Chapter 8- Meetings, Deals, and a Goal Set
DING!
Quest Complete!
"Neat!" Without wasting time I pull up the quest and take a look at all I received. While doing so I close my eyes and yawn, which grabs the attention of Jarls Ulfric and Balgruuf when we are being lead upstairs to the war room. Balgruuf looks a little stiff and Ulfric raises an eyebrow at me. I clarify to them in a dignified manner of a man conversing with a king. "Forgive my small outburst my Jarls. I find myself bored and in need of stimulation. Might it be possible for me to find a quiet corner in this war room and read a few books?"
Ulfric looks to Balgruuf and then Balgruuf nods at the question. "I can have a few books brought to you, or you can use the chair and shelf in the back of the room. Is this all you require, Mighty Talos?" I can tell he is nervous by the tone of his voice. Chill out dude, you'd think that I just threatened your family or something. Also him calling me Talos himself is not gonna cut it for me. I really don't wanna piss off a God on my second day here. That would just be suicidal at worst.
I raise my hand and he flinches ever so slightly. "Jarl Balgruuf... please be at ease. I am not an enemy of you, nor am I Talos himself. I am a mere extension of his divine presence given physical form. I am Bjorn Firemane, nothing more or less. I will serve to protect all denizens of skyrim from threats of both internal and external. You care for your people and that is very clear and admirable. I see you as a true denizen of Skyrim and as such you and your Kingdom fall under my protection." My face remains neutral and my tone not wavering or leaking emotion into it. This puts him more at ease and I can tell from my words a true weight of anxiety has left his shoulders. I can't blame him... he just watched a finely crafted sword break against me and then another of high level enchantments not even hurt me much at all. In reality it did a good bit, but to an outsider without the Gamer it looked like a mild nuisance at worst.
"Well thank you for lending your protection Bjorn Firemane. I will admit... I would never have expected the mighty Talos to even allow for a creation of his will to be so... humble." I laughed as we made it to the upstairs military planning room. Along the walls are golden banners depicting the Symbol of Whiterun, a war horse with what looks like the mane of a lion. Towards the center of the room there's a table with a map of Skyrim and red and blue flags marking different locations, I assume each one represents a differing area of control of the Imperials and the Stormcloaks. A large double chest is underneath the table and shelves are on the back wall underneath 2 more large maps of Skyrim. The books are what I gravitate towards. One as a cover for me to mess with my screen and roll some Gacha coins and two to finally get some more history on this world. A book with a black cover, and what looks like a dragon on it, catches my eye. I see along the walls are chairs and benches that I can sit in to do all this. I really can't wait for this meeting to be over though. I know I will have a lot more, now that I am in the political world, but I will still be happy to not have to worry anymore about them after this for a bit.
I make my way to the shelf of books and then grab a few of them. I find a few history books, and I pick up the black book as well, and I go to take a seat on the bench in the corner of the room. I see the Jarls, and Ralof standing around the table, occasionally Balgruuf sneaks a glance at me, but I just ignore it and open the first history book and begin to look at my screens. Just before I do I see Miranda sitting next to me and she grabs one of the books off my lap. I glance her way and she sticks her tongue out at me and I smile at her while I go back to looking at my quest rewards.
The Meeting
Jarl Ulfric has sent a messenger to talk to Jarl Balgruuf about the Dragon and to unite all the holds against the threat that Alduin presents. You should make sure he gets there in time and safe. You're gonna be moving up in the world here soon, so keep it up Bjorn!
Objective Complete: Get to Whiterun safely and get to the meeting with Jarl Balgruuf
Bonus Objective Complete: Kill the Giant to cement your legend
Rewards: Observe upgrade, 1 Gacha coin, 2500 Exp
Bonus Objective Rewards: Increased Reputation with the Companions, Increased Reputation with Whiterun, Title: The Fist of Talos
Observe: This skill has been upgraded to allow the user to use skill books from any distance, Increased the level range of observable targets, and now can see the full stats of creatures of up to 50 levels above the Gamer.
The Fist of Talos: Your legend has been cemented with the help of your allies. All allies in your charge gain a 15% Exp boost and all stats, morale, and trust from those who believe in you are increased by 20%. Go forth and pave your path to Godhood and perhaps even Talos will respond to your actions!
"EQUIP TITLE! EQUIP NOW!" I frantically equipped it and then inwardly cheered. This was such a great title and I can use this to make, not only a strong group of allies, but I can also place myself in the hearts of all and ensure no betrayal. I will never get Judas'ed by any who follow me! Now I have to also watch my step though because Talos is gonna definitely watch me from here on out. I can't disappoint him or I am gonna get smited so hard.
[Well look at the bright side Bjorn!... If you mess up you can always jump into a dungeon and just live there till he forgets right?]
"I don't wanna run from my problems or piss off a God, but yeah that would be an option. By the way... should I use these dungeons to power level Magna? I really would like the opinion of you on that." I say as I flip a page in the History book. I can probably cheat and use Observe to just take the information like that after I am done.
[Well thanks Bjorn! :D Honestly though I wouldn't because of your race. The world itself has enough things and conflict to allow you to level up just fine. By the time you reach level 60 you will most likely be above everything short of Alduin himself and a few others with legendary artifacts of power and magical beings that are saturated in the stuff.]
"Okay! That's good to know! So then what level do you think I can easily smack around Alduin?"
[I would say, without rolling anything good on the Gacha, then you will be able to soundly defeat him at level 87 without allies. Should you have allies, and all of them level up as well, then I would say you can soundly defeat him by level 63! Depends on who your allies are! I wouldn't worry because you have plenty of Gacha you can roll as well, and the one that is a rare gacha coin is pretty much guaranteed to give you something great! Speaking of the coins... wanna roll em?!]
"Yeah let's do it! I wanna see what I get!" I am really hyped up for this and I am also happy I got Blacklight Virus as a race! With what Magna said then the only thing I have to worry about is my allies then. Gonna see about getting something to help me with that magic problem though. I don't expect outright immunity, but I would like to lower that damage dealt at least a little bit. It was now that I heard Magna spin the Gachas.
[Spin, spin spin! Let's see who how lucky my best partner is! :D]
I chuckle a bit and then look at my screen as I watch it roll by in 4 different spots.
DING!
New Items received and a new skill as well!
A Pet Rock: Congratulations Gamer! You are the new proud owner of a pet rock! It even has Googly eyes!
...
...
... I am honestly happy with this. Googly eyes can make a great gift for someone and I can put it on a sword for someone I know and she'll probably think it is the cutest thing ever. Looking at you Miranda. Plus the rock itself can be a good projectile and I can see about finding a return enchantment and put it on the rock so it comes back to me.
Thor's Irongrippers: The Vambraces of the legendary god of thunder himself. Double's the damage of the wearer's unarmed attacks total.
Gonna definitely use these. I can probably incorporate it into my armor and make it look nice. I am thinking a something that can maybe look like Thor to pay homage to him then. A horned helmet and some steel armor maybe? Should I go heavy or light though? Honestly I feel it will be more for Aesthetics give how durable I am. Plus I have the Armored mode too!
Skill book (Smithing): This book can be used to unlock the Smithing job and then grants the user the knowledge and leveling path to forge arms and armors to fit his/her likes. One time use!
Good, good. So now I have Enchanting and now Smithing. I'll weigh my options on those later, because I am in no rush. Either one is extremely useful, I think. Enchanting might be what I grab first to make myself some Magical resistance and some cool stuff to maybe set trees on fire with a swing of a blade. That honestly sound awesome!
New Skill Created: Flying Raijin Technique (Legendary): This technique was created by the Fourth Hokage in the Narutoverse. It allows for the user to place marks with chakra, Magika for you, and then transport themselves and anyone touching them to said marks with a blinding flash of Golden light. Cost is 50 mana per 100 meters, to place the mark is free and it is permanent. Note that other beings can press their Magika into the seal to let you know where they are and teleport to them. If the distance exceeds your magika reserves then the person pressing Magika will also expend some to help summon you there.
"... This is the best thing I could have ever gotten in the history of the world, ever! Not only because of the ability to put this on my allies and traveling can be even easier, but it will make me and Ulfric's claims of being The Fist of Talos hit even harder when I literally appear out of 'holy light'. Best part is because of my amnesia he won't question it either! Who should I use this on first?" I then turn to look at Miranda and then eye her a bit and she then looks at me with a confused expression. "Hey Miranda."
"Hey Bjorn? What's wrong? Something on my face?" She chuckles out at the last part. I shake my head and laugh a little.
"No, nothing like that. I just need you to do me a favor real quick." I say as I get ready to test this new move out.
"Sure!" She says with a bright smile on her face. This does catch a little attention from the others in the room, but it should be fine. "What do you need from me? I will help however I can!"
I nod a few times and then point at her with a amused expression. I love how dedicated she is, it feels nice. "Nothing really major or anything. Can you lower your top for me?"
...
...
...
...
The silence in the room was palpable as I seen her face heat up a good bit. I could hear Ulfric and Ralof both let out a snort and then I finally catch up to the situation. I raise my hands in surrender. "Wait. That's no-"
"BJORN! WHAT IN OBLIV-"
Kodlak Whitemane POV
I was sitting in my office in Jorvasskir and just enjoying a meal that was brought down to me. I spent this morning doing more research on how to break the curse of the Companions. I know that all of the others in the hall love the blessing of Hircine, but I am one who never liked the thought in my later years. I dream of being in Sovngarde, but am unable to with the curse of Lycanthropy on me. Until it is removed I am destined to an afterlife of running through the hunting grounds of Hircine for all eternity. Regardless though I didn't expect my Companions to rush in, tripping over each other, like they were after a fresh kill. I turned to them to see Aela was the one who managed to leap over the lot of them and I saw Vilkas and Farkas underneath while Athar, Torvar, and Njada were on top of them. It was an amusing sight, but then I noticed the look in Aela's eyes and I knew something great has happened. Ysmir knows she only gets this excited when she finds something that makes her blood sing. I let out a laugh as I addressed the display. "Wellll isn't this amusing? And to what do I owe such a funny show too? I will have to buy them a drink for making my day this fun."
A few of them awkwardly chuckled, but I can tell they aren't that upset about it. They treat each other like family, we all do. I wouldn't trade any of that for a million septims. Aela finally spoke, and with so much emotion too. "A legend in the making! We saw a legend in the making, Harbinger!" A legend? Well this will surely be a tale to hear. I motion for her to sit in the chair across from me, and she does so. "You remember that giant we were sent to take care of? The one on the main road." I nodded and she immediately started talking again before I can get a word in. "Well we went to go do that and as we got there we saw this massive man, with hair as red as mine, fighting the creature unarmed and unarmored!" My eyes widened a bit as I heard the words leave her mouth and I held up a hand. She was silent and I looked to the others, who got up and were now in the room, to see if she was telling the truth or exaggerating.
"Before Aela continues, is what she saying true?" They all nodded and I let out a sigh. "Well then I guess it is time to hear the tale of a man squashed by a giant. Continue Aela." I heard a round of laughs. Why are they laughing? The tragic death of a man, regardless of how stupid, is a situation to be taken serious.
"Gladly, Harbinger! Well we all believed he was going to be killed and were about to rush down when we seen him completely dismantle the giant like it was nothing. He kicked it's club in half, and then sent it flying into the nearby stream. After that the giant grabbed him and injured him, but he healed in a matter of seconds, not a single incantation, or spell was uttered as his arm snapped back into place!" I couldn't believe my ears at the words coming out of her mouth and then I heard Vilkas interrupt Aela.
"It's true Harbinger... we watched this unknown man and the giant battle it out for what seemed like hours, but it was over in minutes. He treated it like he was toying with it, like it was prey. The stength of the wolf was his normal form and I don't think he even tried. We had watched one of his attacks involved him leaping to a height that would surpass Dragonsreach and come down with a bone shattering kick. It was amazing, Kodlak..." Vilkas had a look of mild admiration for what he apparently seen. Vilkas is a hard one to impress, and to see it given so freely, I have to believe them on their encounter. To think a man like this could exist. I must meet the man myself, but I was broken from my musings by them continuing.
Farkas took the initiative. "After we watched him stomp the Giant's head into paste, he waved to us and then headed towards a sight I didn't expect. Ulfric Stormcloak." The Jarl of Windhelm is here? He even found himself a very capable ally it seems. I hope he isn't here to strongarm Balgruuf into allegiance. "Turns out they had a meeting with the Jarl today. We heard them speaking with the guards and they were soon taken to the palace. I heard his title that Ulfric used, The Fist of Talos. Apparently he is the will of Talos given physical form." With all these new findings I head over to my desk with my map. I reached under my desk and then grabbed an amulet of Talos from the underside and saw my Companions look to me in confusion.
"Well I have no other explanation as to what he could be and if what Ulfric says is true I would like to wear this and be in his good graces. Besides, I want to meet this Fist of Talos... he may prove interesting." I heard a few snickers from them and then I looked back towards them only to hear the doors down the hall burst open and in ran the panting brother of Jarl Balgruuf. He looked like he just ran around all of Whiterun 8 times and he came stumbling forward. I handed him a waterskin and he greedily drank it up.
"Bahhh... Jarl... Balgruuf... summons the... Companions to... th-the Palace..." Well I am happy to hear it is a summoning and not an attack at least. I patted him on the shoulder and waited for him to catch his breath. After he does so completely he takes in another gulp of air and then continues. "Jarl Balgruuf summons the Companions... for a job. One where he will pay half of his personal treasury to you. He requests only you, Kodlak." Now a new surprise has come to me today. These kids are gonna make my old heart give out before Dawn tomorrow. I never expected to be offered half of Jarl Balgruuf's personal treasury for a job. This must be serious.
"I will be there as soon as I can. Wait for me outside while I get ready." He nods and runs off to wait for me, and with this free time I look to my Companions. "Alright... the Jarl may be requesting only me, but I am at least bringing my inner circle. Where's Skjor?"
"I believe he went to confirm the location of a fragment of Wuuthrad. He should be back tomorrow morning." Vilkas piped up and I nodded to him.
"Well then come on. Farkas, Aela, and Vilkas it seems we have a new job at our doorstep. Let's go meet the Jarl and with luck we will meet our so called Fist of Talos as well. I have to say I am rather excited for this. You have all painted the picture of myth in the making... I hope he won't disappoint the image I have been painted." I laugh and a few of them laugh with me, but it was Aela that spoke up with confidence.
"No, old man.. you will not be disappointed! I just know it!" I then watched her walk off at a fast pace. "I see that look in her eyes... she wishes to test herself against this man. I seen that look once before and it didn't bode well for the other person. At least the rest of the Companions don't have... no I see it in Vilkas' eyes too. Well it seems this guy is gonna be having an eventful day." Another laugh slipped through and I headed to the Jarl's brother to go to Dragonsreach. He saw us assemble and raised an eyebrow. "If the Jarl wishes to hire the Companions then I, an my inner circle, will be present." He wanted to protest, but he stopped himself and lead us to the Palace.
Bjorn POV
So after having to explain myself to Miranda, and calm her down, I then had to sit through her scolding me on why to never ask a woman that kind of question. I didn't think before I spoke and so I paid the price for it. She wasn't having any of it either. No apologies were cutting it, but I at least was able to calm her after and she let me put the first of many seals down on her shoulder. Balgruuf had asked and I told him I was making her the first Finger. He then asked what it took to be considered a candidate for being a Finger and my response was. "Prove to me you are someone special and I will consider it." This abated his curiosity, but Miranda was red in the face after for a bit and wouldn't move away from me. I'm not an idiot, I know she has a thing for me, I did save her after all. I just don't want to approach that topic right now to be honest. Sometime soon sure, but I would like to see if her feelings change after she knows me for more than 2 days.
While we were waiting I tested Observe on the books and sure enough the knowledge was imparted to my head. I even went up in INT by 5 from doing it to all the books in the room. What I found interesting was that black book, 'The Dragonborn'. It gave me all the knowledge I need on what a Dragonborn is and that they are integral to the killing of Dragons. If I want to kill them then I will need Miranda by my side and I will need to make her stronger. Looks like she is gonna get the training from me that she wants, but I may end up having another train her with weapons. I have all the knowledge I need on martial arts and hand to hand fighting. She needs someone to teach her how to handle a sword, axe, or mace. I am, unfortunately, not the guy to do this.
I did take a look in my Inventory and I saw the Vambraces and items I had. I seen how they look and I plan on making some sort of viking like armor to really bring the look home. They look just like the Gauntlets that Thor from Mythology wears and I loved that. I also decided that my 80 stat points were gonna be put into my INT and WIS so that I can get them up. After that I will be focusing on my CHA to get that up a bit.

It wasn't looking bad at all. I was happy to get my Magika amount up and my regen for it went up too. Once I passed 50 on them though I was given a 2 new skills.
Magika Battery: You now are generating enough Magika to be considered a power supply to some. When you reach 35% of your Magika total, you increase your regen amount by 20%
Eagle Vision: You been around the block and know your stuff. Traps and secret doors are easier to find now! Good eyes there Bjorn! One would say you have an Eagle's sight! :D
"She made my description for it... a pun. I love you Magna." I felt her smile and was sent a giggle from her as I watched the proceedings. I eventually got up with Miranda and we walked over to the table to join the proceedings. It was mostly them talking about how to convince the Jarl's from both sides to come to the Summit and I used that moment to put a Flying Raijin Seal on Ulfric, Ralof, and Bulgruuf. At some point I heard Irileth downstairs and so I sent out a Hunter's Pulse to see who she was talking to and I seen an old man with a few of the people I saw hanging out on the battlements that watched my fight with the Giant. What was weird is that I felt them give a reaction as it passed them over. I could swear I sensed their hair stand on end after it passed over them.
Kodlak POV
"I felt this... overbearing pressure come over me. Like I was being watched by something. Something exceedingly dangerous. The wolf inside is telling me to stay on edge. Interesting."
Vilkas POV
My eyes widened as the rush of a dangerous pressure punched my very soul. "I haven't felt such a bloodlust since Farkas received the gift and we had to put him down for his first turning. Is that The Fist? This makes me want to fight him even more now. To truly test myself!" I felt my lips curl and my hair lower down again.
Aela POV
"Yes! This is the feeling of someone worthy of the hunt! I can feel it put pressure on me as if it was trying to squeeze the air from my lungs... what a wonderful feeling... I wouldn't consider myself someone to roll over, not even to whatever this is. If it is The Fist then I will be overjoyed to test myself against him, but if it is someone else that wishes harm to the Jarl..." My lips curled back and I let out a chuckling growl as Farkas stepped in front of me to hide my reaction from Irileth. "I'll enjoy hunting them!"
Farkas POV
"I haven't felt a passing bloodlust like that since I fought that hagraven and killed her in front of her pet Briar Heart. This isn't someone to take lightly... to do so spells death. I hear Aela reacting to it as well. Good. It wasn't just me then." I put myself in front of Aela and we continued going up. I was about to see what this job was and I was frankly very interested to hear what this is.
Bjorn POV
"Weird... oh well." I waited for them to make it to the top of the stairs and then went to a wall and then leaned up against it. I'll opt to listen to this instead. I don't have to be involved in everything, especially since I just learned about the history of this world in great detail. I soon saw the form of Irileth enter the top of the staircase followed closely by the Companions. A few of them eyed me, especially the redhead with the bow. I seen the spark in her eyes and could see she wanted to fight me, but it wouldn't be good. I then saw that Miranda moved in front of me as a form of protection as she eyed the redhead. I didn't need protecting, but the 2 of them just stared at each other for a bit.
Irileth then decided to speak up. "The Companions have arrived, my Jarl. I shall take my leave to the skyforge now." Jarl Balgruuf nodded and before she could leave he went to the chest and pulled out a key. After he unlocked it he handed Irileth a pouch of gold and she nearly dropped it from the weight. Her and the Companions looked at him with a mix of confusion across their faces.
"I destroyed her sword when I tested it's edge on Bjorn over there." He pointed to me and a few of them looked over here to me again. "It shattered like glass so she needs a new sword. I want her to get some skyforged steel for herself." A few nodded and the one with the greatsword then grabbed the same eye that the redhead had. "Seriously is all these guys do is fight? I don't mind, but come on... what about chess or something?" After that the redhead spoke up after what felt like ages.
"Seems the girl has already claimed him as a mate. Hahaha. Look at how she is staring at me." Miranda then blushed up a storm and hid her face with her hair a bit and then growled a bit, but that only made the room chuckle a bit at her reaction and when I got in on it she practically ran over and kicked me in the leg, but then yelped as she grabbed her foot. Poor girl is running on impulse, I wonder if the way she is acting has anything to do with having the soul of a dragon and if it influences her mood. For all I know she has claimed me as a piece of her hoard subconsciously. We'll see as the future unfolds.
"Alright enough messing with her. She only has so many toes..." This gets a few more nods and chuckles. It broke the ice so that was good. "Ulfric, Balgruuf... you 2 had a job for them if I recall." I said as I went back to observing the whole ordeal before me. This got them to nod and Ulfric smirked at how forward I was being while the old man, Kodlak I presume, smirked for a different reason. It was like he read my soul through my eyes and I was a little confused.
"Right, Fist." Balgruuf then turned to Kodlak and then he opened up negotiations. "Kodlak, Ulfric and I have a request, but I will start with this. Effectively, as of this morning Ulfric Stormcloak has called off the war." This turned a few heads to Ulfric who just stood there and smiled to them. "Well I say called off, but it is mostly postponed. A new threat has made itself known and can rival the Oblivion Crisis if allowed to fester. It is for this reason that Ulfric has thought it best to call for a Summit of the Jarls." Now they gave their full attention. "We would like the Companions to sponsor this Summit and to pick it's location and man the security of it. I know this may not be the jobs you are used to getting, but we need a neutral party that is not involved with the war in any capacity and can effectively remain impartial in this. Can we count on the Companions, Kodlak Whitemane?"
Kodlak looked on in thought as he heard the conclusion to the words. Given how everyone is acting every time we broach this topic I can only assume Summits are rare. From the history of Skyrim I saw there was only 4 to ever happen and for large scale reasons, so this is like telling them to witness history. After mulling it over for awhile he then nodded sagely and then fixed his gaze on Balgruuf. "So this is why you offered the reward to be half your personal treasury. I can see why if you are both calling for this, and I can do so, but if the Companions do this..." He pointed a finger at both me and Miranda. "I want them to join the Companions." Unexpected, but more allies are welcome to me. "I can see it in their eyes. The Fist of Talos I presume?" I nodded and he continued. "Your eyes hold a dormant power of which should be cultivated. I wish to oversee this cultivation." Makes sense. The Companions were mentioned in the history books. They made the greatest warriors and legends, plus they aren't pompous about it either and treat everyone like family. "As for the girl I see a certain strength and spirit... she will do wonders for the Companions and the world. For her it is the same."
Both Jarls looked at each other and Ulfric turned to me with a questioning gaze. "Would you join them should they take this? I don't wish to force you into a spot you don't wish to be Bjorn."
I gave a shrug. "I can join, but I can't promise to be in attendance all the time. I have other things I need to do, like my purpose if you recall Ulfric." He nodded and then the man with the Greatsword spoke next.
"What is your purpose then, Fist of Talos?"
I put on my serious face and then spoke in a neutral tone, as if this is the most natural response I possess. "My purpose is the eternal defence of Skyrim and all of it's people and allies. I will defend it's people from all threats, be them internal or external. They prayed for Talos to save them and to guide them and I am his response. An eternal warden who can never die, never rest, and never falter. Eternal protection... that is my purpose." Silence permeated the room and a few of the Companions gave me a small clap and Balgruuf was put to ease, but Kodlak looked... sad? Is he pitying me? I'll have to ask him later.
Kodlak then turned to Miranda and she sheepishly replied. "Where Bjorn goes, I go. He is strong and saved my life so I owe it to him." Kodlak nodded and his respect for her visibly grew.
"You don't owe me anything Miranda." I said leaning against the wall still. She looked put down and then I scoffed. "You are way too easy to mess with dummy. I never said you weren't welcome to join me. Besides you are a candidate to be my first Finger. I gave you something so when we fight and kill Alduin, then I hope you enjoy it." As soon as I said the name of the World Eater, I saw the Companions visibly flinch. "Yes, the threat that is the reason for the 5th Summit of Skyrim is none other than the return of the World Eater. Do with that what you will."
The gears in Kodlak's head began to turn and I seen him point a finger to the map to a darkened spot. He then spoke with assurance in his voice. "The Summit will be held here!"
Balgruuf looked and then shook his head. "No. That fort was taken over by a large number of bandits. It is too dangerous of a location." Kodlak never faltered in his gaze.
He then spoke. "The Fist of Talos, Miranda, Aela, and Vilkas can have it cleared before nightfall. Send them and we will take it back, while we work on the messages to the Jarls. My signature will also help with some of these messages. If I remember correctly, Elisif will immediately jump to come see me again. I was a long time friend to her father and was labled a surrogate grandfather to her. If she sees my signature she'll come and we have so much to do with no time to waste!" He was not letting up and that old man must have had a little spit fly on Balgruuf. Either way respect is given to you old man.
I then got up and stretched and cracked my whole body. "Knew the giant was just an appetizer. Come on Miranda, let's go kill some bandits. Your aim with that bow of yours is gonna be critical to this." She looked unsure, but the redhead, Aela, then piped up.
"Ohhh another person good with a bow? Well then let's make a game out of it then to motivate you Miranda. I'll shoot with you at the bandits and whoever kills more gets to warm the bed of Bjorn tonight." She said as if it was obvious. If I was drinking something I would have spit it out, Gamer's Mind be damned. I was about to protest and then I heard Miranda.
"I won't lose to some hussy with facepaint! Come on Bjorn I wanna shoot some Bandits!" She stormed off before I could say anything and I saw Ulfric and Ralof just look at me.
"One word from either of you and I will skin you both alive." I said with a dead tone that made them nearly lose it, but the just held back the laugh.
As I was walking off I then heard Ulfric, from over the steps of Aela and Vilkas. "I'll prepare a carriage for you two lovebirds Bjorn." I glared at him and he waved it off dismissing me. "Don't give me that look I hardly have anyone to mess with like this and you make it easy." Son of a bitch used my own thoughts against me. I just decided to leave with the rest so I can get some kills in a fort. Time to clear the way for a Summit.
Author's Note:
Good afternoon everyone! I am glad to see new follows as well as more kind words from you all about the story. It fills me with joy to see this and I am only able to post one chapter today it seems. I would have posted another, but it was time to clean the house and I have a Wildemount game to run in 2 hours from now so I tried to make this chapter a long one to make up for it. Next chapter we will be seeing the 4 here go to the fort near the Western Watchtower and take out a whole bunch of Bandits and Bjorn will be showing some of his new tricks as well as stuff he didn't show Miranda, Ulfric, and Ralof.
Anyway I'll stop rambling and i'll start answering comments now!
TheCrimsonShout: It is the big sad that the tooth was forgotten, but he can get another lol. Also no I don't think I will give him the ability to be a Dragonborn from absorbing them because he grabs biomass and biological boosts as well as Knowledge and memories. To be a Dragonborn then you have to have a soul of a dragon and that falls into the spiritual side of things that his powers don't encompass.
Jaoheah: Thanks! I like the profile photo bro!
PtWilson: Just reading it and knowing you enjoy it puts a smile on my face!
Moose3333: Yeah I get what you mean about the ID's. I put them in here for crafting materials, and money. His race is already gonna give him explosive growth and a lot of other goodies that will make him OP naturally, but later on. Also yes I was gonna put him with Miranda and Serana. I like Serana as well and I feel like she could use some love in her life. If you know how Coldharbor vampires are made then you would know why I think so.
Animelover3246: Glad you liked it and I am going for a nordic theme, probably gonna have him get some armor that looks like the Talos statues honestly XD.
Alzieferin: Thanks for the comments and the love bro! Enjoy this chapter and many more to come!
Donbasos: Oh yeah it was very theatrical. While I was writing it I was having so much fun and with the music I played I felt like I was there for a bit. It hit different at that point lol
Arrowman: Glad you like it and I hope to see more of your comments! And yes I thought it would work as well. Technically he isn't lying either when he says he has amnesia as well. I even helped Ulfric believe him by giving him an intentions detecting shout. I can't believe that Ulfric only knows one shout since he studied the Thu'um for a long time. I also hope you, and everyone else, like how I am making him and the rest of the world actually smart and not "Blah blah blah war effort and all so when we win we fight the World Eater."
