Phantom Fan 21: And this story is going through what some of my stories started going through. Lots of Fans, lots of Followers, very little reviews. I don't want to vent, but I would like to see more reviews and more than Guest Reviewers! Khy Dragon and AnimeGoji91 are not enough to continue and I just started this story! Heck, I ask a question in my first chapter, and no one answers it. You guys got to remember since I join Fanfiction, I'm very used to seeing lots of Reviews on top of Fans and Followers, so seeing reviews in the low numbers with everything else being in the high numbers does not tell me that you guys like it. I'm trying not to make a big deal out of it, but sometimes the lack of reviews, no matter how long it has been, gets kind of upsetting for me. And I know some of you don't review at all, and you gave me your reasons, which is why I'm not too upset at the lack of reviews. But I do want to see more than one to two reviews. At least, tell me what you think so far.

Night time,

After a long day, and making sure Tucker keeps quiet about Giga, the three friends, as well as the Fenton, headed for the hotel they stay in each summer. The owner knew them very well and always had rooms ready for them. Since they had extra guests, he had Jazz and Sam share a room as well as Danny and Tucker. They had dinner before heading to their rooms.

"Come on, dude!" Tucker whined after the door was shut.

"No. I don't care how big she is, we're not going to show her off to greedy people that want to buy her and use her as something to make more money. I save her from those people ten years ago and I'm not about to turn into one of them!" Danny said, crossing his arm.

"I wasn't going to sell her," Tucker whispers, but Danny heard it.

"Tucker!" Danny warned.

Tucker was his best friend, but sometimes the dark-skin boy could get a little money happy. Both Danny and Sam have to be the boy back to Earth by pointing out the flaws and stopping him from doing it altogether.

"Fine! I drop the whole thing." Tucker said, pouting.

Tucker has been trying to convince his friends to at least show Giga off, but they were having none of it. Danny walks over to the window and looks out into the sea. He then spotted a figure sitting on a rock, trying to keep herself from getting seen. He smiles before it dove underwater.

"So, Danny?" Tucker asked, drawing his attention away from the window.

"What was it like meeting a mermaid for the first time?" He asked.

"From ten years ago? Surprising and a bit scary. However, her people thought of us as some kind of monster. Saying humans have claws and fangs and their skin as dry as the sun." Danny said, confusing Tucker.

"Wha?" He asked, shocked.

"Yeah, made no sense to me either," Danny said, remembering how he felt Giga's hands on his face.

"She was different than what I heard. While she does fit some things that the stories said, she doesn't fit all of them." Danny said, remembering the first kiss he got.

Sure, he was only four years old, so he had no idea the time. Now that he thought about it when he got older, he realizes that he had his first kiss taken from a Mermaid. Though he doubt Giga understood what it meant. After all, she was giving him the ability to breathe underwater for a few hours. Still, the kiss was a surprise.

"Hello! Earth to Danny!"

Danny snaps from his thoughts as Tucker tried calling him.

"Sorry, Tuck. Got a little lost in my memories." Danny said, sheepishly.

Tucker could only stare at his friend, noticing that his friend blushing when he was calling for him.

'Oh Boy! I'm glad Sam isn't here to see this. Who knows what she'll try to do if she finds out that Danny has a crush on a mermaid ten times his size!' Tucker thought.

"So, what do you think of her?" Tucker asked.

"Giga? Well, when I first met her, I thought she was nice, and even if I didn't notice it at the time, very pretty. She sort of dragged me underwater when she wanted to get away from humans. I never blame her for it since the first group of humans she was with wanted to use her to make money." Danny said, smiling.

"Not to mention, I kind of fell asleep on her when she showed me that coral reef." Danny blushed, remembering how warm she felt.

"I see," Tucker said.

"Course, she was much smaller back then. Maybe around the size that Jazz is right now." Danny added.

"So, seeing her again after all this time much be a great shock to you," Tucker asked.

"Like you wouldn't believe. Danny said, still smiling.

Tucker then sighs and decides to tell Danny what he thought.

"Danny, are you sure you're not crushing on her?" He asked.

"Crushing? Tucker, you saw how big she was." Danny asked, confused.

'Clueless.' Tucker thought, shaking his head.

"I mean, are you sure that you like her more than a friend?" Tucker clear up.

Danny blinks before catching what he was asking.

"Err, Well, I, um," Danny shutter, blushing.

"Dude!" Tucker asked, shocked.

"Look, she's one of my first friends, besides you and Sam. Plus, we're here for the summer. I'm sure that she found someone already." Danny said, turning away.

However, the minute he said those words, he felt sad about it. He knew that both he and Giga were two different species, and her huge size would make it hard for anything. Plus, how can he take a mermaid out on a date?

'Maybe I'm overthinking this. I better get some sleep. I can figure this out in the morning.' He thought, getting ready for bed.

Meanwhile, under the sea,

Giga swims around the sea thinking back to how she held Danny for the first time in years. Sure, she was much smaller then, but she miss being able to touch someone without worrying about hurting them. She then thought back to her first kiss. She knew she was trying to help Danny breathe underwater, but she spotted other humans doing the same after hearing some of them saying I love you to each other. But when she thought about it, Danny was still young, so he probably had no idea what she was doing. And neither did she when she first did it. Still, kissing a human was nice.

She shook her head. She needs to get back to the palace. She has to make sure her people don't go after him or his family. She swam until a giant coral that had its holes turned into windows and a few others as openings for mermaids to swim in and out of. She use to be able to enter the palace, but her new size stopped her. She was almost as big as the palace, just a fin smaller.

"My queen." A mermaid said, swimming up to her.

"How was your swim?" She asked.

"It was fine. A group of humans enter the shark's territory and I dove them off. You know how sharks are. I'm just glad they're not that White Bellies." Giga said.

"Humans? Out at sea?" The Mermaid asked.

"It is what the humans call summer. It's also the only time we see a lot of them. Most come to the shoreline to enjoy the sun and some even swim." Giga said, having been trying to paint the humans in a good light.

"I still don't like it, my queen. What were humans doing out here?" The Mermaid asked.

"I found them around the coral reef and they started to head back to the shoreline. However, they row the wrong way and the sharks knocked them underwater. And you all know that despite how much you hate humans, leaving them to the mercy of sharks is a bad idea!" Giga said, placing her hands on her hips.

The mermaid looks away. Sharks were one of their greatest enemies and they lost a few people to them. They also knew that sharks mistake some humans for food, and even they would not risk a human death to them.

"They didn't see you?" The Mermaid asked.

"I might be giant size, but I do know how to keep myself hidden. They were able to make it to shore safely." Giga said, twisting her story a bit.

She knew if they found out she was the one that help back to shore, it could get messy.

"I see you still haven't learned your lesson."

Giga turns and saw her old caretaker. She was older than most mermaids, her tail fin had a bite mark on it and a few scars over her body from humans.

"When will you learn that humans are nothing but selfish creatures that care for themselves?" She said.

"Please, Claria, it's been 400 years. Humans have changed since then. Most of them think we're just a myth." Giga sighs.

The Old Mermaid scoffs and grumbles to herself.

"Humans are nothing more than monsters that deserve then place on the lands. The old queen wouldn't waste her time trying to..."

"CLARIA!" Giga shouted, not wanting to go through that again.

"Times are changing, and we can't keep living in the past!" She said, causing the Old Mermaid to sigh.

"And what of the boy?" She asked, shocking Giga.

"W-W-What?" She asked, shocked.

"I may be old, but I'm not stupid. I saw you with the human boy ten years ago. I saw you kiss him." The old mermaid said, causing Giga to become worried.

"Wait, kiss?" The Mermaid asked.

"She gave him the breathe kiss." The Old Mermaid said.

"WHAT?!" The Mermaid shouted, causing the others to stop what they were doing.

"My Queen! Please tell me is not true!" She asked.

"She's not going to answer because it is true. And I was there when the sharks attacked them. I agree leaving them to the Sharks is the worst fate than anything, but I saw how friendly you were to one of them. The one you were speaking to looks just like the boy you kissed." The Old Mermaid said.

"You followed me?!" Giga asked, worried.

"I have been since day one. You disappoint your mother." The old Mermaid said.

"But Danny is not like the others..." Giga started.

"Danny?" One of the Mermaids said, confused.

Giga curses herself for the slip of the tongue before she decides to tell the truth.

"He was the boy that freed me from the humans that capture me. He was young, about four in human years. He told me that we were wrong about humans and..." Giga started.

"WRONG ABOUT HUMANS?!" The Old Mermaid shouted.

"Yes! He didn't have claws or fangs!" Giga shouted back.

"Are you insane!? He's a human!" The Old Mermaid shouted.

"He's not like the others! He cares about me!" Giga said.

"Cares about you?! He's using you!" The Old Mermaid yelled.

"Really? He was trying to convince his friend to drop whatever idea he had about me and told me he was going to stop!" Giga said.

"He told about you to others?!" The Old Mermaid shouted.

"No one believes him! I trust he will keep his friend from saying anything!" Giga told her.

"You can't trust a human..." The old Mermaid said, but Giga was tired of it this.

"ENOUGH! You need to move on! Danny is different from the other humans and I love him!" She shouted.

Suddenly, everything froze. No one moved. Not after hearing what they just heard. Giga slaps her hands over her mouth when she realizes what she just said.

"You...love...him?!" The Old Mermaid said, shocked.

Giga didn't bother trying to explain. She just turns and swims away, not hearing her people calling out to her. Giga swam and swam until she was near the middle of the ocean. She stops before trying not to cry. She couldn't believe what she just said. Yes, she was mad, but she didn't mean to blurt that out. They could go after him and it will be her fault.

"Why? Why can't everyone see that humans are not the same as they were years ago?" Giga asked.

Even since Danny recused her, she has been studying humans differently. While some were looking for her people, she heard that most just wanted to show proof they were real and didn't bother trying to catch them. Lots of the humans didn't believe in her kind and passed it off as a story or a myth. Everything that was said about the humans was different than the first time they started to sail the seas. Danny was different then what she was told.

"Oh my, what do we have here?"

Giga looks around, hearing a voice.

"Don't be scared, my dear. I heard everything that you and your people argue about. I wish to help you."

"Who there? Where are you?" Giga asked.

"Here, follow the light. It will lead you towards me. Then we can talk face to face."

Giga saw a ball of light appear in front of her before it started to move away. Though confused, Giga started to follow it, wondering who was talking to her.

And done. So, Danny convinces Tucker (somewhat) to give him his idea on using Giga, and Giga accidentally blurts out her feelings. Though, I should state that Giga is still trying to understand her feelings and Danny's not sure how he feels about her yet. Giga will meet the Siren Queen in the next chapter, but I need to know something first. I've been borrowing a few things from Disney's The Little Mermaid, and I want to know if I should have the Siren Queen sing Poor Unfortunate Souls? I need an answer for this before I work on the next chapter. I need at less three answers before Thursday. If I don't see any reviews that are not just from Guest Reviewers, then I'm not writing another chapter until I see those reviews go up. I need other people besides the two guests to review. And PLEASE answer my first question from Chapter One!
