"Brittany, I'm seriously starting to question your taste in music," Santana whispered.

"This is a classic," Brittany replied.

"Not very appropriate for the moment. Don't you have a sexy time playlist?"

"I was distracted. I have a goddess in front of me waiting for me to sink my fingers inside of her," Brittany said, kissing her wife deeply.

Brittany entered her wife and relished in her soft moans. She built her up slowly.

"Damn baby, you're so beautiful," Brittany exhaled, feeling her wife flutter around her as she curled.

"So are you, mi amor," Santana sighed.

Brittany made love to her wife slowly, loving the feeling of Santana softly rubbing her back as she closed her eyes and her head fell back against the headboard..

Mmmbop,

ba duba dop

Ba du bop,

ba duba dop

Ba du bop,

ba duba dop

Ba du, oh yeah

Mmmbop, ba duba dop

Ba du bop, ba du dop

Ba du bop, ba du dop

Ba du, yeah

Santana opened her eyes.

"Brittany, are you singing 'Mmm bop' while you finger fuck me?" Santana asked, shocked.

"Sorry babe, you have to admit, it's a catchy tune."

"You need a sexy time playlist, Brittany," Santana rolled her eyes.

"I'm not used to having to put music on before we have strawberry ice cream, sorry."

"Yeah, well we have a little houseguest now, and I absolutely refuse to get caught having strawberry ice cream by a kid. Now you have minors singing to me while we have sex. You're totally killing my vibe here."

"They're not minors anymore, San. They're grown men now."

"Yeah well they weren't men then, they were adorable, well maybe not that old one but that middle one was precious and the kid on the drums was super cute."

"You're being ridiculous Santana."

"Britt, I have no idea how parents do this, and now all I can think about is all of those years ago when Cuban music was blaring through our house my father was probably deflowering my mother."

"I'm pretty sure that flower had bloomed years before you were hearing that music."

Santana laughed, "Bad choice of words. I guess talking about the possibility of Sugar catching us and us totally ruining her innocence has me thinking of all things virginal."

"I'm sorry Santana."

"It's okay Britt. I promise, just give me a little time, I'll figure it out."

Brittany kissed her wife and then pulled her into her arms. Santana just smiled and began to sing.

Can you tell me?

Oh No, you can't 'cause you don't know

Can you tell me?

You say you can but you don't know

Can you tell me? Oh (which flower's going to grow?)

No, you can't 'cause you don't know

Brittany laughed and joined in.

Can you tell me? (if it's going to be a daisy or a rose?)

You say you can but you don't know

Can you tell me? Oh (which flower's going to grow?)

No, you can't 'cause you don't know

Can you tell me?

You say you can but you don't know

Oh oh You say you can but you don't know

You don't know, You don't know, oh

"I love you, Santana."

"I love you too Britt," Santana laughed. "And you're right, this damn song is super catchy."

The next morning as the three ladies sat at the breakfast table eating Santana and Brittany smiled softly at each other as they sipped their coffee.

Mmmbop,

ba duba dop

Ba du bop,

ba duba dop

Ba du bop,

ba duba dop

Ba du, oh yeah

Mmmbop,

ba duba dop

Ba du bop,

ba du dop

Ba du bop,

ba du dop

Ba du, yeah

Santana's eyes widened as Brittany tried not to spit out her coffee in surprise.

"Whatcha singing, squirt?" Brittany asked casually.

"Heard it playing last night when I got up to go to the bathroom. I like it when you guys play music. Reminds me of when I leave the radio on for Francis. I like sleeping with the radio at home. The noises get scary late at night when it's just me and Francis. It's not scary when it's quiet here, though."

"Glad you like it, kid."

"You guys play music a lot huh?" Sugar asked.

"I try and play every night but sometimes Santana won't let me." Brittany said with a straight face. Santana kicked her under the table.

"You should let her play it Santana, it's nice." Sugar said.

"See Santana, you need to let me play..." Brittany smiled.

"Keep it up and it'll be a long time before music plays in that room again," Santana glared, her cheeks heating up. "By the way, no ganging up on me."

Sugar and Brittany just smiled, giving each other a high five across the table.

That was life in the Lopez-Pierce home during Sugar's initial stay, and everybody seemed to really enjoy life that way.

Time is a funny thing. It goes by so slowly sometimes, and a week later you can feel like it all went by so quickly. From the time Sugar came to live with Santana and Brittany it felt like time was moving at warp speed. Sugar settled in quickly, and Santana loved watching her and Brittany together. Secretly Brittany loved coming home to having Sugar in the house, well that is, after they adjusted to learning how to have sexy time with a kid in the house. She totally understood why Danny's love life disappeared in the apartment once Brittany moved in, especially since they had a small one bedroom with thin walls. Thankfully at least she and Santana have a two bedroom with decent walls, and a really good stereo system. Brittany has learned one thing about their future journey into motherhood, she is soundproofing her bedroom, and probably getting a deadbolt on the bedroom door. Santana is constantly asking Brittany if she remembered to lock it before sexy time.

Santana had a different stress level about it all, since she was now convinced that she knew exactly when Isabella and Juan were having sexy time, which is whenever the Cuban music blared through the house. So the stereo system is kind of a trigger for her now. Still, after a little time the ladies settled into temporary motherhood, and sexy time returned pretty much to normal.

Sugar had been with them for 2 weeks before Jenny was let out of detox to begin her 28 days of inpatient treatment. She would call and speak to Sugar on the phone as often as she was allowed. Once she began her 28 days there were the weekly family visits they had. It was more like a day of family therapy, with many activities they planned to begin healing the bonds that were broken during addiction. Brittany and Santana brought Sugar each week just as they promised Jenny that they would. Jenny was happy to see her daughter happy and thriving, and Sugar was thrilled to see her mother looking so well. So were Santana and Brittany. Both women knew that there was a huge chance that the woman would relapse, especially in her first year of sobriety, but Santana would make sure that the agency she was working with gave her every tool she needed to succeed. She may not be able to handle her case, but she could make sure that the woman who was handling it was making all of the right moves for Jenny. So far they had gotten her into detox and and inpatient treatment. They had gotten financial assistance so that she doesn't lose her apartment while she is away getting help. As soon as she gets home they will do a job assessment with her. Jenny was getting more comfortable with Santana with every visit as Santana explained the process to her. She felt safe with her. She felt like she could actually do this. When she expressed to Santana her concerns that while working an average job she would never be able to make the kind of money she made working at the strip club Santana reminded her that most of that money went to feed her habit, and without a habit to feed she would be just fine. Then she reminded her that stripping jobs are time sensitive. There are no old strippers. She needed a job and hopefully, eventually, a career.

Meantime, Santana wanted to make up for lost time and give Sugar a childhood. The weekend trip to Miami was nice, but they had no time to take Sugar out and really do anything really special. They also learned during that time that Sugar couldn't swim and so they arranged lessons for her on the weekends. They decided that as soon as Luciana's wedding was over they would take her to Orlando to meet Brittany's class and to see what she does. Then Brittany would get her wish and surprise Sugar with a trip to Disneyland.

Santana loved seeing it. Brittany was going to be a great mom. Her heart fluttered every time she would walk through the door and Brittany would be sitting on the couch with Sugar watching tv or playing some game on the living room floor with her. They had a special relationship, and Sugar loved the other people in their lives as well. Uncle Danny would come over and tell her tales about young Tink. Luciana would invite them to the restaurant to introduce the girl to fine dining and she would allow her into the kitchen after hours and show her how to make simple things. Santana and Brittany also teach her how to cook, and they take her places every chance they get. While both women worked like crazy it was funny how they made the time to care for Sugar. The excuse for them putting off the arrival of baby Lopez-Pierce was losing it's validity quickly.

Brittany felt as if Santana was going to be the greatest mom ever as well. She would sit and help Sugar with her homework. She would pick Sugar up from school and take her to the center with her, where she had created an "office" for Sugar as well. It was really just a storage room right next to her office but it was the only space that Santana could spare at the center. They cleared it out and moved everything elsewhere, and Santana took Sugar to the store so they could decorate it. Sugar hung posters and put the framed picture of her and her mom on the small desk Santana had bought her. On the opposite side she had a picture of Santana and Brittany with her in Miami. The final picture was of her and Lord Tubbington, who was trying to hate her but he kind of loved her. Brittany could tell because he will sometimes sit with her as she reads to Francis, listening and pretending that he hates it all, at the same time curling up close to Sugar. Sure, her living there stole away one of his favorite hiding places in the world but he seems to be adjusting to it. That makes Brittany happy, since Lord Tubbington was getting old, and she wants his remaining time here to be a happy time. Maybe Sugar makes him feel young again. Maybe she gives him someone to be shitty to and secretly protective of like he had been with a young Brittany, the girl that plucked him out of an alley and convinced the giant guy to let him live with them in their crappy apartment.

Santana would leave Valentina's Place and head over to the school, grab Sugar, and set her up in her office where she would have her after school snack and do homework as her small radio played softly. Sometimes she would sing along so horribly Santana's eyes would squint and she couldn't help but sneak a video to send to Brittany, who would watch it at work and howl with laughter.

When Luciana's wedding came the ladies took Sugar dress shopping and she felt like a princess going to the fancy wedding. She stayed and danced with them and ate so much delicious food she thought she would burst. She finally got to meet Brooke and Erik and she was especially happy to see how good Brooke looked, since Brittany had told her that Brooke used to get sick the same way that Jenny did. She looked great, and so did Jenny during their visits to the rehab facility. Brooke and Brittany gave Sugar hope.

Nobody could convince Sugar that Santana wasn't rich. She had seen her home as a child, her room, they had a swimming pool for goodness sakes. To her Santana was fancy, like the women she reads about in her books who make a big deal out of going out and drinking tea. She likes that her and Brittany are together. Somehow it seems balanced.

Since Santana was the maid of honor and had so many duties she spent a lot of time with Brittany that weekend, but she also spent a lot of time at the Lopez estate. Isabella and Juan wanted the ladies to enjoy the weekend fully, and so Sugar spent a lot of time with Juan and Isabella. When they were busy she stayed with the housekeeper. They all liked the kid. Juan even joked that Sugar may work for the FBI. She asks a lot of questions. She wanted to know all about Santana growing up in that big house. What did Santana like to do as a kid? Where did she go to school? Everything Santana she wanted to know. Juan said it was clear how much she looked up to Santana. Santana's heart nearly burst.

Luciana and Quinn's bachelorette party and wedding were amazing. The wedding was huge. While Santana had walked away from Miami, Luciana had a life there for many years, and with many years came many friends not to mention a bunch of people from both sides of her family. Maria also made an appearance, where she once again thanked Santana for naming the center after her daughter, and slipped her another sizeable check to help sustain it. Quinn only had a few friends there, of course with Imani being her maid of honor. Juan Lopez walked Quinn down the aisle, having been the only father figure she's had since the day he plucked her out of a hotel lobby as she scammed old men out of their travel money. He got her out of that life, and because of him she met her wife, and so she could think of no one else who was fit to give her away to her bride. She had asked Santana if she minded, and of course she didn't, and so it was that moment where Santana realized that she really did have another sister in her life. Not only was this woman marrying her best friend, she had a special relationship with her father. Quinn looked classically beautiful, like a movie star, and Luciana's brown skin against the beautiful white dress she wore was stunning. Santana couldn't help but cry and once they had gotten the couple off on their honeymoon the rest of the days they had set aside to show Sugar a good time. She would miss 2 days of school, but they had asked Jenny's permission to allow her to do so, even though they were her temporary guardians and had the right to make the decision themselves. All of the adults felt like even though this was fun, there was an educational component to it. Brittany wanted Sugar to see her with Mrs. Johnson's class. She wanted Sugar to see the places she told he so much about. She wanted Sugar to know that she was telling her the truth, and the usually sunny weather didn't change the fact that she grew up in what some would consider even worse conditions than Sugar had. Before she took her to the classroom she truly sat and shared her story with Sugar, complete with pictures, pictures Brittany once had a hard time looking at. The pictures strengthened their bond, and helped Brittany to heal old wounds. She could look at these pictures now, because she knows why she went through it all. It was for these kids, the next generation that she suffered and made it to show them that they could too. If even one of them inspires the next generation once they make it, then it will all have been worth it.

Sugar loved everything about the trip, from visiting the kids in the classroom to seeing Brittany's old neighborhood and understanding why she did the things she did for the kids. Someone had rented her and Danny's old apartment and so she could only show Sugar the building but that was enough. She had told Sugar a simple version of how she met Danny and about Mr. Ellison. She wanted the girl to finally truly understand the earlier lessons she had taught her about not hugging people and not allowing them into your home, even if you trust them. It was how she got Sugar to truly understand the self defense lessons that Brittany and Santana began giving her, and why she needed to learn in order to always protect herself. It was then that Sugar finally understood why Brittany wasn't afraid to walk her home that night. Brittany certainly knew how to take care of herself, and as gentle as Santana seemed to her, so did she. She was shocked to learn that Quinn and Luciana also knew how to protect themselves, and it made her eager to learn.

They ended the trip on a high note, the next day visiting Disneyworld. Sugar was awestruck. Her excitement was contagious. She went on so many rides and ate all of the foods that Santana and Brittany try to avoid with her. They let her go crazy in the gift shop and she even purchased mouse ears for her mother as well as a Disneyworld t shirt. She bought herself a new Tinkerbell backpack because it reminded her of Brittany. Tinkerbell is now her favorite character. She will always remind her of Brittany, even if nobody but Danny gets to call her Tink. Only Brittany gets to call her Sugar pie. Only Santana gets to call her Sugar plum. But her favorite is when they call her squirt. That one they share.

Sugar's time with Brittany and Santana went by really fast, and she was sad as it was coming to an end, but happy that her mom was coming home. They had made the promise to her that she could stay with them anytime she wanted and they would arrange it. Santana promised that her "office" at Valentina's place would always be there. She had agreed to allow Sugar to continue to hang out there after school until her mother got home from her training program. Everything was in place.

Jenny did okay for the first couple of weeks, and then Jenny began to struggle. She came really close to relapsing. She had called Pete and just as quickly she had called Santana. Santana quickly called Brittany who rushed to Jenny's apartment. Jenny had called Pete back to change her mind, but she knew he would come by anyway. Even when she didn't have enough money he always found other ways for her to pay him. Jenny really didn't want to do that anymore.

By the time Pete knocked on the door Brittany was already there. Santana had warned Jenny not to answer the door until Brittany called her on the phone. Jenny really didn't want to face Brittany when she was so weak, it's why she called Santana. Looking at Brittany after learning her whole story was like looking at Sugar. Santana was a professional. Santana understood. Sure, she knew that Santana would tell Brittany, but she didn't have to see the pain and judgement in Brittany's eyes. Santana, however, was running a workshop for some of the clients at Val's place, and as much as Jenny's success means to her so does the success of the people who depend on the center to succeed in their own lives. She would only leave them if she had no other choice. Brittany had to leave work, but she was the better choice at the moment.

There was no judgement. As soon as Jenny opened the door Brittany gave her a hug and thanked her for reaching out to them. She told her to forget about the call to Pete and focus on the fact that she instantly tried to correct her mistake. Brittany told her of her mother's many relapses before success, and how happy she was that Jenny was determined not to make that her story. Then she held the woman as she broke down and cried.

When Pete reached the door Jenny stayed deep inside the apartment while Brittany sent him on his way. Thankfully he didn't try to get aggressive, because Brittany would have loved to put him on his ass. He was skeevy as hell, though. Brittany wanted to challenge him, wanted to tell him to stay away, but Santana had warned her that was futile. Jenny had to do this. Jenny had to be strong.

Once he left Brittany helped Jenny find a meeting and went with her. Then they went back to the center to talk to Santana. Santana said she should talk to the social worker who was assigned her case, and that if she was as good as Santana remembered she would recommend a sober living house for her. If she didn't recommend it she told Jenny that maybe she should request it. Jenny ended up in sober living, and Sugar ended up with Santana and Brittany for another 6 months.

It was during the end of Jenny's stay that the ladies decided it was the right time to begin trying for their little Lopez-Pierce. They were already making all of these adjustments by including Sugar in their lives. All they had to do was continue moving a few more pieces around to start the process. Santana was hesitant at first, putting her body through all of those changes with a child in the house, but even she realized she was running out of excuses. Sugar would only be there a few more weeks, her mother's time at the sober living house soon coming to an end. She was just nervous, nervous she would mess up, but Sugar gave her confidence. Sugar made her feel like she could be a good mom, how when she was sad she would curl up with Santana and Santana instantly knew how to love on her until she felt better. Plus, there was an added bonus. Luciana and Quinn were starting their journey. They had been a couple for so long, lived together for so long, they felt like they didn't need a lot of time to begin their family. They had gotten married because they were ready to begin, and after 6 months of being married they felt that the time had come. They wanted to celebrate their first year anniversary by expecting their first child.

Luciana and Santana wanted their kids to be as close as they were as children. They decided to go through this together, just as their mothers had. Luciana got pregnant rather easily. It took Santana an additional two months to get pregnant. Furthermore, they made sure to take measures so that they wouldn't end up using the same donor. They wanted their own individual experiences, and the bond between their children didn't need to be a blood bond. What Luciana and Santana have is stronger than blood, and that would be enough.

Brittany and Santana sat Sugar down and had a talk with her when they made the decision, letting her know that they always had a place for her in their lives and a baby wouldn't change that. She was their family now, and they were her honorary aunties. It soothed the nerves that they knew she was feeling, especially when they said that they would move to a bigger place to have room for her if she ever needed to stay with them again. They were considering it anyway, especially if they were going to have a second child one day.

There was joy and excitement all around as Luciana and Santana experienced their first pregnancies together. Brittany and Quinn were more than excited, as were the Eriksens, the Lopezes or the Rodriguezes. This was a big deal. This was what the two of them had imagined as children, somehow experiencing all of these major milestones together. Somehow, through all of their twists and turns, it was still going to happen that way.

The Eriksens, Lopezes and Rodriguezes planned a huge baby shower for the ladies in Miami. They flew out for the weekend and everyone they could imagine was there. The number of gifts they received was insane, but it still didn't stop the future mothers or grandmothers from shopping constantly for the babies. There was just too much cute stuff out there to pass up. Santana was okay with all of the extra stuff that she and Luciana had gotten. They had agreed that what they didn't save for their next child they would donate to Val's place. Nothing would ever go to waste. Santana would just store all of the stuff at the center so that neither Luciana and Quinn's place or theirs would be overcrowded with things and they would use it as long as they needed. When they were done with it all it would already be at Val's place to be given to the needy.

Ignacio Lopez was as excited as the rest of them about Santana becoming a mother, especially since it would bring Susan back to the states. Their friendship really was one of his favorite things now, and to top it all off Elian had decided to stay in Florida. Juan had a conversation with Danny, who was happy to come to Florida and meet with Juan and Elian. Danny asked Elian how he felt about possibly living in an LGBTQ retirement community. Elian thought it would be a good way to end his life, out of the shadows, embracing his final years within a community near his family. Danny was very familiar with LGBTQ life in Florida and knew who to reach out to in order to find the best retirement communities. He even volunteered to tour them with Elian, Ignacio and Juan. Ignacio insisted on paying all of the costs, just as he had insisted on paying for Elian's health care. Juan paid to fly the man back to Spain and pack up the few things that were most important to him once they found a place he felt comfortable with. Juan also knew who to reach out to get his uncle whatever he needed in order to move to the states legally. He still had some very important connections and he used them to insure his uncle would have all he needed in order to stay in the states.

It didn't take long to find a lovely community with a lake, where he imagined sitting for hours on end and painting to his heart's content. Not to mention quite a few handsome older widowers just like Elian lived there, even some from Cuba who had lived through the same things that he had lived through. After all Miami did have a large Cuban population. This had been the closest thing he's had to Cuba in many years. With his health improving and the intensive physical therapy Ignacio had arranged Elian's prognosis looked good. Danny also spoke to the man about pushing through the tough times, having recovered fully himself at this point. Elian liked the man, and teased that if he were 30 years younger he'd give Blaine a run for his money. Danny had no doubt that Elian had some interesting stories under his belt. He had lived from country to country, buried two husbands and the first love that he never had the chance to marry. Still they had 11 good years together before Alvaro passed away. Danny loved the stories he shared about the things he saw, the things he lived through, the things he overcame. Elian blazed the trail for so many of the gay men that came after him. He stood up and fought the good fight in so many different parts of the world, and now he just wants to find his community and rest these next few years. He's earned it.

Both the Lopez-Pierces and the Fabray-Rodriguezes were frantically getting things ready for their new bundles of joy. Robbie, Danny and Blaine were ready to be uncles and Imani was ready to be an auntie. Even Sugar was excited, having been told that she would be an honorary big sister to both children. That thrilled Sugar, to have family, to have people that Santana and Brittany had told her would look up to her. Jenny had made it through the sober living house and was doing really well. She completed job training and was working at the front desk at one of the hotels for a major hotel chain. She liked it. When sober she had a really engaging personality and hospitality suited her well, She had taken some hospitality courses and she really liked her work, even if the pay wasn't the greatest. It was just a stepping stone. More importantly, it was honest and steady work. It gave her the opportunity to bring her daughter back home. The agency that was working with Jenny had been looking for better housing for her and Sugar while she was in the sober living house and once she had housing Sugar came home to her new room. The agency had gotten Jenny approved for a grant so that she could furnish the place and Santana and Brittany had given Sugar and Jenny a $500 gift card each so that they could get the things that the grant wouldn't cover. Sugar could get anything she wanted for her room and Jenny could get anything she wanted for the rest of the house. Sugar couldn't have been more pleased with her new home and how her new room had turned out.

Robbie had a year long relationship that had gone up in flames just 2 months before Luciana's baby was due, and it was the longest relationship he'd had to date. It also helped Imani see that Robbie was looking for something more. The relationship hadn't ended because of cheating, which was what usually ended Robbie's relationship attempts in his younger years. It had ended because the woman was jealous and insecure, and Robbie found it ironic that he was constantly being accused for being up to something when for the first time in his life he wasn't up to anything. Still, he understood. Men like he used to be had taken away all of her trust, just as he had probably left some women scarred in the same way. He's older now, and he understands the error of his ways. Interesting thing is that once things ended between Robbie and his girlfriend they heated up quickly between he and Imani. Where they both had hesitated in the past, Imani believing he was a serial cheater and Robbie believing that Imani's bisexuality may make her a cheater as well, they seemed to work out their issues. Robbie saw that love was what mattered. Brittany is bisexual and he could never imagine her cheating on Santana. So both he and Imani, with their newfound security and maturity, recently decided to give dating exclusively a try. Everyone was elated. It was about damn time. They had been dancing the same dance for years. It was nice to see them both grow up. Their businesses were doing really well, hopefully their personal lives would follow suit. Secretly, each of them had seen what their friends had, and they want it for themselves as well. All of their friends hope that they have found it.

Blaine and Danny were doing well. No talks of marriage, but Blaine likes life in New York, and Danny likes being an honest business man. Most of all, they like coming home to one another. Living together in a committed relationship is enough for now. Life is simple, for the first time in Danny's life.

Brooke and Erik are going strong, as are the Eriksen men. Nickolas and Alec are working for Erik. Malik is in his last year of school. They all are turning out to be fine men. Susan is doing well, and has gotten better at traveling, now that not only her grandchildren but also her new found friend Ignacio has given her more reasons to want to travel. Now she has a great grandchild on the way, and even more reasons than ever to visit.

Luciana's brothers are doing well at the travel agency and looking forward to becoming uncles, and the twins are doing good with their luxury car service. Juan is always there to step in with sound business advice should any of them need it.

Pedro is doing an excellent job running the family business. He hasn't hit any major snags yet, probably because he's been so efficient at eliminating the minor ones. The cartel is happy, which makes Juan happy. He didn't want to leave his friend any major burdens.

Maria Ramirez has no intention of ever marrying again. Still, she's been in a long term relationship with a landscaper, a simple man who she can have a simple life with. She sold the Ramirez home and has protected the money that was left to her. She still lives in Florida, but far away from the life that took so much from her.

By the time Luciana reached her ninth month and Santana reached her seventh everybody was just ready for these babies to come. Those two and their hormones and their tempers and tears were driving their wives and each other crazy. Some days were perfect and others were like today, where they wanted to tear each other's hair out. The foursome had gone baby shopping for the thousandth time, just getting restless because Luciana was due any day and wanted that baby out of her now! After grabbing lunch and going back to Santana and Brittany's place because everything was cause for a power nap these days, Luciana and Santana plopped down on the sofa while Quinn and Brittany helped them take their shoes off. After the women rubbed their feet for a few minutes they went to unpack the take out they'd grabbed and set the table. Santana instantly closed her eyes and started to doze off when Luciana spoke.

"Santana, your perfume is making me nauseous," Luciana stated, irritated.

"It's the same perfume I've worn around you a hundred times before," Santana rolled her eyes.

"Well the baby doesn't like it," Luciana said.

"Well my baby thinks your flan de caramelo is too sweet," Santana shot back.

"Singao! (motherfucker), Luciana yelled. "You take that back right now!"

"Never!" Santana yelled dramatically.

"Here they go," Quinn said, rolling her eyes as Brittany tried to hold back her desire to laugh. Both women were trying to push themselves upright on the couch and failing miserably.

"Brittany! Help me up!" Santana yelled.

"I'm more pregnant than you and I can get up by myself!" Luciana bragged.

"Oh yeah, well why the hell haven't you done it yet?"

"Quinn!" Luciana yelled.

"Oh boy," Quinn said. "Should we go hide in the kitchen?"

"Food's ready," Brittany yelled out, and both women scowled at each other but were distracted by the thought of eating. Quinn looked at Brittany and chuckled.

"I can't wait until they have these babies," Quinn said softly.

"I think it's kind of hot, well not the giant stomachs and the sausage toes, which are adorable but not hot. You gotta love the boobs, though. Luciana pisses Santana off and then I always end up getting the benefit of angry sex. It's a win-win. I get great sex and I'm not the one she's mad at. Those two are so much alike, I can't imagine it's not the same for you."

"Yes, but it gets weird when she cries for no reason at all after and then wants to cuddle."

Brittany laughed, "Same here. I seriously doubt she's ever going to convince me to give birth to one of our children, but I wouldn't dare tell her that until this baby is at least in pre school."

Quinn laughed, "well Luciana made me take a blood oath already that I'm up next so if you don't get pregnant then I hope Imani does so I can have someone I love to fight with as much as those two love to fight."

"The way these two are going I'm pretty sure our kids are going to probably get married and fight their way down the aisle."

"It's what Luciana and Santana secretly dream of," Quinn said with a smile.

That moment pretty much summed up the final days of their pregnancies. Santana and Luciana loved each other then hated each other but couldn't live without each other. They always wanted to do things together and then would get irritated and argue and then make up and cry and eat snacks in front of the computer while they gush over cute baby clothes. It was insane, until finally baby Fabray-Rodriguez made his appearance.

Anthony Ramon Fabray Rodriguez came into the world at 8 pounds 4 ounces after 20 long hours of labor. Santana insisted on being there along with everyone else, even though she was heavily pregnant and everyone thought the stress of it all was going to send her into labor right alongside Luciana. Santana walked the halls with her until it was time to go into the delivery room, taking her turn at Luciana's side just as their parents and Robbie had and even Brittany and Danny. Of course Quinn was there every step of the way, but with such a long labor it was a team effort, everyone stepping up when Luciana called out for someone new. Once the baby arrived, healthy and all fingers and toes accounted for, Santana sat in the large chair in Luciana's room and promptly fell asleep. Everyone laughed, including Quinn, because it was almost as if Santana were in labor with her, and was as exhausted as Luciana was when the baby finally came. She needed to be there, and Luciana needed her there. Neither had to speak it, they just each knew that when the time came that would be how it was. They were that close. All Brittany and the others could do was tend to Santana as she tried to tend to her friend. Luciana tried to send her home but knew she would never leave, probably because she knew that Santana knew she really wanted her there. All their mothers could do was smile, because this is the bond they always wanted for their girls.

It was only six weeks later when Santana was on the other side of the hospital bed, a pretty long labor of her own. Of course Luciana and the entire extended family was at her side every step of the way. Baby Lopez-Pierce would not be outdone, and after 22 hours of labor Daniela Grace Lopez Pierce was born. Weighing in at 6 pounds 5 and a half ounces, a pound of which had to be those chunky cheeks, Daniela Grace was welcomed by everyone they loved doing the same as they had done while awaiting Anthony's birth...standing vigil at the hospital with a very nervous Brittany and outspoken Santana.

While Daniela was Valentina's middle name, it was Brittany's idea to name their daughter that. She felt it was fate. It felt right to her, because she knew that Santana would love to honor Valentina that way, not as the woman who she first loved, but as the hero she later came to be. She saved a lot of lives. She was selfless and brave. A lot like Danny, who had done the same. Daniela...Dani for short. That child would be named for the people who saved both of her mothers. It made perfect sense to Brittany, and so it felt right to Santana.

Daniela's middle name, Grace, was Santana's idea. "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all." Grace, the gift of divine favor in the salvation of sinners. They all had been granted some form of grace. Santana had left Miami and chosen a career looking for salvation, for forgiveness, from the way her family had made their living, from the world she wanted no part of. It was grace that had changed her father's heart and removed him safely from that life. The impossible made possible by grace. It was grace in every part of her life, and she believes that grace can one day remove Pedro from that life as well, just as grace saved his life all of those years ago. Grace compelled Ignacio Lopez to spare a young man that protocol demanded he kill. In all of their sin, even in Erik's sins, Brooke's sins, Danny's sins, there had always been grace. Grace gave Brittany her soul back, gave Brittany her heart back, so that she could share it with Santana. When Santana met Brittany she was ready to die to get vengeance, and now she has nothing but reasons to live. T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far, and Grace will lead us home. Daniela Grace, a name that meant more to Santana and Brittany than most people would ever know or understand.

So now the next chapter begins, the next generation of Lopezes and Pierces and Rodriguezes and Fabrays. These four wounded girls who somehow found healing, through grace and hard work. Now they get to do this thing called parenthood together, and hopefully get it right.
