Arthur and Merlin meet when they're seven and Merlin's family is moved into the castle. They grow up together, fall in love, build a life, rule a fine kingdom, and everything plays out as it should. "They wouldn't have changed a second of their lives together."

Uther knew how dangerous magic was, he wasn't about to declare war on it. So he banishes the magic users to the Darkling Woods, to return on pain of death. Raised as a Prince, Merlin only knows what others have told him. That it's his destiny to kill the Pendragons. But when Arthur and Merlin meet, bonds are tested. Will they destroy themselves in the war, or bring about a new era?

What happens when Merlin starts to think he should be fighting to protect and free the magical community, whether or not Arthur is on his side? CURRENTLY ON HIATUS

Arthur is in the military and is home on leave. "Merlin wanted to feel Arthur inside him again. He wanted to be able to feel him tomorrow, the day after… for as long as he could once Arthur was gone. He needed Arthur's imprint on his skin..."

The Dragon tells Merlin it is his destiny to be by Arthur's side as his protector, not in Arthur's bed or in his heart. Sometimes Merlin hates that.

Merlin fled Camelot with the help of Gwaine after Arthur found out about his magic. Now Gwaine has to pick up what's left of Merlin and try to piece it back together.

The lake of Avalon slowly dries up, and Merlin preserves the ghosts of his past.
