Chapter 3- A Dragon and a Dragonborn?

"Fuck."

I looked around at the people in a worn, and weathered, cart as we were being pulled along what looked like a paved trail in a mountain pass. The clopping of the horse feet making my head pound with every step. There was a light fog that blanketed the area gave a smell of a wet honeydew. The sun struggled to shine through the fog, but as it did it left the most beautiful looking sunrays behind I had ever seen. It was amazing actually, or it would have been if I didn't know where I was going.

My vision cleared a bit more now as the fog dissipated slightly and I seen 2 more horse drawn carts with more people. One had a man who looked to be dressed in rags, his hair a mess and his body caked in dirt and grime. In that cart was a woman as well who was conversating with a blonde man in the same armor as all in my cart. She had auburn hair that stopped just below her shoulders and seemed to be slightly disheveled from lack of care for who knows how long. Her eyes were a striking green and her features were all sharp. A scar seemed to be on her cheek that looked like a slash mark from a blade. As he spoke to her she seems to have become rather terrified at his words, a look of hopelessness stretches across her features as she then looks down. I raise an eyebrow and then begin to think in my head. "Hey Magna. Do I have to say Observe out loud or can I think it instead. I really don't wanna sound weird to these guys right now. Also what should I do? I don't wanna get executed, you know."

[Oh yes that is right! Here let me give you a quest and also, yes you can simply think commands and it will work like normal. I knew I forgot to tell you stuff in the tutorial area. Oops :P]

I couldn't help, but smirk at her response and then focused on the woman. With a thought of "Observe." I watched a large amount of information get slammed into my head and then suddenly a screen popped up in my vision.

Name: Miranda Growlie

Title: The Last Dragonborn

Race: Nord

lvl: 6

Age: 24

Description: Miranda was born to a family of farmers/hunters, out in Cyrodil. She had a stable childhood and was even a natural with a bow and arrow. Her family is comprised of her mother and father, 4 older brothers, and a little sister, who means the world to her. She had to watch as her brothers were carted off one day to join the war against Ulfric Stormcloak in Skyrim. It wasn't a good day for her and the most recent thing to hit her hard was the fact that their armor and swords were delivered to the family home to let the family know that they are now deceased. Miranda was enraged and angered at the Stormcloaks for the murder of her brothers and so she came to cross the border and enlist in the imperial army and take revenge against them. However now that she is being hauled off to the City of Helgen to be publicly executed, and her pleas to join the army were fallen on deaf ears, she can't help but have doubts about the validity of those claims by the imperials of her brother's dying in battle.

Thoughts about you: She hasn't met you yet.

Alert! Quest obtained!

The Burning City

Objective 1: Survive Helgen

Objective 2: Gather information on the world as it is.

Bonus Objective: ?

Rewards: 1000 exp, ID Create, ID Escape, Skill book

Bonus Objective rewards: ?, ?, ?

Looking at the description of Miranda, I can't help but feel pity for her. She was trying to help others and take revenge for her family only to be betrayed by the people she swore allegiance too. It is a hard pill to swallow, but I'll make sure she doesn't die today. Poor girl deserves to at least go home and if this is how these Imperials do things then I know which side I am gonna be on if the time comes when I have to choose. This is horrible. Looking at the quest I see that I can get some exceptional rewards from this too and now it just makes what I think I'll do all the more sweeter.

Looking across from me I see the Red-head man from before and I strike up a conversation with him. "Where are we? What's going on right now?"

His eyes widen slightly at the sound of my voice, it is a bit deep, but come on it can't be that bad guy! He scanned my face and then shook his head as he looked back ahead of us on the road. "You live in a cave or something big guy? You got caught in an ambush meant for us and now that they have us, well, it's to the block with all of us." He laughed a bit at the situation, though I can tell it is empty and more accepting of the events.

"Don't say that!" Both me and him look over to another woman with bright blonde hair. She wears the same armor as most of the individuals here, and it seems hers was forged for her personally. It hugs her body tightly and seems to give her protection without sacrificing mobility, an empty sheathe is set on her side, and her hands are bound tightly in front of her. She has a scared look on her face at the mention of the "block" and seems to look to me to see if I will deny it. "You don't have to listen to Ragvir! He is a fool and he just wants to scare us!"

"Shut up Cleo. To deny it is to remain ignorant of the situation we are in. Ulfric is in the front cart and with him dead the war ends. That means that we all die with him, it's over." He shakes his head at her antics and then looks back at me. "Do you deny what could be happening to us? Will you also remain ignorant of the situation we are in, Giant-kin?"

I look between the 2 of them and then begin to ponder, in my head, what to say to either of them. Cleo looks scared so I should try to help her with that feeling. I give her a disarming smile and then begin to talk. "Cleo, was it?" She gives a nod. "Ragvir is right, we are going to the block. It all makes sense to make a spectacle out of Ulfric. Basic military strategy is to cut the head off the snake so the body will wither. Ulfric is the leader so they'll take him down first." As my words come out I see her eyes widen as she begins to breathe really hard. I put my foot on hers and then lean forward a bit. "Don't worry though. I promise you that you will make it out of here alive. I'll handle everything so have a little faith and pray to your Gods." She searched my eyes for a lie and though she isn't naïve I can see it helped to put her faith in someone else. It at least let's her focus a bit.

"Observe."

Name: Cleo Frostfall

Title: none

Race: Nord

Age: 29

Lvl: 4

Description: Cleo is a devout follower of Talos and when the empire and elves banned his worship she was outraged and then began to worship him in secret. One day when she went to the market to grab some meats for the family home she returned to see it ransacked and her husband being taken by the Thalmor. She had heard that when the Thalmor find people who worship Talos they lock them away forever, and not wanting to be captured by them she then ran back to town. She called herself a coward, but when news reached the ears of all that Ulfric Stormcloak was making an army to take back Skyrim from the Empire and Elves she felt it was her duty to join. To fight for freedom! To fight for Talos! Hopefully to find her husband again.

Thoughts about you: Thankful, Curious, Believes

I look at her information and see that I at least made an impact. I gotta get her outta here as well. I gotta get all of these guys outta here. War isn't pretty, but these guys just want their homes back. I can help them with that. I can do something here can I? My first act of good in this world. I then look at Ragvir.

"Observe."

Name: Ragvir Stonewall

Title: The Stubborn One

Race: Nord

Age: 17

Lvl: 9

Description: Ragvir had to have been the most stubborn youth of his time. Born to a Family that preached about finding a glorious death to go to Sovngarde, Ragvir had the mindset of "live dangerously, die well" implanted into his very blood. Always getting into fights and never doing a thing he didn't want to, his blood would sing to him to never roll over and take anything. At one point some Stormcloaks had came over after a night of drinking and ended up killing his Father's prized cow. The next day they would have found him beating the full grown men with nothing, but his bare hands, and he still managed to pull a win out of his belt regardless of their armor. A Stormcloak captain saw his handiwork and went to recruit him for the rebellion. He originally turned them away, but when told about the possibilities of making his way to Sovngarde he took it with no second thoughts. He has killed many an imperial and caught the eye of Ulfric. This mission was to be his chance at moving up in station to command his own unit.

Thoughts about you: Brave, Crazy, Admiration.

"Well that's something. Kid is brainwashed by his religion here and is throwing his life away to "Die well"? What a waste... but looking around..." The fog has now fully cleared and I can see the wilderness surrounding me. The lush green looks untouched and up ahead I can see what looks like Stone gates and a wooden archway. The place is massive and really does give off the medieval vibe to me. I'm also pretty sure people were marrying and having kids around the ages of 15-19, and that's for families marrying them off to other families. Walking down a path I see a man carrying a few pales of water as well tied to a pole that is across his shoulder. Yep this place really looks to be really far behind the times. I like the look of the world though. Makes me think of the park and how pretty it was, but it honestly has nothing on this.

"General Tullias Sir! The headsman is waiting!" I hear a voice from the top of the archway as we pass through it. The soldier looks like the one driving the cart, attire wise at least. His armor looks like... Roman armor somewhat. It is weird and... is that a dress? I wouldn't be caught dead in that... ever. Looking behind the battlements as we come through I see a man wearing what looks like golden centurion armor. He seems to be aged, I'd say in his 50s at most. "Observe."

Name: Servius Tulius

Age: 53

Race: Imperial

Lvl: ?

Description: ?

Thoughts about you: Hasn't met you, but sees you are a large one.

"Oh shit this dude is unreadable?! That means I ain't ready to fight him at all! Note to self, level up a lot and stay away from him until I can walk away from that fight." He had locked eyes with me and the Elf next to him also looked my way as well. I sent out a Hunter's Pulse and then watched both their eyes widen as I scanned how many people were here and then they watched as I left with the rest. Guess I must be intimidating or something, and I guess you would be right considering how big I am. My Pulse came back and I had a map of the city completed in my minimap which made me smirk a little at that. Hunter's Pulse is gonna be so useful now that I know this little feature about it. There's a lot of people forming a path for us to travel too and a lot of them feel restless.

We continued to be driven through the City all the way to the center and I took in the sights as I watched it all go by. There were plenty of civilians shouting at the carts and some even threw things towards the soldiers that were in them. I saw houses of timber with bundled thatch roofs and torches mounted to poles in the ground, must light those at night. There was a large tower made of stone that seemed to stretch up about 4 stories and I could see archers on top of them, as well as more soldiers lining the path we are riding down. We eventually came to a break in the path and it opened up to a city center with what looked like a man dressed in full leather, that was dyed as black as night. He wore a black hood that let his mouth, nose, and eyes show through, while the rest of him was covered. The sound of metal grinding against stone was prevalent as I was able to see sparks coming off of a nasty looking axe, he would stop a bit and inspect it as he went back to sharpening it's edge. I could feel the angst coming off of Cleo and then I turned to her and smiled. "Remember... trust me you will live today." She gave a small nod and I can hear the whimper coming from her as she looks back at the headsman and the block in the center.

Eventually the carriage stops and the driver then looks back at us. "Alright you parasites! Off the Carriage and line up in order! I don't wanna hear a peep from any of you until your name is called!" I looked at him with a cocked brow and he ended up punching me in the jaw. I heard his hand make a cracking sound as he grabbed it and noticed his knuckle was smashed from that. I took no damage from that one... weird. I though for sure it would hurt me a little. He grabbed his hand and yelled in pain as the others looked at me and then guards drew their swords. I raised my hands to show I was bound still and then yelled to them.

"It ain't my fault he punched me and broke his hand! All I did was look at him and he lost it!" A few of the Stormcloaks looked at me with surprise and the guards looked at me with a wary eye. Eventually Tullius arrived and then took control of the situation.

"What's going on here?! What did you do prisoner?!" His spit was flying out of his mouth as it got in my face. With him riding his horse and me sitting down we were basically eye level. He then looked at the driver and then seen him cradling his hand which was swelling more and more. Tullius looked over the Driver's wound and then looked back at me. "WELL?!"

"Peace friend. I was just about to get up with the rest and then he punched me in face. He broke his hand when he struck me, not my fault he got impatient." I said with a shrug of my shoulders to which Tullius narrowed his eyes at me and looked back at the driver of the carriage. He looked like he was sweating from both the pain and the General's analytical stare.

He eventually caved and stuttered out. "H-he speaks th-the... ahhh... truth General. I-I-I was too hotheaded, s-sir." He cradled his hand still and looked down from the General's stare.

Tullius eventually sighed and then waved the priestess by the block over. "Heal this idiot's hand for me." He then turned to me. "And you! Anymore trouble and you'll be the first on the block. You got me?" Going over it in my head I do take 75% less damage from all physical attacks so I may be able to use this in my favor. If I antagonize him he may take the bait and put me up first. If that guy's hand is anything to go by, then maybe that axe will also break apart like the man's hand. This is either really smart or really dumb, but... well I have lots of luck so I might be able to make it work.

For deducing a proper plan from events previously transpired, the player gains a +1 to Wis!

Well that pretty much confirms it and so I look at him and shrug my shoulders while giving the most antagonizing laugh I can. "Ahahahahaha! First on the block, last on the block, who cares old man!" I can see his face get a bit red and his teeth grind a bit. "In all seriousness though are you really gonna execute us with that toy over there? That might wanna upgrade the axe so you can at least hurt me. Wouldn't wanna embarrass your headsman and then have you step up now would we. You look like you might throw your hip out if you move too fast." I hear an eruption of laughter from the Stormcloaks and a few snickers from some of the Imperials, but the man in front of me is seething with rage. He then motions for me to get off the wagon. I do so and he stares at me again with a vein popping outta his forehead.

"Since you wanna talk so much then let's get started with you... NOW!" He was absolutely pissed. He actually seethed most of that through his teeth and man can I feel the heat coming off of him. I don't think anyone had the balls to insult him like this before, and at their own execution no less. He really must want to put me down, huh?

New Skill has been created!

Taunt: Your words sting you forked tongue snake! When you successfully taunt someone they become irate and irrational. There moves are telegraphed, but they hit harder too, watch out!

Target receives 10% increase to melee damage and a 15% decrease to speed and mobility.

So I wanted to keep it going and so I simply scoffed and made my way to the block.

Ralof P.O.V

When I saw the Giant-Kin I knew he was going to cause these Imperial dogs some problems, but never did I think I was going to hear words that can break the "Almighty General's" composure. Damn fool that Giant-Kin, but still never say he isn't a brave one. Going to that block I know he is gonna be sang about in the halls of Sovngarde when he gets there. I'll raise a mug to him when we both arrive. "That man has more of a way with words than you do Jarl Ulfric. Must have learned from you when you dueled the High King, eh?"

Ulfric simply let out a chuckle from behind his cloth gag. I can tell Ulfric is definitely enjoying the show, as am I. The girl next to me though, Miranda, has a worried expression on her face. I give her a small nudge with my shoulder and then give her some words to help her out, well I hope they do. Let's see here. "Look at him, Miranda. Do you see the confidence in his stride as he makes his way to the block. That is the way you should face this. Don't show weakness as that is all they want. This isn't gonna be the end, but instead a new beginning. You have to be brave though, girl. Take a deep breath and watch on as he does what he must. That man is a fearless one for sure so watch him, and watch closely." I feel like I rambled there, but I think I am also convincing myself, just as I am trying to convince her.

The man now made it to the block and I can see the very picture of confidence on his face, but I also get the feeling that he knows something. It seems more than confidence than he possesses, but more like assurance of survival. That's crazy though! Is he just insane?! Miranda had spoke now when she had time to think. "Ralof... I-I hear what you are saying, but... I don't wanna die. Not yet." The lass began to shed tears as she watched the Giant-Kin kneel down and place his head on the block. "I lost my older brothers and my mom and dad are about to lose me now... my little sister. Poor Cedna. She is gonna be left behind and grieve even more. Sh-she told me not to go, that it was a bad idea, but I didn't listen and now look at me. Am I really gonna die now? Her poor heart won't be able to take it Ralof." At this point she is shaking and then we both watched as the axe rose up.

The Giant-Kin spoke next. "You have one shot, but I am warning you... if you waste it-" The axe came down and everyone just stared at the results. I felt my jaw drop as I watched shattered metal fly everywhere as the Giant-Kin's bare neck shattered the blade on contact. Gods even Ulfric is wide eyed, but nothing compared to that deep chuckle from the Giant-Kin. He stood up without a scratch on him and then looked at the headsman while General Tullius and the Thalmor bitch backed away. "You're gonna regret it." I then watched him break his binds and then punched the headsman so hard it sounded like a crack of thunder went off, and the headsman's head rolled. I don't know what possessed me, but I felt inspired and then ran for the nearest Legionaire's blade and cut my binds. They couldn't react fast enough as I cut them down and freed Ulfric who then let loose the Thu'um and blew the gathering mass of legionaires away. The Stormcloaks will continue to fight! We won't roll over today! We will FIGHT!

Ulfric P.O.V.

I just watched the impossible... this... this must be a blessing from the Gods. "THE GODS ARE WITH US! FIGHT MY STORMCLOAKS! FOR SKYRIM!" I never felt so charged, my blood sings for combat. I must have it now and I must get my men out of here. We will make it this day! I charged at the nearest legionaire and shouted their blade from their hand and took there hand as they and their friends were sent flying. My eyes narrowed at the General and he backed away on his horse and then yelled for his guards to get the townspeople to safety. As much as I want to take him down now I can't. Next time his neck will sheathe my blade.

Miranda P.O.V.

"He just... the axe, but it... I saw it hit his bare neck. Who is that man? What... what luck he is with us. I.. I might be able to escape from here. I... should I stick with Ralof and Ulfric? I can't go home, the Empire patrols the borders heavily. I'll just end up back at another block won't I? I... I don't wanna die like that. I need to get outta here and then I can decide, but first I need a bow." I don't see one near me, but I can move a little better now since Ralof cut my binds. For now I'll take cover till I can find a weapon. This is chaos! My eyes were once again drawn to the man who started all this and I was impressed to see so many dead soldiers on the ground near him. He is definitely dangerous and that may be what I need to get me through Skyrim and the war. I hope he joins us.

? P.O.V.

I can feel the wind blowing against me as I fly. That damn Dovahkin and his scroll sent me so far forward in time. Oh well I can rebuild and then I ca- *Sniff sniff* "What is that?" I take in a deep sniff as the crackle of thunder reached my ears. There's no rain and yet I hear thunder? This is unique. It's coming from the direction I am flying. I must see what this is now. I sensed humanoids there already, but now something else demands my attention there it seems.

"I will burn it down all the same! Let my challenge be heard!" With that I unleashed a massive roar to challenge whatever is there at the grovel of weaklings.

Bjorn P.O.V.

[Wow Bjorn! You really kicked things off with a bang didn't ya?! This is so cool!]

I clenched my fists and looked at the ground at the bodies of the Imperials that surrounded me moments ago. Behind me I see the Stormcloaks seem to have gotten a second wind and went to fighting. Guess it must have something to do with this.

New skill Created:

Rally: Your actions inspire greatness in allies. All allies within your presence gain a 10% boost to Morale, Speed, Stamina, and damage for the duration. Duration equals your Cha in minutes.

"For what I plan on doing for these people, this skill is perfect. I gotta protect Ulfirc and Miranda though." I start making my way towards Ulfric when I and everyone hears the sound an earsplitting roar thunder through the skies. It was so loud I felt the ground shake at it's presence. I, and everyone, stopped and looked back towards the mountain pass just in time to see a giant black dragon fly right pass the mountainside and rush towards the city. People were going nuts and screaming and then I heard Tullius.

"What in OBLIVION IS THAT?!" Then the beast landed on top of a stone tower and crushed some poor sods up there. It scanned the battlefield and noticed that I was the only one not really startled by it's presence. Uneasy yes, but Gamer's Mind took care of any and all fear. It cocked it's head and then opened it's mouth and a loud boom was heard as the sky swirled into a dark and depressive grey and orange. Suddenly meteors rained down from the sky and I saw one about to land on Ulfric and another was heading for Miranda. I ripped up the headsman's block and hummed it at the medium sized meteor and shattered it with the block, and then I lunged for the one going for Miranda and then cracked it with my fist. She looked up at me thankfully and Ulfric gave me a nod as the Dragon rained chaos on the rest of the town. However it saw me do what I did and his voice boomed out. "Interesting!" Even with Gamer's Mind I still felt a shiver go up my back.

I grabbed Miranda by the arm and we then ran for the tower I saw Ulfric run into with Ralof. "Hold the door!" I yelled and they kept it open as we rushed inside. I had to duck and then when I was inside I looked at all the soldiers that were injured, although they seemed to be able to move still so that was good at least. The blonde guy then shouted out to Ulfric.

"Jarl Ulfric! Was that a dragon?! Could the Legends be true?!" He seemed exasperated and at a loss for words for what could be happening.

"Legends don't burn down villages." Wise words right there and glad he has a sense of humor given the situation. His eyes then land on me. "You... Giant-Kin. I would have your name." I looked back to him and then nodded to him.

"Bjorn Firemane. Glad to see that I was the first one for the axe. Left us more allies to work with. Especially given the situation. Never thought I would see a flying lizard that can call down fire from the heavens." He gave a small chuckle and lowered his head. He then reached out a hand to me and then I clasped his wrist as he did mine.

"Bjorn FIremane... I will commit it to memory. Shows like that are not seen often around here. When you get out of here I would like you to come to Windhelm. I believe we can help each other here, but first we need to get out of here." He then let go of my arm and honestly the look and posture he presents... this guy is definitely a guy who is always in charge. The Charisma and weight in his words are clear. I then nod to him and then look around.

"Jarl Ulfric, I will make my way there, but first let's see what we can do around here first. We need to find a way to escape. Any ideas? I don't know... Helgen?" He and Ralof nod at me. "Right, Helgen. I don't know this area well so if you have an idea I would love to hear it." I look at them and then I feel a pull on my sleeve and look over to see Miranda. "Yes?"

"C-can you let my hand go now please?" I look down to see in fact, yes, I am holding her hand still. I let go of it and then look back at the others there and Ralof gives me a grin.

"Welllll Bjorn. Already being sweet on the person you saved, eh?" He laughed and then I started to hear Magna laugh in my head. I sighed and then Ulfric came to my rescue.

"Ralof... don't start with jokes." Thank you Ulfric. "You can tear him down with jokes when we are safer." Fuck you Ulfric!

Ralof then chuckled and then he looked back at all of us. "I used to live here in this city. It has a barracks on the other side that leads out of the city in the tunnels underneath. Got in trouble when I was a kid with the soldiers when I went snooping there." He finishes as he adopts a more serious look now as he goes back to the situation. "If we can get there Jarl Ulfric, then we can make an escape right underneath that Dragon's nose!" He finishes with confidence. That honestly sounds like a good plan. Now we just need to get there.

Ulfric peeks out the door as he speaks. "Well it would be a good plan Ralof... if the street wasn't blocked right now. We have nowhere to go right now." While he was looking outside I then spoke up.

"What about up?" They all looked at me so I explained a bit more since I got their attention. "Next to this tower was a house with a Thatch roof. Thatch is just dried and grass and timber scraps, it should provide us a soft landing when we jump to it. Then when we get there we can make our way through the house and see about finding another way." They all just stared at me and I gave out a long sigh. "Look it's better than waiting here to die." With that Ulfric nods and then Ralof goes to the stairs.

"I'll lead the way. Everyone else should grab an injured man or woman and let's start our way up." I looked around and saw the rest of the Stormcloaks help their fellow man up. After that we started our way up. I could hear the stuff going on outside, it was pure chaos. A Hunter's Pulse gave me a read on the situation, but I also felt the Dragon coming to the tower when we were going up. I pulled Ralof back as soon as I saw it about to bust the wall and when it did I don't know what possessed me to do this, but I ran and tackled the dragon to the ground off the side of the tower.

Looking back I could see the looks shock on their faces as me and the dragon crashed into the ground. Looking up I seen them staring as I tightened my hold on it's neck and then screamed at them. "RUN YOU IDIOTS!" As soon as the words left my mouth they jumped from the tower into the house and began to make their way towards Ralof's exit. As for me I could hear the Dragon gagging as I tightened my hold on it. It swung itself around and slammed me up against the wall a few times.

On the last hit I finally let go as the pain caught up to me and then the Dragon swung it's tail at me and launched me into the wall on the opposite side of the area near the headsman's body.

-150 HP

The dragon saw me smack the wall and my body looked all bent out of shape as it grinned and laughed at it's work. However it stopped when it heard the sound of bones cracking and snapping as red tendrils came out of me and began to fix my body. I was back to standing up looking at it and then spit out some blood. "Alright... so you hit hard. Got anything else in that head of yours?" I tinged my voice with mock bravado because in my head. "Holy shit! That shit really just happened!? I thought that was the end for me until I saw how little damage that was. I mean don't get me wrong that was a lot, but I got up from that! My health is already nearly full again too! The only bad thing is I got this damn Dragon focused on me now! Why!?"

[It's because you're the Gamer! Woooooo! Don't worry, you might be able to escape. That big old dragon just woke up and so he is still weak from what happened to him. You're gonna need some serious training to take him down later, but for right now you can outlast him! Here's a hint though Bjorn, watch your allies on the minimap that way you can see when they make it to the other side of this wall. Then run to them to get outta here okay? You can outlast him, but you can't fight him right now. So I recommend stalling him for right now.]

Thanks Magna! I'll keep an eye on that. Oh shit he is laughing again."

"Ahahahahahaha! INTERESTING!" He then began to walk around me in a circle as I started to do the same and we kept circling each other in the town square. "I didn't expect you to try to choke me, but to make progress in doing so as well?! I see you are not an ordinary Nord." We keep making eye contact as he continues to walk and talk.

"No. I ain't... in fact I'm not a Nord at all. I just look like one." This looks like it piques his interest. I keep going on as we circle each other like we are 2 predators that smell blood in the water. "I just look like one of them, but I could be anything I want to be. Including you if I Consume you." I say with my finger pointing at him. This makes him laugh and honestly if I didn't have Gamer's Mind I would have shit myself right there. "What are you anyway? I never seen something like you before. The Nords call you a Dragon, but I never heard that term before."

"Nice!" I thought as the Dragon spoke. "Ohhh? Then it has been truly a long time since we flew the skies of Tamriel. I will be rectifying that later, but regardless I am a dragon. Master's of the Thu'um as your people know it as. We were the rulers of all you mortals and now that I am back we will rule again. Listen Mortal, and listen well, I am Alduin The World Eater. I am the first of my kind and I will be the one to bring them all back!" As he speaks I can feel the ambition in his speech... I believe him. That scares me. "First though... I will pay you back for that choking you did to me!"

It is probably not a good idea to do this, but I am already in deep shit, sooooo... "Well for the choking, didn't your momma ever tell you to chew your food before you swallow? Or is it maybe you're lizard brain made you think eating a wall of a tower was a good idea. I mean I get hungry too, but you don't see me taking a bite out of a wagon." ... annnd that did it. I watched as Alduin immediately charged me and I vaulted over him just in time for him to kick me with his back leg into a wall.

-200 HP

"Holy shit!"

[Not your brightest move there. Should I take some intelligence away? :P]

"Not now Magna! Please!" All I heard was a giggle as rolled to the side and then charged at Alduin myself. I delivered a kick to his jaw and saw a tooth get knocked out as he batted me away with a wing. I looked at my health and saw that it was obscenely low at this point and then grabbed the nearest corpse and Consumed it. After I did I saw I was back to full health and felt a bit stronger from that one. I looked back at Alduin to see him grinning widely and then reared back and breathed FUCKING FIRE?! "OH SHIT!" I jumped high into the air and seen him take off after me and swatted me back to another tower where some archers were. Sorry guys, but I need all the help I can get right now.

I ran forward and Consumed them like the corpse and then felt myself get slightly charged with extra energy, but then I seen Alduin coming to land so I threw the nearest thing I can find. Which just so happened to be a barrel of oil. As soon as it made contact I hummed a torch at him and watched him get set alight and rampage away from me. Looking around and at the Minimap I see that Ulfric, Ralof, Miranda, Cleo, and a few others made it to the Barracks area. I then took a step back and then jumped and landed next to them. They looked shocked and seen I cracked the stone and so I yelled. "Questions later! Escape now!"

After that I ran over and kicked the door open and then ran inside as the others followed me when they saw the enraged dragon flying around and blowing things up looking for me. Either that or he is just really pissed and taking it out on all of them. I salute all of you who stayed behind to help me and my allies escape.

Author's note:

Hey guys it's me Xerxes. So as you can see the escape of Helgen has started and I decided to have Ulfric Join us in this escape from Helgen. I can see that some may not like it, but I did always like the Stormcloaks as they fight for a free Skyrim. Although in here they won't act like a game so let's be honest the war would probably be put on hold for awhile to deal with the dragon threat. Regardless though Alduin really doesn't like Bjorn right now either and my reasons as to why Bjorn could do all of that to Alduin has to do with Alduin being weakened from the time travel as he was just in a fight technically a few minutes ago to him and the fact that Alex Mercer and James Heller both could, at the beginning of their powers in the games, could throw a car 3 blocks away like it was nothing. This gave me influence for the respective strength of Bjorn currently and it is only gonna get better from here as he levels up.

Donbasos- Thanks for that. I honestly don't see myself as a good writer, but I guess 5 years of being a DM in DnD makes up for that XD. Thanks for the kind words and enjoy this chapter when it comes out today.
