Interlude 1
Grimm Live Stream by random Faunus101, Remnant News, Viewers.
The Faunus that was Live Streaming the incoming Grimm was not aware, but a news channel had begun streaming his stream on their news channel.
"As you can see Scarlet, things seem to be going quite badly at Menagerie." A male news reporter wearing a black suit with sleek black hair and light blue eyes could be seen commenting about the stream as it continues.
"Yes, I can see that Azul. This may just be the worst Grimm invasion of all time, with 3 Titan-level Grimm and thousands of Run-on-Sight Grimm for weaker huntsmen and huntresses, not to mention the thousands of random Grimm participating while riding on other Grimm's backs." A female News Reporter with scarlet red hair and dark blue eyes wearing a red dress is sitting next to the male news reporter as she also comments on the Livestream.
In the comments of the stream, many people are asking what is happening as they have never seen a concentration of Grimm this massive, while others are laughing at the misfortune of the Faunus.
A particular donation message pops up in front of everyone in bolded letters.
"Those Faunus are gonna get what they deserve. Who cares about what happens to a couple of animals-" The message is terminated as fast as it came as the news reporters try to distract the people from it by commenting about the 3 types of Titan Grimm there.
"That's a pretty big Sea Feilong, right? I remember when one had shown in the sea between Mistral and Vale it was not that big." Said the male reporter.
"The Queen lancer is bigger as well, but what I'm wondering about is that middle one. It does not look like any Grimm we know of. Perhaps this is a new Titan Grimm that we had not seen ever in history?" The female reporter said as she pointed toward Karibudis.
"Why did it awaken just now then? Is the famed 'Sacred Spruce' perhaps something that attracts Grimm? Or perhaps it's the unknown energy of Menagerie that's attracting the Grimm?" The male reporter looks toward the female reporter as he tries to move away from the topic of the Grimm to not scare the viewers.
"I don't know for sure, but I'd like to see what the so-called god of faunus is going to do about this disaster if he exists." The female reporter mentions before focusing on the screen as the Faunus who was streaming the Grimm suddenly changed the scene to the temple, showing all of the Faunus looking towards the Eagle familiar. The Streamer had taken a further distance from the temple so that this time the mist that appears doesn't end the stream.
Speaking of the Mist, Mist suddenly begins to gather inside of the temple as the sound that had the 4 kingdoms on edge last time reappears, this time without cutting out after the first sentence.
"My children, please calm down. You are all safe. The woods will protect you from all of the weaker ones, and the storms shall protect you from the stronger ones." The ancient and powerful voice of Horus sounds out as all of the Faunus are shown visibly calm down, opting to whisper praises to their god while smiling.
The sound of a person with a silver crown asking a question to the god is there but it's too far away to get a clear understanding of what he is asking.
"You are correct, Ghira. I said I would not be able to handle ALL of them if they came at once. Not only are all of those 3 some of the weaker Titans who did not siphon my energy, but they are only 3. I also said that I would not be able to deal with all of them QUICKLY. It hurts my old heart hearing that you have such little faith in me." Deep rumbling laughs are sounded from the temple once the god stops talking, the person now named Ghira with a silver crown seems to bow while saying an apology to the god.
"Do not worry, my child. I take no offense from that, I understand that these conditions would seem terrible for mortals, but this is merely an annoyance for me. Calm your hearts and steel your faith, I shall deal with this. Now, please excuse me as I go deal with this. Stay within my temple, you are safe in the heart of our city." The sound of the god ends as the mist dissipates and the familiar eagle that was circling the statue during the mist lands at the front of the statue in its regular spot. The faunus who is streaming this moves the view towards the Grimm.
"What do you think about this, Azul? The god said that this disaster is a mere annoyance to him. Do you think he's bluffing?" The female reporter takes her eyes off of the screen as she turns to her co-worker.
"I personally think he's not lying. I mean, did you see that recording of an Atlas Aircraft jet being obliterated into nothing by lightning when they were engaging Menagerie before they retreated?" As he talks about that clip, the screen changes to a video of an aircraft moving quickly towards Menagerie, before the storm sends out a ray of lightning that engulfs the entire jet, before ending and leaving nothing behind.
"If this so-called god is right about the wood keeping out all of the weaker Grimm, and the lightning taking down the stronger Grimm, the only thing they have to worry about is the titans." He comments once the clip ends and the stream returns to the Faunus's live recording.
"That is true, but once again, what are they gonna do about the Titan themselves? They are the biggest obstacle right no-" As the female reporter is about to comment on how hopeless it is against the titans, a glowing white wall of light appears between all of the incoming Grimm and the Stream, ranging all the way to the ends of their visions, and reaching all the way up into the clouds.
The reporters are clearly too shocked to say anything as they just gape at the recording, and the camera people quickly change the channel to only showing the recording to cover up the reporters' shock.
Not that the people would blame them anyway, everyone watching from home or at their jobs and even in the streets are right now mirroring the reporters' faces. To construct a wall that big that it reaches the end of someone's vision in mere seconds? Is this the power of a god? Is Horus actually a god? Holy Horus does have a pretty good ring to it…
Those were the thoughts of most people.
Once everyone snaps out of their daze the comments of the stream explode in people asking what that wall of light is.
All of the scientists in all 4 kingdoms are running around wondering what in the actual fuck could make that type of effect, some of the dumber ones trying to say it's dust before being shut down brutally because 'what type of dust does that huh?'
The video keeps playing showing nothing else for a couple of minutes before an Energy Beam makes a hole through the wall. After a minute, it ends and the wall repairs itself quickly as the hole is patched.
Everyone murmurs about what that energy beam is before a scream is sounded and everyone turns to the temple to see a humanoid black creature crawling out of a black gate in the ground as it growls.
As everyone is about to run, the creature is obliterated by a beam of white light, and mist seeps into the temple once again.
"Oops, I apologize about that my children. I was not aware of a Grimm that could teleport and thus forgot to make anti-teleportation wards. Oopsies. Do not worry though, I would not let you all get hurt from something so silly as my oversight." The reassuring voice of their god sounded out as all of the Faunus breathed a sigh of relief and cheered their god on once again, the mist disappearing and everyone chanting their god's name.
Everyone in the four kingdoms was shocked. A teleporting Grimm that can just appear anywhere no matter what? How will they deal with something like that? Does their kingdom have those anti-teleportation wards? If not then what will they do to stop the Grimm from just teleporting into their homes?
The Wall of Light falls as the world sees that only 3 Grimm are remaining, the 3 Titans. In the sky, a hole in the storm grows as 3 dots of light glow in the night sky among the stars, yet glowing brighter than any star next to them.
Just as the Faunus were asking what those dots were, a loud sound of several energy beams being fired sounds out as the camera shows 3 different beams of Moonlight enveloping the titan Grimm, causing the Grimm to scream in pain and anger. Eventually, the beams fade, leaving behind nothing as all of the Grimm are obliterated.
Looking into the sky, a shadowed figure is standing in front of the moon. It has the head of an eagle, sharp talons for hands that are fitting for a winged predator, and glowing moon wings. After the smallest second of time, the figure disappears into motes of moonlight as they slowly disappear into the night sky.
Everyone watching the Livestream was sitting at the edge of their seat as they watched the empty sky with mouths hanging open in shock and eyes widened beyond what should be physically possible.
A moment in the world where not a single sound could be heard anywhere you looked, nature itself growing quiet.
Just as the silence came, it left just as fast.
The entire world began screaming.
Whether it was the Faunus who were crying and thanking their god profusely as they all bowed and kneeled to his statue in gratitude and worship, or the civilians of the 4 kingdoms screaming about the power they had witnessed that would be powerful enough to wipe out 3 Titan Grimm in a matter of minutes, while the government and leaders of each kingdom became green in fear of that power as well as envy and greed.
Everyone knew that today would be a day marked down in history forever.
The day that the worst disaster in the world was turned.
Turned into the biggest miracle in the world.
And it was all thanks to the God of the Sky, Storms, Faunus, Power, and the Moon.
God-King Horus.

…
After the Livestream, Beacon academy tower, Ozpin.
Ozpin takes a sigh as he rubs his temples, looking in front of him at the meeting currently in place in his office.
All of the headmasters of each Huntsmen Academy are all here, Qrow Branwen, the strongest huntsmen of Vale, Glynda Goodwitch, Secretary of Beacon Academy as well as future Headmistress, and Headmaster Theodore's right-hand woman, Rumpole.
"I'm just saying Ozpin, you've been extremely tight-lipped about what happened in Menagerie and what you and James spoke about to this god person. Not to mention what we have just seen today." Qrow, the strongest huntsmen of Vale, a black-haired drunkard with red eyes and an unkempt beard speaks out with surprising fluency showing that he is sober for once.
"Yes, Qrow, I am aware, and in this meeting, I will try to clear up some of the things you want to know about." Ozpin mentions tiredly with a drawn-out exhale.
"Yes, you're going to clear up SOME of the things we want to know about. I mean look at miss uptight over there, even she is agreeing with me for once." Qrow points towards Glynda, who frowns at the name but continues glaring at Ozpin.
Ozpin sighs once again as he places his glasses on his desk before looking up towards everyone.
"Very well then. Ask me your questions and I will do my best to answer them. Every one of them." He specifies as he sees Qrow about to speak.
"Alright, I'll start us off with the elephant in the room. Is that god real?" Qrow steps up and asks the thing on everyone's mind.
"Yes. God-King Horus is an actual god. He has shown power way beyond a normal person could ever reach. Not to mention he knew things that would be impossible to be known by anyone that is not a god, even knowing my deepest secret that I have not told anyone." Ozpin says slowly, confirming that Horus is an actual god.
"What is that secret that you've not told anyone?" Glynda says assertively as she continues glaring at Ozpin.
"When I used the Relic of Knowledge to ask if there's a way to destroy Salem, it had told me that it was impossible." Ozpin admits shocking everyone in the room.
"What? Does that mean we're fighting for nothing? Is this battle meaningless in the end?" Qrow yells out as soon as Ozpin finishes talking, his voice becoming lower and lower as he continues.
"No!" Ozpin says too quickly, making everyone snap their heads back towards him after they had lowered it in despair. "The god, when I had asked him if Salem was truly immortal and unkillable, had laughed. He had told me that I was a fool and that no mortal could truly be unkillable. He even admitted to saying that even he will one day die, saying that nothing is unkillable. There is a way to defeat Salem, we just have to find it." Ozpin said with conviction, his words said with full confidence.
"How are we going to find this so-called solution then?" Qrow glares at Ozpin, but you can see that it's not filled with much heat. He seems to have regained his fire after Ozpin's speech.
Everyone had right away understood why Ozpin didn't tell them about how the Relic of Knowledge told him that Salem could not be destroyed.
If he had told everyone about that without the knowledge of a god telling him that it was incorrect, everyone would have lost hope.
Why would they fight against something when there is no chance of winning? It would be the epitome of despair.
"W-well, did the god tell you if he was going to help us fight off S- the Q-queen of Grimm?" Lionheart speaks up, being the coward that he always is as usual.
"He said he had no interest in defeating the Queen of Grimm, calling her a pest he could remove at any point. He said that he is only keeping her there because she is a good enemy for his people to grow against since he said peace leads to in-fighting and stagnation." James Ironwood speaks up this time, answering this question.
Everyone stands there shocked for a few seconds, Lionheart the most as he is worried that he may have betrayed the wrong people by joining Salem.
"Are you sure he said that Salem is just a pest? She's the enemy of mankind!" Glynda speaks up, being uncharacteristically vocal for once.
"Yes. He said so clearly. From what I remember, his mere presence has disabled most of the Atlas specialists while making me and James uncomfortable, and it was him doing it while not wanting to kill us. If we had felt the full force of that presence, I'm sure I and James would've been disabled and all of the specialists would be dead. He was also able to know our full names, even my old one despite me having not met him during that lifetime just by seeing our presence, which leads me to believe he may have some form of Omniscience. This means he knows how powerful Salem is and is confident that she is a mere pest. Considering how that Grimm invasion was what Salem had done to try and wipe out Menagerie, and she failed spectacularly, I can guess that he was not lying." Everyone who thought about that Moonbeam shivers at it, fearing what they would do if they had to face it themselves. Ozpin sips his now cold coffee after his long speech to clear his dry throat.
"We also know that he has complete control of Storms, which we can see by the many times the Thunderstorms aimed at the Grimm and my Aircraft while not going anywhere near his land. He also can make a wall of light that can block out Grimm completely which we can guess considering how no Grimm was able to pass through it and they obviously couldn't go over it since they would be in the middle of the storm clouds." Ironwood chimes in to give his 2 cents.
"What the hell are we doing analyzing the god's power? What we should do right now is figure out a way to convince him to help us!" Qrow speaks out to everyone.
"There is no need for that. He had decided to help us of his own volition, admitting to needing a place to offload the excessive energy of the 'leylines' and telling us that he can promise us to make a couple of Dust mines anywhere we asks of him as long as we give his people true equal rights as well as a vow to not attack them in any way, shape or form." Ozpin speaks up once again shocking everyone with this new information.
"He can just MAKE dust mines? Not to mention what the hell are Leylines? You never told me about those Ozpin." Qrow speaks up once again.
"That is because I did not know of them, Qrow. From what I can gather, Leylines are basically the domains of gods. Gods manage them and use them to make miracles and perhaps even as a power source, and in exchange, the world gifts them their domains. He mentioned that the Leylines were restless since no one has been managing them for so long, and when he had asked them to power his land with energy, they had been too excited to serve him that Dust could begin growing on the street if he doesn't use this energy somewhere." Ozpin takes a deep breath as everyone around him processes that slowly, he himself not knowing what to make of this.
"So let me get this straight, dust is just extra energy from the leylines that grow because no one is managing it, this guy can control said leylines into making dust anytime he wants, and the world is apparently alive and has sentience?" Qrow lists off everything Ozpin had just said with a tired smile.
Thunder sounds from outside of Beacon, shocking everyone in the office as they all look towards Ozpin.
"I believe that this might be Lord Horus's warning for you to stop calling him 'this guy'. Gods in the past were a cruel bunch and did not like it when people referred to them so casually. I'm surprised he didn't just strike the tower with lightning." Ozpin mentions casually as he takes a sip of his now empty cold coffee mug as everyone sweat-drops.
"So this g-" Thunder booms again outside. "Lord Horus is listening to us right now as we talk about him?"
"Yes. He most likely heard us talking about him when we said his name the first time. He might have not actually listened in until you insulted him by referring to him so casually but he could have done so at any time." Ozpin nods to Qrow as Qrow pales and nods a quick apology to 'Lord Horus'.
"Well good luck to all of the weather reporters trying to explain why thunder happened during clear skies at least." Theodore spoke for the first time as Rumpole facepalmed and sighed before smacking him on the head.
That lessened the tension in the room as everyone cracked a smile at their antics. Even Glynda had a ghost of a smile on her face.
"Do you have any other questions?" Ozpin asks discreetly, wanting his interrogating to end so that he can refill his empty coffee mug.
Glynda's head snaps towards him with a frown and a glare as she takes his Coffee mug forcefully from his hand and goes to store it away, leaving Ozpin to despair as he cries about his kidnapped child.
Lionheart and Ironwood just stare at each other awkwardly.
Qrow takes out his flask of alcohol as he begins muttering about being 'sober for too long.'
What a rowdy bunch.
…
…
After the Ozpin Circle Meeting, Evernight Castle Darklands, Salem.
Salem was not having a good time.
Her planned invasion of the up-and-coming Menagerie city had failed spectacularly.
How was she supposed to know that their so-called god actually exists and has power that is way beyond anything she could expect?
There is only a few titan Grimm that are under her control, none of them being Elder Titans, and she wasted two of them on absolutely nothing!
Not even a single casualty!
She was extremely confident in this invasion considering this was the only ever invasion she has made not one, but TWO new Grimm for.
Karibudis was supposed to be her ace in the hole. It was barely an Elder Titan in terms of power, but its regeneration was off the roof.
She had lowered its strength and speed significantly in exchange for high regeneration hoping that nothing would be able to kill it fast enough.
And she was right! Nothing WAS supposed to be able to kill it fast enough.
But then this god came out of nowhere and decided to rid her of thousands of Grimm, 2 Titan Grimm, and an Elder Titan Grimm without a single casualty on their side!
Even her backup plan to send her newest teleporting Grimm to murder his people while he was fighting failed. She was looking through Karibudis's eyes towards his form. He was staring at her the entire time, how did he find out about the teleporting Grimm and kill it without even being there?
Is this the power of a god? Omniscience and Omnipotence…
She used to scoff at that idea after she had tricked one of the brother gods. After all, if they were tricked by a mortal like her, how could they have Omniscience.
Maybe they were simply not strong enough to have Omniscience? Ozpin did admit that this god said he was stronger than the brother gods. He was able to tell when the teleporting Grimm was at his temple as soon as it arrived!
Though perhaps…
Salem begins thinking about how it could be related to how the Grimm teleported into his temple, before changing her line of thought to being that the Grimm teleported into his land.
Yes, that makes a lot more sense. He sensed that a Grimm entered his land and killed it. Every time I sent out some of the weaker Grimm to gauge his power he had immediately obliterated them as soon as they stepped on his land, not before and not after.
She nods to herself as she smiles, figuring out how he had done it.
Unlike the fools of this age and Ozpin who had been corrupted by their ways, Salem believes that she still retains the wisdom of the old society of humans who were wizards, sorcerers, and magicians.
Salem sighs as she focuses on her subordinates who have gathered here to report to her.
"We have narrowed down the Fall maiden to 3 candidates, and we will be dedicating a month to each one to ascertain if they are the Fall maiden or not as well as plan on how we will ambush them and steal their power. Is the Grimm Bug functional and ready for use my mistress?" Cinder reports as she tries to sound confident, which she fails at as she has not become strong enough to become the cocky, prideful, and annoying woman she turns out to be once she gets the Maiden power.
"Yes, Cinder, the Grimm bug is working just fine and will allow you to take the power of the maiden from the girl." Salem lets out another sigh as Cinder perks up and brings out her chest more in confidence.
The girl is so obsessed with power that she is blinded into complete loyalty just by a small promise of power.
She looks towards the rest of her subordinates, some of them looking bored, others annoyed, and… Tyrian is looking as Psychotic as usual.
She contemplates the new knowledge Lionheart had told her. This god can get rid of her at any time?
Wonderful. Now all she needs is to find a way to convince him to remove her curse and she can finally kill herself.
After all, he specifically told Ozma that he can kill her easily even after knowing her immortality. Which means he can remove the curse that damned god placed on her.
It makes sense, a god can remove a curse that another god placed on her.
She thinks about one of the things Ozma had mentioned about the god, saying he had no want to remove the Grimm completely as they are a perfect enemy for his people not to stagnate or fight each other
Truly, that god's wisdom is boundless. These people dared fight each other with the threat of Grimm hanging on their heads, but this god knows better and is uniting his people together by using the Grimm as the enemy.
Perhaps she knows a couple of ways she can convince him to help her…

? ? ?, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
A large eye opens as it reveals a dark red-slitted reptilian eye. Its black scales shaking from moving after so long asleep.
It stares towards a blue orb in front of it with patches of green, white, golden, and black.
Its eyes narrow as it spots a beacon on the orb that was not there when it last awakened.
The creature's eyes flash as it sees the face of a bird with a human's body, and scenes of people worshiping a statue of that bird.
Its throat growls with a slow rumbling in its mouth.
"My god has not yet returned to me…"
Its eyes slowly close again…

Yayyyy interlude 1 is done and sent. I finally finished a chapter that was not longer than my last, which is an accomplishment considering my chapter word count went 2K - 3.1k - 3.3K - 3.5K - 5k - 5.2k - 5.3k - 5.9K, and lastly I peaked at about 6.7K last chapter. I'm going to be returning to my regular upload of 3k-5k with this chapter being 4.8k hopefully by the time I finish editing it.
A couple of words of thanks towards some of my new reviews, which are a lot so this is epic.
Thank you again, Flashfyre12, for your review. As you can see, yes I had a reaction for the 4 kingdoms to the invasion fight.
Thank you, KarimHD, for your review. Thanks for the compliment and yeah development of weapons, armor, and buildings now that Sacred Spruce is a thing is going to advance a lot, you'll be seeing a lot more of that once we get to the Beacon arc. Also if you guys like Horusism more than Menagerism be sure to let me know and I'll keep it, or if you have a better name then go ahead and comment that.
Thank you again, Ben, for your review. Yes, I love Aurous's arrogance too. He is a character who came into this world already with 20 in his wisdom. He knows that Pride could lead to death and thus only shows it when there's no threat of it leading to his downfall. As he grows into a god he knows that he must act like one and thus acts with the pride of a god. This will also be more of him interacting with the canon characters, with his 'god' body Horus not showing up to interact with mortals too much. So, Aurous is gonna interact a lot more with characters, Horus not so much with anyone outside of Menagerie.
That's all for reviews and I hope you enjoyed this chapter. If you did, be sure to Follow and Favorite or something idk, and if you have any thoughts feel free to share them in the reviews.
…
See you all later.
