Eda had made it quiet clear to not leave the house. It was simple right? The brother and sister just had to follow the owl lady's orders.
WELL...let's just say It didn't go as planned.
The house was peaceful, to say the least. King was in the living room while Luz was in the kitchen watching Lilith cook Griffen eggs for two the them before she goes to work with the emperor.
Lillth left a pancake in the Skillet for king and the griffen eggs on the counter for Luz.
"King, look at this!" Luz excalmied as she flipped the pancake and caught it. King happily laughed as he climbed up his sister's shoulder, grabbing the plate for himself and sat down at the table.
The preteen salted her eggs and grabbed apple blood from the fridge and began to eat.They sat peacefully for a while until the two of them heard a nocking at the door.
Who could be nocking at this hour?
Luz looked at King before getting up as she walked to the living room to hear another knock. Okay, that's one. Another knock at the door. Okay that's two.
She pulled her hand in a fist and knocked back. Grabbing a safety knife from the kitchen. Luz opened the door as she flinched when she saw that it was one of the coven guards.
"Luz Noceda Lightwidage Clawthorne! You are under arrest for fatrinizing with the most wanted criminal on the boiling isles."
The eight year old, gasped and ran towards the kitchen. Grabbing King as she went out the back door near the boiling sea.
Rushing their way to the forest. Luz climbed up a tree to make a rope out of vines that was near her.
"I FORBID YOU TO FLEE! WILD WITCH!" the guard yelled, making the brother and sister jump down onto ground level.
throwing the rope on to a branch, as she tied a not on to it. The guard screamed again making it's way towards her and tripping on to the rope.
King smirked and tied it around the guards waist as he climbed onto Luz's shoulder.
"Ha! IN YOUR FACE, coven Guard." Luz shouted. Jumping up and down.
King chuckled as he glanced over at a tree that had some weird symbol on it.
"Luz, look!" King pointed, making Luz bend down and traces her finger on the mark. Remembering how her mom did a spell circle.
She stood up and spinned her finger around , making light come out of it.
"King. Do you realize what you've just done?"
She sked with a stern tone that made king haunch back.
"You just helped me learn my first spell! C'mere!"
Luz picked him up and squeezed him tightly against her.
"C'mon, let's go back for real this time."
Little did they know. Some one was already there.
"KIDS!"
