In this story I am doing two in one and it explains one of my favourite relationships in the show the one between Merlin and Gwen. I am doing two stories that both show how each of them gives support to the other. Lots of friendship and comfort in both of these stories.

The ghost was always there, following Arthur, haunting his thoughts, creeping into his everyday life, yet his ghost may or may not be dead. When Merlin is revealed as a sorcerer in a dramatic fashion, Arthur makes a rash decision that impacts both of their lives forever. Merlin Emrys is a pottery in one of the last British Pottery's to use such a skill. with businesses moving out of the country or closing for good he and his small team wonder what the new owner will be like. Will he be an asset stripper and put them all out of work or will they finally get a boss who listens to then and gets the business flourishing once more. Read note at begining

Arthur can't deal with the shock of finding out about Merlin so he goes and yells at Gwaine instead. A short, unrealistic reaction to a magic reveal.

Merlin turns into a story teller to Gwen and Arthur's son Lachlan. He also shares a "secret" knowing that Lachlan will go and tell his father. The act enables Merlin to set Arthur up nicely and have some fun.

Alternative story with merlin and Morgan's love and the friendship of Arthur and Merlin. Merlin confuses to Arthur but what happens after that? There are bits that are not suitable for some people. Sorry if it isn't any good.

After five years of marriage with Arthur owning his own bakery and Merlin sorting all the money and bills out, Merlin starts to miss his husband as the blond spends more time at the bakery than he does with him, feeling lonely Merlin hatches a plan to get his husbands attention once again.

Centuries after the fall of King Arthur, Merlin still resides near Avalon Lake. He awaits the rise of the Once and Future King, as prophesied. And one morning as the water of the lake begins to ripple and the fog breaks across the lake, Merlin is there, ready to welcome his friend back to the world, or more exactly the twenty-first century.
