[2 Years Later]
All I feel is the gentle breeze blowing against my sweaty skin, and as I open my eyes the first thing that greets me is the beautiful image of the shining moon high in the night sky, and as I focus on my surroundings the first thing that I hear are the waves crashing against the side of hardwood.
I am currently lying on my back and as I sit up, I suddenly feel the weight of two soft mountains rest upon my shoulder followed by a sultry voice whispering to me in the ear , "Why are you out here honey? Come the bed is lonely without you."
As I hear this I smile and again thank whatever god for giving me this opportunity to live in this dangerous and beautiful world.
I then stand up, reach behind me, grab a hold of two round objects, and continue into an open door where not long after all you could hear are loud feminine moans.
And in order for everyone to understand how I got here you must understand what transpired during these past two years.
[4 Month After Arrival]
I suddenly open my eyes and what greets me is the bland ceiling of a run down shack in the morning, this is the ceiling that I have been waking up to for a few months now, and the reason for that is that after I learned all I need to in order to prepare for the future I decided to stay on this island for some time in order to train and get accustomed to my new powers.
The main reason for this being that I just recently found out that when I believed myself to be somewhat capable in this world and being at least able to defend myself, I got a hard reality check, by none other than an old man.
Yeah about a few days after my arrival when I was drinking with some of the villagers in the local pub, I got a bit drunk and began loudly boasting about my strength and how I could likely defend against any pirate attacks in the future if I see them coming.
This innocent boast eventually escalated into a brawl outside when the old man, the village chief overheard what I was boasting about and replied with deep emotion, "Young man I think you should not say that so confidently, I have seen many young men like you go out to sea or standing up to trouble when in the end they don't have the strength to back up what they are preaching, and they most usually than not end up dead."
When I heard this from the old man I was perplexed because this old man knows what I can do…after all I did freeze all of them the first time I met them, and at that time I could have easily beaten all of them very easily, so I know he knows what I'm capable of, so I quickly reply back: "What do y-you mean o-ld man, y-you've s-een my strength first h-and, o-of course I can d-do it!"
Hearing this he laughs a bit then explains to me that I was only able to capture them all because of the element of surprise and that now due to knowing of my abilities he will not fall to me again.
I was surprised by this bold statement because while I understand that the element of surprise is important for my powers to have the maximum benefit, I was still sure that I could easily win against this old man, even if he did know of my abilities.
One thing led to another and no longer than 5 minutes later I'm feeling like one large bruise and laying on my ass, as the old village chief stands above me in a clear manner that indicates that he won our bout.
What simply happened during our confrontation was that I began to fire off many slow-slow beams at the old man, and he somehow kept on dodging it, he moved just as I was about to fire, this kept on happening and it was annoying so I started using my more dangerous slow-star beam, and again, even with the new speed of projectile he was still able to easily predict where it would hit and dodge it with relative ease.
I was kind of aggravated at that point, so I decided to go all out, and started using both hands, one with the slow-slow beam and the other with the slow-star beam, and alternating between them, yet even then, he dodged it relatively easily.
After a while it appeared that he was tired of playing around, so he simply ran towards me with speed that I didn't know was possible and knocked me out with a simple fist strike.
When I woke up, I was laying on the dirty ground a few meters away from where I was previously standing and asked what happened, and he told me that I lost.
I was very confused at first and thought that this old village chief somehow knew observation Haki or something, but when I asked how he dodged all of my beams he simply said two things to me, hand movements, and lip movements.
He also mentioned something about me being as slow and strong as a 12-year-old child or something, which I chose to ignore for the moment because after I lost It was like my world view expanded a tiny bit, and I realized that this old man was right … I wasn't strong.
And that is the moment that I decided that from now on I would train seriously in order to git gud.
Chapter 11
That's how my first 4 months in this world began. After that humiliating and eye-opening defeat at the hands of an old man I finally realized that I wasn't really strong, and apparently, I was actually extremely weak.
For some reason this 15-year-old body that is superior to my previous body is considered as weak as a 12-year-old child or below in this world.
This didn't really make sense to me but no matter how much I hypothesized why this body is so weak, in the end it didn't really matter. After that day I began to exercise extensively.
At first it was 1-2 hours of basic exercises, pushups, pullups, running, crunches, squats, planks, anything that I could think of I performed.
This was really hard for me at first, and I believe that the reason for my struggle is because I clearly had a normal physique that's comparable to someone from my original world, not from the one-piece world.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of weak people, even weaker than me in this world, but those people are clearly out of shape and as weak as a toddler and have clearly never exercised in their entire lives; but there are also plenty of normal looking people, who can lift boulders and shit and make it seem like its nothing.
An obvious example of this would be Ace, Luffy and Sabo, those three were jungle dwellers, they basically lived in the wild, and due to that they became superhumanly strong at a very young age.
All that this means is that anyone can get superhumanly strong with a little bit of work, and that is exactly what happened to me as well.
After a week of basic training, I started rapidly increasing my strength, and with this motivating factor I kept on pushing myself more and more.
Now every day I do around 6-8 hours of physical training from weighted down pushups to bench pressing tree trunks, and even following in Zoro's footsteps and doing cable crossovers with heavy rocks and boulders.
All of this work really paid off and now I can be considered superhuman…from my past world standards…not so much in this world, but eh whatever.
Now in these four months I didn't just work on building up muscle strength, I also started working on my devil fruit some more and trying to use it in creative ways, I even tried using the slow energy inside my body but with very limited success so far, but I did create a few more patterns with my slow disks.
I created many patterns ranging from a simple Criss-cross pattern to a more intricate snowflake pattern…but most of the more intricate patterns aren't battle ready just yet, it takes me about 5-10 seconds of constant concentration to create the mental image of the pattern and implement it, way too long for battles.
The most important advancement however that I made for the devil fruit is I finally figured out how to shoot beams from anywhere on my body, not just my hands, and I no longer have to make silly patterns to make them work.
There was a very simple but easy to overlook method that I found, as that is simple intense concentration of the area, and then looking for the slow energy that naturally permeates my body, and then working from there.
Now some of you may wonder how that is easy to overlook, and my answer has two simple parts, firstly you need to focus on a certain area of your body like when you focus on your breathing when you meditate; and to people who have tried to meditate know that it's not the easiest thing to do for a long period of time, especially when you are moving around and simultaneously paying attention to the environment and incoming attacks.
The second factor is knowing how to feel the energy in the body, because let me tell you, its not easy to feel.
After these four months I barely even grasped the feeling of this energy and I'm sure it would have taken me a long time to notice if I hadn't noticed it the first time I used it.
This leads me to believe that in the anime the reason Foxy had to use those hand gestures was because he either didn't know how to meditate and he's never tried it…which I am almost 100% sure he hasn't.
And or he was unaware that he had and could interact with the slow energy in his body.
Overall, this is my most important improvement because this gives me a lot of opportunities that I might not have had otherwise, just imagining shooting purple laser disks out of my eyes and freezing people… so cool.
I still can't manipulate the energy freely how I would like, and can still only create disks, but I'm sure Ill be able to do it in the future.
And finally, the thing that I am currently working on the most is trying to learn the Rokushiki techniques.
And I am mainly focusing on 2 out of the 6, the Finger Pistol which I practice by doing one finger push ups and trying to poke through dirt and hard ground at my fastest speed (let me tell you it sounds a lot easier than it actually is) as well as the Shave technique, which happens when you kick off the ground 10 times in the blink of an eye, which I believe to be less than half a second.
And let me tell you, it's not easy, now It's obviously not impossible because this is the One Piece world, but let me summarize my progress with this technique in one word: NOTHING…
Yeah, I still have a long way to go.
Chapter 12
[6 Months After Arrival]
It's been another 2 months that I've spent on Lily Island working my butt off and I can confidently say that I am the strongest person on this island… which isn't really a high bar since my only competition was the village chief and some middle-aged men with beer bellies but… Yeah you get the gist…I'm the strongest!
Okay anyways, in these 6 months I have learned a lot and accomplished a lot.
I now know more about the world and how it works. I also learned some basic skills that most people know in this world, which is basic navigation, learning how to man a boat, fishing, and mostly anything to do with the sea.
The main reason everyone knows how to do these things, even if they are simple civilians, is because like 99% of the world are islands and almost everything in daily life involves the sea in some way.
I also learned some simple but unique things like some common effects of commonly found flowers in the West Blue, as well as how to grow them if I wanted to.
Overall, these last 6 months have been the hardest in my whole life but also the greatest, now I am preparing to leave this tiny island behind and adventure into the larger world.
I was currently in my shack packing up all of my possessions, which isn't much, just some clothes, a compass, a map of the West Blue and a few books that I own.
And just as I was about to open the door, I hear a *Knock Knock* coming from it.
I quickly open it and come face to face with a beautiful woman with a slim figure, an awesome pair of tits, shiny blue hair, and a slightly elongated nose which does not even come close to ruining her beauty.
All of her beautiful features are also emphasized by her somewhat revealing red jumpsuit which shows just the right amount of skin in order to be considered provocative.
This is someone that I have been interacting with and gotten very close to in the last 6 months, the now dead Foxies most loyal subordinate and my now traveling companion, Porche.
Once she sees me, she quickly smiles and rushes to give me a tight hug while saying, "oh Cade-kun, are you ready to depart?"
…
That's right, my name is now Cade, I actually got it from some of the villagers that were comparing me to a ghost due to my sudden arrival at the island, with no ships in site or anything to prove that I actually arrived here; and going with the simple idea I decided to just name myself Cade. (It means Ghost in Welsh)
…
I quickly wrap my own arms around her and reply with a smile, "of course Porche-chan, I'm tired of seeing so many flowers all day after all."
When she hears this Porche makes a mock angry expression and replies," Cade-kun what do you mean you're tired of seeing flowers all day! DO you not want me to come along with you?!"
At this I laugh because Porche is someone that is playfully bratty most of the time with me but is actually quite serious in most other situations.
I don't really know if that was how her canon self was like, but due to losing her boss right in front of her she became a lot colder towards most things in this life. I guess the term people would use to describe her is a cold beauty, even though she isn't that cold.
Anyways, once we finished packing up, we quickly arrived at the town port and what greeted us were a large number of people, who were all smiling and giving us goodbyes and such.
The main reason that we are getting a sendoff is because during our stay here Porche and I became the main fighting force in defending this small village from pirate raids or fights and therefore less resources were used in order fend off any aggressors which subsequently improved the economy a bit; and yes I said us, during our time together Porche also became motivated to get stronger and therefore when she saw me running around the village and working hard in my pursuit of power she decided to join me.
She was initially very weak, relying on her baton and a few easy to see through tricks, like smoke screens, in order to defend herself, but over the course of these months she has become a lot stronger.
In certain things she even worked harder than I did like her flexibility as well as mastering the paper arts from the Rokushiki, and yes, she somehow mastered Kami-e, which is actually a very impressive feat, since it usually takes people years in order to master 1 of the 6 Rokushiki.
I myself have not mastered even 1 of the Rokushiki, but I can use a somewhat underpowered Shigan, I can for instance poke a hole through people, but I can't fire off air bullets just yet, and with Shave I have not even been able to use it yet, I am getting closer at 6 stomps per eye-blink but I still have a bit to go in order to even become a novice at using it.
Anyways her main weapons are her trusty baton, smoke and poison pellets that she keeps on her person, and finally rose looking shuriken, she also told me that she wants some kunai to be made, and for her baton to be upgraded in order to have a hidden blade inside.
So yeah, she is apparently leaning quite heavily on kunoichi vibes for some reason, I didn't really ask why since I think it's badass.
Anyways once we got onto our medium sized ship, which we confiscated from some pirates that were stupid enough to cause trouble, we heard a familiar voice speaking from behind us.
"Young'uns It sure was nice to meet you, Porche-chan make sure to take care of that buffoon who kept on overexerting himself too much, and you buffoon-boy make sure you don't cause trouble for Porche-chan."
As I hear this I quickly turn around and smile, it was the old man who gave me a beating the first time we fought and treated me very well even though it was obvious that I wasn't some sort of bounty hunter like I initially claimed.
I reply, "and you, old man, make sure that the village stays safe, and if you're having trouble keeping up in your old age make sure to pass it on to someone strong, I'll be visiting again in a few years to see how everyone's doing, see ya."
Porche then says, "Chief-Sama I'll make sure that Cade-kun doesn't do anything over his head, take care"
With those final goodbyes we raise the anchor, lower the sail, and look towards the horizon for our new adventure.
