Shoto woke up early, and was able to tell those on his floor were still asleep. Nobody was moving around. His windows had screens over them. They were black. Like dark car windows. So he could see outside, but the sun couldn't get inside and fry him again. He went to the bathroom and took out the already opened bottle of sunscreen, and applied it to the places it was needed.

He put extra on his face and hands, and got dressed. He brought his coffee beans and supplies he'd kept from his time at the coffee shop, and started to make his favorite. Ths smell was strong, and when Mineta came out, he asked, "Whose making the coffee?!" and ran over. "Oh, it's you."

It was very clear by now that Mineta was openly homophobic. But for someone who exclusively liked women, he sure treated them poorly. "It's me," Shoto agreed.

"Midoriya is on my floor, don't go making all this noise at night," Mineta said. "I want a cup."

"No. This is only for me and Izuku. Make your own with your own supplies," Shoto replied. He put his ingredients back into the little bag, and brought them to his room after knocking on Izuku's door, able to hear him awake. "It's me."

The door was unlocked, and Shoto handed him his coffee. "I made it as close to your favorite as possible. When you'd come to the shop. I remembered," he said kind of shyly.

"Really? That's sweet. Even though you hated me, then?"

"Yeah," Shoto replied simply. Izuku took the coffee and took a sip. "Good?"

"Perfect. You gonna drink yours, or fix it up?"

"Fix it up. I'll be back in a few minutes," he said. Izuku nodded, and left. Shoto went up to his room, spreading the smell of coffee down two halls before he entered his own room, closed the door, and used the measuring cup he had in his bag to put just the right amount of blood inside. He washed out the dish in the sink, and then went downstairs with his coffee.

There were already some downstairs, and they looked up brightly when Shoto walked in. "Pleeeeaassse make us coffee, too!" Hagakure begged. They were all in their sleep clothes, which were shorts and tank tops mostly.

"No, the ingredients are expensive," shoto said, and took a sip of his, still hot. Izuku came down, and had his own coffee. The girls pouted about getting none themselves.

Mineta glowered at them, and Izuku made him and Shoto some bowls of cereal. They sat beside one another at one of the tables. "If we bought the supplies, could you make us some?" Ashido asked. "Or you can teach us how to make it, too!"

Shoto said, "Sure. I'll teach you if you get your own ingredients." There was no problem in helping them out, he just wasn't going to waste his own stuff on eighteen other students. Bakugo walked in with his arm around his boyfriend's shoulder, and glanced at Shoto's cup of coffee but said nothing.

"Can I try your coffee?" Sero asked. "The room smells great!"

"No," Shoto said firmly.

"Kind of rude," Mineta mumbled.

"You wouldn't like my coffee. You'd like Izuku's more," he said. "I'm territorial about my food."

Kaminari said, "You know, we may all be living together, but we should learn more. About boundaries. This is kind of now 'home' for each of us. We only knew each other from school, but now we're all in the same place. We should find out things like that so we don't annoy anyone."

It was a good idea, and everyone agreed. There were dozens of types of cereals and microwavable or toasted frozen foods that everyone ate at the table. Shoto and Izuku finished their coffees, and Shoto went to wash his out in the sink and clean rigorously. Then he put it in the dishwashing rack.

The class went around and confessed things about themselves about how they did things at home. "I snore loudly," Shoji said.

"Yeah, we know by now, buddy," Kaminari laughed.

"Sorry," the largest of them said.

"I sometimes have night terrors. If you hear me screaming, don't worry," Jiro admitted. "Don't worry, I've had them since I was a baby. It's not from any trauma or something dramatic like that. So, sorry if I wake you up, really."

They were surprised to hear this, but didn't make a big scene about it. This was a good idea. "I sleep walk," Sato admitted. "If I'm passed out somewhere weird, I sleep walked there."

"I always get up at 1:30, make hot chocolate, and then go back to sleep," Yaoyorozu said. "It's a ritual, I've done it for years. So if it's 1:30 and you hear fiddling downstairs, I'm just making my drink. I think I'll ask for an electric kettle in my room. Usually someone else makes it for me." Well, she was rich, so it wasn't a surprise. Though even when Shoto lived in Endeavor's home, mom always did the cooking.

They each went around, and some people had nothing to say or weren't sure, while they learned more interesting things about one another. Of course Shoto could not give nearly enough away for his liking. But he did ask that they close the curtains at night in the common room. "I will usually put the sunscreen on in my room, but sometimes I'm real tired and just go downstairs first."

"Oh yeah, we should totally be careful about that xp thing!" Kirishima said. Bakugo made no face, even though he knew the real reason the sun burned him. The others agreed, and they finished breakfast. It was exhausting. After they cleaned up, all went to their dorm rooms to get dressed. Shoto texted Aizawa, asking if the main campus were still housing blood bottles. He didn't expect them not to be, so when it was confirmed, he wasn't surprised.

He walked to Izuku's room, and knocked. The door was opened to show a half dressed Izuku, putting his pants on. He caught Shoto staring at his arm. The bad scarring. "I'm glad… you didn't get hurt for me. I would feel guilty," he admitted.

"It's okay. I'll be careful from now on. Ah, I still have things to tell you. I'll tell you tonight. And I want to, I don't feel obligated to," Izuku said firmly. Shoto smiled and nodded. "The coffee was great. Are you gonna do that every morning?"

"Do you want me to?" Shoto asked, fiddling with a lego All Might figure on Izuku's desk.

"If you want to. Though you may start a war with Mineta."

"I don't care. I don't care about his feelings or anything," Shoto said honestly. "He's rude and homophobic. At least Uraraka was a quiet homophobe," he added. He made a little ice sculpture to match the lego figure. He was happy with how in control he was of his ice. But he didn't know what there was to improve.

Izuku was dressed and got his backpack, Shoto's being on the floor, and they got ready to go. The shorter gave a quick kiss to his cheek, and took his hand. They headed to school, a five minute walk away. The class didn't all walk together, which was nice.

"Stop watching if it bothers you," Ashido told Mineta, who'd just watched Bakugo grab Kirishima's ass in passing in the dorm.

"It's gross, they're doing it in front of everyone," Mineta snapped back. Nobody else had a problem, and Kaminari teased them about it. Bakugo and Kirishima didn't care, the latter usually laughing it off. Now that they lived in the same space, they were both taking advantage of that. Very physical indeed.

Though this was technically their home, so should they be able to do that with no shame? It wasn't like they were fucking on the couch around everyone else, after all. Shoto ignored them as he taught some of the class how to make good coffee after ordering everything they needed in bulk. They could do that, and the food was bought for them, not a dime from their own wallets.

Everyone were learning to cook food, as they were obligated to cook in a cycle rotation. Momo and Sero were awful, and ended up requiring everyone to have pb&j for dinner. Shoto had eaten her food, though, to be nice. She was already embarrassed about the fact she didn't know how to live not rich and privileged. Though this place wasn't poor by any means.

She learned how to do laundry, cook and clean. Shoto liked teaching her things. She was positive and eager to learn. Overly interested in how the washing machine worked. Shoto had done chores for a long time by then, so such things came easily to him.

Jiro mixed her latte up, Shoto reminding her how to stir it properly. "Done! Finally, time to test," she said, and looked seriously at her cup before sipping it. "I did it!" She mastered the latte. "Who needs a Starbucks when you've got a Todoroki!"

"Or Youtube. You could have learned how to make good coffee from Youtube," Sato said.

"Did you learn to bake from Youtube?" Jiro asked defensively.

"Yeah," Sato replied honestly. "Youtube taught me a lot. Not those stupid content-farm cooking ones. Can you belive they make it seem like you can ice cream into cake frosting?" He then went on a rant about popular, useless cooking channels kicking off actual content creators who bake and cooked for a living. It was amusing.

"I saw one of those! Oh, I also saw a debunking one where all these hacks could be hella dangerous," Sero added.

Shoto started to clean up the supplies and put them back in the right cupboards. He'd noticed something about Bakugo. And it was annoying. He would watch Shoto do normal things, as if judging him. While it could be much worse, it was still annoying, and Shoto couldn't tell what his intentions were, or how they were supposed to come across.

Mineta took a peek at Shoto's closed coffee cup, and Izuku took it from him. It was suspicious, but better than having them find out there was blood in his coffee. Mineta was growing suspicious of him, it was kind of clear. Shoto was just glad they weren't on the same floor. But was annoyed that Izuku's room was next to his.

So, because of that, Izuku was coming up to Shoto's room, which was fine for both of them. It wasn't like Izuku's bed was more comfortable or anything. "Why do you hide it! What's so special about his coffee!"

"It has medicine in it," Shoto said. "The medicine I take tastes awful so I try to dilute it with something else. Ask Iida, he can tell you I drink gatorade with medicine in it."

"I can attest to that," Iida offered. Shoto was thankful for that.

"What kind of medicine?" Mineta asked.

"Medicine to cure stupidity so he isn't like you! Just shut up and stop whining already!" Bakugo snapped, tired of Mineta's whining. Shoto took his drink back and chugged it, not wanting anyone being around it anymore. He washed it out in the sink, face sad and empty. He missed privacy. Or at least, a place where everyone knew and everyone accepted. He missed his family, both biological and foster. He missed Touya being obnoxious, Fuyumi being protective. Rei knitting in peace while the others talked to one another.

He missed Misa and how kind she was, how she'd be the one to go out and pick up the coffee beans. He just missed his old way of living. If he hadn't been kidnapped from home, maybe everyone wouldn't be in this situation. Though many of them seemed to like it, Shoto did not.

Izuku came up from behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist. Shoto was three inches taller than him, so it wasn't too much, but he was taller. "Wanna go to class?" He nodded. Going upstairs to get dressed, many were doing the same and got into the elevator. Shoto saw Bakugo put his arm around Kirishima's arm, and give him a look.

"I…I'll take the stairs," he said. Izuku got out and walked up with him. "Bakugo doesn't trust me," he mumbled. "I get it. You're the weird one, everyone should mistrust me." Izuku hugged his arm.

"He'll get over it," Izuku said lightly. Shoto didn't know if he believed him. Maybe it was good one of them was protected from him, though. But Izuku was so distracting, his scent, the way his skin tasted, that he was by far the one that was in the most danger in their class. And he knew that and still didn't care. Didn't seem to think about his own safety.

Why? It made no sense, but Shoto loved it.

-x-

"You really don't-"

"I want to," Izuku said, sitting in Shoto's lap, chest to chest. It was an intimate position, and it felt safe, even if Shoto was the one doing the holding. "Just, let me explain fully, okay?" They were in Shoto's dorm room so nobody listened in (Mineta). He was a pain in the ass, still. Izuku took a deep breath. "I was quirkless until I was fourteen."

He looked at Shoto experimentally, but he hadn't reacted and didn't look shocked or confused, which encouraged Izuku to continue. "All Might was sick - is sick. He showed you his injury and all, right?" Shoto nodded. "Because of that injury, his quirk was fading and he wasn't able to use it as much anymore. He had to pass it on or it would disappear forever. So he passed it on to me. One for All. It gives me strength and speed. But my body wasn't used to it, so it hurt me, broke my bones." He looked down at his arm, looking at the brace he had to wear on his upper arm.

He finally looked up when Shoto touched his face. "Even if you were still quirkless, I would still lo- like you," he said nicely. Izuku smiled, and kissed him, causing the reaction and deep sigh. Izuku didn't stop him when he started to lick and suck his neck. He didn't even go tense. But Shoto managed to move his head away, even if he was panting from the exertion of pulling away from the smell and taste.

Izuku cupped both cheeks. "I think I love you, too," he said with his own red cheeks, his freckles standing out. Shoto looked desperate, eyes wide and brows furrowed, waiting for him to take it back. "I'm not taking it back anytime soon. I promise," he vowed, making direct eye contact.

Shoto nodded, and sniffled a bit. Izuku planted a final kiss on his boyfriend's collar bone. They both ended up falling asleep on his bed, and Izuku woke to Shoto with his face in his neck, breathing deeply even in his sleep. But he didn't bite or lick, he just smelled. Izuku ran his hands up and down Shoto's clothed back, which kept him sleeping peacefully.

When he woke up, Izuku was looking at him with a smile. Such a soft, loving one, that it made him blush a bit. "You should get dressed," Shoto said shyly. "I need to apply my sunscreen."

"Do you need help?"

"Uh, sure," Shoto agreed. He took his shirt off and rolled up his pant legs. They both lathered his skin where it was possible to show with the extreme sunscreen. It smelled, but usually the scent faded after a bit when it dried. Izuku made no show that it smelled bad, so maybe he couldn't smell it as strongly as Shoto could, though it didn't bother him anymore.

After he was covered, they went to Izuku's room. Shoto was letting his sunscreen dry with the baggy clothes so it wouldn't smear in his tighter uniform. It seemed everyone knew they'd spent the night together, but it didn't look like anyone expected they'd done anything intimate. The girls just looked at them like they were adorable.

The two definitely were not as outgoing with PDA as Bakugo and Kirishima. Izuku seemed even happier than usual, maybe glad with Shoto's response to his unique situation. No wonder All Might's favorite with Izuku. It made perfect sense. Shoto didn't get coffee that morning, and had toast and then went upstairs to dress and drink his breakfast blood.
