To SuperSaiyanFever: Android 21 may not exist, but Vomi (Gero's wife) is canon in the PRIMAL universe. Also, Future Trunks' meddling in time was a necessity. What caused the PRIMAL branched timeline to happen had something to do with another event occurring after Buu's redemption.

To Terkoish: Listen, while you're correct about Goku's situation on a technical level, Goku doesn't think that way because he doesn't know about the other conditions that led to the things that occurred in his adult life. To him, everything that happened in Dragon Ball Z up until the Cell Games was his fault. That's why Goku chose to stay dead after Perfect Cell's defeat. Yet, his sacrifice led to him realizing what he gave up. And it's eating at him, especially given that he has another son that he knows nothing about. Grandpa Gohan saw that Goku missing his home, friends, and family is weighing on Goku's heart and mind. This is my take on Goku's development and character.

To Ethan Demas: Uh, I'm not sure Vegeta would be so thrilled that a human took Saiyan genes to empower himself.

To anon9919: What are you trying to convey, exactly? That Vegeta hasn't changed? In this continuity, he's been changing and he's continuing to change. And as for Saiyans being inherently evil? As I said, the legend of the Super Saiyan God proves that they are not evil by nature. However, read this chapter to learn more about this canon's version of the lore. Also, please be sure to make your points clear and as grammatically accurate as possible. It's hard to make out what you're trying to say. Other than that, thanks for the comment.

To Ushindi:

1. Cell Max served his purpose, but he's not much of a character as he is a glorified cameo and fan service.

2. If I was in the Dragon Ball Universe, I'd be either a Saiyan hybrid, a Namekian, or a Shinjin (Creation God/Supreme Kai).

3. I'd like Saiyaman more if he did more on-screen and if he didn't do those weird Tokusatsu poses. I get it, that's what he is supposed to parody. But the poses aren't even cool. That's why I took the Superman approach with PRIMAL Gohan's Great Saiyaman.

Last time on Dragon Ball Z PRIMAL, Sharpner and Erasa had an argument that nearly cost them their friendship. Meanwhile, Dr. Yanagi found an opportunity with the president of Heatap to renovate an abandoned amusement park on a remote island into a special tournament grounds for a new Būdokai. Later on, Dr. Yanagi invited Gohan to test out a new Solid Light system, which was a perfect chance to obtain his DNA. And he succeeded. What else is in store for Gohan and his friends? Find out, now!

Orange Star High, Hercule City, Age 774

Once again, Gohan and his friends were at school, working on their assignments from class to class. Despite Sharpner and Erasa being relatively distanced from each other due to their dispute a week ago, everybody's synergy was decent enough to make progress on their history group project. When lunchtime rolled around, Gohan, Sharpner, Erasa, Videl, and Barry Khan gathered at the school roof to eat in peace as they exchanged conversations and information.

It was during this time that Barry dropped a huge bombshell.

"There's a new tournament!?" Sharpner and Videl screamed at the same time.

"That's right," Barry smirked like his father.

"How strange…" Gohan said after finishing a bowl of ramen. "I thought that this year's Tenkaichi Būdokai was canceled. How could there still be a tournament if there's no place to hold it?"

"The old man told me that he and some rich schmuck over at Heatap are working on a project on an island near the temple where the usual tournament is held. That island had an abandoned amusement that the rich guy dropped. My guess is that they're remodeling it into the arena… or maybe something bigger than that." Barry explained.

"Rumor has it that the person collaborating with Dr. Yanagi is Xavier Saint Cash, himself! Many people believe that he's hosting it!" Erasa gushed.

"Heatap's CEO, huh?" Sharpner muttered to himself quietly.

"But why would a guy like X.S. Cash would want to host something like a tournament?" Videl questioned.

"Apparently, Cash's son is a fan of the Būdokai and got upset that they canceled it this year. So,

Cash took matters into his own hands since he had the money." Erasa added.

"The guy asked my pops for help and he accepted. Now, they're both working nonstop on this passion project."

"Oh wow," Said Gohan. "This is going to be quite the event if two of the wealthiest people in the world are participating in such an expensive project."

Turning to Barry, Videl pressed, "Is there any more information about this tournament? Rules? Conditions? Prizes?"

"Woah, slow down!" Barry said, holding his hands out. "The project is ongoing. There's not much else that's known at the moment. All that I know is that thanks to new innovations in tech, the building where the whole thing will take place should be done at the beginning of next month. And that's if things go smoothly. We're going to have to wait for more info as the weeks go by."

Videl parted her lips only to close them as she huffed, "Fine."

Erasa then asked the three fighters (Videl, Sharpner, Gohan), "Are you guys planning to enter?"

Videl looked at her with half-lidded stare, saying, "Do you have to ask? Of course, I'm entering."

Sharpner said, "If there's prize money like the official Būdokai, then I'll join in on it."

Before Gohan could answer, Barry said, "I'll join in on the action, too."

Turning to Barry, Gohan and Sharpner asked together, "You fight?"

While grabbing a hold of Barry's right arm, Erasa gushed, "Of course Barry-kun sure does! He's been practicing his self-taught boxing and other mixed martial arts styles since he was young."

While Sharpner remained unphased at Erasa's gushing, Gohan raised an eyebrow in curiosity."

"Is that right? That's the first time that I'm hearing about this." Videl said before taking a bite out of her sandwich.

"I'm a man of action. After all, actions speak louder than words." Barry Khan winked.

Erasa then turned to Gohan and asked, "What about you, Son-kun? Do you plan on entering this tournament?"

Feeling a tinge of apprehension, Gohan scratched his head wearily as he steadily answered, "...To be honest, I'm not too keen on tournaments like this. My dad, yeah. He loves stuff like that. Not me, though. So, I think I might pass on the invite."

Comments ranged from "what?!" and "seriously?!" resounded from the group due to their surprise and slight disappointment that they felt from Gohan's answer. Heck, even Barry was shocked inside of his mind.

"Dude, the tournament hasn't been announced yet. Are you sure that you don't want in?" Sharpener asked.

"Yeah! You'd do amazing there, Son-kun." Erasa added, trying to encourage her friend to enter.

"Not to mention that we still never had an official match." Videl reminded Gohan, causing him to swallow hard. "And a tournament would be a great way for me to test how far I've come since I started training. What's the point of entering if there's nobody challenging enough to fight? Come, Gohan-kun! It'll be great!"

Gohan remained steadfast at his decision, shaking his head.

"I'd rather not. I don't want the publicity, and fighting competitions do not interest me. Sorry…" Gohan said.

"It's fine, Son Boy. If you don't want to do it, then you don't have to. No pressure." Barry casually accepted.

'Shit! This isn't good. Father's not going to be please at all. There's got to be a way to convince him otherwise.'

"Oh yeah?" Challenged Videl. "Well, let's see what Chi-Chi has to say about that!"

"What, what!?" Gohan cried.

As fast as lightning, Videl took out her smartphone and dialed Gohan's house number. After a few rings, Chi-Chi answered the phone from the other line.

(Son Residence, this is Chi-Chi speaking.)

"Hi, Chi-Chi. It's Videl."

(Videl! What a pleasant surprise! How are you, dear?)

"Oh, I'm fine. We're at our lunchtime right now. By the way, your miso ramen was incredible."

(Well, I'm glad you've enjoyed it! Hopefully, you and my son could tie the knot one day and I can teach you the family—Oh, I'm daydreaming again! What can I do for you?)

Disregarding the hot blush on her face, Videl cleared her throat and asked, "R-Right. Listen, I know that you're not too keen on Gohan-kun fighting these days but I was wondering if it's okay for him to enter a martial arts tournament."

(Enter the tournament? In the middle of the school year? Absolutely not! Gohan-chan needs to study so he can graduate on time, and the last thing that he needs is to waste valuable time studying because of some lousy slug-fest that's a shell of its former prestigious self! School comes first, young lady! And besides, even if it was an option to give him, the Tenkaichi Būdokai for this is canceled.) Chi-Chi answered, not amused in the slightest.

Videl bit her lip in frustration as she thought to herself, 'Damn, she's one tough customer! No wonder she was considered the strongest woman on the planet. But she's not the only strong woman around!'

"Oh? Well, that's too bad… The amount of prize money for whoever wins looks pretty high." Videl said, feigning disappointment.

Sharpner, Erasa, Barry Khan, and Gohan all looked at each other, then turned back to Videl, having a suspicion of where this conversation was leading to.

(...Prize money? Did you say prize money?)

A devilish smirk formed on Videl's face, as she falsely stated, "Yeah, there's prize money. It's the same as the 24th Tenkaichi Būdokai. The winner gets ten million zeni, the runner-up gets five million zeni, third place gets three million, fourth place gets two million, and fifth place gets one million."

(TEN MILLION ZENI! T-That's enough money to

put both my boys through school!) Chi-Chi cried with excitement. (Videl, be a dear and put me on speaker.)

Pressing a button, Videl said, "He can hear you loud and proud."

(SON GOHAN, YOU'RE GONNA ENTER THAT NEW TOURNAMENT AND WIN THAT PRIZE MONEY! OUR FARM MAY EARN A DECENT AMOUNT BUT THAT PRIZE MONEY COULD BE USED TO SUPPORT THIS FAMILY AND TO FURTHER YOUR AND YOUR BROTHER'S EDUCATION! SO, YOU'LL BE JOINING THAT TOURNAMENT IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU, MISTER!)

Gohan was simply left speechless, but swallowed hard as he nodded at his mother's order.

Smiling at her victory, Videl pressed the speaker button and said, "Oh, he understands. I'll keep you updated on it."

(Great! Let me know! Keep in touch, dear.)

"Will do, Chi-Chi. See you soon."

Videl hung up and gave everybody a victory sign with her right hand.

Videl smirked, "Looks like the lady has spoken. So, what was that about not fighting again?"

"W-Why did you do that!?" Gohan shouted in a confused and semi-frustrated way. "I said that I don't want any part of the tournament! And now I–"

"–You'll be able to fight me legitimately and I can see where I stand," Videl said, interrupting Gohan.

The half Saiyan groaned at his friend's antics.

"Vi, don't you think making Son-kun enter the tournament against his wishes is a bit much? He doesn't seem to be as passionate about fighting as you." Erasa questioned.

Ignoring Erasa, Videl glared at Gohan saying, "Oh, quit pouting and do me this solid! You've got to get out of the mindset of staying inside of your comfort zone. All of your life, you've been hiding from the world and who you are. You're not just a scholar, Gohan-kun, you're a very capable fighter. It runs in your veins. That's something that should be explored and expressed. And since the idea of energy is now being more accepted, you can show the world what you can do without worrying about facing persecution."

"But I…" Gohan tried to dispute, only to pause mid-sentence.

Sharpner added, "You know what? Videl's right. The world's changing and people are realizing what they're capable of if they are willing to try. Maybe this is a chance to show them what we can do. And who knows, this tournament could be interesting."

"Sharpie Boy's got the right idea," Barry said, re-entering the conversation. "My pops' goal is for this Būdokai to be exciting and to be a great time for everybody."

Gohan sighed, "I guess…"

Erasa asked, "Are you okay?"

"I just don't seem to understand the appeal of these events. I mean, my dad lived and breathed martial arts. It was his way of life, so of course, he'd find this fun. I'm not like him, so I don't find this to be fun. Why are you guys so hellbent on getting me to participate?" Gohan explained.

"Hey, you can't say you don't like something that you've never experienced." Videl countered. "And no offense, but I don't think you ever tried to understand your dad's interest in tournaments. You were too busy being cooped up in a room reading textbooks to care about the adrenaline rush of being a part of something big like a Būdokai."

Gohan shouted, "Hey! That's not–"

Gohan paused mid-sentence, trying to think about what Videl had said to him.

"Well? Am I wrong?" The girl inquired as if she was daring him to correct her.

Gohan tried to find any memory of himself

only to realize the truth. The hybrid never truly understood his father's interests in getting stronger nor did he try to see why he should care. After all, the world would usually be in peril whenever there were tough foes that needed to be brought down and his father would often be away during those times. The thrill of battle was never something he shared with Goku.

"...You're right," Gohan admitted with a sense of realization. "I-I never cared for it. Never tried to understand Dad's ambition. I guess all those times of…you know, I just wanted everything to go back to the way things were. When he was home. Just being there without worrying about having to fight something for once."

While the others remained silent, Videl softened her expression as she said, "Maybe it's time you should see things from his point of view. It'll give you a better understanding of why he loves tournaments. Something new that you could experience, even if it's for once in your life. And who knows? Perhaps you'll come to enjoy fighting for fun too. Can you do this one solid? That's all that I'm asking."

Gohan nodded slightly before wearily smiling at the girl.

"Fine… But dis you have to bring my mother into this?"

Placing her hands on her hips, Videl smirked, "You should know me well enough by now, Gohan-kun. If there's something that I want, I'll get it by nearly any means. Besides, everybody knows that the best way to get you to do anything fun is to get Chi-Chi on board. So, I used that to my advantage. That, you're like the biggest mama's boy that I know."

The group chuckled at Gohan's blushing face, much to the teen's ire.

"Hey, I resent that! Wait, there's no information about anything related to prize money. How are you gonna tell her about that if that hasn't been released yet?" The hybrid questioned.

"Oh, please! They're going to follow normal tournament rules. I know that for sure, or there wouldn't be a tournament." Videl reasoned while waving Gohan's worry off. "And even if they couldn't give out the prize money, I can always dig up some saved bills from my hidden stash."

"Oh…" Gohan muttered before reacting comically. "…Eh!?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot that we buried some cash in the middle of nowhere," Sharpner commented with Erasa remembering as well.

"Yeah, the summertime during middle school was fun!" The blonde girl reminisced.

Gohan then asked, "How rich are you?"

Videl then got close to Gohan, causing him to blush as she cockily answered, "I'm the richest girl in the world. And if it was legal, Wonderboy, I could buy you for life if I wanted to."

Gohan sputtered into a blushing mess that he was not only speechless again, but he dropped his own sandwich. The group let out another round of laughter from his reaction.

While the embarrassment proved to be a distraction, all that he knew was that there was no getting out of the new tournament. This meant that there was much more training that he had to do.

Capsule Corporation, West City, Age 774

After School, Gohan arrived in Bulma's lab, where he was met with Bulma, Dr. Briefs, and surprisingly Erasa. They were all sitting down at the table while discussing a blueprint that was titled Project GEAR.

"Hey, guys. I hope I'm not intruding." Gohan announced politely.

"Hi, Son-kun." Erasa greeted, waving at the hero.

Bulma casually said, "You're fine, Gohan-kun. We've started to go over something. What can we do for you, kiddo?"

"I'll keep this short. Could you or Dr. Briefs help me find information about any of the other scientists that were involved with the Red Ribbon Army besides Dr. Gero?" Gohan asked.

"You're starting your portion of the school project early?" Erasa questioned, tilting her head with a hint of curiosity.

Gohan nodded while saying, "Might as well get it out of the way if I'm going to be training more than usual. It's not like I have a choice on the matter…"

"Ah, a school research project! I haven't done anything of that sort in ages." Dr. Briefs said, getting out of the seat before turning to the other women.

"Excuse me, ladies. You two can carry on without this old man. I am needed elsewhere."

"Thanks, Dad." Said Bulma as she turned to Gohan. "Good luck with your assignment, kid."

Gohan nodded as Dr. Briefs took the boy to a standard computer lab nearby Bulma's lab. Gohan selected a computer and sat down on the chair across from it, with the old scientist finding another to sit by Gohan.

While the research started, Dr. Briefs gave Gohan instructions to go to specific scholastic domains that possessed common knowledge about the obvious information found on Dr. Gero, given that Gohan couldn't simply list what he knew on the top of his head. After settling for three sources on the topic of Dr. Gero, Gohan decided to record an interview with Dr. Briefs to help expand the information about the other scientists using his smartphone as a recorder.

"Thanks for the help again, Dr. Briefs."

"Oh, it's no problem, my boy. I figured this would be a nice change of pace from the usual meetings involving machinery. Besides, I haven't done something this simple since my college days as a young lad!" Dr. Briefs said while chuckling. "Good times…"

"Fair enough," Gohan said as he prepared to type. "So, are there any other members of the Red Ribbon Army science division? All that I know is of Dr. Gero."

"Well, there's Dr. Phillp Frappé. Unlike his other colleague, he was forced to work for the Red Ribbon as they held him at gunpoint. In fact, he was responsible for Number 8's creation." Dr. Briefs explained.

"Really? He created Eighter? I thought that was one of Gero's older models." Gohan commented.

Dr. Briefs shook his head, stating, "Not at all. Philip was more interested in creating machines with human sentience. Maki merely took his model and modified it to be suited up as a weapon. What Maki didn't account for was Number 8's advanced artificial intelligence and sentience."

"...Just like Number 16." Gohan muttered.

"Precisely," Dr. Briefs confirmed. "When Bulma and I were fixing 16 while safely removing the bomb in his chest, I noticed that Maki borrowed elements of design and programming from Philip's work."

"I see…" Gohan nodded. "Are there any other notable figures in the science division?"

Dr. Briefs' face contorted into that of regret.

"...Yes. There was one more." Dr. Briefs answered with a solemn expression. "I knew him personally. He used to work for me."

"Wait, what!? He did!?" Gohan cried in shock.

"Yes. Dr. Jonathan Wheelo was his name. I hired him for his expertise on medication through biotechnology." Dr. Briefs explained.

"Huh, that sounds a lot like Dr. Yanagi's work," Gohan commented.

Dr. Briefs merely scoffed, saying, "Oh, sure, biotechnology is much more prominent these days, but it was ahead of its time when I was in my prime."

"What happened to Dr. Wheelo, Dr. Briefs? Why did he join the Red Ribbon Army if he worked for you?"

"Gohan, what you have to understand is that Jonathan, although he was brilliant, the man was very ambitious. One of the most ambitious men that I ever met."

"How so?"

"Due to his background in biochemistry and biotech engineering, Jonathan obtained a fascination with expanding one's lifespan. It started out as an idea when Jonathan helped create artificial prosthetic limbs. But he always seemed unsatisfied with his extraordinary work, striving for more than what he already accomplished. Every chance he got, Jonathan pushed for an idea to produce alternate artificially enhanced bodies for dying and or sickly humans to occupy. " Dr. Briefs explained. "Obviously, I turned his madness down. Little did I know, that ambition would take a dark turn."

"What did he do, Dr. Briefs?" Gohan questioned, dreading what came next.

"He breached our policy and conducted unauthorized experiments using human DNA in order to create clones." Dr. Briefs revealed in a dark manner.

Gohan shouted, "What!? He can't do that! To use a person's DNA for something so inhumane… i-it's unethical!"

Nodding, Dr. Briefs said, "I know, and I agree. That's why I fired him the moment I caught wind of it. I even had him blacklisted from the industry and had his medical licenses revoked for the safety of other people and himself. The only reason why I hadn't pressed charges or sued him was that he was a family man like myself."

"Was that what led him to join the Red Ribbon Army?" Asked the high schooler.

"It was much more complicated than that, I'm afraid." Dr. Briefs explained. "While I hadn't heard from Jonathan until he wrote some of his last letters while he was still alive, according to him, he was desperately trying to develop a cure for his wife's terminal illness. They both knew she had it for a while, and so his research and ambitions stemmed from desperation to save his wife. For decades, he kept that a secret out of pride. He said that Commander Red approached him one day with an offer he couldn't refuse. The funding to back his research in exchange for his services."

"And Dr. Wheelo took it," Gohan answered, understanding the dead scientist's logic.

"Yes. He loved Ayame with all of his heart." Dr. Briefs nodded. "He felt at the time, all of the work that the Red Ribbon Army forced him to do was worth saving his wife's life. Commander Red placed him in his science division as Maki's understudy and assistant."

"What a minute! You mean to tell me that Dr. Wheelo was Dr. Gero's understudy?" Gohan inquired in a bewildered manner.

Dr. Briefs answered, "It's not too hard to see. Maki was known to produce weapons of mass destruction. He adopted Philip's Artificial Human models after Number 8's design. However, Jonathan's influence came around and changed his approach. Where do you think he got the idea for augmenting humans with enhanced cybernetics? Hell, I even theorize that the concept of Cell stemmed from Jonathan's school of thought."

Gohan remained silent for a moment, wrapping his head around the thought of a creature like Cell being the result of a man solely pushing the boundaries of nature and science. He shook his head, mentally disregarding the fact to sort another day.

"What happened after that?"

"He lost his wife. During his time grieving, Jonathan realized how heinous the Red Ribbon Army truly was, so he escaped the organization before your father's raid and adopted a new identity with his son in South City. He was eventually found by the government and was sentenced to be executed under King Furry's orders." Dr. Briefs answered.

"Oh… That's horrible." Gohan said in forlorn.

"It really is tragic." Dr. Briefs said, wiping his eyes from the few tears that ran down his face. "I knew Jonathan since he was a young man. I attended his wedding as his best man. We partied together with our wives, having a great time. Heh, he was the godfather to my eldest daughter, Tights. Jonathan was like a younger brother to me. And to see him going down such a self-destructive path that made him lose everything, it was heartbreaking."

Gohan then asked, "Are you okay, Dr. Briefs?"

"Wounds heal over time, son. That doesn't mean that they don't hurt in some capacity. Though, if I had any sort of regret in my long life, it's that I wasn't able to see the signs behind Jonathan's desperation and descent into madness. If I had just caught it sooner, maybe I could have saved him before it was too late." Expressed the guilt-ridden man.

Standing up from his chair, Dr. Briefs said, "I suppose that Jonathan Wheelo's life is a lesson to learn. Man rushed in to embrace technology. Unfortunately for him, he didn't think about the consequences of playing god. It's times like this where I question whether or not we should even have access to divine items like the Dragon Balls. To have control over life and death. Is it right to upset that natural order of the universe? Or are we merely abusing powers beyond our comprehension?"

Gohan stopped the recording on his phone as Dr. Briefs said, "You can use that website I showed you to search for information about Dr. Frappé and Dr. Wheelo there. That should help you with the sources you need to complete your assignment."

Nodding Gohan as he said, "Alright, then. Thank you for your time, Dr. Briefs. It was quite informative."

The man waved Gohan good luck in his studies and left the Saiyan hybrid to tend to his dinosaurs in another wing.

Human Café, Hercule City, Age 774

It was now the middle of the second week and school was let out. Videl decided to head to Hanuman Café for some alone time. With a similar mindset to Gohan, the daughter of Hercule thought it would be wise to get her portion of the slideshow done.

So far, she had found three sources for Commander Red, Commander Black, General Blue, General White, Colonel Silver, and Colonel Violet.

While typing on her laptop, Videl said, "Get a loaf of these wack jobs. A paramilitary criminal organization that's responsible for the increased manufacturing of some of the top war vehicles on the market for years, spent millions of zeni to locate a legend to take over the world. Only to be beaten by an alien kid before he even hit puberty."

Videl snorted humorously, "What a way to go down…"

As she typed away on her laptop, Videl was greeted by a familiar face that was behind her.

"H-Hi, Videl!"

Videl stopped working to see Cocoa, who seemed to be off for the day.

"Oh. it's you, Cocoa. I thought you were working today?" Videl said.

Cocoa shook her head, saying, "Nope. I finished my shift yesterday. I u-usually come by off work to get away from the house, you know?"

"Ugh! Tell me about it! Home life can be too much." Videl sympathized. "Want to sit and chat for a bit? I could use a break from school work."

"I'd love to!" Cocoa squealed in joy before timidly returning to normal. "I-I mean, sure."

Videl smiled as the chestnut-haired girl pulled out a chair and sat next to the female fighter.

While staring at the girl, Videl thought, 'The that she acts reminds me a lot of Gohan-kun… But Cocoa's much more timid than Gohan was suspicious.'

"You know, we haven't really got to know each other that much," Videl said steadily. "Why don't we answer basic trivia questions?"

"U-Um, sure. Whatever you want to talk about, Videl."

"Alright. What's your favorite food? I like anything appetizer that's grilled with a side of caesar salad."

"Hm… I like s-smoked salmon drenched in lemon juice with the side of steamed rice." Cocoa answered.

"Mmm! That sounds great. What about your favorite color? While most people associate me with white or red, I actually grew to like the color gold..." Videl confessed as her kind wandered to a certain hybrid's Super Saiyan transformation during the Cell Games.

Seeing the light blush on the girl's face, Cocoa asked curiously, "Really? Why's that, Videl?"

Snapping out of her daydream, Videl stuttered, "N-No reason! It's just a cool color, is all."

Smiling, Cocoa replied while giggling, "It's alright, Videl. I get it. I think all colors are special in their own unique way. And while pink was my first favorite for a long time, I've recently fallen for dark purple..."

Videl watched the employee of the café swoon at the simple mention of her favorite color. Squinting her eyes, Videl could feel that there was a deeper meaning to the phrase but dropped the notion to think about it at another time.

Videl continued, "Right… So, what about hobbies? What do you like to do for fun? Outside of punching crooks' lights out, I like to train in martial arts and hang out with my friends."

"Well…Truthfully, I barely get out of the house, so I don't really have friends to go out with. But, when I'm alone, I like to practice singing." Cocoa answered.

"Wow, for real?" Videl asked with interest.

"Yeah! I always feel free whenever I get to sing. It gives me life, you know?" Cocoa expressed. "To me, my voice is the one thing that nobody can control or take away from me."

"I get it. It's like your passion." Videl empathized. "So, what? Do you want to be a singer and songwriter? A musical artist?"

Looking out the window and to the distance, Cocoa said, "I want to do more with my voice. I want to travel the world and see new places. And I want to share my voice with the world and make people laugh and smile with it."

"It sounds to me that you're aiming to be in the acting business." Videl assumed.

Cocoa just smiled at Videl before her face fell in sadness.

"But that's only a dream….Father would never approve." Cocoa muttered.

"What!? Why the hell not!?" Videl cried, but not too loud to cause a ruckus. "Barry's a big shot as the poster boy for that supplement brand. Why wouldn't the doc support you?"

Cocoa shook her head, saying, "Dad said that it would be a waste of time and money. Even then, He's a bit…overprotective. He doesn't want me to be sullied by such a depraved industry that only serves as a distraction to mindless sheep."

A tick mark formed on Videl's head as she proceeded to fume from the inside.

'T-That jerk! What kind of parent would reject their child's dream while favoring the other's!? And here I thought my dad was the worst! At least he supported me when I became a martial artist! What is wrong with that guy! Do all fathers turn shifty at a certain point!?'

Before Videl could explode, Cocoa placed a hand over the pigtail-haired girl's hand. Her eyes had a gentleness and pleading look to them that called Videl down somewhat.

"Videl, please don't be upset with him. My father may seem harsh, but he only wants what's for my best interest." Cocoa pleaded.

With a scrunched-up expression, Videl said, "No offense, but it doesn't seem like it to me. Even if that's the case, he sure has a hell of a way of showing it."

Cocoa sighed, "You wouldn't understand… Can we talk about something else, please?"

"Sure thing," Videl nodded. "I heard from Barry that the doc and Heatap CEO X.S. Cash is throwing a tournament at the beginning of next month. Do you know any new details that may or may not be finalized?"

Blinking, Cocoa rubbed her right arm as she thought to herself for a moment out loud.

"Oh, I did hear rumors about that, but Father never trusts me with highly classified secrets. But, he did ask me for an opinion about a name for the tournament." Cocoa stated.

"A name, huh? What did you come up with?" Videl asked curiously.

"I'm not sure if it's going to be used or not, but I settled for Dai Yōsō Ken Būdokai as a possible name for the event."

"Great Elemental Fist Martial Arts Gathering?" Videl translated literally.

"I mean you can shorten it to the Elemental Tournament if you want to." Cocoa offered. "But, that's what I came up with. I don't know if Father will go for it."

"Right. The name just makes me wonder what would make it, you know, Elemental themed." Videl explained. "Solving mysteries is kind of a pastime for me, too."

"I see." Cocoa nodded as she asked her next question. "Say, Videl? I heard from Barry that Gohan-kun is entering the tournament. I-Is that true?"

Smirking, Videl said, "Hell yeah, he's entering! And I can't wait, either! I can finally put my skills to the test in a real fight against a worthy opponent!"

Cocoa could see Videl's eyes practically burning with excitement from the amount of enthusiasm.

"You must be looking forward to that… Fighting must mean a lot to you, being Mr. Satan's daughter."

Videl's enthusiasm dropped as she retorted, "I could care less about that stuff. Dad may be the champion and I may be his daughter, but Gohan-kun opened my eyes to see that there's much more depth to martial arts than for it to be a mere sport to dabble in."

Cocoa was taken aback by Videl's words, but quickly refocused and continued her conversation.

"R-Right. Barry also told me that Gohan-kun doesn't seem to enjoy martial arts as you do and that you made him go against his wishes…" Cocoa said, causing Videl to pause immediately.

The awkward silence between the two girls created tension so thick, that it could be sliced into like butter.

"...So that is true as well." Cocoa answered quietly.

"...It's not a big deal. Gohan-kun is just doing a solid for me." Videl said casually, waving the situation off.

"Videl, it may not seem like a big deal to you, but from what Barry told me, it was to Gohan-kun." The chestnut-haired girl replied.

Videl shot back, "Why do you care? What's going on between Gohan-kun and I is none of your business, okay? He said it's fine so drop it!"

"But it's not fine, Videl." Cocoa said evenly but formed a firm tone in her voice to remain strong, taking Videl by surprise. "You manipulated him through his mother because you knew that his mother would make him go to a tournament if there's money involved. You completely disregard feelings and force him to do something he dislikes against his wishes."

'Her demeanor completely shifted!' Videl noticed mentally.

"Look, Cocoa, I get it. I may have gone a little far, but he needs to come to the tournament. There wouldn't be a point to go if he wasn't going to be there!" Videl argued back, still maintaining her indoor voice.

"Why? What makes Gohan-kun's inclusion so important that you'd have to resort to extorting your friend through his mother?" Cocoa challenged.

"Because Gohan-kun doesn't take me seriously, okay!?" Videl confessed. "He's been training me in a different manner for months and he treats me like I'm too delicate! It's like he's been mothering me lately and I'm sick of it! I get it, he doesn't like martial arts. Shit happened to him that I cannot repeat out of respect for him and his family. But if there's one thing that I hate outside of being lied to, it's being treated like a baby. And somewhere down the line, he's been coddling me and it's getting on my fucking nerves! I get enough of that at home as it is!"

Cocoa's face softened, saying, "Oh Videl… I didn't know that."

Sighing, Videl said, "No, no. You're alright, Cocoa. I'm sorry that I blew up at you like that. I'm just frustrated is all."

"And I'm sorry that I was pressed about your business." Cocoa apologized. "I shouldn't have gone too far."

"You're cool with me, girl."

"Okay. Hey, why haven't you talked about this to Gohan-kun if you're feeling like this? I'm sure he'd understand." Cocoa questioned.

Rolling her eyes, Videl said, "I don't talk about my feelings. Express them through fighting. And he gets that. When I'm on the offensive, I make it explicitly clear to fight back, no holding back. Now, obviously, I'm not telling him to kill me because Gohan is much more experienced and is stronger than me. But all he does is evade and dodge. Very rarely does he ever touch me in a spar! So, that's why I took the chance when I heard of a tournament."

"You felt like being in a tournament setting was the only way he could take you seriously as an opponent." Cocoa realized.

"Exactly!" Videl confirmed. "Now you're catching on!"

"Videl, just because I understand your thought process doesn't mean that I agree with it." Cocoa said, causing Videl's face to fall. "In fact, your way of dealing with your issues is unhealthy and I think you need to seek help. What you did was still wrong and it's down right abusive. Talking out your problems would have saved him the grief of going through an entire tournament that he never wanted to be a part of because of your selfishness."

Videl sighed, feeling her heart sink deep into the guilt that had been ignored up until now. Putting her head on the table.

"Ugh! I get it!" Videl muffled on the table. "I was a colossal bitch and I feel like absolute shit! No need to rub it in, okay?"

"Now, now, that's the pride talking." Cocoa said, patting Videl's back. "Now, do you know what you have to do?"

Videl mirthlessly droned, "Wallow in self-pity, wondering if my friend will ever look at me the same way again?"

"Apologies to him, silly." Cocoa answered giggling.

"You make it sound so easy…" Videl pouted, puffing her cheeks up while blushing.

"It shouldn't be. But I'm sure that the mighty Videl Satan is strong enough to swallow her pride and show a little of that sweet humility." Cocoa said as she got up from her seat. "That is unless you're too scared to face responsibility."

Videl's head quickly shot up as she growled, "I'm not afraid of jack shit!"

Cocoa clapped her hands together, saying, "Excellent! I hope to hear the two of you patching things up as soon as possible! Bye!"

The girl walked away, leaving Videl emotionally troubled but full of resolve to fix her mistake.

Sacred Realm of the Kai, Universe 7, Age 774

Kibito and Gohan were sparring with each other, with Shin watching as the judge. So far, they have been going at their spar for about three hours since Gohan came back from school, and he needed to blow off steam from his mild irritation. Now, they were reaching the climax of their confrontation

During this time, Gohan stood in his Super Saiyan Level Two form, having been practicing to maintain and master the transformation to its fullest without exerting so much power. Kibito, on the other hand, activated the Kaiōken Technique and multiplied it by x10 to nearly match Gohan's Battle Power.

On the ground, Gohan decided to shoot three basic ki blasts that were aimed at the attendant Kai, which the blasts enlarged. Kibito allowed them to get near him before forming a blade made of ki with his right hand and slicing all three of them in half with expertise belittled of a swordsman. Gohan rushed to land a solid right hook. Kibito, being more experienced, timed Gohan's movements and used Rapid Movement to dodge the blow and land a counterattack via an elbow to the back of Gohan's head.

The hybrid was sent back, only to recover and face his opponent.

"Sloppy," Kibito stated, not amused at the slightest. "You can do a lot better than that, mortal."

Nodding, Gohan focused and used Instant Transmission to gain the speed advantage. Normally, Kibito would find the technique predictable and nonthreatening since Kai-Kai was a better technique than he was used to. But then, Gohan paired this technique with Spirit Control's Cloning Technique as four other Gohan clones in base form appeared using the same warping tactic. This took Kibito off guard.

The four clones blitzed the attendant Kai, forcing him to play defense. Meanwhile, the real Gohan placed his index and middle fingers together on his forehead, as if he was about to perform the Instant Transmission Technique and began to charge his ki to the tip of his fingers.

Kibito, having enough of the clones' shenanigans, dispelled three of the clones before setting his sights on the next one. Sensing Gohan's rising power, Kibito predicted Gohan's next attack and used his own clone as a meat shield the moment he warped in front of Kibito.

Kibito got out of the way the moment Gohan shouted, "MAKANKOSAPPŌ!"

The next thing anybody knew, Gohan fired a condensed yellow drilling light beam of death with a violet accent, taking out his own clone which its power returned to along with leaving a hole in a random rock formation.

Gohan took notice of this error but was met with a hard jab to the gut by Kibito, causing him to wheeze in pain. The boy took a knee, coughing up blood.

"Do you yield, young Saiyan?" Kibito questioned evenly, deactivating the Kaiōken multiplier.

Gohan nodded quickly as he dropped into his base form, saying, "Yeah, I'm good."

Kibito turned away from Gohan and walked off to meditate elsewhere. Shin walked over to the fatigued Gohan, inspecting him while the hybrid used the Healing technique to recover himself.

"You were unfocused today."

Gohan looked up and smiled, asking, "Was it that obvious?"

Shin offered his right hand, which Gohanntook as he got up from his knee.

"What troubles you, Son Gohan?"

Gohan then said, "Well…you can say that I'm having girl troubles."

Tilting his head, the knowing Kaiōshin questioned, "Are you referring to the young mortal girl that you're training? Videl Satan was her name, correct?"

"Yes, that's her," Gohan answered. "You see, there's a tournament that's coming up in a few weeks and she's forcing me to participate."

"And you don't find combat as a competitive sport to be an event that appeals to you." Shin assumed.

Gohan nodded in confirmation.

"I don't really care for that sort of thing. But it means everything to Videl. So, she resorted to getting my mother involved and now I have to go." The hybrid sighed. "That's what's got me all frustrated and distracted."

I see… Are you upset at Videl by any chance?" Shin questioned.

Surprisingly, Gohan shook his head negatively.

"Not exactly. While what she did was not a pleasant thing, I'm more upset at the fact that no matter what happens, I'm always dragged into a situation that I dislike without my consent. All I want is to decide what I want to do with my life. Is that too much to ask for? A choice?"

Gohan sighed as he shook his head.

"What do you want to do with your life, Son Gohan?" Shin asked.

Gohan scratched his head, still unsure about the question that had been ringing in his mind for a long while now.

"...T-That's still a work in progress if I'm being honest," Gohan admitted sheepishly. "I guess that I'm so used to being pushed to do stuff that I never explored any options. My mother shoved academics into my head while my father spent his time with my training for the most part."

Sitting on the grass, Shin advised, "Why not take after both of them?"

Sitting next to Shin, Gohan inquired, "Come again?"

"While you take after both of your parents, I can see where your mother is coming from, for you have a curious nature. You hunger for knowledge and understanding as a Saiyan would strive to get stronger. Why not become a teacher that studies the aspects and the importance of martial arts?" Shin advised.

Studying? In the field of martial arts? Was that possible? It sounds interesting enough to the hybrid. He wouldn't necessarily need to jump into a fight as if he would open up a dojo. Gohan was already learning his method of teaching with Videl under his tutelage. Not to mention, he had tutored Barry Khan beforehand and his grades were excellent. Maybe…

He'd have to consider it later.

"...That's not a bad idea," Gohan admitted. "But this tournament is not going to be something that I'll enjoy. I'm not even getting anything out of it outside of the prize money that my mother's taking."

"Have you ever considered that you could benefit from this experience?" Shin challenged, causing Gohan to turn to him, shocked.

"What?"

Shin elaborated, "You're not above the human mortals just because you can shatter the planet. You're just as much a student as you are a teacher. Take me as an example. I, a Sōzōshin, learned techniques foreign to me from mortals, only for me to teach you. And I'm the Supreme Kai."

Gohan grew silent from his teacher's words, now feeling guilty for his arrogance.

"Life brings us new lessons every day. And I believe that joining the tournament could open your eyes to something that I can not teach you alone. You may even learn something from your peers."

Gohan muttered, "That's assuming if there's going to be other ki users like Videl-san, Sharpner-san, and I."

The Supreme Kai only smirked, which tipped Gohan's curious mind off.

'Wait a second! I know that smirk! He knows something that I don't, doesn't he? …Maybe there's more to this tournament than I thought. Well, there's only one way to find out.'

Shin then said, "Another reason why I wish for you to join this tournament. It's the perfect opportunity for you to test how far your Spirit Control has come along."

"That's great and all, but I don't see a situation where I'd need to use Instant Transmission against anybody there, let alone Forced Spirit Fission. What's that got to do with my training?"

Shin closed his eyes, then asked, "I'll answer that in the form of a story. Would you like to hear it?"

"Uh, sure. I'm listening."

"Good. Now, pay attention." Shin advised as he began the tale. "Long ago, on a distant planet from the Northern Galaxy, two tribes of ancient warrior Saiyans. One, who lived by their instincts while commanded under a ruthless leader, and the other, while with a smaller population, chose to thrive through peace and tranquility while following the teachings of their deity."

A wave of familiarity washed over Gohan as visions of his old dreams appeared in his mind.

"Eventually, the malicious tribe began assaulting the peaceful tribe to seize control of their territory. The war lasted decades, which eventually left only a handful of the peaceful Saiyans left. Six of them, who were young warriors, grew up during the civil war. Two of them being the focus of the story."

"Who are these two Saiyans, Lord Shin?"

"They were a pair of two brothers. Yamoshi was the younger brother and the youngest out of the group of six. He was optimistic, compassionate, and was steadfast in the belief in his people's patron deity."

"And the older brother?" Questioned Gohan.

"Kumotsu was the older brother and the oldest of the six. While he shared his brother's noble heart, Kumotsu was quiet, headstrong, wild, and alert to any sort of danger. He was known for his temper and a deeper connection to his Saiyan ancestry."

Gohan shook his head up and down, listening to Shin's tale.

Shin continued, "Tired of seeing their loved ones suffer at the hands of the wicked tribe, Kumotsu, Yamoshi, and four other young Saiyans took it upon themselves to war with the opposing tribe and put an end to their evil ways permanently. However, Yamoshi felt the need to study the ancient ways of the Saiyan God in order to properly prepare. The others followed suit, all except one."

"Saiyan God? What is that?" Gohan asked. "Don't you mean Super Saiyan?"

Shin shook his head negatively as he answered, "No. Back in ancient times, the Super Saiyan transformation was merely a technique that was common to the species until the knowledge was lost. The Saiyan God was an old power exclusive to the tribe of pure-hearted Saiyans who chose a different path to follow. Those selected by the spirit of the Saiyan God were granted their divine power."

"Oh," Gohan muttered before remembering the previous conversation. "I'm guessing that Kumotsu didn't go this path?"

"That's correct, Son Gohan," Shin smirked. "While he kept similar principles to the Saiyan God's teachings, his distinctly different energy and temperament kept Kumotsu from truly receiving the fullest extent of the teachings of the Saiyan God. But the oldest of the warriors ended up forging his own path by relying on his Saiyan roots. And Yamoshi helped him every step of his journey."

"What happened after that?"

"The six Saiyans declared war on the wicked tribe," Shin answered grimly. "A war that encompassed nearly the entire planet."

"No way!" Gasped the hybrid.

"Yes. It was far more brutal than you can possibly imagine. And the wicked Saiyans would have nearly claimed victory early, had it not been for the ritual."

"A ritual?" Gohan parroted.

"Yes. During his training, Yamoshi learned how to call upon the power of his people's patron deity. Through the light of five other Super Saiyans, the chosen sixth Super Saiyan would bear the power of the Saiyan God's spirit, infusing it with them to become the next successor. When the others heard of this, they all agreed for Yamoshi to become the next chosen Saiyan God of their people. So when the time came, Yamoshi stepped up and underwent the Saiyan God ritual."

"T-That's incredible! I never knew that there were good Saiyans! Let alone those who gain power that could rival gods! This is–" Gohan gushed before another memory of his vision appeared.

It was the memory of the red-haired Saiyan falling after losing its red color.

"...Wait," Gohan said in a somber tone. "What happened to Yamoshi after that?"

Sighing, Shin said, "While Yamoshi's new divine power definitely brought the turn of the tides, it didn't last very long as he didn't truly have a grasp at said power. And that cost him his life."

"...Oh no."

"However, what the evil Saiyans did not expect was Kumotsu's reaction," Shin said, causing Gohan's face to perk up in curiosity.

"What did Kumotsu do?" The young man questioned.

"At the same night the Yamoshi's Denise, while his comrades were being killed left and right, Kumotsu gazed upon the moon and morphed into his Oozaru form. But, as his rage continued to generate so much power, it turned his fur gold and forced his hair to grow towards his back."

"The Golden Oozaru."

"Yes. No longer a man, the beast within had complete control over Kumotsu. The sheer amount of overwhelming power demonstrated as Kumotsu rampaged all over the planet was so terrifying and threatening that the warlord of the evil tribe, Cumber, rounded up the remaining Saiyans and worked together to bring down Kumotsu for good. With the unique transformation of the Saiyan God witnessed by all and the terrifying power of the Golden Oozaru burnt in their minds, the evil Saiyans passed down their experiences until–"

"–The legend of the Super Saiyan was born." Gohan finished. "Yeah, now it all makes sense."

"Indeed." Shin agreed. "And you, Son Gohan, are following the path of Kumotsu. Our goal is for you to master self-control, and I believe the tournament should be a great place to serve as your testing ground. Wouldn't you agree?"

Thinking about the importance of his training, Gohan nodded again with a more determined and confident expression.

"If it's necessary for my training, then I'm willing to try, Lord Shin."

A bright smile formed on Shin's face as he said, "Good."

Sweet Delights, Hercule City, Age 774

Videl was sitting down, holding two cones of chocolate ice cream. While normally, Videl composed herself as a proud, headstrong, and outspoken young lady. But right now, her heartbeat was moving one thousand beats per minute. Beads of sweat were running down her head and neck, and for some reason, her left leg couldn't stop bouncing nervously.

'Damn it, I'm a freaking mess! I'm sweaty, shaking all over, and my leg won't stop moving! Why! Ugh!' Videl groaned to herself mentally. 'Why the hell am I so nervous? For Dende's sake, it's only Gohan-kun! Speaking of which, where the hell is he!?'

Before Videl could blow a gasket out of sheer anxiety, she saw a familiar golden cloud from the distance appear in the sky as it carried our hero all the way to Videl's location. When he was close enough, The son of Goku hopped off the Flying Nimbus Cloud and landed in front of the daughter of Hercule.

When face to face with each other, both of them stared into one another in the eyes, never breaking contact.

"...H-Hey." Gohan waved awkwardly.

Videl responded, "H-Hi."

Gohan after three seconds of idly standing stiffly walked next to her and sat down on the empty spot next to her. The two looked away from each other, trying to gather the courage to break the ice. Fortunately, Videl took the first when she remembered about the second ice cream and offered it to Gohan.

"Here, t-take it," Videl said, not taking no for an answer while still sounding vulnerable.

Gohan blinked at this, but took the second cone of ice cream and thanked her silently.

The pair started to enjoy their sweets, which allowed them to calm themselves to the point where the teens could speak to each other less awkwardly.

"Gohan-kun/Videl-san—" Both spoke at the same time before stopping as they stumbled in their sentence.

Both apologized simultaneously, then Gohan said, "You go first."

"R-Right," Videl agreed. "About earlier this week, I'm sorry for making you go to this tournament. It was pretty shitty of me to use your mom against you like that. And I know how much you hate fighting when there's no reason to."

Looking down on her lap, Videl admitted in shame, "I guess my drive to face you in a real fight got the best of me and I took advantage of your financial situation by using the prize money as an excuse. But now I see that was low, even for me. Heh, maybe I took after my dad more than I realize."

Finishing his ice cream, Gohan asked, "You did all of that because you wanted to fight me?"

"It's not about the fight, Wonderboy. When we train, you act as if I'm delicate or dainty. You don't even treat Goten or Trunks that way! And while I get that you can literally tear me to pieces if you wanted to because of your alien strength, I'm much stronger now that I know how to use ki. I figured that if you weren't going to take me seriously in a spar, then maybe a competitive environment could make you take me seriously." Videl explained.

Gohan mentally facepalmed, cursing himself for his constant state of worrying.

'Crap! That's why she was acting irrationally! I've been treating her like she's a set of fine china! Ugh! I'm turning into my mother!'

Gohan scratched his head, embarrassed at his actions.

"Oh! Hehehe… This is awkward. All this time I've been trying to avoid ending up like either of my parents and I end up becoming like my mom." Gohan chuckled, getting a giggle out of his student.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from a mommy's boy." Videl snorted.

"I still resent that," Gohan playfully glared. "And look, I wasn't necessarily mad at the fact that you were forcing me to go to the tournament. It was that you cast aside my feelings about fighting as a whole. I don't mind sparring from time to time or training. But I'd like to make my own decisions and fight on my terms. That's within my rights as a living breathing person."

Videl bowed her head a little, saying, "I'm sorry…"

Shaming his head, Gohan said, "Don't beat yourself up so badly about it. I forgive you. No harm done. And I'm sorry for not respecting you as a fighter. I'll be sure to keep that in mind from now on if you can learn to respect my boundaries. I'll even help you learn how to improve your durability using ki so that you can at least take hits from my raw strength. Does that sound fair?"

Videl nodded with a small smile forking on her face.

"Yeah, I'd like that." The girl responded. "Are you still planning to fight in the tournament?

Gohan nodded as he extended his hand, saying, "Friends?"

Looking at Gohan's hand, she took it with her own, gently grasping it with affection.

"Friends." The girl accepted with a happier tone.

Laboratory, Yanagi Estate, Age 774

Sitting on his computer chair was Dr. Wheelo, more commonly known as Dr. James Yanagi by the public. Dr. Wheelo had finished another training session with his Brutal Warrior Specimen for the day, then entered the medical room to recover and cleanse himself. After that, the scientist went to the main computer room to monitor his enemies and pawns.

The new Saiyan hybrid kept a stoic apathetic stare at the computer screen while it displayed multiple cameras that viewed different events in different settings thanks to his surveillance drones. For instance, he saw how Hercule was dancing in the excitement in his living room since he was a part of a project that X.S. Cash offered him. He could also see Gohan and Videl by Sweet Delights getting on the Flying Nimbus Cloud and flying away elsewhere. Another screen showed Cocoa sitting in her pink room on her luxurious bed, devoid of all emotion. Meanwhile, Barry Khan was downtown driving in a car full of fan girls.

The scientist shook his head at his son, saying, "I swear, I designed that boy to be too perfect."

Looking towards the right, Dr. Wheelo found an old family photo that had a snapshot of an older male scientist with shaggy neck length, silvery gray hair, gray eyes, a well-groomed mustache, and a beard while wearing a monocle. Next to him was a youthful pale-skinned woman with yellow eyes and beautiful auburn-colored hair wearing a red sundress. The woman was shown carrying a baby wrapped in a nice baby blue blanket.

"Soon, mother, father. The time is nearly upon us. As soon as I pull off the blindfold from these sheep, I'll see to it that Father's dream for a better tomorrow will become reality. But first, I must set fire to the old world and condemn the false messiah and those who wrong us and will stand in our way to that tomorrow." Dr. Wheelo whispered as a single tear fell from his face. "I promise, I will set things right for our legacy, and the world."

To Be Continued…

As time moves forward, our heroes now prepare themselves to enter the new tournament. But will they be prepared for what's about to transpire? And what exactly is Wheelo planning for the world? All will be revealed as the saga continues next Dragon Ball Z: PRIMAL.

Author's Note: I'm back yet again! Yay!

Okay, let's address some stuff real quick.

One, Videl is not supposed to be sympathetic, as she is not perfect. She can be too assertive, uptight, and downright manipulative when she wants to be. Her argument about Gohan being too soft on her has merit given that he can be arrogant even if he doesn't try to be. However, she is in the wrong because she put her desires above his boundaries. Why Gohan hasn't flipped out on Videl like how he did with his mother is because he likes her and Gohan knows that Videl is not like her father.

Dr. Frappé is canon in this universe. Don't ask me why, it works for the narrative since PRIMAL has aspects of both the anime and the manga.

Kumotsu is one of the very few OCs in PRIMAL, but he's based on the Golden Great Ape that Vegeta spoke of in the anime which he mistook as the legendary Super Saiyan. He's the older brother of Yamoshi, the last Saiyan God chosen by its predecessor's spirit in the last ritual.

Also, Cumber was the Saiyan general/warlord that taught the majority of the ancient Saiyans evil and became the leader of the evil tribe.

As to how Shin knows all of this, he used his Time Ring to go back in time to see the events that led to the death of the six righteous Saiyan warriors. Of course, he had clearance from a certain Supreme Kai of Time to do so without repercussions to the future.

PS: Dr. Wheelo made a device that could lower his Battle Power to that of an average human to mask his true power. And as to how strong Wheelo is, he's close to 1,000,000. That's why people like Piccolo and Dende couldn't detect him yet.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think about this chapter. What are your likes, and dislikes, what needs to be improved, what's going great about the saga so far, what are your favorite moments, and what are you guys looking forward to?

I'm calling it a day, and I'll see you guys later!
