Disclaimer: I don't anything, seriously, I don't.

A/N: Hello you beautiful people, welcome to my first Harry Potter/Game of Thrones/ASOIAF crossover! Let's find out if I can make something of it, hopefully I can lol. And just to have said it, this is so short because it's a prologue, and don't worry I'm already working on chapter 1, and it should be up pretty soon. With that said, I hope you enjoy this for what it is, and I wish you all the best.

~A Song of the Sorcerer~

~XxX~

Prologue

Magic had been dormant for ages, slumbering yet not gone, but as time passed mankind forgot. Without the forces of darkness to threaten them, man had no need for magic, not when learning was such a daunting task, as such what was once well known by all, became rumour and legend, tales told to naughty children to make them fear the dark places of the world.

But now the wheel of fate was turning as the Dark forces were rising, slowly gaining power even with man being none the wiser. And soon there would be the coming of change, whether that be good or ill, only time would tell…

And as magic returned a boy in Essos fell sick, his body warring against a terrible fever that worried his two relatives greatly…

Stranger still was the great glowing star that shined above the skies of Essos, glowing brighter and brighter still until it fell from the sky and landed somewhere in the great desserts of the Eastern continent.

And when the star hit the soil of Essos, the sick boy breathed a sigh of relief…

His face scrunched up and he felt his body writhe beneath some sheets. He groaned and screwed his eyes shut tighter, almost to the point of hurting, yet he hardly noticed that through the splitting headache he felt pounding away at his skull.

He wished to reach up with his hand to rub at his temple, but couldn't lift it. It felt as if his right hand was encased in a soft, tight and warm vice.

"Viserys!" He winced and his eyes flew open at the shrill shout of a young girl only to close again in pain as even the dim light of the room burned them and sent a stab of pain straight through his sore head. "Viserys, he is waking!"

He had no idea what the hell was going on and truly couldn't be bothered either, not with the worst headache in the history of headaches ponding against the confines of his head. It felt as if his head would pop open any minute now.

He scarcely noticed shuffling coming from what must've been a different room than the one he was in right now, and winced when he heard a door slam open with a loud and violent thud. The noise of which again forced his eyes to open against his own will, his body coiling like a spring, ready to react to any danger.

"Finally!" Again he winced at the pain that loud shout caused him but he willed himself to ignore it to take in the sight of the two strangers before him. "We are running out of coin and need to leave soon."

"Are you feeling better Jaehaerys?" His eyes flicked away from the strange, scrawny-looking silver-haired boy that stood in the doorway towards the girl sitting at his bedside and then realized that she had his hand clasped within her own.

She was a pretty-looking thing and he immediately noted the stark resemblance she had with the silver-haired boy. They were without a doubt related, sharing both their hair colour, pale complexion and unusual violet eyes.

Then her words finally managed to penetrate through the pain. Jaehaerys? Who was the poor sod that got saddled with that name? His name was Harry-

"Yes, I'm sure that he is fine." The silver-haired boy came stomping towards his bed, a worried and nervous frown on his face as he kept glancing over his shoulder. A nervous tick maybe? "Even if he wasn't, we can't stay here. I couldn't pay the inn-keep and the old fool is starting to look leery."

"But Jaehaerys nearly died from fever!" The little girl cried out, "you can't ask him to move after just waking up! What if he goes sick again!?"

The boy, Viserys, raked a worried hand through his hair before grabbing the girl by her shoulders whereupon he started to shake her roughly. "I know Daenery's!" He hissed through gritted teeth, "I know, but we have no choice! We don't have the coin to pay for the room any longer. I couldn't pay the inn-keep today, so tell me sweet sister, what do you suppose will happen to all of us if we go into debt in a city like this!?"

"Hey leave the girl alone!" Harry forced himself to sit up despite his still pounding head while glaring at Viserys.

He was glad to see that Viserys seemingly listened, releasing the girl and stepping away from her, and he easily met the boy's glare with his own.

"So you've finally grown some hair on your chest little nephew, have you?" Viserys sneered before his glare melted away and his red lips pulled back into a smirk. "I was wondering when your dragon blood would finally show itself."

Dragon blood?

Little Nephew?

"What in the bloody hells are you talking about?" Harry asked harshly, "and who are you!?"

And those seemed to be the wrong questions to ask the two children in front of him as Viserys stumbled back a step as if struck and tears gathered at the corners of the little girls' eyes.

"J-Jaehaerys?" The little girl sniffled, and a part of him went out for her yet he stood resolute and shook his head.

"My name is not Jaehaerys!" Harry bellowed and regretted it soon thereafter when he was met with the crushed look on the girl's face. He also took note of the look of utter fury on the face of the boy who couldn't be much older than ten or so, but that was a look that was much easier to ignore.

Still, he felt bad for making a little girl so sad, but he couldn't quite help himself. He was confused, irritated and in pain, so it was only natural that he would want to lash out.

"Yes, it is!" Viserys shouted as well, "Jaehaerys the third, of the House Targaryen, that is your name and you better be proud of it!"

Harry was just about to shout back that that was not his name, yet before he could his headache turned even worst. He hadn't thought it possible, but apparently, it was. He grunted and cradled his head with both hands, biting the inside of his cheek hard enough to taste blood.

"Jaehaerys!" Again the girl called out.

"What's wrong with him!?" Even the voice of Viserys seemed worried to his ears but Harry couldn't bother to care even if he wanted to.

His head hurt so much he just had to wonder if someone hadn't used Crucio on him. It was as if his mind was warring with itself, and with every flash of pain, he swore he saw brief images of people he didn't know flash before his eyes.

An incredibly beautiful woman with dark skin, brown hair, and black eyes smiling.

A young girl with equally dark skin and brown hair giggling, her striking violet eyes alight with joy and mischief.

A sweet old fatherly bear of a man with grey hair and a gruff yet kind voice.

Harry didn't know what was going on anymore, that brief imagery could be nothing but old memories, and yet he never met any of these people!

"Viserys his nose is bleeding!" The girl shouted and soon after he felt his face cradled between the soft and tender hands of a child.

"Shit, stay with him Daenerys, I'm going to talk with the inn-keep, maybe I can convince him to let us stay for another night!" The door to the room was slammed shut soon thereafter and Harry could hear Viserys stomp away with hurried steps.

"Shh…" The little girl shushed him softly and pulled Harry's head into her small shoulder, hugging him tightly. "It's going to be alright."

Harry wasn't so sure about that, and once more he could only wonder just what the hell was going on.

Who were the people he saw in these...these memories? And why did he feel as if Daenerys and Vserys were right in calling him Jaehaerys?

And what kind of sick and twisted parent would come up with names like Viserys, Daenerys and Jaehaerys in the first place!?

And why did he feel as if he was the butt of some joke?

Bloody hell...what have I gotten myself into now?
