Chapter 7: Sailor Scout Meeting 2 Planning For The Near Future:
The next day dawned as Demiyah came downstairs. Her parents, adoptive brother, cousins, adoptive uncle, Hayley, and Artemis were in the kitchen prepping breakfast for their group. The seven year old Moon Princess heard a beat as she entered the kitchen wearing a pair of pale pink pajama shorts and Wildwing Flashblade's jersey she had caught at the last season's opening Mighty Ducks hockey game. It wasn't advertised but Demyah never missed a single Mighty Ducks hockey game. Not the Mighty Ducks of her world, no, The team comprised of alien Ducks that exist in another world. Her parents openly find it hilarious and enable her odd obsession with them. She had been planning tracking down the worm that ate Canard Thunderbeak. She had been really vexed at that. She also intended to give Draganus and the Saurians nightmares. Again. Sure it wouldn't be the same without her brother Drake DuCaine, but she would love to get a reaction out of them. In fact that was what she planned to do after the meeting. Pluto insisted on recording the Saurian part via the Time Gates. Demiyah cracked up and agreed on the condition she make copies for her and the Scouts so they could laugh at it later. The beat hita crescendo as Demiyah started to sing.
Demiyah: I got my ticket for the long way 'round

Everyone laughed at the interaction. The Oliver family wasn't cenventional by any definition of the word. But the love that was present was around all the time. Being heroes made things more difficult yes, but it also made communication a lot easier. Demiyah had therapy sessions still with a Ranger therapist. But now she was getting shecked for spells almost weekly by Dana. Considering how many times Caroline in a not even a year attempted that stupid braces plan. After her last attempt, she openly said, it was not longer out of jealousy but now to make her into a slave for her master Diomedes. Which made Raye fly into a rage and damn near burned the woman alive. Lita and Amy were by far the worst in terms of anger. Mina looked very menacing at that particular moment. To say nothing of Krista and Amara's anger. Their eyes were glowing their respective scout colors. Krista's eyes were glowing a teal rimmed gold.
The first of the team to arrive was Krista. She came prepared with muffins to share. Surprisingly it was Kimberly who suggested a meeting over breakfast. Amy showed up with pastries with fruit inside them. Mina came next with cheesey hashbrowns. Selene trotting next to her. Amara and Michelle entered with sausage patties. Raye came in bearing pancakes and crepes. Trista entered the house while bringing some french toast. Kimberly made scrambled eggs while Tommy grilled some ham and a bit of halibut for the cats. Once everyone had their plates and drinks, Krista asked, "Okay, we still have to find Saturn right? Since we wanted to have the full team to fight Beryl. We have a magic user on stand by to purge the parasite inside her if the intell Selene managed to get was anything to go by." After swallowing a bite of her crepe Demiyah said, "That's true. I also think we should go to the moon and see if there is anything in the ruins of the Kingdom we can use to defeat Beryl and Endymion. Even if it's just a few of the older spellbooks." Raye pauses in her meal and says, "Demiyah's suggestion has the most logic and merit. However, we haven't found any of the Rainbow Crystals yet. So I suggest waiting to go until we have three at least." Mina said, "I agree with bothe Raye and Demiyah. Besides, waiting to have three of the Rainbow Crystals means we have time to prepare for the trip. Especially with alibis and what not." Amy said, "Good idea. We should also wait for a weekend. This way we don't have to miss school. Because those of us who's families aren't in the know already would become suspicious." Amara nodded, "Fair point. I say this plan is a go. So what we need to do first is find Saturn and get the parasite from inside her purged. Then we start looking for the Rainbow Crystals. After that we go to the moon and figure out how to defeat Beryl." Trista said, "There's something else we have to do." Michelle asked, "What's that?" Lita piped up, "The Generals. Jedite was captured and corrupted. Who's to say the other's weren't as well?"
Tommy pointed out, "It's fairly obvious when you take a good look at Nephlite. His hatred doesn't fully reach his eyes. On his face you can see that he's in pain. I'm not an empath and even I can tell." Natsumi said, "We should also look into creating a patrol roster. That way we can keep on top of not only Beryl, but future enemies too." The rest of the meeting/breakfast went like that bouncing ideas off of one another. After eating, the Scouts opted to spend the early afternoon in the mall. Kimberly offering to be the adult escort for them as aside from Trista they were all minors. Trista accepted the company and the group of ten went off. The boys and two cats opting to have a movie day instead. Demiyah saw a store filled with toys and begged her mom to let them go in. She found a really fluffy Bugs Bunny doll and a Lola Bunny. Then came the clothing stores. This was where Kim went all out helping her daughter find the cutest clothes. Of course they were all cartoon or kids show themed. But that wasn't shocking. However, they passed a business that gave both mother and daughter the jeebies. It was what claimed to be a health and beauty spa. The lady manning it was too familiar for comfort. But a blonde out front was handing out flyers for a free session for children ages seven to ten. Which really made Demiyah uncomofrtable.
During what was supposed to be a bathroom break Demiyah got seperated from her friends and mom. She knew better than to go into a store or any place without them. So the agreement was to head towards Claire's and meet them in front. As she passed by that so called 'spa' the blonde lady said, "Oh hello there deary. Would you like a free spa session? Kids ages seven to ten get a free full work up session. Plus a coupon for sixty percent off the next visit!" Demiyah said, "No thanks. I have to use the bathroom plus I have to go meet someone." The blonde lady took Demiyah's wrist and dragged her into the 'spa' while saying, "Nonsense little lady. This is free of charge! It won't take long. Plus we have a bathroom in the back for customers." Demiyah was struggling when she was taken into the back. She was handed a basket and ushered to the bathroom/changing room. "Now, change into that adorable bathrobe and no electronics or jewelry. It disrupts the vibe for the others." Demiyah stashed her communicator with the tracker on in subspace along with her jewelry. Before walking out in that ridiculous bathrobe and sandal like slippers. The lady said, "Good. Now then, seeing as this is your first time it will be a little odd." Before she pulled out a needle and injected it into Demiyah's neck.
Demiyah came to ten minutes later strapped to a salon chair. The blonde woman saying, "You have such beautiful hair. And such a unique color too. It's a good thing, the product I'll be using will make it grow long and thick." She also forced open Demiyah's mouth, "Ooh and such gorgeous teeth too. Everything about you is so beautiful. However, I'm just interested in your hair dear. Don't worry dear, this compound won't hurt you. It'll just make your hair grow really really long. Like Rapunzel's hair. Just think of me as the witch who cuts it. Seeing as you can't move and the chair has runes to keep you quiet this won't take long. Ten minutes at the most. Then Sherry get's you next. She's the one who wanted to deal with your teeth." Demiyah couldn't move an inch because of the restraints keeping her locked in place. The blonde said, "Oh I'm Cherry by the way. I'm happy to be doing this for you. Now be a good girl and keep still while I pour these potions on your hair." A violet colored liquid was dumped on Demiyah's hair making thicker and fuller. The a blue potion was dumped on her hair as it began to rapidly grow. Charry said, "Next I have to measure it. I took a before measure while you were out of it. So I know how short to cut it. Since I also know you refused and Carly dragged you in here, at the end of your session Mary will have to erase your memory of setting foot in here. But that's no worry. Since you won't remember, that just means you can still have a second free session later on. Now, time for a haircut sweetie! Stay still!" She drapped a bib like thing around her after saying, "The potion grew your hair to seven feet six inches longer than before the potion. So time to get started!" Cherry took a pair of sharp scissors and started cutting Demiyah's long hair back to her original length.
After five minutes the hair was gathered up and Cherry said, "Your done with me. Just sit tight, Sherry will be here in just a moment." A red head came and took the Salon chair that had wheel for no real reason down a hall. Then the chair morphed into a dentist's chair. Sherry said, "Seeing as I doubt you'll willingly open your mouth hold still." She put something to pry one's mouth open in Demiyah's mouth. "Such lovely teeth. But I see one that's a little crooked, according to my pocket scanner, it was done because of a spell gone wrong. It's also due to come out, So let me just swab the area with a numbing solution. Now on three there will be a slight pressure. One, two, three! And there, tooth removed. No shots, no pain, and best of all no post novocain headaches. Now then just three drops of a fast acting healing solution and done. Just one more stop and that's Mary." Demiyah when she was able to talk after being made to change back into her clothes demanded, "Why was I subjected to this?" Cherry said, "We're Scouts you see. Our team specializes in Health and Healing. So we started this store to help people but no one wanted it. Meaning now we had to resort to abducting a child. Mary also does massages/accupunture. So she learned which pressure points are best to erase memories. The hair goes to make wigs for patients with diseases that cause hair loss." Demiyah asked, "And it never occured to you to register with the Power Rangers to get business? Because I assure you, they would hear about your plight." Yeah but we took you and whoever your supposed to meet are probably looking for you. So we'll get shutdown." Demiyah said, "Don't worry I know what to say." In the front of the store Kimberly said, "Why is my daughter in your business?" Demiyah said, "I really had to go to the bathroom mom and couldn't hold it until I got to Claire's. The lady here Carly told me customers could use their bathroom in the back room. So Cherry said, they had something to make my hair thicker and fuller. While Sherry could deal with that crooked tooth you would've had to do surgery to remove no problem. So they did in exchange for letting me use their restroom. Their Sailor Scouts too. Cherry, Sherry, Mary this is my adopted mom Kimberly Oliver. Mighty Morphin Pink, Pink Zeo, first Pink Turbo, and Dino Thunder Purple as far as Ranger identities go. I'm Dino Thunder Pink and Sailor Moon. Princess of the Silver Millennium."
The oldest of the girls Sherry said, "I'm Sherry also known as Sailor Grace, this is Cherry who is Sailor Sparkle, and lastly is Mary Sailor Fontaine. Our fourth Member Ashley is Sailor Eros. We have sprite similar to Kwami's that help us achieve greater levels of power. I am so sorry Princess. I wouldn't be shocked if you took our powers. As my friends and I were the Royal Physicians back in the day." Demiyah said, "Okay now since considering the reasons, I won't take your powers. On two conditions however." Cherry asked, "What are they Princess?" Demiyah said, "First off you register with the Rangers while handling thier inspections and rules. Second, you have got to to show me how to make that violet potion for my hair. Mina would so love to get some for herself." Sherry said, "Can do Princess. Would you be adverse to us using our healing magic to patch your court up after battles?" De,oyah shook her head, "I wouldn't say no to the help. If anything I wouldn't exhaust so much of my own healing powers if I had help. Helping others is fine, just rethink how you do it." Mary said, "Sorry. It's not easy when you have very little understanding how people are. Our parents were super strict and we had to run away once we were eighteen. They kept us locked in our homes all the time. We found papers that emancipated us filed by relatives who were supposed to be our Guardians." Kimberly said, "Just give the Rangers names and we can confront them. By the way, do you sell nutrient potions? Since I can never seem to find them in the premade section of the magical district. Demiyah's Healer recomended them due to her metabolism." Sherry said, "I make all the potions. If you can source me a list of ingredients I can buy them. I do make potions via order. Just use the magical reroute link on our website. Those with magic in their blood or Morphing Grid energy can see the link. Otherwise to those with no magic it just looks like a cute picture Cherry drew for the site." Sherry handed Kimberly a business card with the website, company e-mail, and phone number. Demiyah said, "Once it's running to Ranger Standards, and Beryl's defeated, I would love to come here for a massage. Seven years old and I'm getting tense muscles." Mary said, "Be more than happy to help Princess. I've been planning to learn Aromatherapy to help with healing. So perhaps next time you can experience that." Demiyah laughed, "Next time. Who knows the Ranger could very well hook you up with a bigger building. So you could add in a sauna or jacuzzi tubs to expand."
After leaving the mall armed with several new things including products from the trio of Healing Scouts Demiyah made off to the Mighty Ducks World. She did say she would stop in Toon City and pick up a few groceries on her way home. Since Kim needed a few things for Demiyah's packed lunch. As they couldn't get certain foods Toons ate. Since Demiyah was in a School in the Human World she couldn't get the proper nutrition she needed for her Toon powers. All they really knew about Toon powers was a few entries in a journal from Tommy's grandmother from before Doom's campaign of terror. She was a school teacher for both human and Toon children before Doom's campaign started. So she left a journal in case a future family member had a child who was part Toon. It explained a little about about the various abilities. But mostly about the medical and nutritional needs.
Demiyah arrived in Anaheim with about five hours to spare before the Ducks were due at the Rink. She warped to Dimensional Limbo and after what seemed like hours, found the worm. She grappled with it and in a flash of light the worm was forced to split in two. From the two halves came Canard. Quickly using her Healing powers she got him back to somewhat normal. She passed him a blaster and the pair went back to Anaheim. There they saw the Saurians and the Ducks fighting. Canard stepped in and shocked the others. Demiyah stepped out and transformed. Dragaunus took one look and said, "Oh darkness no! Not her." Before peeing his robe. The others were wide eyed before running off screaming like they were in a bad horror movie.
Down in the Pond Wildwing asked, "What did you do to the Saurians they had that reaction?" Demiyah cracked up laughing. "I'm actually the reincarnation of the Princess of Kingdom Hearts. Drake DuCaine was my half brother. We had different fathers but the same mother. Drake and I fought the Saurians together. During that time I may have pranked them to point of paranoia setting in." Nosedive howled in laughter as the others laughed as well. Tanya asked, "How did you get Canard from inside the Worm?" Demiyah said, "I used my magic to force the Worm to split in two while creating a protective film like subastance around Canard. Though he can fight okay. He'll need some training to fight like he used to and play hockey." Mallory asked, "Speaking of Hockey, are you coming to the game tonight?" Demiyah grinned, "I've never missed a game and I don't intend to start tonight." Duke asked, "What did you do with the jersey you won from last season?" Demiyah admitted sheepishly, "I use it as a night shirt. Wildwing reminds me a lot of Drake personality wise so when I have it on, I feel like my big brother's watching over me."
That night the game was in full swing as the Ducks were ahead by two points. It was down to the last few seconds as Nosedive swung his hockey stick and scored a goal just as the buzzer went off signalling the end of the game. The announcer said, "And there you have it folks Ducks win 12 to 10!" The team were in acircle crossing their sticks saying, "Ducks Rock!" Demiyah got to patrol with the team and was given more exploding pucks by WIldwing since she helped get the materials for them. Getting hugs from both Flashblade brothers knowing she was family.
While at Ralph's market in Toon City, Foxy saw her and asked, "What's a kid doing here?" Demiyah said, "Mommy had a meeting that was running late and asked me to pick up a couple things when my sports thing was over. She made sure I could fight off bad guys. I just need two more things." Foxy said, "Okay kid I trust you. Just don't stay out too late. School starts up again tomorrow." Demiyah said, "I get tomorrow off. It's a Teacher's Work Day tomorrow. But I'll be straight home. I just have a Field Trip for School tomorrow, but we don't leave until ten." She paid for the groceries and warped home. Entering the house she handed her mom the groceries. As the Munny came from her Heartless battles she got to keep the change.
Entering her room she found a letter on her bed. It was from Caroline of course. It read:
-If you don't want your birth mother arrested under false charges of Pedophilia, come to the address on the second page.-
The address was a creepy abandoned dentist's office. She handed the note to Tommy who called Trista. She confirmed it was real and that she had Natsumi in one of the rooms under silencing wards. She also put up wards to keep all but Demiyah away. There was also a phone number to call for instructions. So she called it.

Good. Come to the building and go up to the second floor via the stairs. At the thrid door from the stairwell you will see a woman at the reception desk. You will give her your name and tell her you are Doctor Masterson's appointment. You will listen to Doctor Masterson and have done what he tells you no protesting. Got it? Or Natsumi is arrested by a corrupt officer who isn't under SPD athority. And He can file a fake report of abuse. That will give me under an alias custody.
Whatever.
After hanging up Demiyah said, "What else can I do? There's no feasable way to get out of this." They pulled up to the office as Demiyah went inside. There she went up two flights of stairs and saw the door that was specified. The woman said, "And you are missie?" Demiyah said, "I'm Demiyah Oliver. I'm Doctor Masterson's appointment." The lady looked at the paper in front of her. "Yes it's all here. Go through this door and take a left seventh door on the right hand side." Demiyah did as told as a male voice said, "Well don't just stand there come in and take a seat." Demiyah entered the office and climbed in the dentist's chair. It went back as he said, "Now then kiddo let's begin. Open wide!" Demiyah opened her mouth as the man said, "Okay now stay still. This procedure is very delicate." He started by drilling, and then inserting something in her molars. Doctor Masterson said, "Now, the next part is really easy. The second you make even a little noise your done. So next part is getting the wires on." Demiyah asked, "Wire's?" Doctor Masterson said, yep. Now Open Wide and keep still. You are my patient after all." Demiyah had tears in her eyes and let out a whimper. Doctor Masterson said, "Well good news is the hard part's done. Now come the last part." Demiyah looked in the mirror and saw, "She had you put braces on me?! Seriously?!" Doctor Masterson said, "She layered another pair of spells that took effect the moment you entered the second floor." Demiyah asked with snark in her tone, "And that would what exactly?" Doctor Masterson said, "A spell to make your teeth crooked and a spell to ensure you wouldn't leave before the last part of the procedure. She also has those papers ready to file at any time so you did agree to follow instructions. So lay back, I have to finish." Demiyah couldn't believe this, but to save her mother she would do it. She layed back down in the chair as he held out an implant and tried to force it into her mouth. He made a call after the implant broke and said, "She got the braces. The implant broke. I blame shoddy materials. Now will you let my daughter go? My little girl Sarah has nothing to do with any of this." Demiyah was stunned, the Dentist was being porced to do this. She activated her Communicator and made sure they were listening. The Rangers got the location and mounted a rescue arresting Caroline and the Officer burning the fake files for good measure both the Originals and the copies. Even deleting the digital copies with a virus. Rescuing Natsumi who wasn't in the building where Demiyah was at all.
Doctor Masterson said, "I broke the implant on purpose. I swear I didn't want to do this but she kidnapped my daughter who was all I had left ater my wife and two son's were killed by Tuxedo Mask last year. A month before Dino Thunder were active." Dana scanned Demiyah's mouth. "Good news is the spell won't last much longer an hour or so at the most. Bad news, if those braces aren't removed soon, Demiyah's teeth will stay that way and she'll have to keep them for two years." Demiyah asked Trista, "Are braces hidden by the glamor?" Trista replied, "No they aren't. And those colors are very distinctive. Why?" Demiyah said, "Doctor Masterson is a good guy just grieving. So, if there was a way to not make him feel bad about doing this, why not right?" Kimberly asked, "Your not asking what I think your asking are you?" Demiyah said, "If by what you think I'm asking is 'why not let me do the braces thing so he does not feel bad anymore?' Then yes." Kimberly asked, "Tommy your thoughts?" Tommy said, "Honestly, I think testifying against Caroline would probably help him more than this." Demiyah pondered that and looked at Doctor Masterson who said, "Making that woman pay would make feel so much better than being forced to watch you suffer." Demiyah shrugged and Doctor Masterson saw a second note from Caroline.
-If you thought just waiting for the spell to end would make her teeth go back to normal try again. Even a magical dentist would say she needs braces. Check and Mate-
A magical dentist used her wand and said, "She will need braces if their kept on, but even in magical girl form there is a spell to hide them. Good thing though is Caroline didn't have the power needed to make it stick for the full two years." Kimberly asked, "How long would it be?" The woman said, "Exactly seven weeks from today." Looking at each other before their daughter Kimberly and Tommy asked, "So what do you want to do?" Demiyah asked, "You are certified to do orthodontic care right?" Doctor Masterson said, "Yes. I also even if it isn't applicable anymore have all the needed certification to handle Toon dentistry." Demiyah said, "I'll keep them. If and only if, Doctor Masterson is my regular dentist. No offense Mom, but he has the right qualifications to handle my dental health as I am a Human/Toon hybrid." Doctor Masterson said, "No dear. I refuse to let you keep them. Sit back and I'll remove them." Demiyah said, "No can do. Since we were talking the entire time there isn't enough time. Just pencil me in for tomorrow and we'll call it even." Doctor Masterson said, "I'm trained to remove brace and the brackets in five minutes. So just lay back kiddo." Demiyah shrugged and said, "Really. I'm okay with this. Just don't try like the last idiot and strap me down."
So reluctantly Doctor Masterson agreed. Once the time passed, Demiyah felt the magic stick. Doctor Masterson said, "I wish you would have let me remove them." Demiyah said, "I told you I'm are spells to keep the things people who have braces aren't supposed to eat from getting into them. But I stick by what I said about him being me regular dentist mom." Kimberly chuckled and said, "This isn't abandoned is it?" Doctor Masterson said, "No, the offices are mostly specialists on the ground and first floors. Second floor upwards is dentists. Did you want to schedule an appointment?" Demiyah said, "Tomorrow morning ten am if it's available. A full exam if possible." After checking his shcedule he said, "Ten am on the dot. Don't be late and I will see what I can do for your health Toon wise. I can look to see if I can find a book on Toon Biology but no promises. I can promise a Buster Bunny plush doll though." Demiyah giggled, "Sounds good to me." Doctor Masterson before he and his daughter went home said, "I'm Reggie Masterson. I had no memories aside from a partial name but thanks to the X-Men I was able to get my dental certification. My office also doubles as a safe point for Mutants who have to run away from home." Tommy said, "While Natsumi brings Demiyah to her appointment tomorrow I'll speak with the Council to see what we can do to help you out Reggie. And please call me Tommy." Kimberly said, "I'm Kim from here on out. You and Sarah both were just more victims of Caroline. Which is why I'm guessing Demiyah chose to keep the braces you put on her." Demiyah piped up and said, "Well partly yes. But also Sarah is from the Silver Millennium." Kim looked at the golden haired girl, "I'm Princess Seraphina of the Sun an the Scout of the Solar Kingdom Sailor Sun. But I have braces too. I have to keep them on for another seven weeks." Demiyah said, "So it's also a show of solidarity for my Silver Millennium cousin. With that being said, when I'm not a not at the Office for an appointment, may I call you Uncle Reggie?" Reggie thought about it for a moment an said, "Seeing as my daughter is your Silver Millennium Cousin, yes. Yes you may. Though why choose to keep the braces?" Demiyah chuckled, "Seraphina did everything together. Even medical procedures for some crazy reason. If she had to have braces for seven months I figured, why not? We're in the same Second Grade classes. We have the same teacher for Phys Ed, this just makes the bond more right in my book." Returning home with Sarah's contact information and a promise of a sleep over in two weeks, Artemis asked, "Time ran out to get them off?" Demiyah said, "Nope. It only lasts seven weeks. I can wait it out. And I found Seraphina's reincarnation. We're in the same classes at school and her dad's now my dentist. I have an appointment tomorrow. So night."
