~ XCI: The Crowning of King Elessar ~

Minas Tirith, 3019 TA, May 1st

On the summit of Minas Tirith, the courtyard was packed with citizens who had gathered to witness the coronation of their true king on the first day of Lótessë. The huge white doors of the Citadel had opened, and the courtyard was crowded with people of various types. Slowly, everyone appeared in front of friends, relatives, and strange individuals. Gandalf and Aragorn emerged at the top of the steps, the future king clad in armor bearing the symbol of Gondor, and the audience adoring their new ruler.

Arwen stood next to Elrond with their kin, her arm around his and a broad grin on her face. As Gandalf put the crown onto Aragorn's head, she beamed with joy as she heard the twins shouting in the background. Legolas was smiling, and Xena saw that the sorrow and gloom that had enveloped them for the last month were gradually fading away.

Gimli gave Gandalf a silver crown to put on the king's head. Gandalf then placed the crown on the king's head, and Gimli swiftly retreated from view. Aragorn knelt before Gandalf, who smiled sincerely before laying the crown on his head. Few heard the wizard speak a few words in elvish to bless the new king. "Now come the days of the king. May they be blessed." The wizard announced as he crowned Aragorn; King.

"This day does not belong to one man, but to all. Let us together rebuild this world that we may share in the days of peace." the King said as he turned and addressed the crowd and everyone applauded happily. Finally, after a long time of battles and wars, there was peace and a king for Gondor.

Aragorn closed his eyes and sang "Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta." [Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I have come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.]

After the song concluded, the king greeted everyone by walking through the throng. Faramir and Éowyn paid their respects to the King upon meeting them. Both were dressed in formal attire, and their appearances were fair and attractive. Their wounds had been healed, and their hearts had become one. When both were going after Aragorn to get ready hours earlier, they seemed different.

King Éomer and Princess Lothriel then bowed and received the new king. Gimli would be included. Keeping Éomer as far away from Lothriel as possible. It seems that the princess of Dol Amroth wanted to pay her respects to the new king as well. She consented to go with Éomer to Minas Tirith, but Éomer treated her as though she were a fragile woman during the journey. She ultimately surrounded him and made it plain she could protect herself. And now both were estranged.

A troop of luminous Elves suddenly came and blocked the King's way. Legolas made himself prominent. He was dressed in a long, silver, shining robe. On his head was a circlet, and his hair was finely coiffed. Aragorn and Legolas put their hands on one another's shoulders. Both friends had a warm embrace, and the King praised his valued and close friend. Elrond and Arwen were revealed as Legolas step aside. As Aragorn gazed in awe, Elrond gestured Arwen in his direction. The King became perplexed and regarded Arwen with amazement.

Elessar had always assumed that they would never end up together, but he had awaited this moment for so long. Aragorn skipped alongside her and gently seized Arwen. Longingly, they regarded one another before the king kissed her. The provided kiss was intense and a little longer than it should have been.

Finally, Legolas turned his attention to Xena. The moment he smiled at her, Xena felt one or more heartbeats skip. She had not seen Legolas being carefree or smiling recently. He was always concerned about his mother, the hunt, and exacting his vengeance. Today, though, everything was forgotten since it was Elessar's coronation. The sorrow and the gloom were disregarded for this magnificent occasion.

At last, the king came to the four hobbits of the fellowship, who bow to him awkwardly. Everyone's attention was turned to the hobbits. "My friends! You bow to no one." The king spoke. And the crowd bowed before the hobbits. Thanking them for saving middle earth, and giving their respect to them. It was a moment that brought tears to everyone's eyes since creatures like the Hobbits had managed to bring an end to Sauron.

And the king knew what they went through, how much darkness and pain they had endured offering everyone now a Middle Earth without the growing darkness of Sauron. They would always have Aragorn's respect and the respect of the rest. Their deeds would never be forgotten, and tales and songs would be written in their names.

Now it was time to celebrate...

The crowd was screaming with joy, their feet disturbing the ground around the main area. Smiles laughs and a lot of drinking and eating. Their bodies moved together as they celebrated, rhythmically breaking into shapes and colors that tickled everyone's heart. Most had indulged, eating more than they'd thought possible. Fewer drunk more than they should. Cattery voices and cheering tones had filled the main chambers of Minas Tirith. Table tops layered with trays of the most delicious food and drinks lined, delicacies capable of making one's mouth water: meat, vegetables, and all kinds of fruits.

Xena lost in her own mind, strolled through the corridors. Her long dress was waving, along with each step. Her hands were resting freely down her hips. Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her behind a dark corner. Almost hiding her behind the gigantic curtains. She was not given any time to react, as too thin a pleasureful lip pressed against hers, forming a kiss. She answered by wrapping her arms around her attacker and stepping on her tips, making the kiss last longer. Her secret attacker embraced her fully, with adding more naughtiness to their kiss. She had already recognized her attacker, it was Legolas,

"I did not think to see you so soon!" he spoke under his breath, as he broke their kiss. His hands sensually touched her body, ensuring him she was real.

"It has only been a week and a few days," she whispered against his ear, as her breath softly touched his pointing ear, making him shutter over the air that was blown against him. Along their journey from Lothlórien to Minas Tirith, they were behaving like mature adults without seeking a moment of privacy, since the Lords of Imladris and Lothlórien were following.

The elf softly pushed her away. His ear was the most sensitive area in his body. If Xena was arrogant or was acting like one, he could not tell. "You missed many hearts and desires?" said Legolas "Did time matter that much?"

"Are you for real?" she mumbled gently, as her eyes were pinned against his and her body leaned closer and closer towards him. "We should discuss the matter later on," Xena suggested and Legolas agreed.

They both ended up finally going to the celebration, they joined eat and drank, and they spoke with all of the friends and lords that they had not seen for a month. Gimli and Xena spent a few long moments making fun of Legolas' tiara, making the poor elf self-conscious. It did not take long and he was escaping from Gimli and Xena who had teamed up simply to break his confidence.

"Many hopes will wither in this bitter Summer, and you still look worried, my friend!" Aragorn said as he made himself noticeable as he was returning from his chambers and found Legolas running to hide in his room.

"Aragorn!" the Ellon cried out, "If the summer hides any Hope I cannot force. Yet, I am worried, very worried!"

"Of all joys bring Arwen to me, was the least expected! I thought you also found your own joys in this life. What bothers you?" the king wanted to know.

"A lot has happened Aragorn, but today is not the place not the time to narrate you through. Today we celebrate you becoming king, and when the day is right I will inform you." Legolas appealed as he leaned against the white wall, that was behind him.

"But I did not summon you!" said Aragorn "save only in wish. My thoughts have often turned to you, and seldom more than today; yet I have sent no word. But come! All matters can wait. The city has come to life, and all were of great help. Why were you leaving? Are you weary?"

Legolas was not sure how to answer that question without been sound silly, "I was running away from the dwarf and the human, who were making fun of my circlet." said Legolas and noticed Aragorn's face turned from puzzled to unable to hold his laugh.

"Isn't the elf the fairest of all the maiden?" Gimli suddenly asked as he had appeared next to them. He grabbed Legolas from his wrists pulling him "You can't escape each time we tell you the truth elf. You honestly look very charming, like a princess!"

Finally, Legolas managed to smile and he returned and sat next to Xena, who had many questions to ask him. "Where were you, we thought a pretty man found you and stole you away!" she scoffed only to gain a glare from the elf and a promise that later that night he would show her what kind of 'princess' he was.
