Because Merlin is Arthur's reason. And because Merlin loves cherries. Merlin/Arthur and introspection and cherry-stained-lips. Something light we all so desperately need.

Merthur: It was an innocent thing really. He just wanted some peace and quiet for a change. But Merlin must have messed up his pronunciation because now he was faced with a 10 year old monstrosity.
