Alright, this is the 11th chapter and the fourth season of the crossover story. I don't own the series of Queen's Blade or the videogame of Castlevania.
'Belmonts, Sypha, and Leina continue to battle beasts loyal to Dracula, but it's getting a little old while Luis, Drew, Tomoe, Risty, and Claudette journey their way to Styria while fighting against demons. Meanwhile, Alucard, Taka, Sumi, Alleyne, and Nowa receives a guest.'
Murder Wakes It Up
Somewhere around in Romania
Six weeks have past since the events of Lindenfeld, Trevor and his group decide to stop being adventurers and focus more heavily on demon hunting since monsters in Romania that are still lurking around. However, they decided to go separate ways when Luis, Drew, Claudette, Tomoe, and Risty head to Styria to put a stop of Carmilla because the Vampire Queen is planning to take her and her army back to Braila, but there's more about her goal of conquering Romania. The Belmont brothers, Sypha, and Leina remain in Romania for hunting monsters.
On the first week, Trevor, Bowen, Leina, and Sypha were at the forest of dead trees, dealing with the skeleton soldiers controlled by a vampire necromancer. They're having trouble of finding the vampire necromancer and dealing with the number of skeletons. The Belmont brothers and Leina fell off of the tree and about to fell down to the ground when the two crack their whips toward the tree while Bowen grab hold of Leina, swinging their whips while the skeletons pursued after them.
Soon as they landed on each of the trees, the Belmont brothers and Leina readied their weapons while the skeleton soldiers did the same. The skeleton soldiers made their first move as the leap in midair, leaping from tree to tree after them, but the Belmont brothers crack their whips, destroyed two skeletons. The skeleton army charges after them and go on the offense while the Belmont brothers and Leina go on defense. Trevor parried its attack and counter by kicking, but the skeleton came from behind when Bowen throws a kunai at it, destroyed the skeleton. Leina and Bowen are working together when they parried their attacks and destroy the skeleton soldiers, but the skeleton soldiers grew too much for them as they quickly leap from tree to tree while destroying the number of skeletons. Trevor was also outnumbered as he uses his Morning Star to wrap the chains around the tree, leaps off, and swing his whip around towards the other tree. Trevor then leaps from tree to tree while parried their attack and crack his whip, destroyed the skeletons as he then lands on the tree branch. He then leaps from tree to tree while the skeleton soldiers chased after him.
Spyha uses her magic to create ice platforms to run while dodging the skeleton soldiers, then leap towards the branch, and uses her platform to run. However, one of the skeleton soldiers found its target when it fires the arrow, causing Sypha to groan in pain when her left side of her cheek was grazed. Sypha counters by conjuring a spiked ice ball, threw it at the skeleton soldier and destroyed it in the process. However, what caught her off-guard is when the other skeleton soldier uses the axe to chop off the wooden branch, caused her to fall.
Sypha crashed against the tree branch, but it broke. She tried slowing her falling by using ice magic, but the ice platform breaks. She then conjures another ice platform, but it breaks. She then noticed the skeleton soldiers were being controlled by dark magic as she turns, saw a vampire necromancer down at the marshland ground as she then uses her ice magic to conjure an ice platform, lands it.
Trevor managed to block that attack, punches the skull and the skeleton breaks apart. But he failed to realize that the bones were tumbling down towards Sypha, causing the ice platform to break and knocked her out as she made a hard land down to the ground.
The vampire necromancer opens his red eyes with a snarl, floating towards her, but Leina leap off of the dead tree as she readied her sword. When the vampire necromancer was about to kill her, Leina lands and impaled the vampire necromancer in between the head and the heart, killed it in the process and the skeleton soldiers breaks apart.
Soon as the fight was over, the Belmont brothers landed next to Sypha and Leina while watching the bones fell down to the water.
"Next time, find somewhere less...dangerous to be, huh?" Sypha suggests with a pant.
"Yeah." Trevor agrees.
On the second week, Trevor, Bowen, Leina, and Sypha were at the ruins in the middle of the rainy days. They're completely surrounded by night creatures which there were only five monsters, readied their weapons.
"This isn't my fault." Trevor said with a scowl.
"Sure ain't mine, either." Bowen adds.
"Quite fair, this one is on me." Sypha admits. "I will make a Brate."
"On your own?" Leina inquires. "We're almost evenly numbered, but they're bigger than us and they look annoyed."
"You may want to crouch!" Sypha suggests.
And with that, the night creatures charge after them. Sypha uses her magic to turn raindrops into ice, gathering a large number of rain as she turns it into an ice ring, stopping the night creatures and killing them. She then motions her hand, spinning the ice ring and slicing the night creatures in half and then dissolves the ice into water.
Just when the fight is over, they noticed a portrait of Dracula in the ruins.
"Look." Sypha said as she and the other walk towards the portrait.
"Where did they get that?" Trevor asks with shock.
"Perhaps it's washed out of the castle in Braila." Bowen guessed. "No wonder they were angry."
"We disturbed them while they were praying to it." Trevor guessed.
"But why? Dracula is gone." Leina asks. "And yet, these creatures are still loyal to Dracula."
"I don't know." Trevor said. "But, we'll have to find out more once we continue killing the night creatures."
On the third week, Trevor and his group were heading to the church after hearing from the people that a vampire was killing numbers of people inside. The vampire was strangling on of the civilian in the neck, after made a scription of the spell.
Just when the vampire was about to kill a man, Trevor uses the Morning Star whip to grab hold of his wrist to stop him. The vampire turns his head to Trevor and his group, as he yanks the Morning Star whip, forcing the vampire to move away from the civilians. Sypha uses her fire magic to break wood and tosses the wooden stake to Trevor. The vampire growled and charges after them, but Trevor impales the wooden stake to the heart, killing the vampire in the process.
However, they noticed a magical script at the alter as they walk towards it.
"It's a spell." Sypha states. "Murder Wakes It Up."
"What kind of spell?" Trevor questions.
"Basically, a resurrection spell." Bowen answered. "That spell is considered a taboo, bringing someone back from the dead."
"Yes, but there's more than that." Sypha agrees. "It would've had worked its missing parts, but he would have killed these people to try."
"And the other thing?" Leina asks.
"A sigil." Sypha answered. "Sort of a magical code. It will have the name of the person he was trying to bring back from the dead."
"Oh, let me guess-"
"It decodes as Vlad Dracula Tepes." Sypha told them.
"Why am I not surprised?" Bowen questions with a groan, annoyed.
"Why the fuck would anyone do that?" Trevor questions with annoyance when the people shrugs. "Hm? Would you do that?"
The people shook their heads, not wanted to bring Dracula back to life which they're not stupid enough to do something like that.
"Oh, exactly." Trevor said, turns to the dead vampire. "God this is getting on my nerves! And I wish I could fucking kill you twice!"
On the fourth week, Trevor and his group are at the wheatfield, fighting against the small night creatures called Flea Man. Though, Leina and the Belmont brothers were able to fend them off and kill them since the Flea Man were making themselves an easy target when they jumped out of the fields. Sypha however, had a hard time using her magic while dodging from the Flea Man at the same time.
"Shit!" Sypha shouts, dodges the attack.
Trevor, Bowen, and Leina kill the number of the Flea Man. Trevor turns to her while dodge the attack.
"What did you just say?" Trevor asks surprisingly, parrying the attack.
"I said 'Shit', okay?!" Sypha remarked, using fire magic to shoot a fire bolt at the Flea Man, killing it.
Bowen then slices the two Flea Man when the third Flea Man was about to attack, causing Leina to block with her shield and sliced its head off. Trevor threw the throwing knives at the two Flea Man and kicked the third Flea Man.
"Yes, i-it's just that you never, you know? Curse." Trevor groans with a statement, but quickly dodges from the Flea Man.
"And now you're cursing? I wonder why now of all times?" Bowen questions, using his Combat Cross to whip the Flea Man.
"I never use to, and then all this happened!? And then you happened?!" Sypha shouts, having a meltdown.
"Me/Him?!" Trevor and Bowen exclaims in unison while killing the Flea Man.
"Yes, you! And yes, him! I was nice!" Sypha retorts when Trevor cracks his Morning Star whip, killing the Flea Man. "And then I met you, your brother, your friends, and now, I like you!"
"Oh, so it's my fault?" Trevor questions, but stops the Flea Man and kills it with a dagger.
"It's all your fault! You did this to me!" Sypha shouts at Trevor.
"We found you, turned into a statue in a fucking tomb!" Trevor retorted, dodging the Flea Man and sliced it in half.
"And climbed over me, and since that moment everything has been shit!" Sypha snapped when the number of Flea Man hops after her. "And-AHHHHH I'M FUCKING TALKING HERE!?"
And with that, Sypha then fires the flames at the number of Flea Man, burning them into a crisp. After the fight is over, they turned to Sypha, which she still snapped.
"YOU TURN ME INTO SOMEONE WHO SAYS 'SHIT'!" Sypha yelled. "FUCKETING SHIT HAIRY ARMS GIANT SLIMING BALLS OF SHIT!?"
On the fifth week after Sypha calms down, the zealots were beating the people with their wooden clubs while the people and the children were crying and in a binds. One of them was trying to escape, but the zealots knocked her with the wooden club. The zealots were forcing the children to get in line and forcing one of the child to move to the alter, looking at the statue of Death with horror. Just when the huge zealot was about to execute the child, the axe was burned and it got him scream in pain. Trevor and his group rushed after the zealots.
"Human sacrifice were years back in fashion!" Sypha states.
"Do we think this is about Dracula again?" Trevor asks, readied his Morning Star whip.
"More like these people are out of their fucking minds!" Bowen told his brother, readied his Crissaegrim.
"So, try to reason with them is out of the question?" Leina questions, readied her sword.
"No!" Sypha answered, use her fire magic to fly up in the sky and quickly descends down to one of the zealot, killing him while lands on the ground. "They were going to murder children!"
"Kids! Lay down flat, now!" Trevor shouts as he cracks the Morning Star whip, swinging his whip when the children quickly lays down, and kills two of the zealots.
Leina dodges and thrust her sword towards the center of the chest, killing the zealot. The elder zealot charges after Leina, but Sypha stops him by using her fire magic to burn him.
The red-haired zealot thrust his dagger when Trevor quickly dodges and wraps his chains around the arm, yanks him closer and elbows him, causing him to scream in pain as Trevor finishes him off by gouging the eye out with the handle of the Morning Star, killing him. The fourth zealot swings his dagger at Bowen, but he was able to dodge and jumps back while dodging. Bowen then kicks him in the sternum and impales him in the chest, killed the zealot in the process.
The huge zealot then sneak up on Bowen from behind when he was about to ambush him, causing Trevor to throw his throwing knife at the back of the zealot. It got Bowen's attention as he rolled out of the way and then sliced its legs off, causing the huge zealot to scream in pain. Bowen and Trevor then finished him by impaling him in the eyes with their blades, killed him.
After the fight was over, Sypha uses her magic to burn the binds and the adults ran to their children in tears. The Belmont brothers, Sypha, and Leina were relieved to see them safe, but they'll be traumatized after what happen. Soon as the people leave, Trevor and his group investigate at the alter that has a statue of Death.
"What's that thing?" Sypha asks with a ponder.
"Bowen and I have only seen drawings and books. He has a lot of names. Most often, he's called the Grim Reaper or just Death." Trevor explains.
"There's also about Death in the Book of Revelation in the Bible, Chapter 6, Verse 7-8." Bowen adds, reciting the verse. "When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard a voice of the fourth living creature saying 'Come'. I looked and behold, a pale horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth."
"He's actually death." Sypha points out. "I mean this is what Death looks like? Because I was hoping for something nicer."
"Nah, just people from an earlier time trying to understand what they were seeing." Trevor states, placed his finger against the statue of Death. "They're elemental beings that just feed on things in nature. He's not just Death, he eats death."
"So, this is a shrine to him?" Leina inquires. "People who still think this is Death itself."
"Paying tribute." Trevor guessed, leans closer to the statue of Death. "Maybe in the hope he can give Dracula back to them. Don't get me wrong, he supposed to be lethal, but he's not the sort of power who can reach into Hell and pull someone out. The world has gone crazy."
"And people have lost their sanity." Bowen adds.
"And this big stone?" Sypha inquires, looking at the stone.
"Flagstone." Trevor answered, walked out of the stone along with Bowen, Leina, and Sypha. "Must've been the prized up from the town square."
"What's the nearest place that would have Flagstones in their square?" Sypha questions.
"Only one place, where it all begins, where Dracula kill mankind a year ago." Bowen points out.
Romania, Targoviste
On the sixth week, Trevor and his group have finally arrived in Targoviste, the same city where it all began of Lisa's death and Dracula committed genocide. And now, a very few of the people remained in the ruins of the city, weary of the night creatures and lived in fear.
However, inside of the weapon rack after the few soldiers were killed, Trevor and his group were fighting against two of the skilled vampires. Sypha and Bowen were fighting a vampire named Ivan while Trevor and Leina were fighting another vampire named Sladek.
Bowen blocked Ivans twin swords and Sypha fires her fireball at him, but it doesn't affect on him. Bowen then pushes Ivan as they parry and block each others attacks, holding their attack while struggle. Bowen then pushes him and catch him off-guard by slashed him in the cheek, caused him to grunt in pain. Bowen was able to keep up with Ivan by blocking and counter his attacks, Ivan raises his twin swords and about to go for the downward slash, but Bowen dodges and impales him from the back towards the heart, leaving Ivan dead.
Trevor and Leina were working together fighting against Sladek which they're having a hard time because the two were on offense while the vampire is on defense. Sladek kept blocking their attack and swinging his two-handed sword, causing Leina to block with her shield and Trevor to aim at its leg. Sladek grunted in pain when Bowen gives them a hand by throwing his kunai knife after embedded with holy water, hitting right at the back. Sladek screams in pain when both Leina and Trevor both strike right into the heart, leaving Sladek dead.
After the fight was over, the Belmont brothers, Sypha, and Leina were completely exhausted ever since the six weeks of hunting the night creatures around in Romania.
"This is getting harder." Sypha states.
"Really?" Trevor asks sarcastically. "And I just heard a sound of all of my muscles and bones screaming! Oh God!"
"Mainly because we've been on six weeks finding the night creatures and occultists without any rest." Bowen points out, groaning. "Oh God! I'm sore all over!"
"We'll live." Sypha assures.
"God, I hope so." Trevor said with a smile.
After a few minutes, they investigate the weapon rack which they were wondering why would the two vampires are here and what were they looking for.
"What were they even looking for down here?" Sypha questions. "It can't be more weapons."
"And these weapons weren't even used ever since Dracula killed those people here years ago. The Bishop and the Church are still thinking that they'll be safe by God and getting the people to convince about the supernatural was all fantasy." Leina states with a scowl. "It's no wonder they didn't defend themselves and not knowing the truth."
"That didn't surprised me at all, the Church have started all of this and have many innocent lives pay the terrible price for the death of Lisa Tepes." Bowen points out.
As soon as they look at those weapons, Trevor turns his head and noticed those weapons that hasn't been used, but in good condition.
"This stuff. A lot of it is a good deal order." Trevor muttered, looking at the ornate dagger as he smells it. "This stinks of magic. They were looking for tools."
Sypha can only respond in silent with a guilt look on her face, looking at the dead body. It got the Belmont brothers and Leina's attention as she spoke.
"If we hadn't lost track of them, these people would all still be alive." Sypha muttered.
"Yeah." Trevor agrees, even Bowen and Leina agreed.
"This is where you suppose to say that it's not our fault, Trevor." Sypha told him.
"It's not, Sypha. We just lost track of time after six weeks and neither of us knew this would happen." Bowen points out.
"He's right, but if it was, I'm tired of the six weeks after this shit, they would have a better chance." Trevor groans, pulls himself up with a grunt and placed the ornate dagger on his tunic sleeve. "Oh God! Right, we need to find somewhere safe to sleep."
"And take tomorrow to rest, and think all this through." Sypha suggests as she, Leina, and the Belmont brothers walked out of the weapon room.
"Agreed." Leina agrees.
As soon as they left the weapon room, Trevor and his group are beginning to wonder why would they want Dracula back which they've went to the castle to kill the vampire lord few months ago.
"I don't get it. We killed Dracula, and now, we have to spend the rest of our lives making sure nobody brings him back from the dead." Trevor said in confusing, yet frustrated. "This is not what I agreed to."
"After things we've learned a few weeks ago, we didn't have much of a choice." Bowen told his brother. "I don't like it as much as you do, but with everything that's transpired, we don't have any options left."
"Also, if they manage to bring Dracula, it will escalate even further and all that we've done for Romania will be all for nothing." Leina adds.
Trevor couldn't help but groan, hated when the two were right. He then bend his knee down, placed his fingers next to dead corpses eyes, and closes them. Trevor and the others were out of the building, try to find a place to sleep and rest up tomorrow so they and think about what they have learned. Even though, this is where it all started at Targoviste, where Lisa is murdered because of the Church, and where Dracula killed the people years ago. Little did they know, two of the vampires named Varney and Ratko along with the night creatures were watching them from above at the bell tower.
"Are those two bastards where a Belmont crest?" Varney asks with a scowl, narrowed his eyes. "It is! And that's a Speaker magician and the Wandering Warrior with them!"
"And Sladek and Ivan didn't come out." Ratko points out.
"I know that, I've got eyes." Varney retorted, causing Ratko to shushed him. "This is unfair! I was one of Dracula's first loyal followers! He was going to give me everything, and I was close, so close to fixing it all, but now, I have to deal with the Belmonts, a mad magician, and a bitch warrior!"
"Varney, we need to go." Ratko suggests.
"Go where?" Varney asks, turns to him. "This is where I'm supposed to be! At the start of the war, I came here to take Targoviste and give it to Dracula as a gift! Why is everyone making it so fucking hard?! Don't they know who I am?!"
"No." Ratko answered simply.
"I'm Varney, nightmare of London! Terror of the British Isles! King Vampire Cocksman of all Europe!" Varney states. "And I don't have to put up with this. Go, go, back to the nest! I'll have all four of you for my fucking dinner."
Varney couldn't help but feel annoyed after everything that has happen, despite being the follower of Dracula and now, he's gonna have to deal with the four.
Romania, Dracula's Castle
While at Dracula's castle, Alucard, Alleyne, Nowa, Sumi, and Taka were able to fight against the night creatures since they're trying to get to the castle six weeks ago. After the hard training, Taka and Sumi were able to put the knowledge and training to good use. Alucard was pleased of their progress along with Alleyne and Nowa, who gave the two Japanese warriors a score of 75 for their efforts of teamwork.
Soon as the doors were open, Alucard and his group walked out of the castle, about to head toward the Belmont hold. It got their attention when they saw a recent deceased rider on a horse approaching the castle.
"A rider? This early?" Taka asks in confusion.
"No, somethings not right." Alleyne states with a scowl.
Alucard approaches the horse when it stops, looking at the dead rider.
"The rider, he must've been dead." Nowa states in shock.
"He must've kept on riding until he died from the pain of the blood loss." Alucard said.
"More like the rider is ambushed by that night creature and died." Alleyne points out, noticed something carrying on his hand. "He got something on his hand."
Alucard noticed it as he grabs the hand, moves it and pulls the reigns, and grabbed a small paper from his head, looks at it which happens to be a map on the front and a message on the back.
"Well, what did it say?" Sumi inquires.
"To the Alucard of the castle. For God's sake, why am I the Alucard now?" Alucard asks with annoyance, clicked his tongue.
"Maybe it's because you live here in the castle." Taka guessed, causing Alucard to glare at him. "Sorry."
Alucard then recites the message.
To the Alucard of the castle,
We the people of Danesti beg your aid. Night creatures, vampires, and terrible demons are so too assuming and may not know why. Our defense is weak and our numbers dwindled. Please sir, save our souls.
"Save our souls." Alucard muttered, finished reading the message.
They then look at the map where Danesti is located.
"That's only 20 miles away." Alucard said.
"Well, what do you think?" Taka asks. "Should we go to this Danesti and help them?"
Alucard only respond in silence as he was about to grab hold of the dead rider which it got the horse spooked.
"You can shut up. Taka, help me with that rider." Alucard said.
Taka then walk towards the dhampir, helping get the dead rider off of the horse and placed him on the ground.
"We're gonna give him a burial." Alucard suggests.
Few hours later, Alucard and Taka work on digging the ground while Sumi and Alleyne place the dead rider next to the tree. Soon as they give a rider a proper burial, they went back inside of the castle since there's no training for today. Alucard went to the room, pouring the pitch of water on the wash bowl, and wash his face. He then look at the mirror, made a choice.
"We'll be heading to Danseti." Alucard said seriously.
That's it for the 11th chapter.
Now, time for some facts about monsters.
Necromancer: A dark magician is also known as the 'Dark Sorcerer' that studies Death magic and Dark magic. Necromancy was prevalent throughout the Western antiquity with records of its practice in Babylon, Egypt.
According to the Geographica, Strabo refers to necyomantis, or 'Diviners of the Dead', as the foremost practitioners of divination among the people of Persia, and it's believed to have also been widespread among the people of Chaldea, Etruria, and Babylonia.
Also in the book of Odyssey, Odysseus travels to the Underworld in order to gain insight about his impending voyage home by raising the spirits of the dead through the use of spells which Circe, the powerful sorceress, have taught him.
Skeleton Soldier: An undead soldier that wields with a single western-style weapons and often wore armor.
Flea Man: Flea Man is a hopper-like monster that tends to hop around in short or long movements back and forth, though they do so more erratically and may combine their leaping movements with tiny continuous hops which traduce in a scurrying moment. And some were armed with weapons.
