Warnings for manipulation, threats, murder, gore, violence and explicit sex, technically rape, since Kinsey doesn't know who Gabe is.

Demon's Downfall

Part two

A Temporary Victory

Chapter four:

Creating a new key-Part one

Kinsey, Tyler and their group headed back to Key House. The five of them reached Key House and entered through the front doors.

Tyler asked if anyone wanted something to eat.

Gabe said that he could always eat. He always had a an appetite.

So, Tyler, Gabe and the others headed off into the kitchen to get food.

Dodge, despite following Tyler, could hear everything that was being said between Kinsey and Scot, as the two of them stayed behind, talking.

Dodge kept a smile on Gabe's face, regarding the others, keeping an eye on Eden, as she heard Kinsey and Scot talk.

Scot told Kinsey that he'd been thinking about Kinsey's proposal that both he and Gabe date her, and he said that that wasn't going to work for him.

Dodge fought a smirk. Because of course, it wasn't going to work for Scot. He was a narrow-minded, weak human. Humans didn't understand those types of relationships.

Well, not if the relationships were initiated by a woman, anyway. If it was a man demanding that he have multiple relationships with women, it was apparently, accepted in human society.

But if a woman wished to have multiple relationships with men, women or both, she was considered dirty.

Dodge would never be able to understand or stomach human society.

Scot then said that if Kinsey was undecided then that was fine. And that they still could be friends. And he rambled on and Dodge tried not to snort as Tyler handed "Gabe," part of a sandwich. How was Kinsey charmed by Scot? Even without his naïve views about polyamory, he was just so boring!

Well, it was good that Kinsey and Scot were going to be separated, for now, or so, Dodge hoped.

It would mean that Dodge would be able to work on Kinsey for a while longer.

Dodge tried not to grin in triumph as she listened to the other teenagers around her drone on and on.

Victory, as far as she could see? Was in the palm of her hand.

Ellie was out of the picture. Everyone thought they had gotten rid of "Dodge," Rufus had only seen Dodge as "Lucas" and so, didn't know that "Dodge" was who Lucas really was now.

And now, Eden was most likely possessed by a demon?

Dodge failed to see how she couldn't win.

The next day, Dodge heard from Kinsey on the phone that she and her family were settling in and that they were sure they'd be happy here in Matheson. Dodge told her in Gabe's voice that they were happy for Kinsey and that they hoped Kinsey was sure of her decision.

Kinsey told Dodge that she and her family were sure of their decision.

And Dodge told Kinsey that they were happy for Kinsey and Kinsey's family. After Dodge hung up, she had Gabe smirk and pocket the phone and get up on "Gabe's" bike.

Dodge had paid for the bike with the money she had stolen, using Gabe as the official buyer at the bike store.

Not to mention the contraption was easy enough to figure out.

While not Dodge's favorite mode of transportation, that being the Anywhere Key, and when not using that, things like a motorcycle or a truck would be preferable, this bicycle would do, as it suited the "innocent" image she was trying to form around Gabe.

She got up on the bicycle and began peddling it along the sidewalk, into the street, making turns and heading through town.

She knew where she was going.

She had heard from some of the other Savinis that Eden wasn't going to school today. That for some reason, Eden was going to some fish food shack.

Dodge smirked with Gabe's lips. She had an idea of why Eden was doing this.

To get food. Lots of it.

She moved fast through the town of Matheson. A town that would soon be hers.

She grinned widely. Years and years ago, there had been a prophecy about her. One that said that Rendell Locke would bring her downfall into this world.

But now Rendell Locke was dead, his children foolishly believing that the threat to their lives was gone, and every obstacle in Dodge's way was now gone. And everything was in Dodge's favor.

She would know no downfall.

She would let her brethren into this world and they would take over the many humans here. And Dodge would rule amongst them.

But first? She had to start keeping her first soldier in this world in line.

Arriving at the shack where Eden was, Dodge parked Gabe's bike outside of it, went into the shack and walked to where Eden was on the second story of the shack.

Dodge snickered, pleased to find that her suspicions were correct, when she saw the plates and plates full of food all over the table.

Dodge sat Gabe down behind the table and faced Eden, placing Gabe's backpack on the booth's seat.

"So, how are you feeling?" Dodge asked Eden, inhaling Eden's scent and already knew the answer, recognizing Eden's scent as a demon's scent, not a human's scent.

Eden shook her head as she ate. "So hungry," she said gluttonously.

Dodge had Gabe grin, knowing already the truth. Eden was a demon now. And she recognized the scent coming off of Eden.

Not the demon she was hoping to have come through the Black Gate, since Dodge and this particular demon, "Trabaveer," had never really gotten along, however, Trabaveer would be easy enough to overpower. So, there was that.

Eden smirked as she chomped on her food, recognizing Latavanko's scent coming off of "Gabe" too.

The two demons smirked together as they ate.

Dodge would let Eden get her strength. After this? They would make plans.

A few days later, Dodge gave the order to Eden. To come with them to the caves. To find more of the bodies of their brethren. To make Keys of their own.

See, Dodge had figured out already that obtaining the Omega Key, was pointless.

It was too heavily guarded.

Besides, even if Dodge did gain access to the Omega Key? What would be the point?

What was she to do? Bring one person after another and hold them in front of the door, waiting for members of her brethren to come through the portal and either hit the walls of the cave and die, or possess a human host?

No. That wasn't an option. It would risk too many of her species dying, and it would take too long to build an army. There would be no point in that.

She couldn't open the Black Gate and let her brothers and sisters through and risk them dying, not to mention, taking forever to gradually possess everyone in this world.

No, she needed a faster route to her end goal.

Which was why she and Eden were going to be searching for the iron bodies of their brethren in the caves, to make a Key of their own. One that would turn humans into demons.

What Dodge wanted? Was to make a Key that would be used on humans, twist the Key and turn the humans into demons, by summoning demons from Dodge and Eden's world, thereby bringing their brothers and sisters into this world and possessing human hosts.

It was far from a perfect plan, but it certainly sounded better than getting hold of the Omega Key, opening up the Black Gate and dragging people to the gate and waiting for Dodge and Eden's brothers and sisters to come through and possess people, gambling too much on whether or not the possessing would be successful, or if their siblings would end up dead in the cave and as dense pieces of iron on the floor of the cave.

Which was why, eventually, Dodge and Eden were in the Drowning Caves, searching in front of the Black Gate.

Dodge had told Eden what they were looking for. Eden rolled her eyes and grumbled, "Gray rocks, gray rocks. If only I could find gray rocks."

Dodge ignored her. And as she had Gabe shine their flashlight on the ground, she smirked, finding a small piece of iron and leaned down, picking it up.

She held the bulletlike object in front of her and Eden's face as Eden walked over and Dodge decided to taunt her childhood rival, who always tried to outdo Latavanko, but always failed, "Ever think if you had missed Eden, then you might end up being like this piece of iron here on the cave floor," Dodge held up the bulletlike pellet.

Dodge heard the anger in Trabaveer's tone, when she hissed in Eden's voice, "Yeah, well, I didn't miss."

There were yells from the hall where Dodge and Eden had come from and two guards, a couple of ship guards or something, emerged, shining their lights on Dodge and Eden, saying that the high tide was coming and that they weren't supposed to be here.

Dodge tried not to laugh. And where exactly were these guards when Kinsey had pulled her stunt, pulling the rest of the Savini crew into the caves?

"Well," Dodge acknowledged, "This is annoying. Shouldn't you guys be saving ships or something?"

Dodge looked to Eden and gave a nod.

Eden smirked and reached into her bag as Dodge pocketed the piece of iron.

Eden slowly pulled out the Crown of Shadows, which had the Shadow Key attached to its front.

Dodge normally would never have trusted anyone else with the Crown of Shadows, save for her most loyal underlings back in the demon world, however, she knew that Trabaveer knew better than to ever go against her.

Trabaveer feared Latavanko too much to even try to go against them.

So, Eden was allowed the Crown of Shadows and the Shadow Key. For now.

Eden placed the Crown of Shadows onto her head, and the guards freaked out.

One of them told Eden to put her hands up and Eden smirked, raising her hands. "If you insist," she said.

And Dodge saw the shadows all begin to stretch upwards and move all around the cave.

The guards gasped and backed away, but it was too late. The Shadows pulled off of the cave walls and leapt onto their victims, sending both guards to the cave floor, attacking and tearing.

The guards' screams filled the cave and blood began spattering all over the cave walls.

Dodge smirked with Gabe's lips. The water would come in and flood away the blood and the bodies.

No need for either demon here to worry about the bodies being found.

After the guards were torn to pieces? Dodge and Kinsey gathered up more pieces of demon iron around the cave, and after finding as many pieces as they could find, both left the cave before the water washed in, heading out and Eden gave Dodge back the Crown of Shadows and the Shadow Key.

That was when summer came. Dodge and Eden hid the pieces of demon iron and pretended that they were having a fun summer, until the next school term came.

Kinsey and her family traveled a bit. However, whenever Dodge had snuck into the house, searching it, she had never found the Omega Key, making her assume that her earlier decision to forgo the Omega Key, had been the correct decision.

Kinsey, Bode and Tyler must have secreted the Omega Key somewhere.

Dodge then had left the house and a few days later, Kinsey and her family arrived back.

Kinsey texted "Gabe's" phone and asked if they could meet up for lunch. Dodge had met up with Kinsey as "Gabe," and they had had lunch together, and later on? Well, they went back to Key House. Duncan, was out at work. Tyler was out with his friends. And Bode and the kids' mother, had gone off to a small festival in town. Which left Dodge and Kinsey at the house alone.

Dodge actually hadn't expected it to happen, but during "Gabe" and Kinsey's talking on the foot of Kinsey's bed, one thing led to another, and Kinsey leaned in and kissed "Gabe," startling the demon that was Dodge.

"Gabe's" eyes widened as Kinsey devoured "Gabe's" face practically.

And because Dodge both was surprised, and didn't want Kinsey to get scared by Dodge's naturally dominant personality? She had allowed Kinsey to push "Gabe" down onto the bed, allowing Kinsey to straddle her.

Kinsey rose up off of "Gabe's" chest and started to put her hands under "Gabe's" shirt. "Can I?" Kinsey asked "Gabe" hopefully.

Dodge had "Gabe" nod his head. Because Kinsey currently was straddling "Gabe," she most likely could feel "Gabe's" very clear want against her. Could feel "Gabe's" very obvious hard on.

Dodge couldn't fight down the small growl in "Gabe's" throat, the sound making Kinsey smile happily as she started pulling "Gabe's" shirt off.

Dodge couldn't say that she hadn't been hoping for this to happen at some point. She had desired Kinsey for a long, long time.

Kinsey might simply have just been a means to an end, but it didn't change that she was very desirable.

It didn't change that Dodge felt a strange curiosity and need for the blonde human that she just couldn't quite understand.

Infatuation, she supposed.

Either way, she felt a strong need to be inside Kinsey, and she certainly wasn't going to stop Kinsey from jumping "Gabe's" bones. The one drawback, was that Dodge, because she was a dominant being, wanted to flip Kinsey over, tear Kinsey's clothes off, ravage the blonde, then plunge into her over and over again, till Kinsey passed out from how many times she came.

But Dodge knew better. She couldn't risk scaring Kinsey.

She needed Kinsey to think that "Gabe" was just an unassuming, gentle boy who wouldn't ever think about making Kinsey into his plaything or anything like that.

So, Dodge had allowed Kinsey to undress "Gabe" completely and when Kinsey reached for a drawer, opening it up and pulling out, to Dodge's further surprise, a few condoms, she didn't protest.

Demons didn't need condoms or anything like that.

Demons and humans were genetically incompatible. Meaning that they couldn't reproduce together.

And demons couldn't catch diseases, as a general rule and they certainly didn't carry any diseases.

So, if they were going to have sex? Kinsey didn't really need to worry about infections or impregnations. Demons and humans weren't compatible in that way.

Kinsey had many other things to worry about, just not that.

But Dodge didn't say anything about it as Kinsey opened up the packages of condoms.

Because, well, Dodge couldn't risk Kinsey knowing that "Gabe" was really a demon, right?

Besides, demons couldn't get pregnant or impregnant other demons, unless those other demons, were the true mates of the demons.

How demon biology worked? It was complicated. However, the only way for one demon to impregnate another, was for them to be meant for each other. Mates, in other words. What humans might call "soulmates."

But that was another story, wasn't it?

Dodge, during her time as Latavanko, had long since given up any possibility of meeting whoever her mate might be. She didn't care anymore. All that mattered, was power.

As Kinsey put her condom on, Dodge watched hungrily as Kinsey inserted it into herself, feeling "Gabe's" cock twitch against Kinsey's leg. Kinsey, feeling that too, smiled at "Gabe," and said, "Excited, huh?"

"Kins," Dodge said in "Gabe's" voice, "If you were in my position, you'd be excited too."

Oh, how Dodge wanted to put Kinsey in this submissive position and make a mess out of the girl, make her cum again and again, but knew it was better that she play the unassuming and even submissive "Gabe," all the way through.

"Just a little more patience, okay?" Kinsey practically giggled, getting a condom and asked if she could put it on Gabe for him.

Dodge had "Gabe" nod eagerly, and Kinsey put it on "Gabe's" cock. Dodge tilted "Gabe's" head-err, by "head," being the head on "Gabe's" shoulders, slightly. That felt odd. But it was alright. This…activity would certainly make "Gabe" and Kinsey closer, wouldn't it?

Kinsey hovered over "Gabe's" dick, hands steadying herself and she looked nervously at "Gabe," and Dodge knew that Kinsey was uncomfortable.

She would have laughed, but she knew that Kinsey wouldn't appreciate that.

Kinsey was trying to be assertive. But that wasn't really what she wanted, was it? She was just afraid of giving up any power, after everything.

So, Dodge had "Gabe" lift himself up slightly and move his arms from above his head, to Kinsey's waist and asked Kinsey gently, if she trusted him.

Kinsey nervously nodded, and Dodge slowly lowered Kinsey down onto "Gabe's" dick, making Kinsey gasp. Dodge slowly moved "Gabe's" member up into Kinsey. "Gabe" wasn't especially long down there, but when Dodge had invented Gabe, she had made sure he'd have…other gifts down there.

That was to say, girth.

As soon as Kinsey indicated that she wanted to stop, Dodge would stop.

However, Kinsey wasn't refusing. If anything, she was starting to rock her hips against "Gabe" when Dodge was fully inside her and was beginning to moan. Dodge reached up with her left hand and started squeezing Kinsey's left breast. Kinsey moaned at that. She started riding "Gabe," and when Dodge groaned, feeling Kinsey's warmth all around her, her need and desire for this girl came to the surface, and before Dodge could think better of it, she had flipped them over, with Kinsey under "Gabe," pinning Kinsey down, right hand grabbing Kinsey's hands and holding them above the blonde's head and began to slowly thrust in and out of Kinsey, left hand going to Kinsey's right breast and "Gabe's" mouth going to Kinsey's neck, gently fixing her mouth around the nape of Kinsey's neck and very carefully biting and sucking.

Dodge didn't unleash all of her desire. No, there was no way Kinsey would ever be ready for something like that, but she began thrusting more and more into Kinsey and to Dodge's relief, Kinsey didn't struggle and didn't appear scared or angry, if anything, she arched up as Dodge slowly had "Gabe" pound her.

Dodge then moved her mouth from Kinsey's neck to Kinsey's other breast and sucked on Kinsey's nipple, watching from where she was suckling, as Kinsey's eyes closed in pleasure, occasionally thrashing as new throes of pleasure hit her.

Occasionally Dodge would lift her mouth from Kinsey's breast and ask if Kinsey wanted to stop, but Kinsey would just groan, "Don't you dare stop, Gabe."

Dodge grinned with "Gabe's" mouth and went faster.

Now, Dodge hadn't been around for ages, just to not have control of her sexual urges. So, when Kinsey came, listening to the blonde gasp and watching Kinsey arch, then feeling Kinsey clench all around "Gabe," crying out as she shook under her partner, Dodge restrained herself from coming herself, making sure that Kinsey was satisfied first, then pulled out of Kinsey, laying on "Gabe's" side, so that "Gabe" still had access to Kinsey's breasts, releasing Kinsey's hands and "Gabe's" right hand going between Kinsey's legs, fingers replacing his dick, thrusting one after another into Kinsey's cunt, three fingers pumping.

Kinsey screamed, arching, her hands grabbing the sheets, eyes rolling up into her head again as Dodge pounded Kinsey, this time with three fingers moving remarkably fast, "Gabe's" thumb stroking Kinsey's clit, left hand still stroking one of Kinsey's breasts.

Kinsey came again, fast, clenching around Dodge's fingers, shaking and sweating, and Dodge had "Gabe" chuckle, but didn't stop. For a third time, Dodge made Kinsey scream and cum, clenching around "Gabe." Dodge wasn't finished, however and pulling "Gabe's" fingers out of Kinsey's heat, lowered herself down to between Kinsey's legs, head between Kinsey's thighs, and about to put "Gabe's" mouth there, when Kinsey gasped, seeing this and told "Gabe" to stop, not exactly panic in her voice, but more concern.

Dodge's eyes widened, and she backed away from Kinsey's genitalia, realizing that she needed to stop.

She sat "Gabe" up on his knees and asked gently, "I'm sorry, Kins, are you alright? Did I do something wrong?"

Kinsey got up, shaking her head, looking apologetic. "No," she said, "It's alright. You didn't do anything. You were great. It was me. I just…..I appreciate it, but don't go down on me, okay?"

Dodge had "Gabe" nod, but the confusion on "Gabe's" face, was quite real.

Didn't humans like oral sex?

Everything Dodge knew of, said "yes."

Every memory Dodge had from Lucas, said "yes." Lucas had enjoyed it severely, whenever Ellie had gone down on him, and Ellie likewise, had certainly enjoyed it, whenever Lucas had gone down on her.

As Dodge had seen in Lucas's memories, Lucas had been like her in that way.

A giver.

So, while Dodge would obey Kinsey's wish, she certainly didn't understand it.

She knew that Kinsey didn't have her fear back. Or she didn't think so.

Because Eden had said that Kinsey's fear had attacked her a few times during summer.

But it still must have been serious if Kinsey, even without her fear, refused to do it.

"Alright," Dodge said, "No oral. Got it. We can stop now, if you want."

Kinsey sighed, "No, you haven't….yet?"

Dodge shook "Gabe's" head, "It's alright," she said, "You don't have to." But no, she had not gotten off, yet.

Kinsey nodded and reached for "Gabe," between "Gabe's" legs, but Dodge reached out and restrained Kinsey's hands. Kinsey looked at "Gabe," startled.

"I don't want to if you don't feel comfortable," Dodge said, and that honestly wasn't a lie.

While Dodge could imagine their relationship becoming more intense after this, she didn't want Kinsey to be uncomfortable or do something that she didn't want to do.

It was just that if Kinsey became uncomfortable, she might not be useful anymore.

That was all.

Kinsey smiled at "Gabe" and said, trying to assure her partner, "It's not like that, Gabe. I want to. I do. It's okay."

Dodge nodded. She then said, "Alright, but I want to be inside you again, if that's okay."

Kinsey chuckled, smiling. "Alright," she said, as Dodge released her hands and Kinsey reached for the open package of condoms, opened a couple of more and she pulled her used condom out of herself, tossing it into the wastebin next to her bed. Dodge did the same, pulling the condom off of "Gabe's" length.

After used, condoms could not be reused.

When both used condoms were discarded, two new ones were applied.

Kinsey was about to lie down again so that "Gabe" could lay down on top of her, however, Dodge had some more surprises for Kinsey, if she was willing to be surprised.

Dodge moved "Gabe's" hands to Kinsey's arms, restraining Kinsey's to her sides, startling the blonde.

Dodge kept "Gabe" on her knees on the bed, the dick between her legs still erect and asked Kinsey suggestively, "Can you get on my lap?"

Kinsey's eyes widened. And to Dodge's relief and growing hunger, she nodded eagerly, maneuvering herself up onto "Gabe's" lap, so that she was straddling Dodge again, "Gabe's" dick now inside her again.

Holding Kinsey tightly, Dodge rocked herself, thrusting "Gabe's" dick up into Kinsey again, mouth going to Kinsey's right breast and sucking at it as she thrust up into Kinsey and again, till the two of them came together, or rather, Dodge made sure Kinsey came first, before allowing herself to come a few seconds later, feeling Kinsey clench around "Gabe's" dick, listening to the addictive sounds of Kinsey whimpering and moaning.

Dodge hugged Kinsey close, as Kinsey came down again from her fourth orgasm and Dodge lowered Kinsey to the bed, lying down next to her, pulling out of the blonde.

Dodge smiled at Kinsey, and Kinsey smiled at "Gabe," and Dodge tried to ignore how warm her heart felt right now.

This was a necessity. It was to get Kinsey to trust her more. Nothing else.

"That was….," Kinsey said, giving a small, happy laugh, "That was something."

Dodge had "Gabe" grin. "Glad that you enjoyed it." Dodge said.

"Yeah," Kinsey laughed again, "'Enjoying' it, is one way of putting it. Damn. How did you learn all that?"

Dodge had "Gabe" chuckle, "Well, I've been around. Let's just leave it at that."

Kinsey chuckled, her cheeks still flushed with that beautiful pink.

Dodge ignored her enamored thoughts. She had to remember, this was all just to reach her end goals. Not to get distracted with lust or whatever this was.

Kinsey said, "I have to say, I wasn't expecting you to flip me over and…."

Dodge was positive there were a few unspoken sayings that Kinsey was thinking of.

Kinsey hadn't been expecting "Gabe" to flip her over and go to town on her, for starters.

"What can I say?" Dodge said, bouncing "Gabe's" eyebrows up and down playfully, "I'm full of surprises."

Kinsey laughed, "That you are."

Dodge decided not to think too hard about why her chest felt so warm, had felt that way, even before they had started having sex. There was, however, one thing that made Dodge curious. She asked Kinsey, as Kinsey lay on the bed, wiping the sweat off of her forehead, "Kins, can I ask you something?"

Kinsey looked at "Gabe" and nodded.

Dodge hesitated, then asked, "I'm sorry to ask this, but your reaction to…to me trying to go down on you, did something happen? Did someone-?"

Kinsey's eyes widened as she realized what "Gabe" was getting at. Asking if someone had hurt Kinsey or forced themselves on her with their mouth, or both.

Kinsey quickly assured "Gabe" that no, that wasn't what had happened. She was uncomfortable about oral sex, but not for those reasons.

Again, Dodge had to wonder then, what was the reason for Kinsey's refusal to allow "Gabe" to go down on her, but decided not to pursue that line of questioning.

But she couldn't ignore the anger that went off in her, at the very thought of anyone hurting Kinsey in any way. But she chose to ignore it. If Kinsey didn't want to talk about it, Dodge couldn't risk pushing it.

The important thing was, that this most likely would bring "Gabe" and Kinsey much, much closer. And then, would Kinsey ever deny "Gabe" any information about the keys?

After checking the time, Kinsey, had told "Gabe" that they'd need to clean themselves up quickly, because her mom and brother would be coming back in at least a half hour.

Dodge had "Gabe" nod, and they tossed their condoms away and when each of them took turns showering, Dodge had suggested playfully that they take a shower together, to which Kinsey had grumbled, "No, into the shower with you. We don't want to take a second shower. I'll take one after you."

"Yes, ma'am," Dodge had "Gabe" say, chuckling, and headed into Tyler's shower, as Kinsey went into her own shower.

After they were done, they got dressed and "Gabe" headed out.

When Dodge and Kinsey reached the door of Key House, and Kinsey faced "Gabe," smiling and said, "I…I really liked that."

Dodge smirked. Kinsey clearly didn't know how to allow herself to say, "You fucked me really good, thanks." Too much shame over consensual sex between consenting adults, that was humanity's problem.

"I really liked being with you too," Dodge said, making sure that it was an intimate and sweet statement, knowing the effect it would have on Kinsey.

Kinsey flushed deeply, smiling and Dodge made sure to have "Gabe's" lips smile at her.

"Thank you," Kinsey said, self-conscious.

"Gabe" chuckled at Kinsey's self-consciousness. It was adorable. Dodge fought a frown from climbing onto "Gabe's" lips. "Adorable?"

That was a troubling thought for a demon to have.

Before Dodge could become more worried, or Dodge or Kinsey could say anything else, the front door of Key House opened up and Dodge and Kinsey both turned to see Nina and Bode Locke, coming in, with some bags in their hands.

Both "Gabe" and Kinsey greeted them and "Gabe" asked if Nina needed help with anything, and she politely said it was fine. Then when Nina and Bode went to the kitchen, "Gabe" and Kinsey hugged, kissed and said goodbye and after the front door of the house was closed up, Dodge walked off into the woods, an arrogant smirk on "Gabe's" lips as she moved.

This? This most likely had formed a much stronger bond between "Gabe" and Kinsey.

And Dodge also congratulated herself, on being able to restrain herself so that she hadn't ended up losing control of her desire and hadn't ended up fucking Kinsey till Kinsey could barely move and was ready to pass out.

Over the next few days, Dodge had learned something that she couldn't say didn't make her pleased.

Scot had left the Savini crew and was no longer working on his beloved movie.

Well, all the more convenient for sweet and lovesick "Gabe," right?

Dodge spent their days, pretending to be Gabe, dressed up in that ridiculous lobster costume, trying to hand out fliers to people as the rest of the Savini crew put up fliers.

Kinsey showed up a few times and she and Dodge spent time together.

During one of these meetings, Dodge let it slip to Kinsey that Scot had dropped out of the movie production, wanting to see Kinsey's reaction.

Kinsey, much to Dodge's dismay, didn't react well.

She nodded and walked off.

Dodge growled, not liking that Kinsey might be distracted by Scot. For the mission, and all.

Dodge would have to ignore…her own reactions to Kinsey's reaction. How her heart clenched when she saw that Kinsey just might still have feelings for Scot. How a spike of jealousy shot through her, thinking that Kinsey might want to be with Scot instead.

Dodge reminded herself that it was just possessiveness.

Demons were possessive all the time. These feelings of jealousy meant nothing.

Kinsey meant nothing to Dodge.

She was just a distraction, and a means to an end.

That was all.

So, Dodge ignored the spike of jealousy and dismay that she felt at Kinsey's reaction to Scot not being involved in the movie any longer. Dodge's feelings, if they even existed, weren't important.

The only important thing, was getting Dodge's brethren into this world and possessing meat bodies.

Later on that week, Dodge, as Gabe, and Eden, tracked down a very faraway from town home, with several "keep out" and "private property," signs up, and they drove to it, with several crates of supplies, reached the house in the truck that Dodge had stolen and they got out, walking to the front property of the house, seeing the moronic recluse that owned the house and property.

The man, with untidy brown hair and a brown beard, bore a shotgun. But that wouldn't do him any good, and both Dodge and Eden knew that.

"What are you doing here?" The man demanded of both Dodge and Eden, "Didn't you see the signs?"

Dodge said in Gabe's voice, not even answering about the signs, "Why don't you pack your shit and go?"

Dodge was going to give this weakling one chance to leave.

And if he didn't? Well, she doubted anyone would look for him or even miss him.

"What did you say?" The man demanded, disbelief in his voice.

"He said," Eden said dryly, stepping closer, "'Why don't you pack your shit and go?'"

"Tell you what I'm going to do," the idiot said, raising his shotgun and aiming it at Dodge and Eden, "I'll give you the to five-countdown, and if you don't leave," he took the safety off of the shotgun.

"I don't think anyone's going to miss this guy from the gene pool," Dodge remarked uncaringly.

The man, now getting increasingly angry, kept aiming the gun at the two demons, and began counting, "One. Two."

He didn't get very far, since Dodge had picked the shovel up off the ground around the man's property, and swung the shovel down, hitting the shotgun and pushing its barrel away from Eden, then swung at the idiot man's face again, the shovel making contact with the stupid man's face, watching with satisfaction as blood shot out of the man's face on impact.

When the man fell to the ground, Dodge kept beating him with the shovel. Over and over again, until the man didn't have a heartbeat anymore.

Dodge smirked as she finally had Gabe stop swinging. "Three, four, five," She had Gabe said, tidying Gabe's hair up after that, then tossing the shovel to Eden.

"Bury him," she ordered Eden, "I'll get the crates with our things."

"Seriously?" Eden scoffed.

"Seriously," Dodge said, walking to the pickup truck.

Dodge couldn't say that she didn't find it interesting that when the man had gotten the shotgun aimed, that he had aimed it only at Eden, not at "Gabe."

It appeared that Dodge's beagle puppy outfit, that was "Gabe," worked a bit too well.

Even what was likely a sexist man, saw Eden as far more threatening, than some young man with the face of someone who barely was. Dodge had created Gabe to be the same age as Kinsey. So, Gabe was of age, technically. But "Gabe" still looked very, very young.

Now, if Dodge had used the form that she always loved being in, the form which she associated as "Dodge's" true form, then she was positive that the man would have aimed the gun at her, instead of at Eden.

Not that it would have worked.

Dodge, even without being an Echo, which couldn't be killed, was a specific breed of demon that were very, very hard to kill.

Bullets wouldn't work on Dodge.

Eden-Trabaveer, wasn't that same breed. Trabaveer's breed was much weaker. However, Dodge doubted that bullets would have worked on Trabaveer either. However, Dodge hadn't wanted to risk that, so, she had hit the man's shotgun, before he could reach his five countdown and pull the trigger.

When the idiot was buried and all of Dodge and Eden's things were placed into the dead fool's house, Eden, stained with dirt after burying that worthless idiot, finally asked the question that Dodge had known was coming and honestly, she had wondered herself.

Eden asked, "Why didn't he just leave?"

Dodge would have scoffed, but didn't.

She couldn't say that she and Eden hadn't given the moron a chance to escape with his life.

Oh, Dodge hadn't put much value in the man's life. She didn't in most human beings' lives, but she hadn't been planning to kill him, until he had proven that he couldn't be reasoned with.

Humans? They were just too stupid and didn't know when to recognize clear threats.

"Because the meat world is a land of idiots," Dodge said. And it was the truth, as far as Dodge could tell.

Eden asked, "Is it ready?"

"Almost," Dodge said, thinking about the movie and the preparations they'd made to make their own Key.

Eden groaned, "There's gotta be a way around this 'demons can't take Keys from Lockes' rule."

Dodge felt Eden look at her and she heard Eden say, "Can I use the Identity Key to turn into Kinsey?"

Dodge sighed, pulling the Identity Key out. She knew the only way for Trabaveer to learn, was from experience.

She held the Identity Key up in offering to Eden. "Give it a shot," she said.

Eden took the Key from Dodge, went to the rectangular mirror hanging on the wall, put the Key under her chin and turned it.

Dodge watched, in no way surprised when it didn't work.

Eden looked dismayed.

Dodge walked over, peering at "Gabe's" reflection in the mirror. "Didn't work," they said, "Do you wanna know why?"

"I'm sure you're gonna tell me," Eden grumbled, both Trabaveer and Latavanko very aware of how their relationship had always been.

Eden turned around to face Dodge and Dodge took the Identity Key from Eden, putting it under "Gabe's" chin and turned the Key, focusing on the form she took as "Dodge."

As soon as Dodge did, Dodge felt a thrill of pleasure at the way Eden's lips quivered, seeing "Dodge's" true form emerge.

Trabaveer might not actually have been Eden, however, Trabaveer now had Eden's memories.

And Trabaveer recognized this form that Dodge was taking. And feared it.

While Gabe's clothes were tight on Dodge, she knew she was intimidating in this form.

Dodge smirked and pulled the Key out of her chin, in the form of "Dodge," the form she loved so, so much as she said, "You can't use the Identity Key to turn into a real person. You can only use the Identity Key to create a brand-new person."

Dodge tried not to laugh at how Eden backed away, still looking frightened. Dodge was always Dodge, she just looked different when she changed into Gabe. Funny how Eden really was fooled into thinking that "Gabe" somehow was more reasonable than "Dodge."

Apparently, Dodge's beagle puppy outfit fooled even other demons.

"You turned into Lucas, and he was real," Eden pointed out.

Dodge again, had to fight a laugh. Eden really wasn't getting how this worked.

"I didn't turn into Lucas," Dodge said, rolling her eyes, "I already was Lucas."

I was a fact that Dodge didn't like discussing. She hated Lucas.

Like she hated Rendell and all his friends. But Dodge knew she needed to get Eden to figure this out.

Dodge then smirked at Eden, "I just needed a new look."

Eden asked nervously, chuckling, "Why would you…turn into someone like Gabe?"

"Because," Dodge said, "No one's going to suspect him of being anything more than a nerdy, little kid who's fallen in love with Kinsey."

And that was the reason why Dodge had invented Gabe. Really, just seeing how Eden reacted to Dodge's form as "Dodge," was reason enough to say that creating Gabe was a necessity.

The form of "Dodge," was threatening. Very threatening. Beautiful, but intimidating.

The form of "Gabe?" Non-threatening. Innocent looking. Unassuming.

Dodge turned around and started walking from Eden, with the Identity Key.

As she did, Eden said, "You're doing a really good job of selling that."

Dodge knew it was a backhanded compliment and was about to say, "That was the whole idea. That's why I made Gabe."

She was about to say it, that was, till Eden opened her big mouth again.

Eden then said, "Maybe a little too well."

Dodge froze and slowly turned around to face Eden. She began to close in on Eden, a threatening expression on her face.

Both Dodge and Eden knew who would win in a fight. Both Dodge and Eden knew that Eden wouldn't stand a chance against Dodge.

Dodge was what might be considered of the most dangerous species of demon in their world, while Eden was of a much lesser powered demon species.

Eden was a demon, and automatically, stronger than all humans.

However, next to Dodge? She was a weakling.

And Trabaveer had always known that.

Knowing how powerful and deadly Latavanko was, Trabaveer had always edged close to pissing Latavanko off, but always would rein in her bitchiness in the demon world, before she could push Latavanko too far, making sure not to lead it to Latavanko deciding to kill Trabaveer eventually.

Dodge felt her wrath surge, thinking about Eden's words.

She was not weak. She would not allow any emotions that she most likely didn't have, infect her.

Even if she had these feelings that Eden ridiculously claimed that she had, what was the most important, was getting her and Eden's species into this world.

She watched Eden's expression as she said, "I brought you here." She leaned close to Eden, a dangerous look on her face, seeing Eden's lip tremble again, knowing that she was scaring the blonde, "I can get rid of you." Dodge finished her threat as she smirked, showing her teeth and said, "Anytime. Do you understand?"

Terrified, Eden looked up at Dodge and nodded.

Dodge smirked again. "Good," she said. Dodge then put the Identity Key under her chin and turned the key, focusing on "Gabe's" appearance and changed back into "Gabe."

"Now, let's get to the premier," Dodge said in "Gabe's" voice, "I don't want to miss my red carpet."

Trabaveer clearly felt some of her confidence come back, as Dodge had the form of "Gabe" now, and said as "Gabe" walked away, "You're a lobster. No one's gonna even recognize you anyway."

Dodge had "Gabe" snort as Eden pushed herself off of the wall that Dodge had backed Trabaveer into. Clearly, this was the closest Eden would get to being defiant for a while.

When they reached the theater, Dodge, as "Gabe," they met up with Kinsey and the others, and saw the movie. Or part of it, anyway.

Dodge ignored the warmth that she felt in her chest when Kinsey showed up in a beautiful red dress and smiled at "Gabe."

She reminded herself over and over, that Kinsey was nothing to her, except a means to an end. Nothing else.

Eventually, they sat down and waited for the movie to start.

As Dodge had learned, Kinsey believed that Scot had moved on and was dating someone else now.

A girl named Abby.

Dodge had no idea if Scot and Abby were even dating, and she didn't care.

As long as Kinsey thought that Scot had moved on and wasn't available anymore, that was in Dodge's favor.

As the movie played, Eden eventually grumbled that this was actual torture, got up and walked out of the theater, going to get snacks.

Dodge looked up the aisle at where Eden had left and was now very worried.

Eden, after Dodge had threatened her, hopefully, wouldn't do anything stupid.

But if Dodge had learned anything over the years in the demon world and seeing the type of idiocies that Trabaveer was capable of, Trabaveer didn't understand the first thing about subtlety.

Still, Dodge chose to wait. For a while.

When still, after what had to be at least ten or so minutes, Eden didn't return, Dodge mentally cursed and told Eden that she needed a bathroom break. Kinsey was startled.

She said, "Now? This is our big scene."

Dodge ignored the jolt of pain in her heart at the hurt in Kinsey's voice.

Dodge had "Gabe" apologize and head out, ignoring the pain in her chest as she went after Eden.

They hadn't exactly had any opportunity to relive that delightful sexual experience that they had done together a few days ago, just after summer ended, so, this might have been causing some damage to the bond that Dodge intended to form between "Gabe" and Kinsey, but she had to see if Eden had done something stupid.

As she learned, it was a really good thing she'd gone after Eden.

Because of course, Trabaveer fucked up.

There was a dead body on the floor. It was the body of the guy behind the counter of the snack bar.

There was blood all over the carpet, where his body was, his throat and face torn open.

Dodge spat as she closed in on Eden, ignoring how her own demonic instincts went wild, smelling all that blood and seeing a dead corpse like that, "What the hell are you thinking, Eden?!"

Eden glowered at the dead body. "He provoked me," she said.

Dodge scoffed. She wasn't surprised, she supposed. She had heard the moron mouthing off to women and hitting on them all night.

The only reason why he hadn't hit on Kinsey, was because Dodge had stared at the idiot behind the counter and had made sure that the idiot had understood what would happen, with just a gaze, if the man even thought about opening his mouth to Kinsey.

While Dodge knew that it was dangerous to even think that she might have feelings for Kinsey, she wouldn't let Kinsey think that "Gabe" wasn't a respectful boyfriend.

Now, seeing the dead man on the floor, Dodge would have laughed at such a deserving fate, if Eden hadn't basically just put them in danger of exposure.

Moving fast, Dodge pulled out the Anywhere Key and she and Eden grabbed the corpse and dragged it into the bathroom, closed the door and they disposed of the body on the secluded property they had commandeered not long ago, burying the body and hurrying back to the theater.

Many people had flooded out of the theater, as was to be expected, since the movie by now would be over.

Dodge knew she'd have to apologize to Kinsey.

Kinsey's mother, Nina Locke, approached "Gabe," asking, "I saw you….you and Eden drag someone into the bathroom and disappear….."

Dodge almost laughed, but just had "Gabe" smile, knowing that soon, Nina would forget what she had just seen.

"Mrs. Locke," Dodge said, "Are you feeling alright?"

Dodge snickered, watching as Nina touched her head, confusion all over her face, then as more people came in from the movie theater, the haze that would make Nina forget what she had seen, took route, and Nina dropped her hand, her confused and suspicious look disappearing and she instead just smiled as she saw her three children and Duncan approaching.

Dodge smirked, then smiled when Kinsey approached.

Kinsey sided up next to Dodge as Dodge plastered a big smile on "Gabe's" face, hugging Kinsey, ignoring how her heart seemed to beat faster just as the presence of Kinsey.

They talked and Dodge eyed Kinsey eyeing Scot and Abby together.

Bode caught Dodge's attention and told "Gabe" that he was great as the lobster monster and if "Gabe" could "kill" him in the sequel.

Dodge forced a "genuine" smile on "Gabe's" face, as she said, "Yeah, I think that can be arranged."

Oh, yes, that certainly could be arranged.

If Bode wasn't useful or caused more trouble, well Dodge could absolutely arrange that.

When Bode tried to high five "Gabe," Dodge raised "Gabe's" hand up, suddenly noticing that there was blood on "Gabe's" hand and almost cursed, instead lowering "Gabe's" hand, and instead she and Bode did a fist bump.

When the two of them went their separate ways and talked with different people, and Dodge stood by Kinsey, she glared at where Eden was.

She was going to have a very, very threatening "talk" with that demon at the afterparty.
