I reached out to my army. They indeed remained loyal to me. I ordered them down to take Chancellor marna back up with them to safety. She didn't like the idea but I convinced her of the good of it. There was still a lot to be done down here and the Republic needed her safe.

From my men "Any other orders; general?" We shared a smile at that. "Actually there is. From here on out our force shall be known as the 501st Republican battalion." They caught the historical reference. "It will be done lord general." They departed with marna without delay for the freedom. There marna would remain until I better knew what I was dealing with here.

I also had Amica return. Others were willing to come with her but this needed to just be us for now. "Boss. I'm glad to see you're okay." "Thanks. I was more worried about others than myself." "I must admit: what I saw you do in the Force on the sensor feeds was amazing. Especially with the weapons fire doing nothing to you." I nodded. "I'm already dead Amica. I've already done that." "Indeed. It is still remarkable to watch."

I turned off to the side and looked at the ground. "I also asked you back for your opinion." "Of course boss." "What do you think of my destroying the Jedi council?" "Extreme but necessary. They could not see reason. You attempted that. The Republic is corrupt and weak. This is proven. The red enemy knows this too. The chosen one being present may be the only thing stopping them from doing an all out attack on Republic space."

I couldn't disagree; but it was also a human thing too… "You regret their destruction." I nodded. "Whatever our differences I still see them as brother Jedi." "Admirable boss. Unfortunately the Jedi leadership did not agree with that thought. The larger body of knights and masters may reciprocate if given the chance; being that power has not corrupted them so much."

That was my precise thought. The Republic still needed forceful peacekeepers. Badly. The main body of Jedi could still be that. Just in the Gray way now. The best way to follow the Force.

Getting the Gray order started was still the tricky part. The senate would remain divided on the Gray order's formation; especially with my recent controversial actions. And unfortunately I didn't have time to wait for the politicians to come around. The dark side was still strong with the socialists; and they were coming. Their malice and need to control would only increase with what was done to them so far.

I was gonna push forward and create the Gray order without initial approval from the senate. Ultimately I wanted them to be legitimately recognized but that would have to wait. Marna had given me her executive approval and for now that would be enough.

I already had my next move in mind. "Amica, can you access all Jedi comms with the holo net?" "Yes boss." "Open a channel to all Jedi possible." "Done. You're on."

"To all Jedi Knights. This is Anakin Skywalker. By now you know who I am and what I've done. I can only say that I still serve the light side as the chosen one and that your council was wrong. I'm here to save freedom and Republicanism from those dark side forces that want to end them. A united Republic is the only way this can happen. A gray Jedi order is the only way it can happen. I intend to fully make this new order legitimate in time; but we must act now to save the republic. If you will pledge your swords to the Gray way you will be welcome back. If not you must leave and never take up arms against the Gray order. If you are willing to join us send your requests to the reconstituted 501st battalion. Attention them to Chancellor marna; the true chancellor. Whatever you decide, may the Force be with you."

That would have to do for now. I was making this up as I went.

"Have you ever heard of the world between worlds Amica?" "No boss. What is it?" "It's essentially a mystical Force plane with gateways to all times and places." That was a lot to process to be sure. "This could be yet another tool for us to use to not only protect the Republic but to explore space too. All Jedi are called to use the Force for knowledge and defense. This is another way for us to do just that." Grays could use it for attack too but that was just code distinctions.

"Will it help us with with what we are dealing with now boss?" "I don't think so but the future is always in motion too."

"Boss. Fifty Jedi have requested to join the new order already…" I smiled at that. My guess was that many of the frontline Jedi were tired of the politics getting in the way of the Jedi code. I couldn't agree more guys. "These results are early but promising."

Indeed they were. The Gray way was the best Force philosophy ever created. Perfectly situated between light and dark sides. Balance. This was what would save the Republic. For sure. We just needed to get it out there and popularize it. The rest would follow.

And I had to be its top philosopher and promoter. It was the way of Jedi freethinkers and rebels. Those like quigon and myself. We rebel Jedi were the most loyal Jedi of all. Not dogmatic and inflexible like the old Jedi but not evil like the Sith either. Balanced. Like the scales of Justice had to be.

I returned with Amica to the under city to let things develop topside for now. Gyzar was still head of state on paper but marna had comms and safety now. I wasn't worried about him at the moment. I wanted to see what the dark side would do more with recent events. Like Obi-Wan always used to say about me: always on the move. Yes indeed master.
