I do not own any of these characters besides Wendy, Timothy McGee, McGee's daughter, and the authorities.
Both Sandy and Spongebob were feeling a variety of emotions once the news of the kidnapping of Timothy McGee and his daughter had leaked through every possible news outlet in the entire ocean. Detective Arthur had to retreat from the Squarepants' residence as the news became prime and it was clear he would have to work with the feds in order to bring the fugitive Wendy Shore to justice once and for all.
However, taking Wendy down was proven to be much more said than done. It was clear she had perpetrated this scheme for a while as she had hired men from all over the region to take down anyone who would attempt to crack the code and find her. Spongebob stopped pacing as he stared in awe at the TV. The news had reported that many officers had fallen at the hands of Wendy's henchmen through shootouts. Sandy stared in disbelief and was beyond horrified at the length Wendy had gotten through in order to achieve her master plan.
"I c-can't believe this is happening," he moaned, collapsing on the sofa in shock. "Like, I know Wendy was nuts, but I never thought she would be on this level of insanity."
"It's not like it lit up over her head that she would want to do something as drastic as this," Sandy added, her eyebrows furrowing in frustration. "I mean, she had to have planned this for so long! Even back when she and Patrick were dating!" Sandy then sighed at the mere memory of her fallen friend, her eyes growing damp.
"Well, what can we do?" Spongebob exclaimed, flailing his arms in emphasis on the dire situation they were in.
Sandy thought for a moment, scratching her head. She knew there would be a chance she could take down Wendy. After all, she had the intellectual capacity to manufacture countless inventions, including...
Then her eyes widened in realization. "Spongebob! Do you remember that certain cellular device I invented?"
"The one that reads stress signals to instantly try to contact whoever you are trying to reach?" Spongebob confirmed.
Sandy nodded her head. "We can use to try to get a hold of anyone that might help save McGee and his daughter."
Spongebob's normally gloomy expression quickly reverted to that of excitement. "Well, where is it?" He ecstatically asked, getting up to her feet and grabbing Sandy by her shoulders.
Sandy laughed as she pried Spongebob's grasp off of her. "It's in my old apartment."
"Then what are we waiting for? We're burning daylight! Let's go!"
Sandy was stunned for a moment of seeing Spongebob as excited as he had been throughout the majority of the duration she had known him. It had been months since she had seen a smile this big creep onto Spongebob's face. She missed this side of Spongebob so much, that she couldn't restrain herself as she roughly cupped Spongebob's face. Spongebob was stunned for a moment by was instantly blown away when Sandy pressed her lips onto his.
After 5 full seconds of this, Sandy finally pulled her lips apart from Spongebob's, leaving him in a state of shock.
Sandy stepped back a bit as she scratched the back of her neck nervously. "Sorry," her voice betrayed her by momentarily stuttering as the realization of what she had done left her in a daze.
As Spongebob tried to grasp what had just occurred, tears began to form in his eyes as he began to process what Sandy had done, even after everything he had put her through. The fights they had when he was completely intoxicated, the heartbreak he put her through when they finally decided to end it all, and the crucial moment when he raised his hand and without thinking struck her so hard she fell to the ground before running out of his house. Despite all of that, she had forgiven him, enough to grant him a brief but passionate kiss.
"Sandy," Spongebob whispered as the emotions began to spill over. He gulped as he tried to speak without choking on his own tears. "Is this what you want?"
Sandy gave him a sweet smile before reaching over to caress his left cheek. "It's more than what I could ever wish for," she said lovingly. "We are going to get through this together."
Spongebob chuckled as he spoke. "Well then, let's go."
With that, they exited the house hand-in-hand as they embarked towards Sandy's old apartment, finally plotting to bring Patrick's killer to the ground.
She didn't know where she was at the moment. The intensity of the entire situation was making her extremely nauseous. There was nothing Tina McGee could do but isolate herself in the cramped closet she sought refuge for after finally breaking the grasp of Wendy's men. After being abducted, both Tina and her father were escorted by armed men into two separate vans. They were both gagged with tight ropes tying their hands behind their backs. Tina had managed to use the sharp edge of the trunks to break her bonds before bolting out of the vehicle, screaming bloody mary as she ran through the abandoned streets, with Wendy's men in full pursuit. She managed to lose them by running into an empty hotel room. She ran up the stairs, panting as the adrenaline of the situation was almost eating her alive from the inside out. She reached the top floor, ran into a random suite, and hid inside a shoe closet. She was only armed with a glittering knife she found in the trunk of the van she was in.
Now the building was being ransacked by the guards, all were extremely built, wearing black vests and armed with SMGs.
She knew she had to contact help, but all she had on her was her cell phone. Tina quickly pulled it out and searched through her contacts in a frenzy.
Just then, an unknown number called her. She gasped but quickly let out a relieving sigh as her phone was only vibrating after she had silenced it. She knew there would be no one trying to contact her unless it was the authorities attempting to reach Tina as they planned to rescue both her and her father.
Tina very hesitantly answered the number, making sure the floor she was on was still vacant. She whispered frantically. "Who is it?"
"Tina McGee?" A female voice replied.
"Who is this?"
"Listen, my name is Sandy Cheeks. You must have heard me on the news a lot." Sandy replied with a sense of pride in herself for her accomplishments, but she did not let that distract her from this crucial conversation with Tina.
Tina had known Sandy as the renowned scientist, and was an avid fan of her, but what was she calling her for?
"Yes, I have heard from you. I'm in trouble and I need help," Tina whispered frantically so the guards wouldn't hear her.
"Stay calm," Sandy spoke firmly. "I am here to help. Where are you exactly?"
Tina carefully crept through the closet door to see if the coast was clear. Her voice was laced with pure fright as she spoke to Sandy. "I-I am in the closet. 17th-floor suite. 6-63rd and Tuna Fish Ave."
"Which side?"
"I-I don't know."
"It's okay," Sandy spoke soothingly. "Just save my number in your list of contacts and share your phone's location with me."
"Okay, please hurry," Tina's voice was about to break down as the fear left her trembling in the tiny closet she was in.
"Just stay calm. We're on our way."
Timothy was thrown hard onto the ground, having been shoved by a much bigger individual into a small room with concrete walls. The only source of light was the weak florescent lights that lined up the ceiling, nearly blinding the mayor with its bright and flickering blue rays. Timothy anxiously looked up at the corner the realized there was a small, cube-shaped cavity that was located at the high end of the wall. He then groaned in frustration as hopes of escaping had been extinguished the cavity was barred off by rusty iron bars. There was no one occupying the room, besides himself, the muscular-looking bass fish that had thrown him roughly into the room, and a female figure. A blond-haired woman with flaky blue skin wearing blue jeans and a torn white blouse that looked as if it had not been washed or sanitized for weeks.
"Get me out of here!" He shouted defiantly, trying to stand, but then receive a gruesome blow to the gut by the bass fish.
Wendy cackled a bit before lashing out against the weak mayor. "And who are you to stop us, McGee?"
As Wendy took tiny steps closer to the beaten-up mayor, Tim held his left hand defensively. "Ms. Shore, please," he begged, his eyes growing damp as fear began to engulf his mind. "You don't have to do this. Just please let me and my daughter go."
Wendy put on a wicked grin as she spoke with a mockingly sweet tone. "Why should I let you go? I have plans for you. As for your daughter-" Just then, she was interrupted by the sudden ringing of her cell phone. She groaned as she pulled it out from her pocket and answered. "Yes...what is it, Greg?" After a few seconds, her face then turned crimson as she gritted her teeth in anger. "What do you mean she got away?!"
Timothy's eyes widened as he knew the call was referring to his daughter. She was shoved in a different van than him, now he was hearing that she miraculously escaped.
"Listen, Greg. You and those goons better capture her and bring her to me, or else?!" She ordered firmly before throwing her phone to the other side of the room in pure frustration. After taking a few deep breaths to calm herself. She then turned to her bass assistant and spoke. "Javier, watch over this guy while I go take a hike."
The bass, known as Javier, nodded his head as Wendy exited the room. He glanced over at his vulnerable captive and couldn't help but smirk at the fear that glazed over Tim's face.
He walked out of the room, but now before giving the mayor one last grin before speaking. "Enjoy your stay." He laughed maniacally before shutting the wooden door. A clink was heard from the other side, which was mayor could recognize as a lock shutting, signaling that he was officially...trapped.
After a brief visit to the hospital Larry was staying, Sandy was granted permission to use his van for her pending mission. Sandy and Spongebob then drove the dark blue, rusty van over to Sandy's apartment. There, they grabbed all the necessary materials, including their clothes, electronics, and even a few of Sandy's inventions which they could use as weapons. They knew Wendy very well, and she never goes unarmed, especially since she was a wanted woman.
The sun was just about to rise once the duo had completed packing up the van. In a flash, they hopped into the van. Sandy put the key into the ignition, started the car, and drove off into the nearest highway.
As they drove, Spongebob felt a little unsteady at the thought of coming face-to-face with Wendy. To this day, she had taken over his sleep. He would hate going to sleep because of the haunting nightmares, most of which included Patrick trusting Spongebob with his life, only to lose it to Wendy.
But a tiny part of Spongebob wanted revenge. Cruel revenge. His best friend, his comrade, his right-hand man, his brother...was taken from Wendy, sending the sponge into a depressive episode. Now, this was it, they were to confront Wendy and take her down, and there was nothing that could satisfy Spongebob more than watching his best friend's killer behind bars forever.
Sandy glanced over at Spongebob and noticed that was deep into his thought. She lifted her right hand off of her wheel and placed it on Spongebob's left leg. Spongebob looked up at Sandy's loving eyes and couldn't help but smirk.
"New Kelp City..." Sandy muttered.
"Here we come," Spongebob finished with a winning grin.
