Chapter 43 Weather Wonderland
Ash and Lillie are now at Fork in the Road, and since they are in a new place, they are going to capture new Pokemon.
Ash: Well, since I have a lot of Tauros, I think maybe I should capture a Miltank for them.
Then he uses his head Tauros to find the Miltank, and eventually, he manages to find one to let Ash capture her. Then he also notices a Bouffalant and captures it as well.
Lillie: I'll capture a Druddigon, since I feel like I need another Dragon-Type Pokemon.
Ash: Druddigon is hard to tame, but I know you can.
Lillie uses Litwick to battle Druddigon, using Will-o-wisp to make it burn, and then defeating it with Hex, Litwick also evolves into a Lampent while capturing Druddigon.
Lillie: And I remember that Lampent uses Dusk Stone to evolve into Chandelure...
She uses the stone on the Pokemon, and now a Chandelure appears.
Ash: Lillie, do you know why the Litwick evolution line is dangerous?
Lillie: You mean that the flames on its body can burn away a person's soul? I know about that, but I know my Chandelure won't do that.
Ash: Yeah.
Ash then uses Duosion to help capture a Seviper, and he manages to weaken it before capturing it. Duosion also evolves into Reuniclus after the capture of Seviper. Lillie also wants to capture a Gogoat, so she uses Gothorita to use Confuse Ray on Skiddo, and then captures it. Gothorita also evolves into Gothitelle, much to her delight.
Lillie: I finally have a Gothitelle. I heard this Pokemon is strong.
Ash: It sure is strong indeed.
Then Lillie also captures a Doduo, as she is not scared that the Pokemon have three heads, but she is scared that all the heads will fight with each other. And by training for a while, Skiddo and Doduo evolve into Gogoat and Dodrio.
As for Ash, he captures a Karrablast, and he tries using Link Stone on it, and it evolves into Escavalier, Lillie also does the same thing to Shelmet and evolves it into an Accelgor.
Ash: Thank goodness...I thought I would need to get Shelmet to evolve it...
Lillie: That sure is convenient.

And after capturing the Pokemon, they find that the road is split into three.
Lillie: There are three ways to go. Which way should we go?
Ash: There is Weather Wonderland to the west, Cool Cave in the north, and Dark Dungeon to the east. I am curious about this Weather Wonderland. (Lillie looks at him with confusion.) I mean, why is it called Weather Wonderland? What is special about this place?
Lillie: I know what you mean, but I am curious about Cool Cave, sounds like it is a place for Ice Type Pokemon. And Dark Dungeon also sounds like a place similar to Opaque Valley, for Dark Type Pokemon.
As they head north to the Cool Cave, they are stopped by an officer.
Officer: We're clearing the road from a recent avalanche. We should be done soon.
Ash: I guess we can't go to Cool Cave for now.
Lillie: Oh man...then what about the Dark Dungeon?
But as they get there, they see that Draga is standing in front of the cave as it is not moving. Ash tries to get her attention, but she doesn't reply as well.
Lillie: I think she told us that she fears caves; maybe we should give her some time.
Ash: I guess, but then we can only go to Weather Wonderland.
After that, they leave and go to the Weather Wonderland.
Ash and Lillie are now at the Weather Wonderland, they look around and find this place really hot.
Lillie: We are in the Sunny Area, that must be why this place is hot...
Ash: I think this place has 4 different sections...this is for Sunny weather...
They then decide to capture some Pokemon in the area, and they capture a Castform, a Growlithe, a Kantonian Vulpix, a Numel, a Darumaka, a Kantonian Ponyta, a Magby, and a Slugma. Both of them then train their Pokemon so that they evolve into stronger Pokemon. And after some training, they now have an Arcanine, an Kantonian Ninetales, Camerupt, Magmar, Darmanitan, Kantonian Rapidash, and Magcargo.

Lillie: These sure are a lot of Fire Type...
Ash: I know, though if I need to evolve Magmar, I still need a Magmarizer. Though I don't know where I can get one...
They also train the other Pokemon, and they evolve Galarian Mr. Mime into Mr. Rime, and Lairon into Aggron.
Lillie: (Notices the cave.) I guess this cave must be the exit...
Ash: I don't think this is the case...
As they get into the cave, they see that a lot of Duraludon inhabiting them, and they are not that friendly.
Ash: This is not good...
The two of them start to run, and Pikachu and Snowy are trying to use their moves to stop them. In the end, Ash manages to capture one of the Duraludon and also takes a Duraludonite, and they get out of the cave.

Ash: That was close...that cave sure is inhabited by Duraludon...
Lillie: Yeah...that was quite scary...
Just then, the rain is pouring, and Lillie forgets to bring the umbrella again, so Ash is helping her.
Ash: I think we are in the Rainy Area...
Lillie: This sure is a weather wonderland...
They find a Kecleon and capture it, and a Dewpider and train it to become an Araquanid, a Togedemaru, as Lillie reminds them of Sophocles, which causes Pikachu to groan a little. They also capture an Alolan Geodude, and after evolving it into a Graveler, he uses the Link Stone to make it an Alolan Golem. Lillie captures a Joltik, and evolves it into a Galvantula in the end. Then they capture a Magnemite and evolve it into a Magneton, by using a Thunder Stone, it evolves into a Magnezone, and a Voltorb and evolves into an Electrode. And then an Elekid, which evolves into an Electabuzz. They also train some Pokemon and evolve Sandygast into Palossand and Morgrem into Grimmsnarl.

After walking past the area, they are inside the cave, and they sigh in relief as they don't see any Duraludon inside.
Ash: (Looks at the exit.) I guess that the next weather is going to be Snowy...
Lillie: It's a good thing we have winter outfits with us.
Ash and Lillie are now wearing their winter clothes as they go to the Snowy Area, they can find some Ice Type Pokemon and some Ice Skating puzzles in the area. They capture a Snover and evolve it into an Abomasnow, a Snorunt and evolves it into a Froslass by using the Dawn Stone, a Swinub and evolves it into a Piloswine, and by learning Ancient Power, it evolves into a Mamoswine in the end.
Ash: You really like to capture Ice Type Pokemon, don't you?
Lillie: I feel that Ice gives me a serene feeling...since my first Pokemon is Snowy, and my first Z Crystal is Icium Z.
Ash: I know...I think I'll capture a Pokemon as well...how about a Delibird?
Lillie: I heard that Delibird only uses Present and Drill Peck normally, are you sure?
Ash: It's fine, I can also ask the Pokemon to send some things to my mother if I want to.
Ash then spots a Delibird and he uses Pikachu to damage it, and then he captures the Pokemon without a problem. While Lillie continues capturing Pokemon as she goes for Sneasel, and she captures it with the help of Snowy. And Ash also captures a Smoochum and evolves into a Jynx, and a Vanillite and evolves it into a Vanillish. Lillie also spots some Galarian Darumaka who are pretending to be snowmen, she captures one and evolves it into a Darmanitan.

Ash: I guess we're here for too long, let's go to the next part.
But as they go to the next part, it is now Sandstormy, which causes them hard to open their eyes.
Lillie: This is really not good for us... I can't see anything...
Ash: Me too, but this is the final stretch.
Lillie captures a Trapinch, and she trains this Pokemon hard to make it a cool Flygon. Ash captures a Maratus and a Ferroseed, and he evolves Ferroseed into a Ferrothorn by training. Then Lillie captures a Silicobra and evolves it into a Sandaconda because she knows about the Gigantamax of this Pokemon, and a Rhyhorn which evolves into a Rhydon by training. Ash tries out Cubone and uses a Fire Stone on it to evolve it into an Alolan Marowak, which reminds them of Kiawe, he also captures a normal Marowak after evolving it from a Cubone, and he also trains his Metang, and it evolves into a Metagross, much to their delight.

And eventually, they find Emily and Gladion at the gate to the next place, and they are waiting for them while wearing some Safety Goggles.
Emily: Hi, Ash, Lillie! It's been a while, hasn't it?
Lillie: It sure is good to see you again. How have you been?
Gladion: We made it through Olidroll not long ago. It must have been just before you got there. While we were there, we made sure to get the Move Tutor to teach some moves to our teams. This place sure is fascinating. Sometimes the weather can be harsh, but we're at the end.
Emily: Why don't you take this? It should help get the sand out of you and your Pokemons' eyes.
Ash and Lillie take the Safety Goggles from them and they put them on.
Emily: I've been using them myself. You have to be prepared in a place like this. Speaking of which, are you prepared for me?
Lillie: I think I haven't battled you before, how about I do it this time, while Ash can go battle my brother?
Gladion: Fine by me, I will like to have my rematch.
Ash: You're on.
Now Emily sends out her Lilligant named Lily, and Lillie sends out Cinderace to battle. Cinderace uses Flamethrower to deal a lot of damage, but with the Sandstorm, Emily's Pokemon is wearing Safety Goggles and it is not affected. Lily uses Synthesis to heal itself and uses Leech Seed to gain Cinderace's HP.
Lillie: Cinderace, don't let it affect you, use Bounce!
Cinderace jumps into the air and lands the bounce, which eventually knocks out Lilligant.
The next one is Naomi, her Ninetales, Lillie goes for Primarina to battle. With the Confuse Ray and Will-o-wisp, Primarina is confused and burned at the same time, which makes it lose a lot of damage.
Emily: I'm not finished yet. Use Nasty Plot!
As Ninetales is raising its Special Attack, it goes for Fire Spin, but Lillie has Primarina go for Sparkling Aria, which defeats Ninetales in the end.
The third Pokemon is Azura, her Azumarill, Lillie uses Toxtricity to battle. Azumarill uses Aqua Ring and it heals itself every turn. Lillie has Toxtricity use Poison Jab, but it misses since Azumarill is going for Rollout.
Lillie: Stop it by using Overdrive!
And the guitar sound causes Azumarill to stop, and then Lillie uses the chance to land a Poison Jab when it is going for Aqua Tail, knocking the Pokemon out.
The fourth Pokemon is Francisca the Frosmoth, it creates the Hail and goes for Aurora Beam on Toxtricity, causing it to be defeated after a lot of weather damage. Lillie goes for Relicanth to battle this Pokemon, with the Ancient Power, it manages to defeat Frosmoth as it is super effective.
Emily: Even though the weather is now Snowy, with the Safety Goggles, my Pokemon aren't going to be affected. Here is my new Pokemon, Tyra!
The fifth Pokemon is a Tyrantrum, and Lillie uses Primarina again to battle it, but Tyrantrum uses Head Smash, with the ability Rock Head, he doesn't take recoil damage, and Primarina is defeated by the Burn. Lillie goes for Gardevoir, causing her Dragon Claw to miss. But the Crunch causes the Defense to drop, it tries to land the Head Smash. But Gardevoir dodges by using Teleport and delivers a Moonblast to knock it out.
The final Pokemon is Lana, her Lopunny. Lillie switches into Mienshao, and it manages to dodge the High Jump Kick, which gives it a lot of damage, and then it goes for Close Combat, knocking it out of the battle.
Emily: Well, looks like we're the ones who weren't prepared for you! (Recalls Lana.)
At the same time, Pikachu manages to defeat Umbreon in the end, as Ash wins against Gladion.
Gladion: Good game, Ash.
Ash: You're stronger as well. (Shake hands with Gladion.)
Emily: After walking through this whole and battling me, you must be as worn out as I am. Here, let me heal your team again.
After Emily heals all their Pokemon, they are now facing the gate as Emily is telling them about the next stop.
Emily: Up next is Premoggin Softlands, where the Fighting Gym leader lives and trains. I heard they're opening up of place called the Battle Mall. We should check it out!
Ash: Battle Mall? That sounds interesting.
Gladion: I saw Jim pass through here earlier with a tour group, too. I think they were headed to the canyon. Lots of things are happening, so I guess we got here at the perfect time.
Then Emily and Gladion head to the place first, with Ash and Lillie following behind.
Here is the Weather Wonderland, there is nothing much to say about this place, except for the fact that the place is split into four sections with each one being different weather. And about Ash's sister Emily, I have been trying to combine the rival in the game and my own Emily OC, and I decide to have Lillie battle her this time. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be a rematch against Jim and someone else.
