His walnut eyes wide, Al's mortified as some unnatural force sent him away from the wine cellar, leaving Lila stranded, and he's unable to return to the cellar, due to the scanners aboard the TARDIS warning him that the Family's in motion.
Due to the prime directive, Al couldn't retrieve Lila, he had to ensure Theodore's safety, above else, a layover from a different time, and unfortunately, it's an oversight that even Medikus couldn't overwrite during his time within the TARDIS.
It wasn't out of malice, promise, but now Al panicked as he's trying to worm his way out of the prime directive, trying everything in his power to find a loophole to abuse.
Not as easy as it looked, damn Council and their overbearing nature!
While Al's panicking as he struggles finding a usable loophole to rescue Lila, he heard a noise coming from the medical bay, and an aloof giant walking out of the hallway, hobbling as he rubbed his icy blue eyes.
"Kid!" Al's shocked seeing Theodore coming into the console room, dazed, and confused, looking around curiously, before noticing a distressed Al.
Slowly blinking, Theodore mumbled, "What's wrong?"
Chewing on his nonexistent flesh, Al admitted, "We—there was a problem and-and now, I can't get myself back!"
The moment Al admitted to Theodore what transpired as he was unconscious, he sees the aloof giant sluggishly move around, his mind received the message, and suddenly Theodore exclaimed, "What!?"
Weakly shrugging, Al confirmed the worst, that the prime directive kept him from rescuing Lila because of Theodore, but the angry giant wasn't allowing the setback to stop them, as he took control of the console.
"Kid, you're not at your best!" Al warned Theodore that he shouldn't force himself into a rescue operation, the royal honey hasn't completely been flushed out of his body, quite yet.
Theodore refused the thought, exclaiming that he wouldn't leave Lila behind, prime directive or not, as his hands moved around the console, when he finished, the TARDIS took him outside the winery.
Staggering outside, Theodore immediately caught sight of the broken glass at the front doors leading into the winery, the warped frame of the doors bent outward, and as he took a few steps forward, his icy blue eyes fell to the ground, as he noticed his father's pocket watch on the ground.
As he reached down, Theodore's icy blue eyes widened as he sees it's covered in fresh blood.
Internally, Theodore panicked as Al appeared beside him, his walnut eyes saw the bloodied pocket watch, as Theodore clutched it in his large hand.
"Kid, it's only been a minute, she's gotta still be alive!" Al tried comforting Theodore, trying to use the time dilation to ease his fears, that it's only been a minute since Lila was taken, thus she should be alive, still.
Though, it didn't comfort Theodore, only made him worry, as he pointed out that they figured out Al and Lila's trick, now they'll surely drain Lila until there's nothing left of her.
"Al, I need to know where they took her!" Theodore pleaded with Al as the wearied AI scanned the winery, using the biometrics he collected from Lila, and tells Theodore that the Family took her to the loft above the winery.
With Al's help, Theodore wasted no time entering the winery through the busted door, the broken glass crunching under his feet, his two hearts racing as he followed the map as Al guided him.
There's no chance the Family's going to drink the poisoned wine, in all the scenarios that went through Theodore's head, they all end similarly, with Lila dying horribly, and the Family justifying her murder as retaliation against him and his father.
Running up the staircase to the loft built above the winery during a renovation some years back, Theodore followed Al's directions while the AI disabled the security used by the winery, preventing the Family from knowing they're there.
In Theodore's mind, he attempted to reach out to Lila, trying to communicate with her, but he couldn't reach her, and it only panicked him more.
Al's sure that she's alive, still, her biometrics aren't telling him otherwise, he believes the Family want her alive long enough for them to interrogate her on what she knows, before they decide what they want to do with her.
Which isn't much, when it comes to the Family.
An idea came to Theodore's mind, quickly, as he tells Al what he wanted the AI to do, and at the end of his shaky command, Theodore sees the AI pondering before nodding, giving him the okay.
Disappearing, Al set out to revise the plan from before, this time, ensuring that the Family gets their due, though Al warned him that when the plan commences, he and Lila needed to get out of there, before the tainted wine touches them.
Evolved over time, the toxins from the Drekker easily absorbed through the unbroken skin, it'll take longer than in wounds or scratches, but the effects are still the same, with howling, pain, and death, even despite Al's attempts at messing with the toxins, it's still fatal to come into contact.
"Don't worry, I'll come up with something, you know I will!" Theodore huffed as he reminded Al that despite the concerns, he and Lila will encounter the tampered wine by mistake, he'll have a plan to mitigate it.
Energy driven by the storms and a universe that isn't prickly, Theodore can work out an angle to grab Lila, get out of there, and leave the Family to their deserved fate.
Of course, that would be during normal adventures, but as far as Theodore's concerned, the Family tried turning him into a blood bag and potentially doing the same to Lila, or worse.
They earned his ire, as his father before him, something Al tried arguing against, since Theodore hasn't completely recovered, but the angry giant wasn't having it.
Though he tried, Al couldn't convince Theodore that it was a dangerous idea, seeing that the Family knows his blood and would know the moment he goes through the loft doors, they'll know instantly.
Once more, Theodore wasn't deterred, pointing out he had worse odds, and nothing else mattered except ensuring Lila's safety, above all else.
With the knowledge Al gave him, Theodore intended on inflicting enough pain that they wouldn't forget, and make sure they didn't escape the latest attempt killing them off, this time, he won't make the same mistake as his father.
Reaching the two-doors, Theodore reached for the knobs, turning them, the doors gave, and he entered the loft, the smell of lavender hit his nose, but also the smell of blood, too.
Al disappeared to get the trap ready as Theodore walked around the loft, coming across freshly lit lavender incense burning on the side table, potent enough that it almost covered up the smell of blood.
Creeping along the designed carpet, Theodore's immediately jolted by the smell of fresh blood, causing his two hearts to beat rapidly, as he crept faster towards the source, while attempting to reach out to Lila in his mind.
To his relief, though not entirely, he heard Lila muttering incoherently in her mind, only to stop shortly after hearing him, and she murmured a soft, "Teddi?"
Brought a smile to his face, but only a moment, as he quickly informed her that he's coming to her rescue, and that he's finishing what his father started.
Reaching the source of the blood, Theodore stared at the closed doors leading into the dining room, cogs turning in his head, before he calmly made a spear out of the nearest objects closest to him, one being a candle holder.
With it in his large hands, Theodore exhaled sharply, before using his large foot to bust through the doors, catching the Family off-guard, as they sat at the dinner table with glasses of blood wine.
Lila's nowhere to be found, she wasn't anywhere in the dining room, thus Theodore speared the only woman who would tell him.
The makeshift spear impales Dolores, the generated force sent her backwards and flying into the other side of the dining room, the spear hit her dead centre, but Theodore knew it didn't kill her.
The shock caught the other two off, the other woman screeching as she hurried to Dolores's side, while the sheriff pulled his 9mm on Theodore.
Fire in Theodore's icy blue eyes, he lurched towards the sheriff, undeterred by the 9mm, his large hands grabbed the sheriff's hands, squeezing them like a bubble wrap, while hearing him howl in pain.
In pain, Sheriff Lucian loses his grip on the 9mm, and Theodore took it with ease, allowing him to squeeze the barrel until it's completely crumpled like a twisty-tie.
Dropping the useless 9mm, the barrel destroyed, only someone foolish would attempt to use it, risking it blowing up in their faces, Theodore kept his grip on the disarmed sheriff.
Since he has the sheriff's undivided attention, Theodore leaned forward as he uttered, "Where. Is. She?"
Struggling, Sheriff Lucian gestured towards the kitchen with his frightened eyes, yowled when Theodore cast him aside, as he went towards the kitchen, his heavy footsteps echoing in the chaos as the woman screamed, Dolores shouted.
Entering the kitchen, Theodore's tense icy blue eyes immediately softened when he sees Lila sitting on a chair, barely conscious, a tube coming out of her arm, into a bucket.
"No!" Theodore let out a pitiful cry as his heavy footsteps slammed against the laminated flooring, rushing to Lila's side, his large hands reaching out to touch her clammy face, his icy blue eyes catching sight to her cut hand, as the blood dried, an imprint where she held the pocket watch.
Checking her pulse, she's hanging on, as Theodore's prepared to carry her out, there's sudden gunshots, and a door slam as Sheriff Lucian ran into the kitchen, covered in blood, holding another gun.
