Bucky didn't understand the concept of a coffee house giving away free coffee. From what he remembered, hardly anything in Brooklyn was given away for free when he lived there. And why wasn't the coffee house girl frightened by him when he struck fear in some of the most competent SHIELD agents? Learning to be Bucky Barnes again, he wasn't prepared for the curious coffee girl.

Steve, not coping with the death of his best friend, searches for the answers; traveling deep into a war zone with little more than the clothes on his back, stolen boots, and a beaten stage helmet to bring his best man home. Oh yeah, he makes a few friends along the way too.

Steve died the way he lived; kicking and clawing with blood and pain and fight. Steve died in the arms of his first love, shaking and trembling with vomit on his chin and his skinny legs violently pulling on the soiled sheets. Bucky stands emotionless, only to pull the trigger and empty the gun of another bullet into Steve's chest.
