What if Dark Link wasn't made by Ganondorf? What does the dead tree have to do with it? What if Link's subconscious created it?

This is a one shot that i posted in two parts detailing a perilous mission undertaken by the Hyrulean Black Berets special forces in a courageous effort to rescue King Daphnes Nohansen's own daughter from the clutches of the evil Gerudo. Can Captain Link Forester lead his unit to victory and rescue the princess or will this prove to be their final mission?

Released from his duty as the Goddesses' villain, Ganondorf sets out to enjoy his freedom. After crossing the border to Praelar, he stumbles over a ruined inn - and a tiny thief who has lost everything but refuses to give up. - This sidestory takes place between chapter one and two of 'Who wants to fight forever', telling the story of how Ganondorf and Rabo met.

Sixteen years after the Invasion of Twilight, a teenage girl begins her own adventure. It is a whirlwind of revolution, magic, questions of good and evil, connecting with her long-lost father, and forming an unlikely partnership in order to save Hyrule from peril - but as she walks along the edge of darkness to do this, she risks being consumed by it.

Link has lived all his life in Skyloft. Nothing ever changed. A couple fights with Groose here and there, a crush on Zelda, all of that was normal. Nothing abnormal could ever happen, even if Link was having strange dreams... right?
