The moment the project was announced, Weiss wasted no time running up to the one she wanted to partner up with on this said project, someone she would, under normal circumstances, never consider as a partner on any said project.
But this was physics class, the one she unfortunately wasn't doing so well in, so the one person in this class who was absolutely killing it at this specific subject, the person whom she never voluntarily work with unless the situation had become truly desperate.
And in this case it had indeed gotten desperate. She needed to pass this class.
And as such she turned to Jaune Arc.
She did fast as well. Jaune was without a doubt the best physics student in the class so everyone would come to him like moths to a flame the moment the project was announced. Weiss did have a clever trick of her sleeve, making use of the one thing she had going for her.
That being Jaune's massive crush on her.
It was no secret that the young warrior and physics prodigy was infatuated with her, considering the serenade he sung for her outside the classroom. The man had no shame in that, Weiss was both embarrassed and flattered at that moment, rejected him as she had done multiple times and went on with her day. Part of her thought it was a sweet gesture and the other part of her hoped he would never again play a single note of any instrument known to man.
But alas when the project was announced she immediately grabbed her chance and went to him with a very simple question to the man.
"Hey Jaune, would you like to be my partner on this project."
And that was all it took, Weiss had never seen a man say "YES" so quickly. She smiled to herself, it was too easy, of course she made it clear that there was to be no serenading of any kind, a condition he obviously agreed to.
So when Weiss came home with her new working partner she was in quite high spirits. Not only did she get the perfect help to pass this project, but without her father (whom was in hiding because of accusations of fraud) not around to mess things up as per usual.
As soon as they entered her mansion of a home Jaune was immediately taken aback by the sheer size of just the entry hall itself.
"Impressed big boy" Weiss said smugly.
"Well obviously. Your entry hall is bigger than my living room."
Oh he was a doofus, but part of that was what Weiss found somewhat endearing about him. As they slowly walked up the stairs towards her room, they were soon stopped and greeted by the sight of someone else.
"Hello daughter, and who might this be?" the woman asked.
Jaune eyed the woman up and down, apparently Weiss' mother, she looked like an older version of her mother, still good looking despite her age. Tall and slender with the same beautiful hair as her daughter.
"Mother, this is Jaune. He is my partner on our physics project" Weiss said as cordially as always.
Jaune immediately put on his polite smile and extended his hand to the woman "nice to meet you miss Schnee, my name is Jaune" he said with a polite tone.
"Nice to meet you Jaune," she replied shaking the boy's hand "and please just call me Willow."
She was eying Jaune up and down, the boy didn't really notice the older woman's eyes going all over his form, a small glimmer in her eyes.
"Come on Jaune we need to get started on the project!" Weiss half demanded. Jaune immediately turned to her as she walked up the stairs and followed her, waving Willow goodbye as she gave the boy one last good look over, biting her lip as she did.
