"That wasn't me, why wasn't that me!" After experiencing a memory from his past reincarnation Link begins to doubt the legitimacy of Hylia's rule over all of the land. Is Link about to commit blasphemy or is his doubt just?

Mix of OoT & TP. The Hero of Time failed and the Kingdom of Hyrule has fallen. Now 17 years later a brave but cursed boy, and a knowledgeable yet timid girl, are called forth to try and finish what the Hero and Princess started. A voice calls out into the night and two small lights set forth to try to bring peace to a world bathed in blood and shadows.

Before setting out to free the Divine Beasts, Link buys a house in Hateno, just on the outskirts of the village. It's bare, and feels too big for just one person, but when Link sees the construction company about to tear it down, he impulsively spends almost all of his rupees on it. Then he takes one look at the inside and leaves it, empty and mostly untouched.

Awaiting Calamity Ganon was just the beginning. Princess Zelda tries to find out why her appointed knight Link is so quiet while he, in turn, works with her to secure a rare piece of ancient technology. The young knight, though, seems to have a game of his own in play. A short Breath of the Wild prequel.

Hyrule is no more, an event forced its inhabitants to flee. While most of Hylian culture survived the legends of the Hero were forgotten. Now many centuries later and an evil is rising. Now an unsuspecting Hylian must rise up to become the next hero with no stories to guide no recognition and no real experience. Time has come for the Forgotten Hero to rise to the challenge!

What happens when the Champion of Hyrule wakes up with no memory of his life previous as to what he's already seen. The Shrine of Resurrection. Well with the fleeting moments of spare time in his quest to save all of Hyrule; he writes. He writes in hopes he'll never forget again.

He was a knight. It was not his job to feel. The day for grieving would come, but for now this one night, one day of mourning was the only reprieve he would allow himself.
