier agents of the US government. It's like out of one of your cliché superhero comic books," Morpheus said through the speakers within the area.
"You must be Morpheus," Ark said to be on alert.
"Of course, you are within my ship and I don't tolerate your presence here," Morpheus said.
"Why turn all the people into zombies, why?" Elza asked as the man let out a cruel laugh.
"This was an experiment and I wanted to see how it turns out. Seems like everyone but you all manage to survive," Morpheus said.
"You are going to pay for that, all these innocent lives for your sick curiosity," Elza getting worked up but Ark stops him.
"Don't let him get into your head, he is trying to toss us off our game," Ark said.
"Your days are numbered, you have no idea about how deep you're in," Morpheus said.
"Maybe you can enlighten us on that, what are you planning to do with your secret lab here?" Leon asked.
"Well, that is for you to find out if you are not a corpse in a few minutes," Morpheus said to flip a switch for more BOWs are coming for them. "If I kill you two along with the others. The top dog will make me have a massive promotion in the ranks," Morpheus said as everyone looks on with confusion.
"What are you talking about?" Leon asked as Morpheus enjoys their cluelessness about the true gravity of the situation they are in.
"It wouldn't matter since you will be dying soon anyway," Morpheus said to turn off the speakers.
"What was that about?" Ark wondered.
"He likes the sound of his voice," Elza said to be wary like the others about more BOWs showing up. "What is this guy's deal?" Elza asked.
"Yeah, this guy was used as a scapegoat by Umbrella for why the Arkley mansion got destroyed but we all know this was a bald-faced lie," Leon said.
"Yeah, Umbrella is falling apart with factions trying to take control over it. It's nuts," Ark said as they hear groans from a vent nearby.
They see two Chimeras appearing before them as the two human/fly hybrids go after them to climb and bounce off the walls. One of the Chimeras kicks Ark onto the floor with Elza knocking it back with a shotgun blast to fall back.
"You okay Ark?" Elza asked as she fires another buckshot to take down the Chimera.
"I am fine, just shaken," Ark said to get back onto his feet to fire onto a leaping Chimera. The BOW jumps over their heads to shake off the bullets it has just taken. Leon fires single shots from his battle rifle into the Chimera's head to drop it onto the floor.
Leon fires more precise shots to take out more Chimeras coming out of the vents to get in headshots. Elza rapid fires to cut into the chest and head of a Chimera.
They manage to push them back as they disappear into the vents as they reached the pool area to see weird fleshy blobs on top of the ceilings.
"This looks familiar," Ark said as they look at a huge pool to see Hunter Gammas swimming under the water's surface. The big frog-like humanoid beast leaps out of the pool to show off its long tongues.
"Oh barnacles," Elza said as the large beast is charging toward them with its huge mouth and let out a powerful scream.
Leon fires his Battle Rifle to put a few shots into its face to make it drop onto the floor. "That was anti-climactic," she said.
"These Hunter Gammas are strong and fast but with well-placed shots, they are easy to take down when you know what you are doing," Leon said knowing from experience.
They go forward to see more Hunter Gammas clinging to the walls and falling onto the floor. They count two BOWs with one on either side of them to close them off from escaping.
Leon takes the front while Elza and Ark take the back to open fire with the big frog monsters moving at fast speeds bouncing around the whole hallway trying to avoid their bullets. They manage to put enough bullets into the bodies to drop them to the floor.
"Well better keep moving and be wary of these Hunter Gammas or you will become frog food," Leon said as they go into the pool area to see Undertaker units wielding MP5s, G3KA4s, and W1200s while having backup consisting of Cerberuses and an Undertaker Heavy unit using an M249 Light Machine Gun and equipped with a damage-resistant armored bodysuit and helmet.
"Those are trained BOWs and they got a Heavy unit. We better be careful," Ark said as they spread out to get into position with Elza looking through her rifle's scope and firing the first shot into a Grunt's head to take it down.
The Undertakers are on full alert for the Cerberus bark at the three US agents to go after them without fear as the Heavy pinning down Elza with its machine gun.
Two Cerberuses go after Ark who manages to take one down with a single burst from his MP5 as he blocks the second one's bite with his gun. The dog backs away to fling the gun into a corner to go after Ark again as he draws out his GP-100 magnum revolver to take a couple of shots to put the monster dog down.
"Hush Puppy," Leon quickly takes out the third Cerberus as he rolls out of the path of the lunging dog to put shots into its dog killing it. Leon tosses a flashbang to blind a squad of grunts with Elza getting in headshots to finish them off to leave the Heavy left.
Leon tosses a flashbang to blind the Heavy for Elza and rolls onto another piece of cover. "Thanks, babe," Elza said as she switches to her shotgun and blow off the monster dog's head with blood shooting out of its broken neck slot.
"No problem, we are wearing them down," Leon said as the last Cerberus tries to attack him with a leaping tackle but he kicks it to knock it on its back. Leon drives his knife into its neck and severs it from its head.
Elza fires her SG 550 SR to hit the armored Heavy to only make it angry to turn its gun onto her as she goes back into cover. The hail of gunfire is holding back as Leon finds fire grenades to toss them into the Heavy to set the Undertaker on fire. Its wails of pain echo through the pool area until it falls over to put out the flames
Elza aims through the scope of her DMR and sees the Heavy trying to get out of the pool but it's missing its helmet. She puts a single bullet into its head killing it instantly with red filling up the pool
"Well that takes care of that," Leon said as Ark goes to grab his fallen MP5 to hold it by the buttstock to see it's covered in infected dog spit.
"Great, I need to drip this in the pool," Ark said going over to the pool and letting his gun wash over in the cool water.
Leon goes into a room to see a weird key on a table. "This is it, one down and two to go," Leon said to put it into a pouch.
"Oh well, good job on that," Morpheus said in a mocking tone on the speakers. "Don't worry, it will only get harder to grab the next two keys. Good luck with that," Morpheus said.
"Do you have Sherry with you?" Elza asked feeling worried about her young friend.
"Oh yes the girl, don't worry. She is nice and safe within her room, she makes good bait for me to draw you out and kill you," Morpheus said.
"You are not getting away with this," Leon said as the researcher laughs at this.
"I am counting on that, have fun with the beasties," Morpheus said.
"Well at least we are getting close to the lab and saving Sherry," Elza said to finish cleaning her gun.
"Yeah, let's go back to the safe room and regroup on our next move," Leon said as the trio head back for they manage to recover one of the keys with them getting closer to finding the ship's secret lab.
Sherry is within her room to see the show taking place as Leon and the others managed to grab one of the three keys which will allow them access into the labs where she is held captive.
"Alright, they can handle this," Sherry said to the speakers with Morpheus being annoyed by this.
"Doesn't matter, I have more toys at my fingertips and I will be seeing them dead. You will watch as they fail to save you," Morpheus said to cut off the line.
"Come on guys, I am waiting for you," Sherry said as she is still stuck in her room waiting for her friends to come to her aid.
