Daphne Greengrass huffed as she turned around to look at the witch who was sitting amongst her friends at a table in the library, she had been trying to get Hermione alone for some time now. It had been nearly a month since the last Wizgamont meeting and as Yule break was fast approaching, she was running out of time. She had overheard Draco tell Hermione that Rita wasn't going to stop pestering her until she talked to someone and Daphne Greengrass was determined to be that someone. Daphne's mother started, owned, and ran Witch Weekly, and if she wanted to inherit the company her mother had told her she had to prove she was worthy of it. Her mother had made it clear that unlike every other pureblood heir Daphne had to prove she had the guts to run the magazine to be named the next Editor. And getting Hermione to talk about everything in an exclusive interview would be the coup of the decade as far as the heiress was concerned. And if she played her cards right would guarantee she took over after her mother was ready to retire.

"Greengrass," a voice behind her spoke startling the Slytherin girl as she turned and found Ginny Weasley standing behind her leaning against one of the shelves blocking her way. The ginger girl smirked at her as she began to speak again, "Hermione said she will give you five minutes to tell her why she should talk to you "on the record"."

"On the what?" Miss Greengrass asked as she blinked at the Gryffindor girl who seemed as confused as she did.

"Muggle phrase, she's saying she might grant you an interview," Lord Colin Creevey said with a laugh as he moved to pass Daphne to step on the floating tile that would take him up to the fifth-tier shelf where the book he needed was located.

Ginny just shrugged as she waved Daphne to follow her both ducking as several books raced towards the shelves to where they belonged. One knocking into Ginny rather roughly as the ginger girl cursed under her breath about stupid librarians and their shotty aim as she rubbed her left arm that had been battered by the flying tomes. Daphne could tell by the animated expressions around the table and the fact that Hermione looked like she was spitting fire that a privacy field was set around the group. Ginny grabbed her wrist as the blonde looked at her in confusion.

"Blood-based, anyone being admitted has to be officially invited," she offered as she pressed her hand on the barrier and it flashed for a moment as all of a sudden Daphne was assaulted by a loud shout.

"I am going to squash that little bug!" Hermione growled pacing as the rest of the table laughed "Kiki, Winky!" Hermione shouted as two-house elves popped in.

Daphne tried to not show her shock at not only the old Crouch elf who stood before her in a well-tailored skirt and blouse set with the tiniest kitten heels on her feet and her green hair pulled up in a delicate bun between her ears, but that the head female elf of the Malfoy family was dressed the same as well just in a royal blue shirt that matched the Malfoy coat of arms.

"Yes, Missy?" Winky asked as she folded her hands in front of her body like she was a prim and proper lady.

"We have a bug problem in this school," Hermione began as Harry just hung his head in resignation while Draco just looked turned on as he stared at Hermione. "Now I care for all of Hecate's creatures and this little beetle is a rare specimen. Dobby knows what it looks like and I have a feeling that it is somewhere in this castle or in and around Hogsmead,"

"Dobby helps his Master Harry Potter's sissy!" Dobby shouted with glee as he popped in wearing a buttoned-up collared shirt and slacks with a belt that had little pockets attached all around it with various items stuffed in them and the oddest pair of shoes that seemed to light up as he hopped in place in glee.

"Yes, Dobby now I want it captured and placed in this jar," Hermione said as she pulled out a jar from her bag. "Make sure to fill it with a few sticks and grass clippings before you catch it." She said as all two of the elves popped away leaving Kiki.

"Missy," Kiki began almost unsurely as Hermione nodded her head. "Elves be wondering if we's can makes more…uniforms?" the elf said as she struggled with the word grabbing on to her ears nearly twisting them as she said the word.

"Yes, Kiki, as many as you like. Headmistress McGonagall has asked me about a uniform for the Hogwarts elves as well as the few that work for her own house. Why don't you go ask her what she would like and take the catalog with you so she can see how talented you all are," Hermione offered as Kiki looked like she had stars in her eyes as she nodded her head popping away.

Turning around Hermione made contact with Daphne's eyes as she sat back down between Draco and Harry. "Well Greengrass," Hermione began as space was cleared at the table for the blonde in question who took the seat without fail.

"Full accurate reporting, your full approval of the article or any others, and any pictures we may need," Daphne said right off the bat not even blinking. She knew her mother may pitch a fit if she knew how much Daphne was giving, but the Slytherin was hoping that the increased profits would let her get away with it.

"It's my understanding that that isn't how it is done in the wizarding world," Hermione said as Daphne nodded in understanding.

"Yes, well. I know after the Triwizard tournament and the journalistic issues you have with Rita…" Daphne began as Hermione chaffed shaking her head.

"My biggest issue with Rita Skeeter is she is publishing what in the muggle world would be considered a gossip column as fact. That would never fly in the muggle world and the fact that it does here angers me," Hermione huffed.

"What do you mean?" Daphne asked as she started making mental notes to check out the muggle world journalism, hoping that it could give her a clue on how to deal with the articles she wanted to write on Granger…. Or was it Dagworth- Granger…. Or even Everleigh.

"In the Muggle world of Journalism there are people like Miss Skeeter that spread rumors and such but people know who they are, and know not to just believe them without evidence. Most every other journalist out there are held to standards of journalistic integrity and if something is printed in the papers is proven to be false the paper and sometimes the journalist will print what's called a retraction." Hermione answered as Harry took pity on Daphne's confusion.

"A retraction is the paper saying that they were wrong to publish the article in question, and the proof why it was wrong of them in the first place," Harry offered as the privacy field was disrupted. "Like how Rita kept getting my age wrong, no editor would have ever allowed that to fly no matter where it was being printed even in a gossip column, as it's the easiest thing to check someone's birthday."

"Honestly Harry you should sue the Daily Profit, Skeeter, Umbitch, and the bastard Fudge for liable and defamation of Character," Colin Creevey said as he sat down at the table with a stack of books, a wicked smile on his face as he pulled out parchment and a weird book that seemed to be held together by thin spiral metal.

"Excellent idea Colin…. Harry you should hire Jorkrock to represent you," Hermione said clapping her hands in excitement as the rest of the table groaned.

"Are you sure you're not part Dverger Hermione? Because that's just cruel," Neville asks as Hermione stuck her tongue out at the boy.

"Just because my account representative at Gringotts is also an ICW certified lawyer you all are just jealous." She huffed as Daphne watched the verbal play at work at the table.

"Darling," Draco began, as Hermione turned her head pushing out her lower lip as Draco growled turning his head so that he didn't have to look at her. "Just say yes Potter, your sister is playing dirty,"

"Only with you Drakie," Ginny snorted without looking up from her book as Hermione blushed as the entire table busted out laughing.
