Chapter 32 - The Coolest Dorm Room Contest Part 2

3rd Floor - Height's Alliance: (UA High School)

The first room on the 3rd floor that the girls stopped off on was Ojiro's room which they bashed for being too plain. Next they stopped off at Ida's room which was filled with bookshelves, and shelves for spare glasses.

"Kota you okay," asked Midoriya trailing after the group.

"Yeah, just didn't like them barging into my stuff."

"Hey Kaminari's room is looks like one of those fun and game stores!"

"Really?" Kota squeezed his way past and noticed a pc game currently up on his screen that shouldn't even be out yet, "How the hell did you get that?"

"I signed up to be a closed beta tester months ago, before the announcement that there would be a summer camp, looks like the download completed," said Kaminari from the doorway wheeling Mineta, "I'd kinda forgotten about it, looks like I'll have to do some juggling to have time to take this commitment seriously."

"Kota, what rating is it?" asked Midoriya.

"Teen why?"

"No, not unless Mandalay tells me its okay for you to play..."

"But..."

"Look, I don't know what's in the game and neither do you..."

Meanwhile, The girls took off to look at Koda's room and going ga ga over his pet rabbit. Mineta noticed the rest of his male classmates were getting bummed out about having their rooms gone through.

"You know it's only fair that we get to see their rooms too, this is supposed to be a competition right?" said Mineta, 'Truthfully, I really don't like it when people go through my stuff without permission. Man, I must really be tired, cause I'm getting cranky, maybe a little pervie too.'

"I think that's a great idea, we're going for who's the best interior decorator after all," exclaimed Ashido as she clapped her hands together as they went up to the 4th floor.

'Huh what? She's agreeing?!' thought Mineta.

'Is this really okay?' thought Midoriya.

"Doesn't this floor have Kirishima, Bakugo, Shoji, and Shinso.

"Where is Bakugo anyways?"

"He said this entire thing was stupid and went to bed. I'm getting tired too so can we hurry this up?"

"Okay let's do you room next."

After Kirishima's den of manliness and Shoji's minimalist room and passing over Bakugo's room the girls managed to force aside Shinso to barge into his room. "THERE'S A MOTORCYCLE IN HERE?!"

"It's a motorbike, I've done Motocross ever since I was nine years old. I actually was in a race just before summer camp," said Shinso, "It is one of those sports where quirks generally can't affect anything."

"Wait you also do archery?!" said Mineta looking at another wall with a compound longbow mounted on a wall.

"Yes, I'm a rather good shot, why?"

"If you're a good shot, why are you trying to use the capture scarf?" asked Midoriya before Mineta could follow-up, "You could use trick arrows that contain capture nets and other items."

"He's right," said Ashido, "You would have a much longer range of attack."

"The potential for inflicting lethal damage I guess," said Shinso, "Mr. Aizawa kinda didn't like the idea, though maybe if with different arrowheads I could circumvent that."

"You have quite a lot of trophies," commented Kirishima about the trophies for both biking and archery on one shelf, "I didn't expect that about you, since you tend to be awfully quiet, "Why didn't you use this stuff during the entrance exam?"

"He wouldn't have been allowed," commented Ojiro, "I know how to fight with nunchaku and a 3 piece staff, but I wasn't allowed to use those."

"I think I can come up with an entirely new design for a suit," said Mineta from his wheelchair, "I would suggest having a capture scarf as a backup weapon and go with a bow and arrows, have the bow also work as a quarterstaff.

"I'll have to think about it."

They breezed through the other rooms and then the girls' rooms with the exception of Asui's whom apparently wasn't feeling well. Of course Sato managed to win the competition due to the cake, so all the girls voted for him. As Mineta started to wheel himself to the elevator he thought he caught a glimpse of Asui going past, but he wasn't sure, 'I'm fairly tired...'

"Hold on! Kaminari, Kirishima, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Ida, can you meet me out front?" said Uraraka.

'I wonder what's that's about?' thought Mineta whose wheelchair was suddenly grabbed from behind by Jiro, "What? Jiro what's?"

"Sorry, but I need you to make a slight detour, Kota, Midoriya, flying dog if you could come with me?"

"My name is K-9, mistress."

Kitchen: Height's Alliance

As they entered the kitchen Midoriya immediately noticed that Hagakure was there.

"Uh, Hagakure what's going on?"

"Midoriya, Mineta, and Kota there is something that Hagakure needs to talk to the three of you about," said Jiro, "I imagine Asui is talking to the 'Bakugo rescue squad' out front, so this was the next best place. You three may want to sit down."

"I wanted to... I need to apologize for everything..." began Hagakure.

"Look you really don't," began Mineta, "I was kinda a jerk to you too and..."

"No, you don't understand Mineta," interrupted Hagakure, "That thing while it was inside me, it was still my body, it used me to spy on you and Midoriya back when you were at that meeting with Hawks and Mr. Fuzzball."

"So Izzy wasn't imagining things," said Mineta, "He sensed it and by default you were there."

"Yeah, it kept pushing to want to incriminate you, though the person it contacted said not to, that your loyalties were too well known, and it... I really wanted to hurt you, I didn't think you deserved to be in the hero course because you're a..."

"Pervert," said Mineta simply.

"Yes, but I've seen you put those bad behaviors to the side, in fact they've surfaced far less often than the beginning of the semester. Also you rather routinely put those thoughts to the side out of concern for Midoriya, it was one of the reasons it had orders to kill you that night. Also when it used me to spy on you guys at the hot springs, and it saw Midoriya talking with Kota... Well they decided to abduct Kota just to get at Midoriya, anything they did to Kota..."

Kota started shaking his face turning red with shame, anger, and emotions he didn't quite understand, before he could decide on how he could respond Midoriya beat him to it. "Hagakure, I heard about how Kaminari got that thing out of your body, and the damage to you, how's your hearing?"

"You're right, I'm now partially deaf in my left ear, I'm going to be fitted with a hearing aid soon," she answered.

"THAT'S IT? You're forgiving?!"

"Kota!"

"No, don't Kota, me. Do you have any idea what they fucking did to me?"

"No swearing," snapped Jiro, "How do you even know that word anyways?"

"Kota, it wasn't her," said Midoriya quietly, "and you of all people..."

"Sorry big brother," replied Kota, 'He does know, but how can he?'

"If that thing were in front of me right now, I'd tear it apart and damn the consequences, the hell Kota was put through," said Midoriya evenly, "But, Hagakure was a victim here too, and as much as I emotionally want to blame her, it isn't rational to blame her, because she was being controlled like a remote control car."

"I get it now," said Kota, "J-just, I..."

"Nobody's blaming you for your reaction to her," said Mineta, "Hagakure, I'd suggest you try to steer clear of him for a while though."

"I understand, that Shigaraki was convinced you are 'All Might's secret love child,' and that's probably why..."

"Again..." Midoriya rolled his eyes, "I don't even have the right blood type."

"It honestly, wouldn't surprise me if you were related though," muttered Jiro.

'You know that would be a good cover story if 'One for All' got leaked to the public, the idea of All Might only being able to transfer it to Izzy cause they are distant cousins, it would be like a familial inheritance, and far less of a disruption to society. Though Ochaco would have to beat off the competition with a crowbar,' thought Mineta as he made a mental not to try to talk with Mr. Aizawa to see if that would be a good idea, 'I think too many people know and it's going to come out, at least this way the public would just start being on the lookout for other quirks that can be passed on to other family members, and that a quirkless kid would be the safest recipient.' It may be lying, but a far as Mineta was concerned, if it kept Izzy safe, he really didn't care.

Notes:

This isn't a super long chapter, but I kinda wanted to get through the dorm rooms in no more than two chapters. I didn't think Asui would show off her room, nor would Bakugo. So the rest of the rooms looked like they did per canon and decided to leave it at that.

I decided to give Shinso a split interest of Motocross and Archery (yes he actually has his Motocross bike, helmet, and pads in his room). He also is good at archery (with either hand), as to whether or not he will incorporate that into his costume, we'll have to see.
