Chapter 2: Cute Dates
A hand make soft knocks on the door before Aoi open it and she smile at the person in front of her. "Hello, Tsunade." She greeted the hokage, "Come on in."
"Hello, Aoi." The busty woman greeted her as she enter the apartment, "Where's gaki and pipsqueaks?" She glance up and down Aoi's appearance, the blue-haired girl was wearing a blue sundress with green floral patterns.
"Naruto's giving girls the bath." Aoi replied before she giggle, "Although we are trying to get Nana out of the water but she really love her bath." The blonde woman was about to say something until they hear the bathroom's door opening, following by a voice.
"Kyaaa!" Nana stretched her arm out at the bathtub over her father's shoulder with a whimper as Naruto carried the twins.
"Nana, I know you love your bath but we are done with it for now." Naruto tried to hold her still with a chuckle as Jaajaa snuggle up against his chest with a coo.
"Mou!" The young twin rests her chin on his shoulder with pout and cute glare as if she was demanding him to take them back to bath.
"Don't pout." He chuckled before he notice Tsunade, "Oh, hey, baa-chan!"
"Don't call me that." Tsunade's eyebrow twitched.
"Why?" Naruto gave her a cheeky smirk, "You're actually a grandmother." He glanced down at his daughters, "Girls, look, your baa-chan is here."
"Kyah!" Jaajaa stretched her hands out with bubbly smile.
"Dooo." Nana lift her head up to stare at the hokage, "Dou."
'Damn you, brat, damn you…' The hokage stared at the adorable twin before a sigh escape her lip as she reach out to them, "Gimme them."
"Thank you for agreeing to watch after the girls while we're going out." Aoi said as the hokage take the twin in her arms carefully, "The bottles are in refrigerator. Their naptime will be in about a hour."
"Oh, and teething toys are in the pen." Naruto pointed to the baby pen, where some teething rings lay on top of the baby mat. "I'd be very careful with Jaajaa if I were you. She bite a lot and they're pretty painful than you think."
"She almost bite our nipples off few times." The dragon girl rubbed her left breast with a wince and the hokage noticed that the genin also winced at that, look like he have been victim to Jaajaa's biting habit. "Thankfully, she don't bite a lot lately after Nana bit her tail in their sleep."
"How painful are we speaking here?" Tsunade asked wearily as she stared down at the said baby who give her a innocent look and she gulped mentally when Jaajaa's smile reveal two sharp fangs.
"As I just said before, it's more than you think." The genin repeated as the parents get ready to leave before they give the twins quick kiss, "Girls, we'll be out for a while so be good to your baa-chan."
"Bye, Jaajaa, Nana." Aoi waved at her daughters cutely, "Mama and papa are going on their date, we'll be back before you know it."
"Have a good time, you two." The hokage said to the parents before they left and she carry the twins to the living room.
"Four months."
"Mm?" Aoi turned her head to her soulmate as they walk together down the path side by side.
"I realized that it has been four months since you and our daughters have come into my life." Naruto said.
"Oh." She looked surprised by that, "I don't know that. Felt like short to me."
"Same." He replied, "We've been busy with raising the twins." There were some missions that he took away from his family in between this period.
"Hehe, we have been." Aoi agreed, "It was very exhausting to look after them at the beginning because they kept us awake with their cries."
"Thank kami for tips and tricks to help us getting through that one." Naruto grimaced at the memories, the parents have lost a lot of sleep when they tried to calm the wailing twin down in middle of night. They manage to get through it after reading several parent books and some advice from kind neighbors who have families. The dragon girl nod at that before he gets back on track, "We have been together for four months and we have been on seven dates so far."
"Including the one we're on right now?" She asked.
"Yeah." He confirmed before he reach up to rub the back of his head bashfully, "You must be wondering why I'm bringing it up all of sudden…" Aoi simply tilt her head curiously at him, "I…I want to kiss you from now onward. It's just feel weird that we have been together for this long and we have never share a kiss." He feel so shy for saying it out loud to his soulmate, "I really like you a lot…Like, I love you…And I…"
"I love you too." Aoi pressed her lips onto his lips suddenly as she stand up on her toes then she step back, pulling away from her blushing stunned soulmate and she was also blushing. There was nothing but silence between them until one of them speaks up.
"Can we do it again?" Naruto cupped her cheeks gently.
"Yes." She gave him a sweet smile with heavy blush before they lock their lips again and their kiss last longer this time.
The couple were celebrating their tenth date by visited a fancy restaurant and Naruto still have no idea why the owner give him a huge discount, something about force pervy sage with tab, but he's not complaining about it. Now, the couple is enjoying a quiet night at park as they sit on bench. "I feel so full from eating this big beef." Aoi exhausted out as she rest on the blonde's shoulder.
"I hear you." Naruto agreed as he rubbed his stomach, it feel like it's going to pop. "Who would know that they'll serve huge portions?" He glanced at the blue-haired girl, 'And who would know that she can pack it all away in one sitting and still eat more?' He don't say it to her face out of fear of upsetting her.
"Yes." She smiled, "But it's so tasty. Maybe we can go back there again for our twentieth date?"
"Look like I have to make reservations in future." He chuckled and his soulmate hugged his arm happily. "So where do you want to go next?"
"Mm…" Aoi tapped her chin, "Can we go on a little shopping for the girls? I mean, is it okay to do it on date?"
"Oh, it's fine." Naruto grinned.
"Really?" The dragon girl perked up.
"Yeah." He cupped his chin in deep thought, "But will these stores be opening this late?"
"Oh, I didn't think of that." Aoi hummed, "Want to check?"
"Yup." Naruto stretched his limbs out slightly, "Ready to go?" His soulmate respond with a nod as they get up then walk down the path, chatting while holding hands.
"Aooooo!" Nana squirmed in Naruto's arms with bright eyes and her outstretching arms waving at a beach of lake.
"Wait a little bit, Nana." He chuckled lightly at his young daughter and he glance over his shoulder at Aoi as she apply sunscreen lotion on Jaajaa. Naruto can't help but to blush at Aoi's tight yellow one-piece swimsuit, somehow she make cute sexy in his view. The twin wear matching blue frilly one-piece swimsuit and he was wearing a orange swimshort with black t-shirt. The parents have decided to have a family date at a beach since it's a nice day and it's the twins' first time going to lake.
"There, now you will not get any nasty, nasty burns." Aoi smiled at her cooing elder daughter as she carries her up to Naruto.
"Ready to go in?" Naruto grinned at his nodding girlfriend and they walk into the shallow part of the lake, sitting down as they keep their holds on the babies.
"Kya, kya!" Nana slapped her hands on water like crazy, indirectly splashing her sister.
"Aoo!" Jaajaa attempted to block the splash with her arms but the water keep slapping her pouting face before she splash back in attempt to get revenge on her younger sister to the parent's amusement.
"Play nice, you two." The mother giggled at her squealing daughters before she squeak out in surprise when Naruto splash some water at her direction, "Naruto, no!" She yelped out, despite a smile on her face.
"Naruto, yes!" He splashed her with a laughter and Nana giggle with him, splashing more.
"Jaajaa, let's get them!" Aoi start to splashing back and the said girl slap her arms down on water with agreeing squeal. The family laugh under the water fight as it went on for few minutes before the parents allow the twins to do a little swim with helps.
"Ok, Nana, daddy gets you." Naruto keep his hands under the said girl's stomach as security, the water may reach his knees but it's deep enough for the twins.
"Now swim to your mama." The smiling mother held her left hand out to Nana, her another arm cradle Jaajaa. They were within an arm reach.
"Aooo!" Nana slowly make her way to her mother, her tail wagging as a steer and she reach her mother's arm with a exciting squeal.
'It's a little hard to wrap my mind around the fact that dragon mature a little fast than human.' The blonde smiled at his daughters with pride, not even one year old and his little girls can swim.
After swim, the parents set their children on the sandy shore then put sandcastle playset down, which Jaajaa swiftly latch on with gleeful squeal while Nana stare at waves forlornly. "Kids usually don't make faces like that." Naruto poked Nana's cheek lightly with a small sweatdrop, wondering how he can cheer her up this time.
"Hehe, give Nana to me." Aoi held her hands out with a light chuckle as Naruto give her their young daughter and the blonde sit down next to Jaajaa.
"Kyah." Jaajaa flipped the empty bucket over to him as if she's telling him to play with her.
"Do you want daddy to make tall or big pretty castle?" Naruto scoop some sands up into the bucket with a chuckle.
"Aooo!" The elder twin stretched out to him, waving the toy shovel and her father just chuckled again while the mother watch on with a beaming smile, rocking the young twin in her arms.
"I love you." Naruto bend down to kiss Jaajaa's forehead lightly then he move over to kiss Nana's forehead as the sleepy babies coo softly in crib, "I love you. Good night, you two" He tickle under their chins lightly, causing the babies to giggle in sleepy delight before they fall asleep and Naruto quietly make his exit from the twin's bedroom. The family has change the apartments and the new apartment have two bedrooms, large living room, two bathrooms and kitchen.
"Are they sleeping?" Aoi smiled at him from the couch with blanket over her laps and the blonde give her a nod as he join her.
"What are you doing?" He asked out of curiosity, glancing at object on top of her laps.
"Oh, I'm reading the manual for camera." She answered with starry eyes as she pick the said manual up, she's really looking toward taking picture of her adorable daughters and fill the family album with her soulmate.
"Ah, I see." Naruto put his arm around her shoulders for a cuddle as his hand massage her shoulder softly, "Maybe you can teach me once you're finished learning."
"I will." Aoi pecked his chin with a giggle.
"I love you." He kissed her cheek.
"And I love you too." She kissed his cheek and they look into each other's eyes as they slowly lean their heads together to kiss on lips…Only to stop when the sound of crying reach their ears. "Oh, it's happening again." She was about to get up but her soulmate stop her.
"I get it." Naruto got up with a assuring smile, "Keep reading, I'll be back in a moment."
"Ok, Naruto." Aoi watched him entering the twins' bedroom before she turn back to manual with a soft humming tune.
And that end the second chapter of SIHDF!
Not much going on beside couple short moments to get some glimpser into Naruto's life with his family. Naruto have been making some effort to getting know Aoi and spend time with his family.
How long will it take until Naruto become closer with Aoi? Will we see some cute moments or not? What'll happen next? Let's find out in next chapter!
